KDC - Paw Mittens

Some heavy leather restraints for a change : these are the KDC Paw Mittens.

Those thick leather pads should convey a good bondage feeling to your pet.

The leather textures and seams look great, and this is a great example of using mesh and prims together to best effect.

Mesh and alpha means these are not suited to v1 users; as more and more cool toys start using the new features, it will become harder to hold back.

The second pic shows the back of the paw, and the inside part with toe pads.. just so you don’t go thinking lelo sprained something really badly, those are two pictures ;)

Here’s another mesh product from our friends at KDC, waves at Kyrah.

These mittens feature a lot of the things i love about KDC’s products.

First there is the great quality of the design, just that a look at the stitching on them.

Then there is her leather textures, especially the orthopedic, shown in the close up is one of the best i’ve seen in SL yet.

You get a choice of 10 colors for the glove and strap and 7 colors for the metal parts.

Finally there is the TouchBound locking system, arguably the most intuitive locking system in SL. i love it, just point and lock, you can’t get it any easier.

Ohh and when you get your paws, take some time to unpack them, the opening of the package is another little work of art... enjoy..

Bax Coen Design - Prestige Boots Latex

We’d call this post “hot off the press” for any other designer, as they came out Saturday, but the whole world probably knows about Bax’s latest release, the latex Prestige boots.

As if that’s going to stop us ;)

The Prestige boots have been my favorites from way back, and while we’ve used the patent ankle version with many a latex outfit, this new version is going at the top of my shelf for future photo shoots.

The texture, as with other Bax models, is perfect. The shine and folds suggest thin latex and the boots look stunning from near or far.

The colors are quite varied and should match all outfits save the most psychedelic (hey, here’s a thought : zebra latex!).

And speaking of the sixties, the black boots include a black-and-white vertical split design which is fun and distinctive.

Bax herself told me the colors should match Hugo’s, and the Ghost White matches Elixir’s.

In fact, if you drop by the store, you may recognize the Elixir latex raincoat we featured some time back.

The awesome fitting system is still present in this version, so I was able to paste the cool cryptic string that represents the painstaking fitting session I received at the store from a helpful Bax associate.

The price is not low, but is absolutely fair for the quality of work and generous variety of colors you get in each box. And face it, we’ve all paid more for less fantastic footwear.

Bax took her designs into the realm of fetish by making her already famous Prestige boots in latex.

As you might expect the texture is perfect and she smartly took the Hugo colors as her base.

There are 4 color groups each giving you a few color:

- Candy gives you: blue, purple, pink and baby pink.
- Black gives you: black, black & white and a slightly less shiny black
- Red gives you: Venetian, maroon and blood.
- White finally gives you: white, ivory and ghost.

So go for the Candy, that way you get the most bang for your buck and everyone will be wearing black. *winks*

Next to the main color you can customize almost every bit of the boots.

You can also play with the sleeves of the boots, where i wear them up, Mistress doesn’t wear them at all, you also get a left over of the fashion boots, denim sleeves.. *shudders*

The boots have been upgraded to feature the old invisi-prims or the alpha layer, this upgrade is also available for the older leather versions of the boot, updating is painless and fitting the new boots is easy with the most amazing fitting system in SL.

So get them while they are hot.. i know you want them.

Why are the old pics so small?

If you use our blog as a reference - which is totally our intention - it’s possible that while looking up something, you’re going to pre-January 2012 posts and clicking on pictures to zoom.

Instead of the gorgeous large snaps we’ve gotten you accustomed to when you try to zoom, you are now seeing pictures that are only 512 pixels high.

Still far from shabby, but what happened, you ask?

Well.

Blogger changed some things recently. Mostly for the better, I have to admit : the Lightbox way of looking at a posts’ pictures is pretty nice.

But the pictures we upload in Picasaweb are displayed with a link that contains the picture size parameter : /s400/imagename.jpg is the thumbnail, and /s1600/imagename.jpg is full size.

Now what *used* to happen was, a picture with the /s1600/ parameter was *not* resizeable. So you couldn’t see the real size we had snapped, but saw a fixed height.

Removing the /s1600/ was therefore a clever trick (us webgoddesses have our ways!) for a number of years.

But no longer. Since the new updates, a picture displayed without the size parameter shows at a fixed size : 512 pixels high.

So the clever removal of said parameter - for the last 800 posts or so - is shooting us cleverly in the foot.

We’ll slowly go back and fix the pics; it’s an easy if slightly tedious thing to do.

But in the meantime, if you want to see a pic closer, open it in a separate window and add /s1600/ in front of the picture name, and it will appear at the size we intended.

Direct as many angry letters to Google as you want. Please.

Naughty N Nice - After Hours

We first noticed the After Hours booties at Naughty N Nice’s Rubber Room mall shop, then looking closer, saw the cool matching outfit, which turned out to be just as well-designed as the boots themselves.

While they look a little Lady Gaga-esque to me, (not that there’s anything wrong with that!) they cried mama to lelo, and so here we are featuring them.

The heel-less design is somewhat reminiscent of pony gear, but this is clearly a fashion boot. I love the little knotted laces and jewelry hanging from the buckle.

The shine is excellent, matching the skirt perfectly. The price is also quite reasonable. I’d say run to the store, but careful not to run on the way back ;)

After Hours is sold in 3 separate parts, the lovely boots, the shown miniskirt outfit and a pants suit in the same style.

You get a choice of the white or a sheer blouse and we know you love our little hearts but we have a limited supply so we went for the solid white blouse.

The blouse has a prim collar and lovely prim sleeves, where the skirt comes with the prim inserts i love on these short cloth-layer skirts, there are also laces for the corset.

All the prim parts have their own resizer script built in for ease of fitting, though i only had to move the collar slightly, ohh and there is an easy script delete option.

And then there are the boots, the thing that caught my eye in the first place, yes i do see boots that aren’t ballets. *winks*

The heel or better the lack of heel is great, i just love off the wall designs like this.

They fitted me instantly, just needed to pull them up a bit to show all of that lovely “heel”, but if you want to adjust them, there is a lovely HUD with a resizer.

So if you are looking for a sexy little outfit for that perfect first date with a kinky twist, this is what you should go for... at least i would, full latex, ballet heels, chastity, collar, tight corset might give the wrong first impression.

Marianne's Boutique - Estelle Red

We love Marianne’s reds - last time we featured her (November 2010, where does the time go?) was Paprika.

Estelle is a complete outfit, boots included. The whole thing is no copy no mod yes trans - buy it as a gift or pass it on to a new resident in six months, as you wish.

The boots look good with the dark decorative straps, but they use invisiprims to ensure leg fit.

This is where a mod-copy-no trans version would be more interesting - I do like to fiddle - but it’s the one or the other, I’m not complaining.

Some clever tattoos provide a bit of modesty up top, as this is a wide-open catsuit.

An inexpensive, excellent quality outfit once again from Marianne’s. Drop by the Rubber Room if you want to catch her DJ sets, and tell her Deirdre sent you!

The outfit comes with a good looking tattoo layer tattoo, guess that’s how they came up with that name.

The catsuit comes in top and pants layer only and you also get some underwear pasties for the shy at heart.

Finally there are the lovely belted boots, which still use invisi prims but as they are used separately you can always use an alpha layer to hide your feet.

So if you are looking for a sexy catsuit, look no further you found it.. ohh, for now there is only a red version, but as she names the color there is hope for more great colors.

AW Designs - Vervetki Boots

A very fancy pair of transformer boots from AW Designs, these are the Vervetki.

Lelo would find black ballet boots in a cavern with midnight lighting on, and she immediately spotted these when we swung by Latexia.

I said, sure, sweetie, let’s get you a pair.. but, aha! They also transform into a very elegant pair of high heeled boots.

A distinctive fold above the ankle strap and the two-part upper design mark the Vervetki as one of the fancier fetish boots we’ve seen in a while.

The cool prim elements on the foot, like the little chain and rings under the heel carry over from one version to the other.

You can color darn near every part of these boots, resulting in two-color vertical splits if you like.

That’s more adventurous than conservative little old moi really likes, so I went for the lovely Venetian red all over. Which, not coincidentally, matched the Xonirated outfit from AW very nicely ;)

The boots are fully resizeable, you’ll be pleased to hear. The script is only in the right one - I started adjusting sizes manually before noticing that.

This is not an inexpensive item, but when you consider most stores sell other colors as other items, you’ll see this is in fact a bargain.

Yes i know i’m a ballet boot junkie, but hé there are worse addictions. *smiles*

The boots come with a pretty elaborate menu that is controlled from the right boot only.

First on the list is the appearance, containing a good working resizer, shininess, colour and if you want to change the left, the right or both boots.

The coloring can be done by selecting the two halves and selecting a color for each or you can select one of 8 separate parts, hows that for choice.

The next option in the menu lets you select if you want to wear a ballet or a more comfortable style of boot.

Next come the RLV options, including an operators, sounds so much more elegant than owner, selector and a lock and fly/run restriction.

Lastly you will find 3 buttons sending you to her website, online help and a in world help note.

So go get these lovely boots before everyone is wearing them, you get 21 colors in one boot and that’s not counting the mix options.

Hugo's Design - New Releases and Hunt

There are literally more releases than we can fit in a post from Hugo’s Design this week. We picked a few, and we’ll show you the rest next week!

In the first pic, I’m wearing the Xyx Body 4 with green highlights on black. Sweetheart cutout, finglerless gloves and stockings make this a good continuation of the Xyx line. An open top and bottom version are included, more bedroom than clubwear.

In the second pic I’m modeling Zee, in red. Introducing strategically placed vertical straps, this is another pretty naughty outfit, but I think that by now you’re not expecting blue jeans and fluffy sweaters from Hugo’s.

Aside from this cornucopia of new outfits, Hugo’s is offering a cool little freebie called Stripped, which can be the start of a good slave outfit.

There’s also a hunt going on at the store right now : bits of an outfit are spread all over the place. If you haven’t seen the new layout yet, it’s a fun excuse to drop by.

Seems Hugo found a new texture, net latex, never seen it in RL but it is a thought.

First i’m wearing the net cat in black, which comes with or with out a seam. * little red heart is not included.

In the second picture i’m wearing Nanda in yellow, this one gives you a netted or plain latex version.

You also get a catsuit and the top and pants version i’m wearing here, the fingerless gloves are an optional extra.

As with all Hugo’s design the standard options come in the quick on tattoo layer, but you also get all the parts in all the available layers so you can mix and match to your hearts content.

Moyet - Josie Corset

I’d love to say we received an anonymous tip made of cut-up newspaper words suggesting we visit Moyet - but it was just an IM to lelo ;)

The much-appreciated tip (Thanks Hecate!) brought us to a skybox two kilometers in the air - no horizon at that height, just clouds - with a very clean layout.

We saw some lovely latex, but the thing that grabbed us was this lovely prim corset, called Josie.

The colors are quite distinctive, so it might be a little bit tricky to match them.

The textures alternate between a very good impression of Chanel quilted leather, and grey leather with a good grain you can see from up close.

The quality is quite good, and the price fairly low. It’s not a little black dress, but you can probably find a home for it in your wardrobe :)

Guess how got a brand new corset in the mail this week? It still smells new and is stiff as a board, just the way i like them.

