MayCreations - Mesh Vest and Pants

We hadn’t hit Latexia in a while, and as usual, the trip was worth it: MayCreations had some great-looking new mesh leathers (and latex versions of same).

The sleeveless vest has excellent folds around the buttons, highlighted by the excellent texture.

The cool slim belt draws the eye to the waist, and can be set to a contrasting color with the included HUD.

The pants have big side laces, visible from a good distance. The pants have great highlights, and some of the gorgeous leg bottom folds are mesh, and some are texture trompe-l’oeil... lovely stuff.

Fitting was a snap, and as the pants alpha hides the feet, no need to fiddle with multiples. There is even a vest-and-pants alpha included with the vest, very smart.

Sit your butt on some good Motor Loon metal (Morton, Maymay’s partner, tells me Loon has new models!) and hit the road in style :)

Some nice mesh on the menu tonight, this time by Maymay Matova from MayCreations.

This is mostly biker wear so Mistress was sold in seconds, for me it took a few seconds more till i saw that she had latex versions next to the leather ones.

The vest comes in 5 sizes from XXS to L, i’m wearing the M and Mistress the XS, just to give you an idea.

You also get the HUD for the belt coloring and 2 alpha layers for the vest and the vest with the pants.

The pants also come in 5 sizes, though this time size 1 to 5, 1 being small and 5 being large, there are also 5 different alpha layers it match the pants.

So get yourself into these lovely clothes and get on your bike.... *winks*

XTC Leather - CorruptCop and JailBird

You have the right to remain... sexy ;) Yeah, it’s a cheesy line but I love it.

Some classic costumes from XTC, as I promised last time. I’m wearing CorruptCop and lelo is wearing Jailbird.

Cop comes with four pairs of boots: the black leather I’m wearing in the pic, and three alligator leather ones: plain, black and cream.

The boots have invisiprims and so are suitable for v1 users, and a no-foot alpha is included. Mod but not copy, so careful ;) The whole outfit is trans, suitable for gifts.

One clothing layer for the top and the hotpants, in the usual excellent XTC tradition of good leather highlights and folds. Cool shiny prim handcuffs at your belt and a very good police cap are included.

I might add some mirror aviator shades and a nightstick for a costume party, but this is a good basic costume right out of the box. Go personalize it and have fun!

Well a few days to Halloween and we kept this one just for the occasion.

This is a fun couples outfit even if the cuffs don’t work, people should get your are together.

Jailbird comes with everything you see in the picture, well lelo is not included in the pack, but the rest is.

This includes the lovely boots and fun cap, both are prim and are just the way we love them, simple.

You also get a skirt with the by now mandatory prim insert to hide Ye Olde Linden booboo.

So add a pair of working cuffs and you can steal the show at the upcoming Halloween parties.

And rumour has it, the corrupt cop can be bought with hugs and kisses.. *winks*

Preview - XTC Boots

Our friend Pet was nearly bubbling with excitement when she called us this week: she had a hot XTC tip to throw our way, and did we want to see it?

Yeah, it didn’t take too long to ponder that one ;)

So she showed up tonight and modeled for us the new, upcoming, not released yet.. XTC mesh boots!

The shape looks really good; Xav is such a leather lover that I expected no less. The folds look really good, and the colors are meant to match his existing outfits.

If the boots seem a little dark, they are probably meant to complement and not take focus away from the outfits.

No actual release date available yet, except “after Hallowe’en”.

XTC Leather - Mach 7 and DarkMatter

Lelo told me the other day “We haven’t featured leather in ages.” When I got back on my chair, I agreed and we dropped by XTC.

Xav’s been busy, and we have two of his recent outfits (in case I’m being too subtle, that means more are coming!) tonight: I’m wearing Mach 7, and lelo has DarkMatter for women - yes, there’s a men’s version, as with many XTC outfits.

Mach 7 is a double outfit: a tiny bra and tiny tiny bikini panties, and some nice black pants, gloves and a white jacket.

The gloves have designs matching the pants, which I hope aren’t mystical demonic symbols that will make my monitor bleed at midnight. ;)

The jacket is a cool belted bolero; it washes out a bit in our studio, but you can see it better in Xav’s vendor pic. He takes some of the best vendor pics we see, I should note.

I’m wearing DarkMatter here, which is a leather bra, some studded leather pants and a lovely see thru blouse.

