DEM Renamer

Chloe Constantine is the scripting half at Dark Elf Manufacture. She called me with a cool enough toy, but it’s a little borderline, fetish-wise, so I told her I’d mention it in the Friday post.

The DEM Renamer, then, is a titler, but mostly a renamer. Titler is the more visible aspect, if not the most exciting.

Still, you can have multi-line titles, set colors, and the evil mode lets people around the victim, er, wearer, set the title.

The renamer is the more active part, and requires RLV. Here’s a quick quote from the instruction card:

"At its simplest, it traps your speech and then emits it, but with your assigned name. Give control of the renamer to someone else and they can rename you at will. But, there's more; the renamer can be set to substitute your use of personal references "I, me, my, myself, mine" into your assigned name. It's also possible to add custom word substitutions. The wearer can be blocked from saying words of your choice."

So a fun, restrictive toy for the bondage bunny in your life who needs to feel a little extra control.

Wrapped In Steel - Chastity Bra

I got a charming call from Reiisha Chau, asking me what the application process for the blog looked like.

We’re small enough that bureaucracy and artery-hardening hasn’t set in yet ;) So she sent us review copies, we had a look, found it good, and decided to share it with you, our esteemed readers.

Reiisha made the Chastity Bra for the best possible reason; she looked around and didn’t find a proper one.

This item is old school; not a sculpty or mesh bit in sight, just prims, cold-forged by ancient digital dwarves in the underground prim mines of Lonely Mountain.

It’s a handsome and detailed bit of gear, and nicely complements most chastity belts.

The bra is fully mod and copy, so if you want a good fit, arm yourself with patience, make a copy, and get forging :)

A new toy maker tonight, Reiisha with her brand new Wrapped in Steel, perfect name for the kind of gear she makes.

Well for now this is it, a lovely metal chastity bra, but Reiisha has plans for lots of shiny lockable toys.

As with the pure prim look, the menu is also simple, but as you know simple is good, it gives you the option to lock the bra, give away the keys and change the shine and color of it.

We won’t make this a new feature but for now WiS can only be found on Marketplace, so that’s where the URL points, show her some Linden love and she promises to get herself a nice little store.

So like Reiisha already noticed there a just a few of these kind of bras in SL and you know you need one. *winks*

Harsh - Straitjacket

Dari fans, your patience has been rewarded. After long months of long days, Dari released her awesome straitjacket.

I was lucky enough to get a personal demonstration and I’m just mind-blown. The most important thing to understand is we can’t even scratch the surface of all the features, poses, color options and so on.

The straitjacket is an incredibly detailed piece of mesh art. The straps covering it add authenticity to the look and make every pose instantly clear to the eye.

The poses are carefully thought out, introducing struggles as typing anim and not interfering un-necessarily with AO’s. Want more poses? You can easily add your own.

There’s an Anim-Bot included with the straitjacket, a floating bit of cool s-f goodness that you’d buy separately from anyone else but which Dari just included. It’s a post, a following toy, and it’ll put the poses you drop in it into the SJ for you. (It plays a little tune when rezzed that I won't spoil!)

At the store, pick up demos to find the size that suits you best and buy that one; there's a fat-pack of all the sizes, but I'd say it's mostly useful if you have different shapes.

Phoenix viewer, that dear old clunky thing, doesn't support layering alphas; so here's a PNG you can save then upload to SL, and use to hide your upper body and hands.

Dari has a good bit of support and fitting requests on her hands right now; only natural on a big release like this. I'll suggest giving her a bit of time to breathe if you don't have urgent questions.

So pick one up for yourself and see what five months of hard creative work looks like ;)

Woohoo, Darien finally managed to convince herself that her straitjacket is good enough to sell, and believe me that’s not an easy thing for a perfectionist like her.

So what do we get after 5 months of hard work by Darien, an amazing looking piece of gear that will be a standard piece of every bondage bunnies wardrobe in no time.

As we both still use Phoenix we couldn’t use her new flex HUD and had to resort to the old blue window of options aka the menu.

This gives you access to no less than 14 arm poses, all with their own animations and the option to show or hide the hands in the jacket.

She also added 8 of the most common used BDSM poses for ease of use.

As you might expect you get all the usual locking, owner and leashing options you would expect from a toy like this.

You also get a HUD to change the texture, colors, shine, glow.. well mostly everything on the jacket so it matches your favorite outfit or the uniform colors of the hospital you are staying at.

For now there are 4 textures, from canvas to latex, but Darien has more planned.

So run and get yours today, i kid you not, this is a must have for every bondage bunny out there. Ohh and do try the latex texture with a low shine, it’s yummy. *winks*

Real Restraints - Tape Gag and Blindfold

If you own a black van, Marine’s latest toy is just for you ;) Introducing the Tape Gag and Tape Blindfold, by Real Restraints.

This is a tip from our friend Pet, who is rarely as excited as she was when she called me to tell me about the tape gag - the very day of the release, I’ll add.