The look is great, i especially love the leather texture and the rivets she used.

I’m sure this will be one of the last prim corsets we’ll see, while the mesh corsets will take over in time, this still looks better than the mesh corsets we have seen till now.

The resizing takes a bit of getting used to, and you'd better take a reserve copy just to be safe in case the restore fails.

Ok one down side to this one, no scripts to restrict you more and more or locking stuff, but you get one very good looking corset.

Dari Returns to Second Life

Jaydana (yes, she’s still around) tipped us to a very cool bit of news : Darien Caldwell has returned to SL, after a long absence.

We caught Dari in world and we were lucky enough to have a nice long chat with her. It vaguely started with the intent of being an interview, but it’s a lot longer than you probably want to read ;)

My first question (I’m of the W5 school of journalism!) was why. Why did she really leave, and what brought her back in the world?

While she was indeed concerned with the Lindens’ adult content policy in 2009, the fact is that she was overwhelmed between first and second life and was heading towards a burnout.

She’s determined to avoid that mistake in her new endeavour, a store called [H]arsh.

Dari’s Haus is no more, as she feels the brand has been diluted by the occasional misuse (ie, sale of her free items). Her loyal fans did follow her to the new VIP group, however.

She already has a few items : one for sale, one in the works. And she will take the time to do things right, so don’t expect a ton of new items at once.

Even the existing ones required months learning Blender and perfecting some cool techniques : Dari will be able to offer custom fitting of mesh items (until parametric deform gets here) relatively easily.

So if you’ve missed Dari’s Haus, visit her cool little store, become a group member, buy the new items and join us in welcoming Darien back to Second Life :)

Xena's - LatexHood XT

We saw this amazing hood at Mesmerize Dungeon - still a terrific place to hang out if you want to do some fetish people-watching.

Lelo dutifully made a note to investigate.. then, not a week later, we ran into Xena herself, wearing the hood. I think that’s a good sign :)

It’s a very cool, very well made sculptie, as you can perhaps tell from the first picture.

Aside from the simple shiny black, excellent color textures can be applied, although the black with just a touch of color looks great.

Xena’s little shop is worth a visit : she has a spinning model of the hood you can see before you buy.

You can also buy mannequins of the same design - the hood is actually a mannequin head. Just the thing to decorate a fetish club!

And we thought we had seem them all, but we are glad to bring you some new fetish gear that really caught our eye.

The hood fits me pretty well and i have a big head, at least that’s how it looks to me, though just in case you have some bits sticking out you can always resort to alpha-layers.

The hood can be personalized to your own color wishes, all 13 pieces can be given their own color, but there also is an "all" button for quick changes.

You have 37 colors to choose from, including the most popular POC colors.

The prim parts like the eye bits or the hair tails can be turned on or off, giving you more room to express yourself.

For some play you also get a mouth dildo, which we, as usual, don’t show.

All options can be set from the good looking menu system, she did a great job making this extremely easy to use and readable.

You might expect it and you won’t be disappointed, it does support RLV, ohh and be careful when you let someone weld your hood on, a rescue kit will cost you an extra 200 L$.

Needful Pixel - Food Gags

We got a call from Ilse Bellic, of Needful Pixel : would we be interested in reviewing some of her things?

Turns out Ilse is a friend of Jaimie Earst, so we said sure, and went to visit.

A lovely surprise was waiting at the shop : the cool little gas station at the corner of two Linden roads which we frequently use as a starting point for motorcycle trips sits right at the shop’s doorstep, and was in fact created by Elke Wylie, the other partner at Needful.

We had a look around, and saw a fair bit of cool stuff, but the latest releases are the ones we ended up picking : the three fun “food” gags : strawberry, lollipop, and cupcake.

I’ll let lelo describe them in detail, but this is just the fun sort of stuff we wish we would see more of in Second Life.

I won’t swear she’s working on it as we speak, but Elke did seem to like my suggestion for a banana gag ;)

Well after all those clothes it’s high time for some toys, so here are the fun looking gags by Needful PIXEL.

Elke and Ilse took the standard ring gag one step further by adding some fun and tasty items in the mix, those rubber gags do have their own special taste.

As you might expect from a gag like this you get the full RLV options, but as a nice little extra they also are Xcite! compatible, so that should give it a new dimension.

The menu offers you a good help note, which explains all the options you get with this gag, better be prepared for a bit of a study, the options list is pretty long.

For now you have a choice of the shown, cupcake, lollipop or strawberry but rumour has it that more fruit is on its way.

You do have the option to hide the strap while leaving you gaged, so a PG friendly gag at last, no one will think twice when you walk around with a lollipop, though the strawberry and cupcake might take a bit of explaining.

I’m glad, all those cupcakes and lollies make fitting my corset quite a bit harder lately. *winks*

Lady Anne's - Queen of the Night and Mistress’ Heart

We took our friend Hikari motorcycle riding a while back. She seems to have gotten the bug, because she tipped us to a really spectacular riding sim, Mystic Falls.

Aside from the most amazing covered sky roads I’ve ever seen, the sim sports Lady Anne’s Latex Emporium and Legacy Leathers store, where you can get custom designed MC colors, and a few nice latex outfits.

I’m wearing Queen of the Night, a fun goth-vamp-buckle fetish outfit. The cape immediately cried mama to me when I saw it, and I was lucky enough to win the outfit on the lucky board in the store, so here it is :)

This is a full outfit, with boots and an AO with sexy walk. Fun extras include fangs, poseball pairs for biting rp, and a cool little coffin handbag.

The ankh design is reprised on the chest plate, belt buckle and purse, so maybe Lady Anne was influenced by Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned.

The boots are mod copy, so take a backup if you decide to resize them a bit.

This is quite a decent outfit for the price. Visit the store, and bring your bike :)

The Mistress’ Heart out fit comes with a nice mix of prim and cloth layer clothing, there are also boots included in the pack.

The under-layer clothing offers you a fully closed catsuit and the pants and jacket layer shows a bit more skin, like shown in our pictures.

The prim skirt is very simple but of the kind i really love to wear, short and floaty. *smiles*

Sadly the lovely boots suffer of what we call the black on black problem, you must get really close to see the details on them.

Those of you still stuck in the V1 viewer will be glad to hear that the invisi prims are included in the back next to the alpha layer.

You also get a nice paddle with the outfit, but as i don’t have a licence to use one we don’t show it here. *winks*

Ohh and when you are at the store give the trampoline in front of the store a try, works with an AV but on a bike you really get some air time.

Morgan Fenwitch - DIY Mesh Catsuit

We met Morgan at Rubber Room last week, and her catsuit really impressed me.

A closer look revealed the reason : it was a mesh catsuit!

I immediately pounced, and she was nice enough to tell me about it... and allow me to drag her to the studio for an impromptu shoot :)

First, forget running to a store (as I did), because she made it herself. It’s custom-fitted to her shape, and she’s not taking orders.

Morgan said two things : “It’s actually not too hard to make a suit like this.” and “Blender makes it easy with wrapping and subdividing modifiers, but you do need to have avatar mesh to wrap to.”

Well. I think I understood the first.

So drop your modifiers in the blender and get creating :)

Jaimie Earst - Mesh Boots with Esnya and Prima dresses

I haven’t seen any others, so I am going to call them the first ever in SL, okay? Introducing the incredibly awesome first mesh thigh boots from Jaimie Earst.

I’m rapidly falling in love with mesh. When I told lelo “Let’s take our time and make sure these are fitted perfectly”, she was nice enough to not say anything.

So, duh. You can’t edit or adjust mesh clothes - they line up with your bones. So in a few moments, I picked the tightness I wanted (size 2) and I had perfect-fit boots.

Excellent shine plus a skirt prim I’d call the best I’ve seen since the one from Drawmachine. I nearly regret not modeling the pink Prima - it looks like a candy apple :)

As a PS, I'm completely satisfied with Phoenix 1.60 so far. So if you were hesitating, go right ahead and dive in.. the water’s fine.

Jaimie gives you 5 sizes of the boots so they will fit your thighs, yes that’s still a little draw back with mesh, no resizing, but then no long fitting sessions as well.

The Alpha layer comes in 2 sizes, but if you need more i just point you to last fridays post.

Ok so we love these boots, but let's not forget the matching dresses she offers as well.

Mistress is wearing the Prima dress which is a lovely latex dress which is fully closed in the front, but almost fully open in the back, people will love to see you go...

I’m wearing the Esnya dress which has the same open back but comes with a nice low bust line, and the amazing prim breast cover which is fully adjustable.

Both skirts have a mesh skirt cover, which just snaps into place.

So run and get your favorite color and the one you like a bit less, and.. ahh just get them all, she’s practically giving them away.

Avatar Alpha Masks - Imnotgoing Sideways

Do you know, I thought something like this would be out there, because it’s so useful and it makes so much sense? I had a peek on Marketplace, and sure enough, there it was : Avatar Alpha Masks, by Imnotgoing Sideways.

Included in the kit are the alpha masks, ready to use (36 as I write this) and textures, suitable to save as tga and edit with Photoshop or similar.

They’re free, so I encourage you to mail Imnotgoing some cash if you find these useful.

She updates the box every month or so on marketplace, a little less at the shop.

So, if there’s a shape you need and you’re not feeling creative, have a look now and again.

Imnotgoing is very nice, and answered a question in such a clear way I’ll just quote her :

Deirdre Young: ah, the negative numbers on the feet alphas.. do they mean something?

Imnotgoing Sideways: Yeah. 0 is the seam between the leg and the foot in the UV map. Positive numbers go up the legs for boots. Negative numbers leave more visible foot for open shoes. (^_^)

The textures are covered by the very cool Creative Commons Attribution license so you can share or adapt them, but you should make it clear she made the originals.

Graves - The Cat

A new-ish release from Graves (I’ve had my eye on it for a while now!), this outfit is simply called The Cat.

The Cat includes a bunch of good prim parts : goggles, gloves, arm straps, zipper, belt, whip, collar.. and the cutest lil' ears :)

The clothes layers are all there, but you can wear the catsuit and mask on the tattoo layer and save all that.

Surprisingly, there is no closed zip version of the catsuit. Guess this is not really an outfit meant for stealth ;)

Textures look great from up close, dark from everywhere else. At their smallest, the goggles fit me pretty well, but I have a smallish head - it shows when I’m not wearing hair.

So a great, inexpensive outfit considering all that you get - just add heels and you’re there.

Aaaannnd... there is in fact a bowl of milk included.

Red Devil - The Red Devil

Let’s start the new year on a naughty foot (or cloven hoof) : Introducing the Red Devil outfit by Red Devil - what took them so long, eh? ;)

It’s a handsome fetish outfit, with brilliant color and good shine. The devilish details (horns, tails and wings) are well executed.

Add a suitable demon skin and you’re there - Lelo looks way too wholesome ;)

The front sports a yellow abstract flame-like design, possibly symbolizing heartburn - no, I kid, it’s a nice touch.

The fetish demonette wouldn’t be complete without her hooves, so a nice pair of ballets are included.

They’re red and shiny and look good, but don’t look for an exact match to the stockings - we know by now how tricky that is.

So drop by the Red Devil and pick up the Red Devil, and go win some contests ;)

Some time ago, our friend Pet had an idea for a fun bondage toy. She called Katie Paine, who obligingly built it for her, and the Holiday Restraints were born.

