Graves - The Thief

Who is zis Deer-dray you speak of? I am just an innocent black pussycat, the safe was open when I got here, and anyway I threw away the key ;)

This lovely (and timely!) outfit by Graves is called The Thief, and if it reminds you of anyone trademarked, it’s pure coincidence and we were nowhere near the studio that day.

As with other Graves outfits, it’s chock-full of prim goodness: belt, sleeves and collar, mask, ears, cool thigh pockets and a neat necklace with fun bangles that have nothing whatsoever to do with any break-ins.

If you want to wear both the catsuit prim collar and the necklace, you’ll have to use “Add” for one of them - most viewers allow two attachments per point now, I think.

A slinky, stealthy outfit you’ll find a million uses for - just add good boots (maybe even Jackie’s own!) and you’re set.

We ran across this lovely outfit when we visited Jackies lovely store, the shiny new signs are a true gift for bloggers like us.

The Thief caught our eye, especially when we saw the included safe, secret plans and gold bars are included. *winks*

Jackie uses her trademark honeycomb texture on this one and for me that’s what makes her outfits so special, it brings life to a usually dead texture.

So all you need is a pair of good boots, a few witnesses, play the mission impossible tune and you can have yourself some great fun. *smiles*

Karu Karu - Lindsay

Between summer and capped IM’s and notecards not always getting delivered, the blog is a bit more of a challenge lately.

But old friends call us, which helps a lot :) Chane had this lovely catsuit to show us, called Lindsay.

It’s all clothes layer: shirt, pants and gloves, no fuss.

There’s a fatpack with all 9 colors, at a great discount, but there is also a clever “popular pack” of the four favorite colors (ruby, white, black and pink) for half the price of the fatpack - a great compromise.

The store is new and improved - very clean and easy to navigate (or cam if you’re lazy like me), with the Lindsay vendor visible right at the landing zone... right next to a little 99L$ discounted item. You know, like candy bars next to the cash register ;)

A nice complex catsuit from Karu Karu tonight, complex in look that is.

There are just 4 items in the folder, a shirt, two pants and the gloves, nicely in the middle layer so you can wear underwear under and jackets or corsets over it.

This is a great party outfit that comes in 9 different colors, so something for every mood.

And when you meet that special someone in a club, which shouldn’t hard in this one, and you decide to do a bit of poseball hopping the second version of the pants comes into play, that zipper isn’t just for show. *winks*

Be smart get the fatpack, there will always be a good time to wear one of those colors, even if it’s just to stand out in a crowd.

Haha Studios - Panthex and Double Face

Deirdre:

Haye gave us a shout and asked whether we wanted to give her shop a look. Long time readers and astute short-time ones will guess what happened ;)

She makes latex with distinctive reflections and tints, and a line of metal piercy-stabby bits that may be more suited to modern primitives than the simple fetish crowd.

Honestly, when I see what some people are into, I sometimes feel *very* simple.

I’m wearing the Panthex kit here : some fun leopard-pattern undies, and a translucent bare-midriff set over that.

The seal lines on the latex look authentic, and I like that they “reflect the light” differently in the right places. Good attention to detail on the textures.

The four parts take up all clothes layers except jacket, so keep it in mind when planning outfits. The translucent top and bottom will mix and match with lots of other undies, of course.

Haye has one guideline for her products, she has to love them, so it’s a fun hodgepodge of all kinds of items.

I’m wearing the double face here, and as you can see it really has two faces, or should i say sides.

You get 8 prim buckles, which all have a deletable resize script in them, they need a little bit of tinkering to make them fit just right.

Once in place the buckles look great and i’m sure you’ll get some fun double takes when you walk by. *winks*

Hugo's Design - Nico

It’s been some months, so we were pretty happy to hear from Bianka with Erik’s latest release, a strap-and-ring body and catsuit combo called Nico.

The top is generously cut and supported by a behind-the-neck strap - a nice authentic little touch.

There are no less than six tattoo layer versions included, aside from all the clothes layers. Tattoo is so quick, I just love it.