All in the usual great leather textures we know and love from XTC, well not the blouse of course. *smiles*

You also get some matching studded gauntlets and a intricate necklace in the package, both working nicely with the outfit.

So just add a pair of nice shoes and go paint the town.. hmm.. black i guess.

Kcreations - Feline Gloves

More mesh goodness from our friend Kat: introducing the Feline Gloves from Kcreations.

Speaking of Kats and Feline Ladies, I just had to share this with you ;)

The Kcreations gloves are gorgeous and easily colorable with the included HUD, and even more so with the antique leather pack, sold separately. (I’m showing two of them here.)

I’ll add that the new pack controls both Feline gloves and boots if you’re wearing them.

Leather and patent versions of the gloves are available, and the textures are detailed and quite distinct.

The leather folds are beautifully done, and are visible from a good distance; these won’t be mistaken for clothes-layer gloves.

The hands are delicate, and I learned today that mesh can’t be rigged to an avatar’s fingers; not that I was doing much detailed finger movement prior to the gloves.

Visit Kat’s little store at the LSK mall, and get those beauties on your arms... then go snuggle with someone you love :)

The second instalment of Kat’s feline series, we showed you the boots a little while ago, now she has added matching gloves.

Like the boots the gloves are a mesh product, so you get 5 sizes which hopefully will fit you.

Next to the 10 gloves you will find a smart little HUD, the alpha layer and the alpha texture so you can add the texture to the boots alpha.

With the HUD you get 36 preset textures, 4 possible shine levels and a tint picker, so they should match anything.

So great addition to the Feline series, but they should work with most other outfits that need some sturdy gloves.

Domina's Duo - Elegance and Seduisance Boots

A long-time reader tip (thank you Rubberdoll Magic!) led us to Domina’s Duo, and the two excellent designs we’re showing you tonight : the knee-high Elegance, and thigh-high Seduisance mesh boots.

These are original designs by Gina Lurra, not bought and painted sculpts - there’s nothing wrong with those, but we do love to see new creations.

I’m wearing the Elegance Rainbow here; they’re colorable to match any outfit which is giving you trouble (Hugo green and yellow come to mind).

There’s a good assortment of starting colors, and you can fine-tune them by brightness, tint and saturation.

Or, if you want something to do the job quickly, the included notecard suggests using a color picker and links to a pretty good free one

With this, you point to a spot on your outfit you want to match, and enter the red, green and blue values in the Color Pick HUD button, and presto - you have matching boots. Tip : use a pose stand to avoid moving, it'll make picking the right color easier.

The boot shape is terrific, and will be suitable for fashion outfits as well as fetish. The pointed toe is a shape I love, in particular.

Keep an eye on Domina’s Duo, this is a shop that’s going places. Watch out, Bax! :)

Another pair of good looking boots tonight, this time by a, for us, new designer team, Tawny Mirror and Gina Lurra.

The Seduisance boots i’m wearing are mesh as you might have guessed and come in 6 sizes, so they should fit most AV’s in SL.

The leather texture is amazing, as is the look of the zipper in the inside leg.

As usual the mesh works brilliant and the shape looks very realistic with all the natural looking folds.

I just wonder what she would make when she sets her mind to ballet boots, just a suggestion. *winks*

Kcreation - Feline Boots

Kat keeps producing awesome work and awesome innovation.

These gorgeous Feline Boots by Kcreations look amazing enough on their own, but they are dead easy to customise with the (inexpensive!) extra texture packs, sold separately. Leather and Patent are two different boots, I should point out.

I got the Antique Leather texture pack - you steampunks will appreciate - and you see me wearing one of them in the second picture.

As far as I know, this is a first. You usually have to buy new copies of an item to get new colors.

Kat is planning to release more texture packs; when it’s easy to change, it’s possible to take chances. We might see zebra print and other fun looks - I’ll keep you posted!

We had a preview of these boot during our 1000th post party when Kat was wearing these, and finally she is satisfied enough to release them to the general public.

So here they are: the newest mesh boots by Kat, the folds are amazing and wait till you see the color/texture options.

You get 5 sizes in the package, so there should be one fitting most standard AV’s.

There also is a HUD that lets you control the colors of your boots, the heels and soles separately, i just love red soles on my boots. *smiles*

There are 32 preset colors covering most needs, but you also can use a tint picker to match that one special outfit.