It’s a good idea, and Lady Gaga, who seems to swipe all her best inspirations from this blog, (I kid - she's way wilder than us!) even posed in a similar toy ;)

The lights look really good, flashing in a pretty authentic way. Once decorated, your sweetie can’t walk but will do a pretty entertaining hop.

I think I’ll leave the lights up until March this year ;)

BareRose Tokyo - Skeleton Harness

BareRose Tokyo isn’t typically known for their selection of pony play gear. The sprawling store has hundreds of outfit choices on walls that raise the height of ten avatars.

Buried amongst the myriad of outfits I was surprised to find a lovely little harness.

Located in the “Sexy” section of the store (fourth row from the bottom, middle of the wall), the “Skeleton Harness” is a great outfit for a pony looking for something a little bit different than the standard BDSM harness.

The harness itself is on clothing layers, but has prim attachments to accentuate the outfit that give it a bit of flair. I found the prim portions to be easy to adjust and fit, although the outfit even looks great without them.

The harness can be worn alone, or with included latex under layers which come in six colors (black, blue, orange, pink, purple, and red).

One of the best aspects of this outfit is the cost. Like most others at BareRose Tokyo, the Skeleton Harness is very affordable at only L$150.

The store also offers other fetish outfits and many more non-fetish, and the store is well worth a browse, despite the often confusing layout.

Catch It - Luci

Lelo spotted another great outfit while I was napping (again!) and it grew on me when we examined it closer. Introducing Luci, by Catch It.

And speaking of growing on me, tattoo layer - my first : woohoo!

Luci is a detailed all-clothes layer catsuit, with lovely muted colors : black (the center part is grey), blood (which I’m modeling), blue (which I have nothing particular to say about), purple (I’m going to stop now), pink (worn by lelo), and red.

I love the high collar and the all-over covering in the tattoo layer. If you want bare hands and feet, you can wear the normal clothes layer.

While this is not the cheapest catsuit we’ve seen, workmanship has its value. A transferable version is available for gifts at the store - tis the season :)

The patterns must have taken her ages and they turned out to have a bit of an Escher effect.

KDC - Laminated Cuffs

The KDC laminated cuffs are a lovely and impressive looking bit of gear.

These heavy metal restraints will send the bondage bunny in your life in an extatic fit just looking at them - just have a gag handy to smother the squeals when they actually put them on ;)

I kept lelo simmering for some minutes (eh, in bondage.. she didn’t mind) while I scratched my head and tried to remember where I had seen a similar layered metal look.

I did eventually find it : Martin’s Rigid Cuffs is the store. As the esteemed Martin is a better maker than photographer, here’s a sample of his art seen from the side.. you know, that actually *shows* his design.

Kyrah has ankle cuffs as well, so if you like bondage bunny squeals, you know what to do ;)

Her new products are in mesh, so if you haven’t switched yet, take the plunge, the water is fine.

The cuffs come with Kyrah’s wonderful touchbound lock system, touch and lock, easy as can be.

The mesh makes for a great looking cuff that won’t break the bank prim wise, just 9 prims per cuff.

If the touch bound system confuses you, you might want to take a look at her excellent product guides.

So if you are looking to expand your restraints into the mesh realm and you want the, in my humble opinion, easiest locking system in SL, then get these.

Rosal - Rivet

Some gorgeous, high (high!) prim goodness from Rosal, this is the new Rivet series.

The incredibly detailed riveted rings surrounding the neck and waist corsets and matching boots look awesome, but the prim cost is high.

For example, the boots are a server-grinding 402 prims each, so Tsarina smartly includes a low-prim version in the box that uses a mere 140 per boot - that’s the version I’m wearing here.

There’s a very good resize script included in the Rivet line - in the corset, it’s under AddOns, Corset, Resize. Once you get there, you are treated to non-proportional resize goodness - very, very nice. Shrink width, stretch height... I love it!

One note : resize does both boots, unlike most scripts. I wore one, keeping the other leg bare for reference, as I usually do. When I went to fit the other boot... the first started shrinking right along. Argh! Well, this is why we take copies before fiddling, kiddies.

And speaking of notes, make sure to read the “Using Alpha Textures (combining corset and boot alphas)” if you intend to wear the boots with the corset.. I sure learned much about alphas there.

Ok, here’s the big news the queen of corsets is making boots as well and even better ballet boots. \o/

From top to bottom : neck corset first, though most option are in all the items, like the color change script that lets you change the colors of the prim parts on the corset, there are 11 colors to select from.

The corset comes in 3 versions, normal, tight (which Mistress is wearing here) and very tight (which i’m squeezed into). Here you get, just like with the neck corset, the Open Collar script, but she also included a box with non-OC corsets.

Like with the neck corset and the boots you get the 3 axis resizer, the best we’ve seen yet, just make sure you take your time adjusting it till its perfect.

You also get the possibility to remove the invisiprim, so your arms show when you have them on your back. *smiles*

Ok i managed to keep the best till last, the ballet boots, ok there are also a lovely pair of “normal” boots in the pack, but who cares. *winks*

The foot shape is perfect, ok sitting down is always a bit of a problem with thigh high boots, but some adjustments and resizing should minimize the problem.

An extra on the boots is that you can color the platforms, rim and soles, red soles anyone. *winks*

So looking for some space age corsets with matching boots...Duh... what are you waiting for...

Pony Column Will No Longer Be Weekly

It’s not easy to write something every week.

I have nothing but thanks to give to Jo and Kendra for their efforts, but the fact is that they are busy doing pony things. That’s why their input is valuable.

The sad fact is that we have a slot to fill every Friday.

So lelo and I have decided to publish the Pony Correspondent column on a when-available basis.

When we have a column in hand, it will go up on Friday. If we don’t.. well.

We’ll try to up the fetish fashion and toy reviews to five a week, but that’s a fair bit of work.

I’ll tell you right now, there will be Fridays with a lolcat pic or funny related video and not much more. We’ll do our best, as we’ve been doing these last few years.

KaS - Corset System Dress

Mark the calendar with a red cross, I installed Phoenix on my computer, and so far I love it. It’s like v1 with all the trimmings :)

It was necessary to see lelo in the lovely KaS Corsest System Dress, a seriously impressive mesh wardrobe.

We don’t hear very often from Salid, but when we do, she knocks our socks off. Remember her ballet boots last year?

Corset is a complete latex kit. Seriously : see the third pic for the variations. Between all the options and the color change, this is the one dress you need this year, and nothing else. Those are some of the best sleeve folds I have ever seen in SL.

Yeah, yeah. Not everyone can see mesh yet. But products like this will promote fast adoption, I think ;)

Boohoo... i want one of these magic dresses in RL, wear this (alpha) undergarment and wear this preformed dress and hé presto instant supermodel shape.

This is another mesh product and we do love them already, it’s great how a dress or a sleeve follows the body.

As the title says this is a system, giving you all kinds of options, from a long skirt to a lovely flared short skirt, a blouse to a bikini top even the SL mandatory free top.

The secret here is layering of alphas or and this shows how smart Salid really is the picking of the right combined alpha for us dinosaurs that hold on to old fashioned viewers.

You also get a hud to change the colors of your lovely dress, she matched all the POC colors, we went for the clasic KaS red and black.

You can turn off the textured colors and use a color field to select any color you like, you can even set the SL prim shininess and make the dress glow, perfect for these dark wintersnights.

Ok, so this one doesn’t have a locking option, but who cares everyone should have more than enough toys or relays to take care of that, i love this dress and i’m thinking of moving in. *winks*

Plausible Body - French Maid

I must live in Serendip. I called Roslyn to say hi as it had been a while since we did anything Plausible (my life is so implausible that you just wouldn’t believe it.)

Lo, a new French Maid outfit had just come out recently. Turns out she’s a maid outfit fanatic, as she says - fun!

Roslyn had an idea that it wouldn’t sell so well at Latexia so it wasn’t at her stall there. I told her that all rubberdolls have a secret French Maid heart - we’ll see if sales confirm my theory ;)

The outfit is really lovely, and quite detailed - lots of fun little prim parts to adjust, and I’ll admit I missed the coif but I’m feeling lazy and I’m not re-shooting.

The shoes will only work with a v2 viewer, unless you feel adventurous and add an invisiprim to them yourself - they *are* mod.

As with other Plausible Body items, the outfit is open::price, which means you pay what you can. And as with their other items, there’s some very good work here, so I’ll encourage you to be generous.

Well seems i somehow drew the short straw again and ended up nearly naked, still the real news is Mistress in a maid's dress. *winks*

As you can see, the outfit comes in a living room and bedroom version, still both are sexy as hell.

The clean clothlayer parts are enhanced with 8 frilly prims, giving the outfit just the right French look.

You get two dusters in the pack, one scripted with 4 cleaning animations the other is a lag-friendly scriptless version.

So if you need a maid for the living room and the bedroom this kit is for you, and be kind when you pay, she did put a lot of work into it.

Nova’s Femdom Fashion - Black Swan Latex and Burlesque Boots

We stopped by Nova’s again, and Black Swan seemed to have lelo’s name written all over it : a cute little ballet outfit with kinky black ballet boots included.

The boots are by Pietas Obscurum, the label for rup Eizenberg’s work - every mistress needs a boy who can make her boots ;)

They’re pretty easy to spot, occupying the right side of the store from the front door. rup has his blog, too : http://pietasobscurum.com/

The Black Swan corset top and skirt look really good, and the corset comes with a very clever prim bow, but it takes good eyes or a big screen to see it - lelo had to point it out to me.

The boots are a sim-screeching 186 prims each, and are for v2 only. Firestorm, here I come.. soon ;)

The Black Swan is a lovely ballet outfit, ok so latex isn’t the usual material for ballet gear but it does look good. barbie loves shiny

Next to the lovely prim skirt, you frequent readers should know i’m a sucker for dresses like that, you get quite a few lovely cloth-layer options.

Like tights, stockings with garters and pants, gloves, a corset and a fun bolero jacket.

Ok now to the boots, which are sold separately as well, but the outfit is only 100 ls more and that for me is a great deal.

The menu in the boots lets you re-size and position the boots as well as removing the barbed-wire.

Then there is a HUD which has leads to the Pietasobsurum website where you get the latest news and the users guide.

The HUD also contains the store LM but the really smart thing is you can load extra texture packs for you boots into the HUD, so no need to buy new shoes for each color you need.

Looking at his latest creations, i’m sure we’ll be back pretty quickly.

DeLust - Gasmask V 1.0

Lelo received a gas mask in the mail. While this is a perfectly fine procedure, we also encourage designers to say hello ;)

Nicki, the name behind the DeLust brand gas mask, is an old soul, and judging from her work and her groups, a 3D designer and early mesh adopter.

The mask looks good, but suffers a bit from black on black. The subtle textures that look great in Photoshop or from right up close in a wicked zoom-in sadly don’t do so well in daily use in the world.

The scripts are Nicki’s own, and she kept them nice and simple. As she says, she made the gas mask for her own use.

That seems to me the best reason in the world to make anything, and I think it has a good chance of producing something interesting :)

We received this mask a while back, but without a comfortable mesh viewer we kinda forgot about it.