The color highlights are large, and really change the outfit from basic black. Even the gloves and stockings are marked.

A lovely, versatile outfit with great sci-fi RP potential.. also fine to stand out on the dance floor :)

Seems summer break is over at Hugo’s and he left the army behind him.

Nico gives you some fun options and as we have gotten used to from Hugo’s the folder is packed to the rim.

You get the chaps like Mistress is showing, the body i’m wearing and a catsuit is also included.

All come with a closed and open top, open top shown from behind and sorry no alt zoom function in Blogger. *winks*

There are also matching long gloves and stockings included, i just love the seams on the back of the stockings.

The new color coordinated clasps look great and i’m sure we’ll see more of them in the near future.

Powers of Creation - Foxy and Kamilla

There’s a cool summer wind blowing at PoC: some fun, young, wild outfits, kind of the opposite of heavy rubber ;)

I’m wearing Foxy (my totem is the leather vixen), and lelo is wearing Kamilla.

Foxy is really a full box: two latex tops (suspenders or midriff, which amounts to a high waist for pants or skirt), two colorable fishnet tops, 3 lengths of pants and one skirt.

All clothes are available in all the reasonable layers; for example, there’s no jacket for the fishnet tops.

The latex parts all have side lacing, in case that’s not obvious from our pics and the vendor.

I’m wearing PoC red (which nicely matches Bax’s Venitian red, I may have said before), but Foxy is available in all the lovely PoC colors... I nearly picked black, but some of you might start thinking my monitor is broken ;)

This little number caught my eye when we entered the store, allright it’s a Mondrian copy but i’m sure he wouldn’t mind, being Dutch i’m sure he would be open minded enough.

You get all the usual cloth layers and a choice of 2 length of skirts, one so short it doesn’t even need the prim insert.

The “longer” version comes with one of the most over engineered prim inserts i’ve ever seen, it shows Kai’s German all the way.

Still it does work amazingly well and you can tweak both prim parts to the micrometer, amazing stuff.

So want to show you that you are a cultured rubber doll get this one, there is also one that’s pretty pink, just so you know.

Come on girls lets shake up this black on black rubber world with some color. *smiles*

Alessandra - Zipsuit and Holesuit

We dropped by Alessandra’s to see if she had any new designs - and to see her beautiful California store ;)

There is a pair of fun designs for our American friends (or anyone who’s stars-and-stripes friendly), 99L$ Fourth-of-July specials, right in the door.

But what we loved more was the huge backstore of discounts. These are outfits that were originally 350L$ and more, all reduced to 99L$.

While they don’t have quite as many parts as Drift, they’re fun inexpensive clubwear in teh shiny, so I thought they were worth pointing out.

The Latex Zipsuit I’m wearing here shows some disco genes, but it may just be the thing you need for an event, or just to stand out from the crowd.

Anyway, drop by Alessandra’s, sit by the pool, catch some rays, and visit the back room for discounts.

Alessandra keeps the names of her outfits simple and descriptive, Mistress’ catsuit has a zip, hence Zipsuit.

The one i’m wearing has.. well a hole, open-backsuit would have been fitting as well, but i guess Holesuit is shorter.

Simplicity is the name of the game at Alessandra, you get two items in the box, well 3 counting the LM.

There is a pant and a shirt layer, so you can wear underwear and a jacket over it.

In short, fun looking and at this price very affordable clubwear, no reason now to not dress up for a party.

Danish Design - Baroness Catsuit and Criss Cross Dream

We stopped by Pip’s lovely store and saw some great, inexpensive outfits.

Pip swears they’re old and musty, but I think they look terrific, so here I am, sharing them with you.

I’m wearing the Baroness catsuits, sold separately in black or red, and lelo has the Criss Cross Dream.

Good shine, and very good tints make the Baroness stand out, in black or red. The prim turned up collar looks great, and has a resize script for that perfect fit.

So while I enjoy a hot-off-the-press outfit as much as anyone, good quality is timeless. In the next post, I demonstrate that hot is cold, black is white, and dogs lie with cats.