So run run run to the little shop of kinks and get yours before the Lindens run out of pixels.

Nova's Femdom Fashion - Vicious

Let’s get ready to rrrrruuuuuummmmblllllleeeeeeee.... ;)

This awesome tough leather chick outfit is called Vicious, by Nova’s Femdom Fashion.

It’s a complete outfit except for footwear, and I’m wearing every bit except the notecard :)

The pants version is my favorite, but the prim skirt (dead easy to resize and fit) is great as well.

The top is a chain mail affair, covering a cavegirl kind of bra, but all that is covered by the jacket with prim rolled cuffs - well, if you wear it like I do. Layers rule!

I’ll see if I can gently nudge (Ms Subtlety, that’s me) Nova to extend the awesome lacing of the pants onto a catsuit top.. I see competition for XTC here ;)

We were looking for something new when we had a look at Nova’s store and Mistress immediately fell in love with Vicious.

First thing that caught my eye was the heavy metal chain around the waist, they use smaller chains to tow ships into harbour. *winks*

The belt has an easy to use resize script which amazingly fits Mistress waist, if you want a fun little story ask her about the belt incident, but prepare for a lecture. *smiles*

With all the parts in box you have the base for some great costumes here, just add heels and you are ready to dominate.

Immerschoen - Mesh Jeans and Leather Pants

My first mesh leather pants, woohoo! Gismo and Nici gave us a call, and they had a load of good pants to show us.

The shape is terrific, but the textures are a little dark. Guess tough bike chicks don’t wear pastels ;)

The gradation of sizes is pretty subtle; excessively thin or fat avatars will have trouble, but that’s the cost of mesh right now.

I’m wearing “Biker” in the first pic, and “Harley” in the second. As you see from the vendor pic, the prices are excellent.

Drop by Immerschoen’s large, clean store and have a look around, it’s well worth the visit.

Better put this picture in a frame, this must be the first time i have worn jeans in SL.

All joking aside, a nice new collection of jeans and leather mesh pants, yep you read that right these pants are mesh with all their figure-following attributes.

There are 5 sizes, XXS up to L and Nici advises to make a mesh optimized bodyshape where you adjust your bodyfat to the pants.

A good tip if you ask me but on the other hand, Lindies please give us the long awaited mesh update.

There are quite a few pants to choose from, i just added a pair of heels, ok that took a little bit of adjusting and an old, old freebie top.. one instant vanilla outfit.

Now quick give me my latex i feel all dirty now... *smiles*

DeVicious - Drive and Summer Nights

We dropped by DeVicious, and saw some big changes, the sim not being the least of which ;)

The store is now at the center of a sim, with good-quality stores surrounding it in a small, high quality mall.

It’s something of a maze, but high ceilings and huge vendors save it from being too claustrophobia-inducing.

I found the Drive mesh jacket and outfit combo very attractive. The jacket demo is a useful touch; despite the big floating boxes, you immediately see that this is a good-looking jacket.

Lelo immediately noticed the excellent leather texture on the back. The jacket does depend on alphas to avoid bits of skin sticking out, but some time real soon now mesh will be debugged, ironed out, parametric deformed and perfect.

In the meantime.. well, we have to deal with little workarounds. Still a lot better than no mesh, I believe.

Drive doesn’t stop at the jacket; good leather pants and fun big boots are included. Celtic designs on the sleeves and pants add a subtle exotic touch.

The included full-perm alpha texture for the boots will let you wear the top alpha plus the boots : edit appearance once you’re wearing the jacket, click Alpha, check lower alpha and choose the texture - et Robert est ton oncle! ;)

It’s mesh night tonight, a mesh jacket and a mesh dress.

There are also a pair of mesh boots with the dress, which are a fun extra but i’m sure you have better boots in your wardrobe.

Seems our honeymoon with mesh is over and we really want the Lindens to get on with the next step in mesh.

Still it’s a lovely summers dress and one in which you can sit. *winks*

You get 7 colors in the kit, black, brown, emerald, pink, purple, red and white and there are 5 sizes of each.

This was the second time i had to reign in the girls, like i said we are ready for the next step in mesh. *smiles*

Steph also includes an avatar physics set, for those of you who haven’t played around with this, it gives some fun extra movement to your body, but didn’t we move to SL to get rid of the moving body parts. *winks*

All in all a great collection of mesh dresses for the coming summer parties.