But with the introduction of the new Phoenix Mesh enabled viewer we remembered the mask, so here it is, our first mesh gasmask.

You have a choice of 7 “filter” options, including funnels for the fans of the yellow stuff.

There is also a dildo and a no filter option, where the mouth is accessible, opening a whole load of more hardcore possibilities.

There is also a owner option and a lock function, which shows a lovely little lock on the side of the mask.

Lovely looking mask, especially considering it is her first product for sale, if this is what we can expect from all Mesh items, we are in for some good times.

Estate Obscure Stables

The island of Estate Obscure is not like your typical BDSM club in Second Life. Estate Obscure is a community which tries to foster growth and learning among the members.

The Estate is a lesbian community, however well-mannered males are tolerated. It takes in submissives who have suffered, and helps them in the healing process.

Estate Obscure offers many facilities for use, which are open to all, but are primarily for the use of members (see an Estate Dominant for more info).

A focal point of the sim is the clubhouse, a warm, safe haven for all to have discussion, bond, and occasionally play. One of those facilities is the stables, or "ponyland," which can be reached via teleporter from the sim’s landing point.

Ponyland includes all of the basic pony facilities, including a slalom, barrels, dressage field, steeplechase, and a large barn which has a grooming/tacking area and stalls for both members and visitors to use.

There are also very rugged carting trails on the ground level (the main stables are in a sky deck.) Monthly pony events are held at the sim and the next event is a Running Barrels competition on December 21 at 6pm SLT.

Purrfect 10 - Killer Heels

I had to search through my wardrobe for a moment to find something deadly enough to match Ten’s new Killer Heels.. I think XTC’s Viper dress does the trick.

And I already had switchblade boots .. the revolver heel rounds out the collection ;)

I fine tuned my skin color again with the basic color ball so here’s the new improved Deirdre skin color : RGB 202 125 73, Hue Sat Lum 24 55 54.

There’s a pretty fancy skin toner device included in the box, which uses an external program called Color Cop to very cleverly “eye-dropper” your own skin color to feed into the color ball.

Killer Heels are available in a wagonload of colors : White, Crimson, Cream, Chocolate, Tiger Pink, Tiger Natural, Tiger Turquoise, Camo Red, Camo Grey and Camo Gold.

Each color includes basic black, so you can make them all the primary colour, all patent black or a mix of both. The metal parts also can be changed to silver or gold. And each pair has a choice of 8 sole colours. If you can’t match your wardrobe, you just aren’t trying ;)

KCreations - Mesh Bodybinder

Kat called us the other day, out of the blue.. it had been some time. She’s a good friend, and I enjoy our chats tremendously.

But aside from fun catch-up (ok, gossip), she had something pretty amazing to lay on us : a mesh body binder :)

This is the first mesh item we review, and we went all out : lelo and I installed the Firestorm “official release” (note how it's not called “stable” release).

Not on my main pc, are you nuts? - I keep a clunker for the unsafe stuff.

I then discovered all the fun things viewer-jumpers (as lelo calls them) experience: wearing two sets of hair, two pairs of boots... unexplained crashes when clicking on the text box, heart-stopping screen blinks when snapping a simple pic..

If you figured out that I am not moving to Firestorm if someone mails me ten thousand dollars, well, Sherlock Holmes is hiring, I hear.

So. The body bag is pretty awesome, I have to admit... nearly worth the hassle ;) Note the excellent KCreations leather textures, in particular.

I was lucky enough to snap lelo in mid-wiggle (blink-aaagh!) for you - it’s the second picture. It’s really fun to watch, as is the bunny hop that replaces walking when you’re bound.

I don’t usually take pictures that show the world broken - no fun ruining the illusion we come here for - but the sight of lelo bodiless with the red snail hat was just priceless, so here it is.

Kat has been working with mesh and here is her first creation, a skintight bodybinder.

It’s amazing to see how this stuff sticks to your body, just a pity it only shows in the V3 viewers.

The binder comes with an easy script which, as you might expect, is RLV compatible and gives you the usual key, lock, leash and timer functions.

There is a latex and leather version, and you can also change the colors of the binder and the binding belts.

The biggest fun is the AO and the struggle options making you wiggle and hop around.

One great extra with this bodybinder for the V2 users is that you get a great floating head costume in case you go to a costume new years party, just don’t wear the bodybinder as it ends up as a snail on your head. *winks*

Hugo's Design - Xyx Belly, Xyx Bikini and Sansa

So Erik has apparently given up on sleep, and is producing cool new outfits at furious rate : in the last two weeks, we received Xyx Bikini and Xyx Belly, and a new outfit not in the Xyx line, called Sansa. (I have Belly and lelo Bikini in the first pic.)

Xyx Belly has a cool shoulder-yoke top, and lots of garters to hold up gloves and stockings.

There’s a tiny tiny bikini that is going straight into my swimsuit wardrobe - we get a few nice stares at Bora Bora ;)

Sansa has a lot more color than the Xyx line, where color is mostly highlights on black. The central body can be covered pretty effectively by colored parts.

There are both chaps and pants included in the outfit - the difference being the size of the rear cutout. Now call me crazy but I like my *pants* without cutouts.. I must be old ;)

By the way, don’t miss Hugo’s upcoming fashion show and party, Friday December 16th at 12PM SLT. (I’m Eastern time, so I won’t be able to attend, sadly.)

The last two instalments of the Xyx saga, at least that’s what Bianca promises and as proof we can show you Sansa.

The Xyx belly has a great cutouts to show of your well trained belly, the same cutout can be found on the back of the outfit, so quite some skin showing.

The Xyx bikini shows even more skin and when worn in yellow like i’m wearing here its like an add for body glove swimwear.

The Sansa is based around a black body which is cut with a very sharp knife, leaving little latex in place, but still covering all the naughty bits.

All outfits come with lovely textures stockings and gloves.

Drakke's Design - Dragon and Demon Boots

It seems hard to believe but it’s a year to the day since we posted about Drakke... I need a better system to keep track of designers.

As we were having a peek in the store, Mandrakke himself dropped by and said hello, and pointed us to his cool new releases, the knee-high Dragon (which I am wearing) and the ankle-length version, Demon, modeled by lelo.

That wild heel caught my eye.. and my leather pants.. and the drapes.. No, I kid. It’s really gorgeous work.

If you like all the color combinations, there’s a fatpack of each model. Note that if you’re using the trusty old viewer 1, you’ll want to take a bit of time to fit the Dragon just right. Invisiprims are included.

This is a fierce-looking boot, perfect for a goth-style domme. Stay tuned, we hear new fetish boots are coming up after Christmas :)

a second pair of boots this week, made by Mandrakke from Drakke’s designs this time.

I’m wearing the Demon ankle boot, which comes in red/chrome, black/black, black/chrome, black/gold and white/white.

Clicking on the boots gives you access to the re-size options, including a reset option and a kill script function, the fight against lag concerns all of us.

There is also a pointy little HUD button that gives access to another menu, which lets you control the glow and the little teeth on the front of the boots.

So when you are into Dungeon’s & Dragon’s these are the boots for you, just be aware that these boots have pointy spikes, so don’t wear them around any rubber dollies. *winks*

EveLock - Posture Collar

Our new friend Eve Terr, who you’ll remember from the cool celtic collars we featured in October, called us with a nice new posture collar this time

It has lovely clean lines, fit lelo right out of the box, and avoids the common black-on-black pitfall with an excellent wrinkled-leather texture.

The buckles have a fun locking mechanism and cool little padlocks with through-and-through keyholes.. I love that kind of attention to detail.

One small thing worth noting, the collar is transferable, so don’t hesitate to buy one as a gift for that special magic pony doll bondage bunny in your life.

I remarked to lelo that it wouldn’t look out of place on a ponygirl, and she agreed. Maybe there’s a market there, Eve :)

Our second run of a Evelock product, this time a nicely sculpted posture collar.

First thing you’ll notice is the nice leather (brown!!) texture on it, making it stand out from all the black in SL.

Except for having to pull the collar a bit up it was a close to perfect fit for me, i’m lucky that way i guess as there is no resize script in the collar.

As with the other collars from Eve, you get the scripts based on Dari’s, Eve added a fun little clip-on bell, just in-case you don’t want your pet to sneak up on you.

So once again a lovely crafted bit of kit from Eve, which will make you stand out from crowd, with still one of the best collar scripts in SL.

Latex Web Inc. - Gwen Hood

Mariko is well-versed in the classics. This Gwen Hood by Latex Web Inc. is venerable : the original by John Willie dates to the 1950’s.

This version is improved by a long black ponytail - you don’t get the original little ribbon bow!

We had the usual black on black difficulties, so I had lelo pose in skimpier clothes than usual. I couldn’t quite pry her out of her corset, but it doesn’t interfere too much.

If you have a slave that needs hushing up, this is for you. Not that lelo talks my ear off on her best day or anything... ;)

Tonight a simple unscripted basic item that should be in every doll's wardrobe.

You get 3 items in the box, the hood, the hair tail and a note card.

The hood is in the tattoo layer so you can keep your own face, i really do like that, i kinda got used to the second me.

I do love this style of hood, but then most who know me, know i’m not much of a talker. The little high line around the opening gives it some extra depth.

The hair tail is made to look like latex not hair, which is good for the real rubber fans, but i would love to have my own golden hair flow through that lovely opening on top. *hint, hint, nudge, nudge*

The note gives you the advise to copy the prims before playing around with them, very wise advise.

Bax Coen Design - Booties

Fashion dares to go in directions that fetish doesn’t. Roles and costumes are pretty rigid in the BDSM and fetish world : A mistress dresses one way, a slave another. There is certainly some variety, but only so much.

Bax surprised us a bit with this new release, definitely going the fashion way : wedges, hidden platforms and ankle boots are the flavor du jour.

These new booties (well, they came out last month, but there’s a bunch of new colors this week so it’s nearly news!) are fun, well-crafted, and not made to convey any sort of fetish feeling ;)

You’ll note the usual Bax combination of great prims with excellent textures, even down to the rubber soles. Stare closely enough and you’ll see some trompe-l’oeil croco 3D effects.

Bax is back with some classic booties with a modern twist.

The details in the prim work and texture are amazing, take a close up look at the laces if you don’t believe me.

For you viewer one junkies, these boots come both the alpha mask and build in invisi prims you can turn off or on by a touch on a button in the menu.

A menu that, again, shows her attention to detail, and keeping it simple. You have 4 size buttons, a button to remove the script for low lag, the fix feet option can be turned on/off now and the already mentioned invisiprims are controlled from here.

Finally there is the option to hide the lovely bows, not sure why you would want too but there it is.

I’m wearing the Margo here and i just had to put on my POC Peggy Sue, seems like a perfect match, but as you can see there are many styles available, get yours before every one is wearing them.

Carting

Last time we went over how to practice responding to whip commands in the safe environment of a corral. Once you are happy that you and your partner have a synergy going, you might want to think about taking to the roads.

Now, for roads, there are four places that I like. AK Stables has a very nice set of straight, flat roads with right angle turns. They also have a number of different carts out for public use, just please return them when you're done. This makes it very good for the beginner pony.

The second place is Frilly Filly Farm. It has a reasonably advanced race track, plus cart rezzers and access to linden roads for multi-sim cart rides. Certain areas can be a little tricky to navigate, but they make good practice at doing different corner types, plus there is a central timing gate.