La donna è mobile, you know? ;)

The Criss Cross Dream dress isn’t the newest design by Danish Design, but a girl can never have enough little black dresses.

Being a good little black dress it’s only available in good old black and has a slight shine to it, making it more acceptable in vanilla company.

The criss cross lace, which give the dress its name are on the front and back of the dress and on the included gloves.

You get the clothes layer parts of the dress in all layers, even if this isn’t really necessary, still it’s nice to have the option.

The prim filling to linden skirt gap is simple but fits very well in my case, just had to lower it a little bit.

So lovely little black dress for a nice price that shouldn’t miss in any closet.

Chey's Spicy Outfits - LX Cat V33 Huge Set Black

Chey is still around. That’s good news for us; and for her customers too :) She makes awesome latex, and I’m always glad to see stores stick around for a long time.

We last featured her in August 2010 - a ridiculously long time for Second Life. Sims are bought and sold, couples are made, broken, reconciled and divorced in less time than this.

This lovely outfit with the catchy name “LX Cat V33 Huge Set Black” is a catsuit in open and closed top version, and a lovely kit of latex lingerie, all in one box.

I forget where I picked up the expression SPZ (for Strategically Placed Zipper) - it could have been about fursuits. It sure applies here, and along with the good shine and realistic seams, it makes a great-looking catsuit.

The open and closed versions of the catsuit top are in shirt and undershirt, giving some good mix-and-match options, and the catsuit bottom is in both layers.

The naming is easy to follow : LXCat for the catsuit parts, just LX for the lingerie, and a small u marks the underwear layer.

Two pairs of gloves and two pairs of stockings, for use with the catsuit (black) or the lingerie (transparent latex) complete the outfit.

Chey’s is one of these less-well-known stores, that really deserve more love - do give it a look.

This set gives you some nice options, huge might be a bit of marketing talk, but you do get a good looking catsuit and some amazing underwear.

Ok the underwear first, you can see the back of it in the first picture, the front is a bit too revealing.

The quality is amazing; nice see through smoky latex, sharp lines and lovely seamed stockings.

Isn’t it a pity you can’t alt-zoom around the pictures in Blogger as you can in SL. *winks*

The catsuit comes in two versions, the zipper opened revealing a sexy cleavage (as worn by Mistress) and zipper closed (worn by me).

Last but not least you’ll get a tattoo layer mask (yes keeping your own face), which i just love, simple black mask with a smoky face inlay, that has very realistic seams around the openings and down the middle.

Nekos From Mars - Operative Series

Deirdre:

While we’re not changing careers from bloggers to secret agents, our recent wardrobe seems to hint that we should :)

We got a friendly hello from Mars Matova asking if we were interested in reviewing his new Operative line of full outfits. A quick peek on Marketplace showed that they looked good so we agreed.

I just had no idea. This is really impressive gear!

I’m wearing most of the Cell Operative outfit in our first pic, minus only the commando-ninja mask; it did nothing good for my hair ;)

The box for C.O. held 30 parts not counting extras, of which I’m wearing 15 - lelo was a little puzzled when I said I was a overwhelmed; the other outfits are somewhat less intricate.

There’s a lot to love here. The mesh corset and excellent booties would be worth the price of admission by themselves.

Cydonian Operative, my outfit on the second pic, is much more revealing and features two-toned mesh boots, red in front and black in rear; wow them when you arrive, sneak away undetected, perhaps.

Keep an eye on Nekos from Mars - we certainly will :)

Nekos From Mars is a new shop in our list and it totally blew us over.

One of the great things with Mars's designs it that he writes a backstory for all his operatives and designs the outfit accordingly, a smart way of working i would say.

On Marketplace he tells the backstory of each design, giving you a feel of what’s involved with each operative.

Legion Operative is the outfit i wear in the first picture, according to Mars’s back story, this is the most basic and most common operative and with prices like that i can understand why.

You get the mesh corset in 8 sizes so there should be one for almost every one, the way the corset moves with your body is great.

You also get 3 different versions of the gloves, a modest version of the catsuit and the one i’m wearing here, both in underwear layer.