Lapointe Bastchild - S'wear Drift Biker Outfit

Lapointe & Bastchild is not our usual store type, but I came across this biker outfit on their blog, and it just cried mama to me.

S’wear is their casual line of clothing : biker, rocker, denim fetish ;) They subtitle it "urbanwear".

Drift is a prim-rich outfit: the jacket, sleeves, pants bottoms and belt are all prim, and all adjustable, both with script for the big job, and manually for just that right fit - excellent pictures are included if you don’t know how to do it.

The prims were big out of the box for me, but a surprisingly quick bit of adjusting on a pose stand took care of that.

The boots are awesome, which is why I just had to snap them alone; the pants cover them up for a cool and authentic look, but it’s kind of a shame to hide them.

You’ll need to first wear the boots and then choose “Add” to wear the pants legs. It says so right in the name, but it still took me a moment to get it; my first time doing this, and I love it!

There is a backup box included in case of resize accident, which contains the whole outfit again. I like that belt-and-suspenders attitude.

Well by now you must know Mistress is a sucker for a good bikers outfit, not sure if it’s the leather or something i missed. *winks*

Anyway as she saw this one, the boots we were searching for were quickly forgotten.

I’m sure it was the jacket that did it for her, for me personally it were the boots, i guess we all have our own focus.

If you are like me and have no real use for a, i have to admit, very good looking jacket, you can just buy the boots, or the jacket of course.

Elixir - Hextile

Hextile is a new line of clothing from Elixir for all you people who get shot and stabbed a lot in SL: “armor plating framed in durable rubber, grommetted and reinforced with carbon mesh”, it says here.

Now we’ve had the prototypes for a good while, but when someone tells me something under the rose, I respect that 100%.

So when Obscuria Cyannis told us last week that the Hextile line was out, I said, “awesome!”, and marked our calendar to feature it tonight.

We had a peek at the store for prices and for the sake of completeness - we’re good that way - and I saw that the men’s vest I’m wearing here got *big* improvements.

I decided to wear it to show you the hextile pattern anyway, but don’t look for it at the store. Hey, prototypes are perks too ;)

So, Hextile: cool, sexy armor for your superhero / espionage / science-fiction roleplay. Complete it with the hardshell boots (not shown) for a more spacey look, and have fun in style :)

I’m wearing the 1 piece suit from the Hextile series here, and it might be armor plated but you must be a pretty good shot to hit this body. *winks*

You get all the cloth layers for a bit of mixing, though with this texture it will be hard to match to it.

Still the texture really makes the Hextile series, i do love the look especially all the different grey tones, just shows you that there really is no need for all the black on black we get in SL.

As we said Hextile is a serie, the body i’m wearing it the skimpiest one in it, but there are also pants and a full suit in a male and female version.

So as per usual Elixir offers something out of the ordinary, so looking for something not everyone is wearing? get your butt over to Elixir.

SL9B exhibitors are friendly!

I’m still trying to finish visiting an entire sim at the expo, but this morning progress was slowed by people who forcibly sat me down and talked my ear off... well, no, not really. ;)

People who know me know I’m pretty sociable and I do think SL is for conversation. So this morning I ran into Pamala Clift, the Roadside Philosopher and author of the “Virgin’s Handbook on Virtual Relationships”, an ebook carried on Amazon.

Pamala’s been in SL for a good while, and while I’m not sure that her thought that everyone will come to the metaverse is for anytime soon, she certainly has interesting ideas worth considering. A free chapter of her ebook is available at her booth in Celebrate.

I then had a pleasant chat with the folks at the Transgendered Lounge, Trinity Dejavu and Lilly Noodle. The Lounge is, to quote Trinity, “a low-key peer support group and hangout, we run a drop in place where people can just swing by, chat and hang out as well and regular meetings”.

They were awesomely friendly and interesting, and they’re readers of the blog already, so hi ladies! :)

The Time Tunnel is the attraction I want to mention in particular, because they had content uniquely related to us.

I’ll let the pictures speak.. we’ve come a long way, baby!

Anima Temptation - Eleganza Blackshine and Discordia Ballo

Back to our regularly scheduled broadcast - but see the end of the post for my morning visit to SL9B!