Similarly, Happy Bottom farm can be an excellent place to start a cart ride along the long linden roads.

Finally, there is Sala, the stables for The Forum. Sala is one of the nicest places to go carting with plenty of different turns, hills, ramps and pretty views. There are also a number of cuddle corners to be your target destination and to keep you riding round the sim. There were a number of cart rezzers, but if you cannot find one, rez-rights are limited to members of The BDSM Forum group. They are a lovely group, so there is nothing to stop you dropping by and joining up.

One piece of advice with regards to carting, if you are crossing sim borders, be very careful. Do not try to turn once you make contact as it can spin you all over the place. It's best to stop short, then step reasonably slowly over the border, then wait for everyone to arrive. If you get bumped from the cart, hit "stand up" and sit on something near the cart. This usually works better than trying to TP and without you having to re-log.

If you're trying to go carting in a place without rezzers and are therefore looking for a good "Beginner" cart to purchase, I would recommend the Dog Cart.

The Dog Cart

For quite a while, one of my favourite carts has been the Dog Cart by Sugarcube productions. It's quite plain and very simple, but also incredibly reliable and robust. It's not too heavy, so it can go reasonably quickly, but not so light that it is uncontrollable. The turning circle isn't fantastic, but that has the benefit that the control is not too twitchy, so can avoid a novice pony "tripping" and falling off the road (and if you hit a parcel that has ban line.... let's say they hurt). This also makes it good for blindfolded carting.

The other big bonus is that it is copy/mod, so if you want to add an auto-rez script, that is a possibility. You can also mod it to suit your personality better or to match your pony's tack. There are also a number of similar yet different designs to choose from, including 4-passenger and 2 passenger, 2-puppy configurations (all be-it as separate purchases).

The crowning jewel of the Dog cart is the Duo Dog Cart. For the trainer lucky enough to have two ponies, this cart allows them to work together, one controlling the forwards and backwards, the other steering. I have enjoyed using the single cart with a number of friends of mine, but the duo cart can just add that extra bit to make a ride much more entertaining.

As with any cart there is a time and a place for it - it makes an excellent relaxing ride cart, but you wouldn't use it for racing. At 499$L per style, it is also not the cheapest cart on the market, but it is certainly an excellent and reliable cart that makes a good starting point when carting.

Carrie’s Lingerie - Wrath Corset

On this special day of Thanksgiving for our American friends, let us give thanks for the seven deadly sins, and in particular, Wrath.

(Witch! Burn her!) Ok, just kidding ;) This lovely outfit by Carrie’s Lingerie is one in a series.. sixth when we visited the store, with one more to come.

The Sins are a cooperation between stores; to get the full effect as shown in the vendor pic, you can get (separately) the skin, eyes, shape, jewelry and so on.

As for the outfit itself, it’s quite a lovely thing of leather and buckles, with flame highlights for that wrathful effect :)

Full-fashioned seamed stockings complete the outfit - lelo’s wearing them here with VvB’s excellent six-inch heeled Court pumps.

Carrie’s is a big, interesting store, and when we dropped in, helpful friendly staff assisted us. Do drop by, and don't forget to tell them who sent you!

One more corset this week and we didn’t even plan it that way.

The wrath corset comes with 2 options : with or without garters, and with or without the leather panel behind the front buckles.

You also get a pair of buckled stockings with the classic seam on the back and a pair of flamed and buckled gauntlets.

With gauntlets i don’t mean the steel medieval kind but the lovely hand-less gloves i’m wearing.

The supplied panties match the (jacket layer) corset perfectly so you can be descent when not wearing the corset over a catsuit.

Finally there is “coat” included in the pack which is more like a very, very short bolero, hardly reaching the tops of your breast and having long sleeves.

Sadly you can’t combine both the corset and the coat, but the coat does look great one a nice catsuit.

Hugo’s Design - Viktoria 2011 and Xyx Body 3

There are other fetish designers in SL than Hugo’s Design, I promise! We just see a *lot* of activity from Erik lately, and well, we go where the news are, n’est-ce pas?

The Viktoria 2011 outfit (in blue and pink here) was a request by Viktoria Brandenburg to Eric Hugo some time ago, and was only available in black.

Seems Eric got around to making the other colors, and they look good! You may have a bit of challenge before you matching footwear, but my Bax metallic blue ankle boots did the trick here - colored indigo, if you’re curious.

Vik is pleased as punch about the stockings, calling them “the best latex ones in SL in my opinion”, and I’d have to see some pretty amazing ones elsewhere to disagree.

The Xyx is a cool little bustier top, and the rivets here and there add a fun touch that completes the distinctive rings-and-straps Hugo look.

Isn’t this the ultimate flattery, when one designer names an outfit for another designer, we’re not naming anyone here of course.

As usual you get loads of options with these outfits, including the tattoo layered options, though be aware that with the Viktoria the panties aren’t included in the tattoo, good thing Mistress has a observing eye or i would have been half naked.

Both outfits come with stockings, gloves and pasties, yes they are back, seems Erik reads a certain blog, the Viktoria comes with sheer options for pasties and panties and the Xyx comes with long and short gloves.

You can expose your breasts in both outfits, but as usual we want to keep our pg rating, sorry.. *winks*

The Xyx has the first stockings with zippers in the back, totally useless, but i love the look.

Finally you get the lovely masquerade-style mask we showed you in the last Hugo post, just so you can hide your identity when showing too much skin.

XTC Leather - Prison Planet with Red Boots

A different texture for Xav’s leather this release, Prison Planet is more suitable for action adventure heroines than the runway.

The texture of the leather is very big-grained, which is best viewed at mid to long range.

If you look very closely at the straps on the corset (and a certain designer warned you in advance), you’ll note they look like straitjacket bits.

Another cool detail to add to your “Escaping from the prison planet” roleplay... hey, maybe Xav watched Sucker Punch!

The (sold separately) boots are script-free. That’s pretty cool, and as they’re full mod, you get to stretch and squeeze them to fit as you like using standard edit functions (hint : Edit, control-shift!)

The included note recommends to make a copy before you start. Having ruined a prim-based outfit (in the distant past!), I attest that this is excellent advice.

According to our famous fetish fashion shopper, Pet, the boots will soon be available in all the striking XTC colors.

Prison Planet comes with the options we show here.

You get two top options, well a leather bustier with a net body and a roll of sticky tape, and somehow i ended up with the tape. *winks*

Then you’ll find a pair of leather pants and a tiny string which completes the net body, once again i ended up with the string.

You’ll also get a great looking red leather corset, which covers most of the net body which pretty good on it’s own, you just don’t need to be scared to show a bit of skin.

Finale clothing part are the good looking leather gloves we’ve seen before with other XTC products.

The real news are the boots which are something new for Xaviar, but that’s Mistress department. *winks*

November Dressage Society Show

Hi there, pony fans! First, I want to say I’m sorry I didn’t post last week as I was wrapped up in last minute preparations for the Dressage Show we had on Saturday, November 12th. Second, let me tell you about dressage and about the show...

Dressage (a French term, most commonly translated to mean "training") is a competitive equestrian sport, and is "the highest expression of horse training.”

In pony play, we have adapted it and train human mares and stallions to perform it for our pleasure and sport. The pony and its trainer are judged together as a team on how they perform a routine of prescribed courses on the field.

There are two types of fields used, one I call a “standard” field, and another we call the flower field. In standard pony dressage, the field has a figure 8, a circle, 2 lines, a row of slalom poles, and letters around the perimeter of the field.

The trainer is given a card of instructions as the team steps up, ready to perform. There will be 5 instructions on the card, one each of the following, starting from a specified mark on the field: Forward line, Backward line, Slalom, Circle and Figure 8. The trainer directs the pony around the field with voice commands, simple snaps of a whip, or silently with no prompting to follow or execute.

In flower dressage, the field looks like a flower from overhead, and is a pattern of circles with letters designating each of them. A card of instructions are given, and the moves to be performed can range from simple ovals or figure 8’s, to the very complex, mind boggling and beautiful.

The judges look at accuracy, command, presentation, behaviour, responsiveness and rhythm. The scores they give are added up and averaged. Each team gets one chance to perform, and awards are given for the best scores.

Now... on with the show. It was a beautiful Saturday morning, the field freshly cut and chalked. Anticipation built as the judges and competitors arrived, spectators filled the stands. The ponies lined up with their trainers, some nervous, others confident, the excitement grew. Everything was in place.

I was the hostess of the show... introduced the judges and then directed the first team to take the field. As each team performed, it was apparent that even the most experienced could crack under the pressure, and some newer ponies rose to the occasion making their trainers very proud.

Not all ponies had their own trainers to lead them on the field, so some trainers presented several ponies so they could all participate.

As a special treat, Miss Neysa and KaTrina Velde performed a beautiful flower dressage demonstration halfway though the show.

I want to give special thanks to Miss Button Wright and the Frilly Filly Farm for hosting the show, and to the show judges: Miss Mikky Heron, Sir Diablo (Harold Tryce) and Beauty (Kara Kaptane).

Congratulations to all the ponies, their owners and trainers on a wonderful show. And thank you to the audience for their support. It was a great time and we look forward to may more shows to come.

Latex Web Inc. - Gas Mark One Mask And Exo-Gasss

When I opened the Latex Web box, this thing jumped onto my face... ;)

This uncomfortably spooky, organic, tentacle-y and spiky assemblage I’m wearing (all in black here - what, you couldn’t tell who is who?) is the Gas Mark One, by Latex Web.

If it was called Spiky Alien Queen Tentacle Demoness, well, nobody would be confused either.

Seems Mariko was bored with the more mundane gas masks, and set out to make some more interesting ones. (I think that if you go "ho-hum, another dominatrix in heavy rubber and gas mask", your life is entirely *too* interesting.)

I like the shuttered visor.. adds a post-apocalyptic je-ne-sais-quoi to the ensemble. The human spine and tiny pelvic bone crown are for horror fans, no doubt.

The mask is copy and mod, so if you want to customize it to your own tastes, make yourself a safe copy and start the surgery!

We told you last night you would need a gasmask, well here are two of the most elaborate masks we have ever seen.

The Exo i’m wearing is made up of 130 prims and Mistress’s Mark one contains 194, looks like someone had fun building these.

You get the option, in a simple menu, to turn the breathing on and off, please be kind and only use the on option in a private setting.

I love the way they gave the different parts of the mask, different shininess settings, so they change looks in different light.

The look is very much inspired by the creations of HR Giger and i’m sure a matter of taste, one thing is for sure you’ll be the center of attention wearing one of these.

Spurge Latex Clothing - Misima Uniform and Bio Hazard Catsuit

Some really good looking latex from a designer we haven’t featured in a while is just what the doctor ordered : the store is Spurge, and I’m wearing the blue Misima latex uniform, while lelo is modeling the fetching Bio Hazard catsuit.

We have Latexia to thank for the reminder : we visited the store and found some great new outfits, and voila! here they are :)

The blue in the Misima is rich and eye-catching, and the reflections look authentic as heck. (Sure, heck is authentic. You can be darned to heck!)

Misima is also available in red, green, pink, yellow and opium (a duller pink).