Finally there are a pair of great-looking booties, a prim collar and 6 alpha layers to let the corset work with different size boots and shoes.

In the second picture i’m wearing the Cyber Operative in red, there also is a blue version.

According to Mars this is a gynoid operative aka a fembot, that should bring in the dolls of SL.

This one comes with a amazing-looking circuited catsuit, the same texture is also used on the booties.

Most eye-catching is the helmet which totally works with gynoid theme.

The big prim collar and the arm blades bring the outfit further to life.

Cool quiet visit, saw much

I actually finished my first sim, and got half-way through my second one!

Most of the exhibits are really cool, a few are so puzzling as to be completely incomprehensible to me - I really wasn’t expecting that; but I’m reconciled with the idea not everyone thinks the same way I do, and it’s ok.

What I did see and love were two old friends : the Phoenix viewer exhibit, and New Citizens Inc.

Phoenix has several panels of good info, and a really stunning animated phoenix statue which catches your eye from a good distance :)

NCI.. those awesome, crazy guys built a little replica of NCI Kuula, the spot I send new residents for free classes and good information since we found them years ago.

I’m really enjoying this visit, and doing it with the idea of sharing my favorite finds with you definitely adds a little something. I never expected I’d enjoy blogging so much :)

Elixir - Hextile

Hextile is a new line of clothing from Elixir for all you people who get shot and stabbed a lot in SL: “armor plating framed in durable rubber, grommetted and reinforced with carbon mesh”, it says here.

Now we’ve had the prototypes for a good while, but when someone tells me something under the rose, I respect that 100%.

So when Obscuria Cyannis told us last week that the Hextile line was out, I said, “awesome!”, and marked our calendar to feature it tonight.

We had a peek at the store for prices and for the sake of completeness - we’re good that way - and I saw that the men’s vest I’m wearing here got *big* improvements.

I decided to wear it to show you the hextile pattern anyway, but don’t look for it at the store. Hey, prototypes are perks too ;)

So, Hextile: cool, sexy armor for your superhero / espionage / science-fiction roleplay. Complete it with the hardshell boots (not shown) for a more spacey look, and have fun in style :)

I’m wearing the 1 piece suit from the Hextile series here, and it might be armor plated but you must be a pretty good shot to hit this body. *winks*

You get all the cloth layers for a bit of mixing, though with this texture it will be hard to match to it.

Still the texture really makes the Hextile series, i do love the look especially all the different grey tones, just shows you that there really is no need for all the black on black we get in SL.

As we said Hextile is a serie, the body i’m wearing it the skimpiest one in it, but there are also pants and a full suit in a male and female version.

So as per usual Elixir offers something out of the ordinary, so looking for something not everyone is wearing? get your butt over to Elixir.

SL9B exhibitors are friendly!

I’m still trying to finish visiting an entire sim at the expo, but this morning progress was slowed by people who forcibly sat me down and talked my ear off... well, no, not really. ;)

People who know me know I’m pretty sociable and I do think SL is for conversation. So this morning I ran into Pamala Clift, the Roadside Philosopher and author of the “Virgin’s Handbook on Virtual Relationships”, an ebook carried on Amazon.

Pamala’s been in SL for a good while, and while I’m not sure that her thought that everyone will come to the metaverse is for anytime soon, she certainly has interesting ideas worth considering. A free chapter of her ebook is available at her booth in Celebrate.

I then had a pleasant chat with the folks at the Transgendered Lounge, Trinity Dejavu and Lilly Noodle. The Lounge is, to quote Trinity, “a low-key peer support group and hangout, we run a drop in place where people can just swing by, chat and hang out as well and regular meetings”.

They were awesomely friendly and interesting, and they’re readers of the blog already, so hi ladies! :)

The Time Tunnel is the attraction I want to mention in particular, because they had content uniquely related to us.

I’ll let the pictures speak.. we’ve come a long way, baby!

Bugshit Latex - TigerStripe Latex and TigerStripes

We hadn’t featured Bugshit in way too long - new tracking system at work, you see? - and we dropped in and were delighted to see new items.