I saw the cheapie version (violet!) of Eleganza advertised on Fetish Consolidated, and decided to go have a peek at the cool underground store at Pirandello Bay.

We were pleasantly surprised to see so many nice new designs, but as Adira said, it’s nearly a year since we last featured her. High time!

The shapes are gorgeous, and completely original. Bought sculpts don’t mean poor quality boots, but original gets higher marks from me.

Eleganza is the style of stiletto I love best, and could have been inspired by Fernando Berlin boots’  dagger heels and pointy toes.

The price is pretty awesome too : 240L$ instead of the regular 480L$. Pounce and tell Adira who sent you ;)

Yes, we managed to find some more ballets and you thought we had done them all.

Adira seems to have reworked her old ballet shape and i think it’s a good improvement.

The boots come in black, red and pink i’m wearing here, you can change the color of the sole of the boots with a simple chat command.

With the boots menu you can control the sound level, the size, the ao and finally the locking options that all good ballets should have.

A final fun, if dangerous, option controlled by the menu are the spurs, first time i see that on ballets, i’m sure there is a reason for that. *winks*

There is also a thigh high version of these boots and an ankle version that doesn’t have the spurs.

I visited the amazing Lake Stage this morning. Built by Kazuhiro Aridian, it’s the first mesh stage to be used at a SL birthday celebration.

It’s absolutely huge, and my first thought when I saw it was dinosaur bones :)

I was lucky enough to catch a live performance, arriving without any particular planning.

Caoilte Skytower, aka Connor Savage, entertained a modest but appreciative crowd (hey, it was early for many of us!) with Irish ballads and drinking songs.

He pronounced my name correctly so I’m now a lifelong fan ;)

Violet Studios - Prey Mesh Boots

The Prey boots are an intricate system, available in leather and latex, in four different shapes with three different addons, and a color HUD to manage the whole thing.

The leg and foot shapes are unique - you’ll need to have a good look and see if you like them.

Hemi addressed fetish, fashion and pony; no reason for anyone to go barefoot ;)

This is a valiant first effort in mesh; I’m sure that things will improve with time, as they did with prim shoes and other things. (Remember freebie bling sandals from 2006? They looked just fine to us back then, didn’t they?)

The front straps are awesome, I have to give props for that; it’s the first set of optional addons for boots I see. (Firefox says hi!)

There’s really a lot of material in the boxes, you’ll want to make folders to help see through the jungle of versions.

I’ll reveal one of my little tricks to deal with big kits : I make a folder called Wear This, and put in there the right sizes, shapes, or whatever composes the outfit I will actually wear.

Sure, I could throw out the XL sizes.. but I’ll admit I’m a bit of a pack rat ;)

Another designer has joined the ranks of the mesh designers and Hemi went big with 4 versions.

The boots are called Ovio (the chunky heeled), Raptor (the ballets), Dyno (the pony boots) and Velo (the stiletto heeled one).

Sold separately from these are the back laces, back zipper and front buckles, these will fit all the boots and as they are copy you only need to buy the one you like once.

The HUD gives you control over the highlight color, the texture color and the shine.

And this for the laces, the boots, the metal parts and the sole separately, beware Hemi has her own special colors, so better get her catsuits if you want a good match.

Ahh and as the boots are copy, be smart and make back up copies before you start playing around with them.

KDC - PonyPlay Bridle

A beautiful new bridle from KDC, called simply PonyPlay Bridle.

It’s brand new; the post date on Kyrah’s blog is yesterday :)

As lelo is usually covered in tack, I shot the first picture “naked”, that is, just with the bridle over her catsuit.

The colors are for demonstration purposes; I don’t recommend you actually set your bridle to pink and purple ;)

The second pic will give you a good idea of the bridle worn by pony in full gear - acquired from various sources, obviously.

It’s been awhile since Kyrah made something for pony play, but she is back with this great looking bridle.

I’ve been wearing her original bridle for years now and i still love it to bits.

The new one does look better and with the simplicity of the touchbound system makes it way easier to control.

The bridle comes with a color change HUD that lets you change the color of the other, inner and contrast colors of the leather as well as the color of the metal parts.

This first version comes with a first add-on, the blinkers and just like with the touchbound system it’s simplicity itself to ad them, just point and klick.