I poked a bit of fun at lelo for looking like Scorpion, but anyone wearing a yellow and black outfit with a black mouth cover runs that risk, so it’s not her fault.

She retaliated with a cool Britney video where you see a great example of the cool little aviator hat I’m wearing, so here’s the link if you want to watch it.

Prices are very good, and if I wished for anything more, it might be a matching skirt - it’s a little drafty in here ;)

The Bio Hazard comes with 3 options, the open zipper like shown here, the zipper closed and an option without the zipper all together.

All versions come in underwear and shirt/pant layer, leaving room for corsets and or jackets.

The catsuit is completed with short socks and gloves and a simple, meaning good, looking face mask, which comes with some stern warnings on the side.

The bio hazard sign is a nice finishing touch, you can also get a nuclear or chemical hazard sign instead of the bio sign.

Next to the catsuit there is also a dress version with the same colors and design.

The thing that really caught my eye in this outfit is the “dirty” latex look of the yellow, i really love how it makes the yellow more interesting and not so in your face.

So for all you wandering the post atomic wastelands here in SL, this is the outfit for you, just remember, for prolonged exposure outside better get a good gasmask.

VvB Stiletto Heels - Heaven and Viktoria Platform Knee Boots

Two brand-new models from the Energizer Bunny of boot designers, Viktoria Brandenburg : the eponymous (nice word, eh?) Viktoria, shown in black, and the transparent-platform Heaven, shown in red.

The Viktoria is a classic fetish platform boot, and pretty much Vik’s favorite boot design; I’m not in the least surprised she picked that one to carry her name.

We did the clear heels jokes so I won’t hit you with them again. But I’m sure the Heaven boots are destined to become stripper favorites in SL clubs everywhere.

It’s hard to keep up with Viktoria, not sure what she drinks but it makes coffee look like a mild sedative.

First we have her Viktoria boots, most notable on these boots is the brand new leather texture she made for them.

The texture is pretty good and works both faraway and close up, as usual the supplied hud makes it easy to fit the boots and change the lace and trim colors, i went for the classic red and white.

The Heaven boots come with her usual latex texture and offer the option to chance the next to the color of the lace and trim the color of the entire boot.

You get 16 preset of the usual VvB colors for the boots, so by one get 15 free, how’s that for great value?

The platform and heel are transparent and work with all those colors, did we ever mention that she is quite smart as well, we really should find out what she drinks. *winks*

So easy choice here; leather goddess, i only got black catsuits, where is my whip?: get the Viktoria’s. Stripper, best in color contestant, barbie dolly: get the Heaven boots.

Hugo’s Design - XYX Catsuits and Masks

Xyx is growing into a full line at Hugo’s, and we’re struggling to show you all the new parts coming out.

Bianka posted about the new Harness and Body 2, so let me just direct you to her post for those two, while we tell you about the four catsuits and the matching mask set.

In our first picture, I’m wearing Cat 4, the fairly revealing version with small strategic portholes (three in front, one in rear) and lelo is wearing Cat 2 in green - full frontal nudity but closed in rear.

In the second, I have Cat 1 with yellow highlights (full coverage) and lelo has Cat 3 with blue, with larger breast holes than Cat 4, and the same bottom portholes.

You’ll note the fun new colors (blue, yellow and green) along with the Hugo traditional ones.

Lelo’s right that all these openings are hard to track. We’re giving you a glimpse here, but do visit the store to get exactly the version that suits you.

Long gloves and long stockings included (with the color highlight). Note that if you wear one of the masks (which are tattoo layer) you’ll need to wear the clothes layer outfit. Or, you know, just go masked and naked... you choose ;)

Ok first things first, better get seated, this is a shocker... there are no pasties with these catsuits!!! *winks*

Hope you’re still with us for some more confusion with the versions, best tip i can give you is get them all and you can put the holes where you want them.

As you would expect from Hugo’s you get all the layers and a plain and seamed version of the catsuit.

So much for the catsuits, all those holes tend to confuse me quite a bit.. *smiles*

The other addition are the new mask and they are really fun and come in 4 versions.

All are tattoo layer so you keep your own face \o/, the ‘cat’ hood comes with prim ears and next to the 3 hoods you also get a masquerade-style mask, we’re thinking superhero here...

You can get the mask in matching colors to the catsuits and we checked they do fit and match up with them, all part of the service here at SLFF.

Pony Places : Port Sarah Ponygirl RP Community

Port Sarah is a pretty extraordinary sim. The pony play there is integrated in roleplay - I want to say daily life - in a way that is rarely seen elsewhere.

We were lucky enough to run into Logan Catronis, one of the architects of the current incarnation of Sarah’s.

He’s the oldest soul I’ve met in SL, and despite the *Evil Incarnate* tag he wore, was the soul of courtesy to us as we visited.

Roleplay rules at Sarah’s are strict, with the intent of making sure everyone has a good time. This is a fighting sim, with some pretty rough action going on at any time, so be aware of this if you visit.

We wore the mandatory Observer tag and were quiet as church mice while we visited - you really, really want to read the card you get on arrival, I'm not kidding.

Prospective members must meet with an admin for an entry interview. When I remarked that this was labor-intensive, Logan mentioned that no less than 14 admins help run things, so someone is always on hand.

The sim is gorgeous, and the construction everywhere is beautiful and consistent, giving a real 1800’s period feel.

The cart tour of the sim was slow and leisurely - the girls are trained to it, I learned. I approve!

The amount of sheer intelligence that went into everything really impressed me. I spotted the wide roads immediately on arrival, and sure enough, pony carts are the vehicles : no flight, and even teleporting is frowned upon - and forbidden in a fight, of course.

There’s no way to sum up a two hour visit in a few paragraphs, so I’ll encourage you to visit and speak to an admin if a pony lifestyle in a fully immersive roleplay sim sounds good to you.

Zindra Prime : New Adult Hub

It’s good to have friends. Especially the kind that know the cool, new, exciting stuff going on in Second Life.

For a few weeks now, we’ve been hearing rumblings and rumors : a new adult hub is coming to SL.

Well Freedom Continent is it. A new five-sim extension now adjoins it, with Zindra Prime at its center (the one with the nifty pyramid) and Zindra North, South, East and West around it.

Hub, gateway, door : a place for people interested in adult content in SL to begin their journey, managed by established, responsible people. Sounds pretty smart to me.

Of course, we’ve been telling you Freedom Continent was a nifty place for a while, so we look pretty darn well-informed ourselves ;)

It’s my intellectual snobbishness, perhaps, but I believe there are people who are doers, and they definitely bear keeping an eye on, because they’re going places, and usually taking a lot of people along with them.

A fun ad we saw go by on Fetish Consolidated brought us to Mech-Toys for their latest release, the simply-named XToy.

This complete avatar should be of interest to all dolls, toys, gynoids, and assorted artificial people aficionados in SL - no small crowd, although we didn’t show a lot of doll products lately.

If you like buttons, joysticks, arrowpads, bleeps, bloops, cables, access panels, and other things that make technophiles’ hearts beat faster, this is definitely a toy you should investigate.

The price is high, but hey, if you love toys, that has never stopped you, right? ;)

Don’t worry it’s still me, but this is like the box says a full AV, elongated neck and all. *smiles*

Full AV means everything you see here, including one of Mecha’s famous jointed doll skins.

The heart of this outfit is the built-in DVD player, which uses the Open Collar scripts as a base, so i won’t go into those functions as i’m sure most of you wear or own wearers of this system.

There is an Dolly button that leads to the remote, wind and power check options.

The remote option lets you control your dollies movement, with wind you can bring life to your dolly and the power check.. well.. it checks the remaining power of your dolly.

Still it’s a fun change from the usual collars and goes great with the overall theme.

Ohh, beware : this dolly has a build in run time of 30 minutes before it winds down and comes to a screeching halt.

Looks like Mecha stripped her game controller for parts of this outfit, i just love the joystick headband and the RCA connectors trailing out of your back.

Like Mistress says, delightful toy that makes all the right noises...

Kayliwulf Kingdom - Trinity

“No lieutenant, your men are already dead.” With that flat cold pronouncement by Agent Smith, we meet Trinity in the first Matrix movie.

If *you* were going into some virtual world where you could look any way you like and perform amazing feats, wouldn’t you want to be dressed in teh shiny? ;)

This is Trinity by Kayliwulf Kingdom, a recent release (if not exactly hot off the press - sorry!).

It’s got a lot of nice clothing layer goodies, including a cami top for your more vigorous action scenes.

The ankle boots have a nice new heel, number 7. They’re v2 only, so I had to shuffle a few things around to be able to do the usual invisiprim trick.

That left off the cool included prim zippers that get worn on lower legs, but it allows me to stubbornly resist progress and stay in my comfy old v1.23.

What else? Shortie gloves, shortie socks, and shortie panties ;)

Ah, and the awesome Trinity sunglasses are included too, with a blast from the past : bling!

If like me, you didn’t remember, type “bling off” in main chat to turn that lovely feature off.

Seems like the number one latex designer of SL has switched from latex to PVC at least that's how this looks to me.

The outfit has that distinctive soft gloss you get from PVC, especially at the seams, of which Laz added quite a few to the jacket.

I’m glad to see that our good old Laz is back doing that which he does best, well next to DJing and rebuilding sims, making sexy shiny clothes.

Help Us Keep The Pony Directory Updated

Last November, Jaydana, lelo and I started the Pony Directory, a reference site for pony play in Second Life.

We believe this is a useful service, and we’re happy to put the time into maintaining it.

Jaydana was our expert and researcher, as lelo and I don’t live the pony lifestyle 24/7.

But Real Life Intruded, as it will, and Jaydana no longer has the time to keep us posted on changes in the SL community.

So I would like to ask all ponies, trainers, sim owners, and other enthusiasts to give us a little hand in keeping the directory up to date.

A new place opens? An old place closes? A shop carries some cool item we should know?

A fun discounted outfit from POC and an enthusiastic new store manager (hello Pandora!) led to this neat group pic :)

Featured along with us are GabbyCross Resident (far left) and Naterifari Piranha (between lelo and me) wearing respectively the red trimmed Bi-Colour and the black, while lelo is in her usual blood and I’m wearing violet.

Long and short sleeved tops are included - I like the short glove look, it’s a fun change. The laced panels show a bit of skin, but not too much.

Tapi - Pacifier and Plug

Some fun toys from Tapi tonight which used to be banned in Texas ;) They’re not new so I won’t say “introducing” ;)

Ok, ok, be serious, Deirdre. The Pacifier and the Butt Plug, from Tapi, modeled here by my sweetie. I think she mumbled something, but I cleverly put the Pacifier in first.

The funny tags set these toys apart from similar ones. If you can’t have a chuckle about kinky sex, what can you laugh about, eh?

There are RLV and non-RLV versions of the toys - non-RLV being cheaper. If you only want the look and not the functions, that’s the way to go.

All Tapi toys are available in black, red, blue, purple or pink, along with a fatpack of all the colors.

Ok, it’s time for a new toy designer, somehow this toy caught my eye while having a silent wait at Bondage Ranch.

Or better the fun little tag on it caught my eye and the tag is what makes this one stand out from the rest.

You get a choice of over 50 tags, which we won’t put here because that would certainly force us to become an adult rated blog.