They’re still at the low prices we remembered, too. I spent a lot of time in my old red Bugshit catsuit, way back when, so I definitely have a soft spot for this store.

The vendors are also old school. Expect up to a 15-minute delay for delivery (Did I tell you about our short production cycle? We were already thinking “plan B” when the catsuits arrived.)

But the cold sweat-inducing delay was worth it. Lelo and I now have fun, matching-but-not-same outfits to go dancing :)

Mine is TigerStripe Latex, the full catsuit with stripes cut out, and lelo’s is TigerStripes, the stripes with the catsuit cut out ;)

TigerStripe Latex comes in 15 colors, including some very neat metallic ones; the one I got tonight is Deep Red.

No tattoo layer for me, but underwear and outerwear versions make it unlikely there’s something you won’t be able to wear with Tiger if you want to mix and match.

To keep things straight Mistress is wearing the reverse and i’m in the standard tiger stripes, the old is a zebra white with black stripes or the reverse.

There are 12 items in my box, including the tattoo layer we so love.

There are 2 versions, one with stripes covering all the naughty bits, and the other, well that one doesn’t. *winks*

As you get all the layers you can wear the stripes on top a catsuit and give it an entire new look.

I’m walking around in skin tight latex all the time in SL, but this really makes me feel naked, i guess that will be a good thing for some of you.

LaVa - Holesuit

It’s from LaVa. It’s a suit. It has holes. ;)

No, no, that’s not the full review.. wait, come back!

So. This lovely and original catsuit by LaVa is called Holesuit, and it features a fun peek-a-boo design with good colors filling the holes.

I snapped lelo while she was blinking, producing a pretty funny derp picture (whiskey will do that too, she says). This is the sort of thing I could never have done on purpose... ah, well. Quick reshoot and curse at Murphy, and we’re up and posting.

The color textures are good, and the transparent tints (yellow in our pics) are fairly bright, not so pale that everyone will notice at first glance.

There are a ton of options which I will let my sweetie describe. Visit LaVa and support one of the few latex stores not using Marketplace.

Well here is a catsuit with a twist or better holes. *winks*

When you open the box you will find quite a few items and with them options.

All in all 28 clothing items, including the quick change tattoo layers, there are 5 of them in the box.

4 give you the different possible versions and there is a “kragen” or collar moving the catsuit higher up the neck than the cloth layers will allow.

The 4 options you get are all based on the black catsuit with the holes and give you different fill-ins for the holes.

There is the net we show with the black version (but this one it the same in all versions), the full (shown here in pink), the trans version (shown in yellow) and there also is a bare version (not shown here).

You get every version in all layers so you can mix the layers, giving you net over a colored catsuit, a great look.

Ohh and there are a pair of black gloves included in the kit... just thought i would mention them. *smiles*

So have fun playing with the layers and make your own version.

Dare Designs - Stingray

Stingray by Dare Designs is a reader tip by Shamanu Resident. Thank you very much, Shamanu, those are always welcome!

It’s also a pretty awesome latex outfit ;) It says nine pieces on the box but you have to look at our third pic to get an idea of how much variety that offers.

First thing I noticed was that panties were on pants layer (and vice versa), same with bra and shirt. Aha, I thought - superhero wear!

In fact Stingray does look good with things inside-out: they add nice detail to the catsuit.

Not that it’s a plain affair without the extras; the fun straps (reprised on the corset) and excellent folds and variation in shine make this one of the more interesting catsuits we’ve seen in a while.

(In case you noticed the height variations between pictures, we have spinning stands and a pose from the front and one from the rear move enough to change things up quite a bit.)

It turns out that Dare was himself a reader of our modest literary effort; no doubt he was going to call and say hi any day ;)

Ok we got another multipurpose outfit for you tonight and another new designer for our list.

You get 8 clothes layer parts which can be put together to make all kind of outfits.

These varying from a simple bikini to a full catsuit with a black corset, you can see the options in the last picture.

The boots are included in the set as well and seem to be in male size, but the resize script takes care of that in seconds.