Both offer a lock, owner, timer and public/private setting all supporting RLV and the Pacifier also can mumble chat and block IM, as you might expect from a pacifier.

Hugo's Design - Xyx Body and Xyx Corset

Two new (and closely related) outfits from Hugo tonight, the Xyx Body (in yellow, worn by me) and the Xyx Corset (in green, worn by lelo).

It seems the recent survey made quite an impact at Hugo’s Design : green and yellow are new colors for him - remember, you saw it here first!

This is on top of his regular line, plus the recent addition of blue, so these two outfits are available in a stunning nine different colors.

Not enough innovation for you? How about a cool domino mask in matching highlights? V2 tattoo layer so you keep your face, a non negligible bonus :)

The outfits have the lovely straps that are part of the distinctive Hugo style, along with a good variety of options.

Well i’m not sure what kind of drugs Erik is using, but i hope he has boxes full of it, he’s pushing out new designs like they are going out of fashion.

Though when i unpacked the nice little HD bag i got a scare, just 3 items in it.. turned out the lag monster had me in his grip, 10 minutes later i had the full 28 items.

Next to all the items, layers and tattoo outfits there was a nice new little item in the box, a tattoo layer mask.

You might know that Mistress is very fond of masks and this one is really her style, so if anything gets her using a V2 viewer this will.

Purrfect 10 - Halloween Black Widow Heels

The delicate little critters climbing on the lovely sandals by Purrfect 10 give them their name, Black Widow Heels.

They’re a total steal at 99L$ if spiders don’t give you the heebie-jeebies (black widow, brown recluse, funnel-web.. don’t get me started.)

Amusing anecdote: I had the skin color set perfectly, then used a fun Sirena hair trick, “/2 color black” to see if my usual blonde locks could be made to match the Mistress of the Dark look.

Well guess what? The shoes heard the command and turned black. Aaaagh! ;)

So, Deirdre free tip of the week: once you’ve matched the shoes to your own skin color, make note of the color, kiddies. (That’s the six numbers in the Texture color picker: RGB plus Hue, Saturation and Luminosity. Mine are 220 141 101, 20 63 63... that may give you a starting point.)

The Frilly Filly Gran Prix

When you visit most any pony play stable in SL, you'll see various courses used by the trainers to teach and test the ponies various skills. Trainers may stage contests on the courses between ponies to show off, earn praise and rewards, or just for fun.

Stables also sponsor organized events to bring together ponies from all over the grid for some friendly competition, win awards and socialize.

One of the common events in pony play is the cart race, which might be run on a track, a marked course on farm trails, or even one that runs through many regions in SL. Cart racers use a racing sulky, a light, 2-wheeled cart built for speed. What follows is a "sports report" of a typical event.

Under a beautiful, cloudless sky one night this past week, ponies (some with their trainers or owners), and a number of spectators gathered with anticipation for a cart race event, the Frilly Filly Farm (FFF) Gran Prix.

Event notices on the Pony Info Group, SL Ponygirl Club, and the farms's own group had gone out for days, as well as being posted on the event calendar at http://slponyplay.com/ . There were ponies of a wide range of experience and skill levels lined up to race.

The course was laid out on about 1.5KM of trails that run the perimeter of the farm. In the minutes leading up to the beginning of the race, at least one ponygirl (Aella) frantically practiced, trying to learn the course, adjust to the region weather (lag), and make up for being more trainer than pony lately.

One of the trainers running the race did her part to try to reduce lag (see photo), and also succeeded in happily distracting this pony reporter.

The trainers started carts about every minute or so. Most ponies took their laps without riders, while others carried a rider sometimes (this pony reporter ran her best time with her trainer along for the ride.)

Sometimes an accident would happen, such as tumbling off the course. Fortunately no ponies, riders or spectators were injured (there is a clinic at this farm, just in case.)

Some of the more experienced ponies jumped out to early leads on the scoreboard, but as the race wore on, some very talented newer ponies gave them a run for their money.

The top times differed in fractions of a second at times, and the drama was building at the end, as the times got very close to each other and were very fast. As usual, a fun time was had by all, and treats and ribbons were awarded.

HybridZ - Submissionz Bitchsuit - Spotted Fur

HybridZ always surprises us with something out of the ordinary.. the Bitchsuit is no different.

You might be familiar with the art of a fellow who signs “The Veterinarian”... if he didn’t invent the bent-knees and bent-elbows bitch suit, he surely pioneered its use ;)

HybridZ did a great job.. if you can wear that suit and not feel dehumanized, I’ll be pretty surprised.

The dalmatian pattern is not the only one available, but we picked it because the black latex looked a bit too black-on-black in the vendor pic. the bane of prim design in SL.

The suit changes the wearer’s shape and skin, but lelo’s baby blues are pretty distinctive.. and when they gaze at me from that puppy face.. I just want to rub her tummy ;)

Here’s something new from in my book the creators of some of the most extreme AV’s in SL.

You get a complete AV with this kit, you just have to supply the eyes. *winks*

If you want to play more sexual games there is a prim pussy included, i guess doggy style poses should work with this one.

The supplied HUD gives you quick and easy access to the poses in the AO, everything from lay to wash is available.

The suit’s menu gives control over the RLV features, i’m glad to see they kept it simple so your not clicking for hours to set up your pup.

Restrained Freedom - Reverse Stilettos

Stilletos. Spike heels. However you like to call them, high heels are fetish and fashion fundamentals.

We saw these at Katie’s shop when we dropped by at the beginning of the month, but as the head cage was new, we thought we’d show it to you first.

They’re called Reverse Stilettos, and they’re a fiendishly clever invention : the spike points towards the slave’s heel, forcing her up on her toes to avoid the painful tip.

This is just the kind of kinky, naughty device you’d see in the fifties drawings by Gene Bilbrew and the rest of the Irving Klaw stable of artists producing black and white S&M comics.

The Reverse Stilettos are easily colorable - gotta match the wardrobe, don’tcha know - and v1 and v2 compatible.

Not enough? How about some ground spikes with chains to hold your sweetie in place.. can't have her run away and hurt herself on those nasty spikes ;)

Time for a toy again and once again one by our favorite bondage bunny Katie.

The good looking shoes are rather fashionable and don’t stand out as bondage gear on a first glance and here in, at least to me, lays the thing that makes these so good.

From a fashion point of view you can use the supplied HUD to change the color of the shoes, skin, socks, metal and nails, so they should match your favorite outfit.

Clicking on the shoes themselves gives you access to the more interesting features of the shoes.

Next to the usual owner, lock and time lock features you can also spike the heels here, which starts all the “fun”.

While wearing the spiked shoes you’ll notice that when you get tired you’ll sink onto the spikes and the pain will force you to your knees, Katie ensures us that with enough training you’ll be able to walk for longer on them though.

These shoes are a must have for every bondage lover with a masochist streak.

Naughty N Nice - Rubber Warrior

Naughty and Nice’s ventured into fetishwear, and Nikita was kind enough to beep us and let us know.

This fun spiky outfit is called Rubber Warrior, and sells for the low low price of 50L$ until October 31st.

It’s made of a lot of fun prim parts and a very good shiny catsuit. A semi transparent version is included, but honestly, I prefer the opaque stuff.

There are spikeless cuffs, and you don’t have to wear the cloak and assorted spiky bits, but really, what’s the fun in that? Just be careful hugging friends and you’ll be fine ;)

The boots are controlled by a very nice HUD panel, and come with a v2 alpha layer, which means I had to slap on my POC invisiprims.

I love my boots tight, and that means a realistic shape fitting my legs - I had to make these a little big to fit me.

Still a good outfit for the price.. hurry and get it before Hallowe’en :)

Hugo's Design - Space Cat and Wila

If you liked Yori and Wilo, we have good news for you ;)

Space Cat (which I’m wearing here) is the Yori catsuit part in a translucent latex texture. It’s not enough cover for non-adult sims, hence my little censorship heart.

The gloves and stockings are also translucent, which means that if you wear them with the outfit, you get a darker color effect : 10% color over 10% color = 20%.

It’s not unattractive, but it’s something to be aware of, and do on purpose.

Whip Training

Looking around whichever stable you are in, you'll no doubt see a fair few items that may or may not make sense to you. The pony walker makes sense in that it can be used to teach the basics of pony role playing, thinking of the breathing etc..., but it is something that will no doubt be unique to each trainer.

One of the simple yet more fun activities is Whip Training in a corral, but it does require a partner. It may sound a silly an ultimately boring thing to do, but do try it and try to give it some time. Settle down where you won't be disturbed in RL and just go with it for 20-30 minutes.

This activity is also useful for training items like the MD Pony boots (or the ballet boots if you need to exercise a ballet-shod doll, but you might use a different command system for that one) where walking is limited. It is certainly more beneficial than doing laps of a sim.

Basic Commands

This is very simple. Commands are given by a series of whip cracks. A free whip is in the pony freebie kit and I actually recommend it. The animations are perhaps a little violent, but it uses a HUD, so it continues to work across sim boundaries (blue menus don't and you have to re-click the whip). The commands are -

1 crack - Go
2 cracks - Stop
3 cracks - Left
4 cracks - Right

There's also an option for 5 cracks of the whip. This is different depending on context and on the person holding the reins. Some trainers prefer to pull the reins to get a pony to back up, but 5 cracks is often reverse. In a corral it usually means "come to me" (and is hopefully followed by an apple slice or two, so try not to disappoint the pony - check the freebie pack for a supply).

Don't be worried if you make mistakes - they happen and you are there in the safety of the corral to learn and adapt. There's also no shame in not being able to remember these combinations between sessions. Do note them down on a piece of paper if you need to refresh your memory when you next go out in a cart or to the corral, but be honest with yourself and try to learn them - it can decrease your enjoyment if you are distracted.

Essentially, the trainer should take the pony's reins, lengthen them to about 10m and stand them on an edge spot. The trainer then moves to the centre spot. At this point, it is best to test the left and right commands with the pony stood still - make sure they get them the right way round and can hear the sound of the whip.

This is very important as the sound can often be the best identifier (and also tends to need to be downloaded to the client, so there can be a significant delay the first time). It's therefore best to test stop before start and make sure they can hear it.

When the trainer cracks three times, the pony turns left and faces clockwise (looking from above). This is also as the pony sees it, not the trainer. When the trainer cracks four times, the pony turns round and faces anti-clockwise.

Importantly, if the trainer indicates right again, the pony continues going right/anti-clockwise. The trainer can stop, start, mix it up a little. Call right twice, leave the pony for four laps, then indicate right again and see if they are paying attention. It can get quite relaxing and, if the pony can, they should try to stop reading the "Trainer cracks the whip four times" commands that come through and focus on the sound.

Now by their movements, the pony indicates to the trainer that they know what is going on, and it should eventually become second nature. Once they don't make mistakes, the trainer might want to consider taking the pony out on the road in a slow cart and build up to more advanced activities. We will cover those more later.

More advanced corral activities

Obviously, you will get more practiced at this and walking in a circle relentlessly can get a little tedious, so try some variations. Add a line that is to symbolise a sim boundary and get your pony to slow-step over it, keeping them aware of their surroundings while attentive to the whip commands. Get two ponies to stand either side, possibly with blinkers, train them together and see if one catches the other. As long as you are enjoying it, there's no "wrong" variation.