You can get this lovely catsuit in 13 bright colors and better sit down for this, there is no black one!!!

So looking for a brightly colored outfit that gives you lots of great options and comes with some fun fetish boots... well you know the drill. *winks*

Sintimacy - Thai Passion Suit and Primal Attitude

Hey, wait a minute, Deirdre! Thai Passion isn’t latex! It isn’t leather!

I know, I know. It’s for the crushed velvet fetishists out there? Ok, we’ll call it clubwear and we won’t do it too often.

I really wanted to show you Primal Attitude, but it didn’t seem right to just point out the discount item without featuring the new release.

Primal (which I’m wearing in the second pic) is only 99L$. Do I need to tell you to pounce?

No, I didn’t think so. For this low low price, you get boots, top, straight and flared pants, and awesome bangles. (Copy for safety before resize, yada. You know the drill by now.)

As I like to say, the only thing better than leather is discount leather :)

Thai Passion has a sleeveless cheongsam look to it - although you don’t usually see that generous décolleté on the classic china dress.

The fatpack of six colors is 599L$, which makes it a steal like Primal.

Thai Passion Suit is a sexy jumpsuit with a great looking texture, especially the lacy belly-button panel looks amazing.

Istephanija keeps things simple, not 100 layers, not 100 options, just the outfit you see on the vendor in the logical layer, so shirt and pants for this one.

You get a choice of 6 colors: black, brown (worn by me), pink (again me), purple, red (worn by Mistress) and white.

Jaimie Earst Fashion - Linda

This is the last of the new releases by Jaimie from our last visit - which means we’re due for another visit soon ;)

This handsome latex catsuit is called Linda. I have the black and white fatpack, which includes a black catsuit with black corset, white catsuit with white corset, and a transparent latex catsuit.

The seams on the transparent version make it look pretty authentic, especially the front middle zipper, which is not shown here ;)

The corset is on the jacket layer, so can easily be worn over the catsuit - black or white, mix and match as you like.

A white corset on a black catsuit is something you don’t see every day, for example.

Very good latex shine, clothing on all two layers plus tattoo.. this is quite a generous kit to build outfits around.

If you want full enclosure, add gloves and stockings from another kit - maybe Kat Fetisov’s - and you’re there.

Ok back to basics tonight, but as they are basic catsuits made by Jaimie they truly are something special.

In the box you get 3 color options, the color that's on the box, pink in my case, a black and sexy transparent.

You get the catsuit in the 3 bottom layers and a color matched corset in the jacket layer.

This gives you quite a few options to mix and match, just buy the color you love and basic black and sexy transparent are yours as well.

Available colors for Linda are : white, pink, yello, purple,blue and red.

So better be quick and get yours before everyone in SL picks them up. *winks*

Graves - Devotion

Another bit of fetish and science-fiction goodness from Graves, this outfit is called Devotion.

Finding new items at Graves is a small challenge; there are red labels on a lot of the items, but they don’t all say “new”.

This one is a buckles-and-clips outfit; there’s even a strap with a clip on the forehead that just begs for a ball-gag harness.

Aside from the cool futuristic black leather parts, you get a transparent latex under-suit covered in a neat hexagon grid.

This outfit will be easy to mix-and-match with other Graves outfits; she’s one of the more modular-minded designers we know.

As usual, the price is very reasonable. Just add heels, and you’re there.

Woohoo my first Graves, i do love them but usually Mistress pounces on them, but seems Devotion made her think of me, go figure. *winks*

The box is filled to the brim with all kinds of goodies, including 2 tattoo layers, 15 cloth layers and 14 prim parts.

With the cloth layer parts you can add a few on top of each other to make the catsuit less transparent, i added a second layer for the back picture.

The catsuit features Graves honeycomb texture giving it more depth and making it look just perfect.

But for me the most amazing part are all the prim buckles you get, they look amazing and all come with their own resizing script.

There is a little note to remind you to make copies before you adjust the buckles and when you are done be so kind and delete the scripts, sim owners will love you for it. *smiles*