Fragile is the outfit that brought us back to Jaimie’s shop after a long absence - she had a truckload of new designs to show us, so here we are a month later ;)

This is a good looking bondage doll outfit, with an intriguing texture. I can’t quite decide what material would give that look.. spandex, perhaps?

I like the multiple parts.. this is an outfit that offers variety.

Fragile is available in red, green, white, pink, black and polished black - and yes, there’s quite a difference between the two :)

The really smart part is that Fragile is a modular system, each layer covers another part of the body.

Vengeful Threads - Witching Hour

We’re starting Hallowe’en early with a cool dark evil queen of the night outfit - or, if you’re a goth, I suppose this is like a t-shirt and jeans ;)

This was a Fetish Consolidated find.. we look at the ads and bring you the stuff we love best - sort of reverse spam!

Witching Hour is a versatile outfit. In the front pose here, you see me wearing it without the shoulder pieces, and wearing them in the rear shot.

There’s a fair bit of black on black going there, but that’s the look. I like the lace front top, but there’s a bare chest version if you want to entice the vampire boys.

This is a complete outfit except for shoes. Good black heels aren’t too rare in SL so that shouldn’t be a big problem.

We were greeted by a really friendly sales person, a plus I’m really starting to appreciate in big stores. Lelo was right again ;)

CorinS Fashion - Zuri and Lita

A pair of lovely new outfits from Corin’s Fashion, I’m wearing the lovely fetish evening gown called Zuri, and lelo has the skimpy come-hither outfit called Lita.

Yeah, it wasn’t a long debate who was modeling which ;)

Zuri is made of semi-transparent veils that look really good - fetish formal, classy enough to wear for ballroom dancing.

The rear is cut low enough for a bit of rear cleavage.. that should help sway the judges.

Both dresses are available in black, pink, red and white.

Zuri is swahili for “beautiful”.. I don’t know if it means anything else in another language (“medium-sized rock” in Inuk?), but I’ll go along with that one.

Hugo's Design - Erinyes and Wilo

I’m wearing Erinyes, a cool - if briefer than my usual - corset and garter outfit.

Erinyes, or Furies, are Greek deities of vengeance against the sacrilegious and oath-breakers.

Better open the bag on a quick low load sim, 43 items in the bag, offering you every imaginable layer.

You get no less than 12 full tattoo layer outfits with clear descriptions, taking most of the guess work out of combining the different parts.

Though i’m sure you can make than 12 different outfits with the other parts, not that we have tried though, so have fun finding something new and exciting.

Where Erinyes is a rather sexy corset based outfit, quite well suited for a Domme, Wilo with its numerous metal rings, pay extra attention to the ones around the breasts, worn in it’s open version (sorry guys our ratings) is made for a submissive.

Pony Places: Highland Stable

Up high above the clouds (at 561m above sea level, to be precise), rests a happy little farm known as Highland Stable.

A new place on the pony play map, this stable caught my eye as it recently had a flurry of events. Your pony reporter was able to attend one of them and managed to do okay (considering she’d not pulled a cart in quite a while,) and had a great time.

Highland Stable features a courtyard-type stable building with stalls around the inside. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and kept, and there is a nice pasture for frolicking around and whip training. A path runs along the fringes of the pasture, which leads to the various event courses.

The stable owner, Sir Gaudin Himmel (who I'd only managed to catch a glimpse of during the cart event), is lucky to have in his employ the famed builder, Pony Cheryl (Umarov).

I would have liked to talked to him, but I had a bit locked in my mouth and was nervously waiting my turn at the event. Any pony that gets around knows that Cheryl builds some of the most beautiful, interesting and challenging (read evil) steeplechase courses in SL.

Aside from the steeple course, there are also more classic barrel and slalom courses, and a polo field.

I didn't get a chance to use it yet, but I spotted an interesting caged slalom course with counters and timers. Amazing, the way SL technology is applied to pony play sometimes. I'll have to come back soon with a pony that needs some remedial slalom training.

I was delighted to find Pony Cheryl in the midst of building a second steeple course, which I'm told will feature that trademark challenge (evil and scary) I love to see (hate, because I will spend hours or days trying to conquer it.)

The cart track is elevated above the stable land and affords nice scenic views. I give it a thumbs up. Come for the steeples, stay for the slalom cage.

Evelock - Collars

Eve is a friend of Nova’s; armed with a nice introduction, we dropped in on her and the cool mall she manages at Velvet Thorn.

Eve wanted something specific and couldn’t find it, so as smart people do, she set out to make collars that suited her.

The collars, then, are celtic inspired designs with delicate textures and lovely names like Tribal, Weaver and Celtic Swan.

Weaver is actually new, so not only did we find a new store, but just in time for a new design.

Eve has more “adult” designs at the store, so don’t hesitate to drop in for a peek, especially if you have a male slave to keep in line. There's also a little free gift in a neatly shaped box.. I'll let you find it. :)

Eve smartly uses one of the best free collar scripts in SL, Dari’s, so no surprises there.

Only thing she dropped from the script was the bell and changeable text to save prims and more important, keep the great look of the collar.

VvB Stiletto Heels - 11” Crystal Platform Heels

We saw one of the early adopters of the Crystal Platform Heels dancing at Rubber Room. She didn’t know the Chris Rock bit about clear heels, so I poked a bit of fun at her.

The Crystal heels are really quite clear - they were vanishing in normal lighting ;) The closeup picture is in midnight lighting for better contrast.

This is a new design - Vik is done upgrading her entire catalog. As with recent VvB designs, they’re for v2 only.

If you are planning to become a stripper in SL these are a must have, nothing says stripper more than a pair of clear platform shoes.

And these are a masterpiece, as you might expect from the queen of platforms, Viktoria.

I still love her option to wear stockings with the shoes, especially the latex stockings work great as i do tend to wear catsuit quite often.

With all the different textures you can select for the stockings and the different shines for the latex, you should be able to match what you’re wearing pretty closely.

Now all i need is a pair of goldfish to put in them.. *winks*

NN Boots - Infinity Boots

Our first pair of “fashion” boots in a while, these are the Infinity Boots by NN Boots.

The croco texture is awesome, even if it blurs to a good reflection in a relatively short distance. Available colors are black and white.

These are v2 only boots, but the invisiprim trick works fine with them. You know, I’m going to call Kai and suggest he puts these things in his store entrance - I use them a lot!

The pointy toe is unique, and gives the boot a distinctive look. The prims are incredibly detailed, down to the box the boots arrive in : it actually opens and shows a pair inside. It’s the first time I see that, and I love it!

Natasha took time to give us good information about the boots, the resize script (which is very smart and resizes width, not the standard proportional way).

She even offered to show us a way to see how low her script times were... I like that kind of dedication in a creator.

You can get these boots in 3 versions, the standard version, the version with spurs and an adult version with spurs and blood/cum.

Nova's Femdom Fashion - Trance Latex Dress

We found Nova at Damsel Mall.. it’s hard to miss, the big shop at the left end of the U.

A look inside made us want to go have a look at the store, and sure enough, the Trance dress that caught lelo’s eye is new, so here we are, showing it to you today.

Trance is a good looking little black - or grey or red dress - all three colors are included.

Reflections are excellent - the folds and shine remind me of wet t-shirts.

The prim part is good, but will take a bit of adjustment, and will look awkward in some poses - that’s nothing new or unusual for prim clothing, sadly.

We were lucky enough to meet Nova and her little family while visiting the store.

She tells us she’s been designing for nearly five years... looks like we’ll keep finding cool new stores for a long time, so stick around ;)

Regular readers will know by now that i really hate the look of the standard SL skirts and that i do love a good panel that covers it up.

Nova made one of the biggest, well i don’t think you can call this one a panel, it’s a full 1 prim skirt.

It’s full mod and maybe more important you can make copies so better work on a copy and keep the original safe.

A prim skirt comes with a whole new load of SL problem, which will be with us till mesh is fully grown and debugged.

I must say that the quality of the texture on the prim matches the cloth layer very closely and helps to make the illusion work in a lot more poses that usually.

With mesh still a twinkle in it’s creators eye, this is a lovely party dress, so get yours before everyone else does.

Getting Started

So there you are, all dressed up and now looking for somewhere to go frolic, so where should you go? And what should you do when you get there?

There are as many styles of pony play as there are couples and ideally you should take the time to find what is right for you. There are, however, a few rules that all ponies follow.

The Core Rules

1) The Tack. As discussed last time, all ponies wear variations on pony tack.
2) No speaking. Ponies wear a bit most of the time. With a bit in, they can't really form many syllables and have to use more base sounds, like whinnys.
3) The pony is not the dominant partner. This doesn't mean they must be submissive to all non-ponies - think of an unbroken horse and I don't think you could call them submissive - but they are always respectful.
4) Pony Play is consensual. Pony play is not a reason to abuse people. There are "safewords" (for example three stomps).

Beyond these rules, there are variations dependent on the stable and the Dominant involved.

Some stables expect all ponies to be submissive to any visiting Master or Mistress. Some Owners require specific tack. If you join a stable or take an owner, find out what their rules are and expect to play by them.

Finding a place to frolic

My recommendation is to visit many different places and watch some of the interactions that go on, then practice and see how you get on. As a new pony, most will give you some leeway to make mistakes.

Some of the stables will no longer be there as they do tend to come and go, move sim or simply change hands.

Good places to start are FFF (Frilly Filly Farm), AliKat/AK Stables and PPP (Pretty Prancing Ponies) as they are larger and have been in the same places for the longest times (and landmarks are in the pony package).

Just remember : no two sims are the same, no two trainers are the same, and no two ponies are the same.

Behaviour

Right, so now you look the part, have found somewhere to play and now you need to find your personality.

As long as you stick to the basic rules, this is where it is all about you. How do you want to act ? If the trainer doesn't like it, they will train you otherwise.

My preferred view on pony play is that of Pony Jane. Jane is very dedicated and produced her "Pony Philosophy". I very much recommend having a read, but the bit that appealed most to me is the section that reads -

"Being a pony is an intelectual void. If something feels good, it is good. If something feels bad, it is bad. If we like something, there doesn't need to be anything more to it. If we don't like something, the same is true. Everything is about the now. "

So there you are, trying to teach the pony to jump a fence, they get bored and run off to chase butterflies. So I look at pony play as something to enjoy. If someone asks you to do something, try to do it and hope they like how you do it. Be playful, try things, but be respectful (ie do not interrupt someone else's play time - I recommend watching quietly and you may be invited).

"Advanced" Play

Once you have mastered the basics and learned to be a free pony, you might want to undertake training in a number of activities that you can do either with pony-friends or as part of training. We will cover these activities in a future column.

Sintimacy - Freebies : Let It Rock and Motorcycle Booty

Lelo reminded me we hadn’t had a peek in Sintimacy for quite a while, so we nipped over and I immediately remembered the cool, wide open store.

The new outfits, right in the middle, look good and are quite inexpensive - especially the discount of the week.

As I’ve said before, Sintimacy isn’t the usual fetishwear we review, but the outfits look good, so I’m arbitrarily calling them spandex and giving them a pass ;)

I’m wearing Let It Rock, which has cool net-looking undershirt and panties, and a choice of black or red top and pants.

Subtle patterns under the colors will have people zooming in on you for all the wrong reasons.