So I got curious, and I have to say that I now see what all the commotion was about. This is a pretty cool and original bit of bondage gear!

Of course, my first thought was, let’s see if duct tape will stick to lelo’s latex hood... turns out it sticks just fine.

A fun and inventive toy by the queen of RLV tonight, Marine has found her way into mesh and added her special kind of scripting to it.

In the box you will find two mesh items, the gag and the blindfold, there are also two notes and a LM.

Now for the fun part, the sounds, Marine found some very good sounds when you add or take off layers of tape.

With the growing layers of tape the (RLV) restrictions of the gag and blindfold grow and grow.

Starting at a blurry visioned, whispering sub up to a total deaf mute.

Next to the usual fun timer, owner and other RLV options, there is the option to change the texture on the gag.

There are 3 skin textures, 6 leather textures and the standard duct tape texture, yes it’s duct as in air duct, not duck.

You can manually adjust the coloring to match your skin or favorite outfit.

Now can anyone tell me how I can get this tape off my rubber mask? *winks*

Evelock - Circe Chair and Unity Collars

I called up Eve to get her advice on <obvious tease> a certain secret project I won’t go into right now </obvious tease> ;)

She’s an experienced builder and we feel the same about many things.

She mentioned she had new collars since the last time we featured her; as it’s been quite a while, I said I’d be delighted to see them.

She also built a pretty awesome chair, the Circe, which has a wagonload of good D/s and snuggle poses.

There are three pose menus : Snuggles has 7 poses, Just Miss has 9, and Miss & sub has 6. The chair has 5 textures for the arms, and 4 for the cushion. I recommended a leather shine one - I’ll keep you posted ;)

The menu is very different for owners and users; as Eve says on her blog, no more pesky fiddles from mischievous types. Oh, and the chair is only 3 prims; good news for the prim conscious - ie, everyone.

The Unity collars (labradorite and snowflake obsidian pictured) are lovely, delicate braids holding stone beads and a tiny shiny rune charm. Beautiful work!

The Unity collars is primarily meant for male subs but when you rotate it down it works great for girls.

Though this is more jewelry than a collar, it still offers everything you would want from a collar, just a more vanilla look.

And that’s the thing Eve was going for, everyday wear with a hidden layer.

The Unity collars are available in with the following gems: Fire Opal, Garnet, Jasper, Labradorite, Lapis Lazuli and Obsidian.

SSC - Gags

While I like the latest, greatest and shiniest as much as you do, some good designs are timeless.

We were shopping and saw a shoe gag, and lelo remembered she had one.. she rummaged a bit, and we realized she had a bunch, and they were quite good enough to share with you.

Shard is still around, and I was lucky enough to catch her online and chat a bit. She’s busy with life and things, so affiliate vendors are the last around, but there’s one at Little Shop of Kink - one is all you need, if you know where it is.

Good looking, simple designs, and quite inexpensive. What’s not to love? Ah, and don’t forget to drop by KCreations when you visit the Little Shop of Kink!

Ok these are oldies i had laying in the back of the closet for ever, but seeing some other shoe gags while shopping reminded me of them.

Quick search showed that they were still for sale and still amazingly cheap.

There are 7 versions of the gag: ring, ball, bit, wiffle, dildo and shoe in red and black.

The scripting is very basic, just lock, unlock and set owner, but then what more do they need. *winks*

So a great variety of gags for low, low prices, something that shouldn’t be missing from your inventory.

Restrained Freedom - Mesh Straitjacket

If you ran to Restrained Freedom after reading our post a few weeks back to go pick up the Body Cast, you must have thought we were hallucinating, as the item in the front door vendor was now the Mesh Straitjacket.

Well, if I had created a mesh straitjacket ahead of the esteemed competition, I imagine I’d want to release it ASAP too ;)

It’s a canvas and brown leather design that reminds me of the Humane Restraint products (they’ve probably been an unknowing kinky supplier for years!).

The collar on the jacket is a separate part; when lelo tried on the supplied body shape then returned to her own size, we found the colllar had vanished.

It didn’t take us long to figure out that it was inside her chest. She reached in like a magician producing a rabbit, and all was well ;)

They don’t show up very well on my picture, but if you look closely, you’ll see some excellent detailed straps and locks at the rear, in an alternating left-and-right design that would be annoying in RL but looks great here.

Woohoo, seems we are finding more and more toys in SL lately and i find myself in more and more restraint positions, not that i’m complaining. *smiles*

The jacket is mesh with all the usual pro’s and con’s, Katie supplies 3 sizes and a shape for ease of fitting.

The medium fit me perfectly, i only had to shorten my arms to fit them under the stomach strap, if you don’t want to change your shape you can hide the extra strap in the menu.

Speaking of the menu, it offers you all kinds of settings, from RLV, owners, times, poses, all the way to a elaborate coloring and texturing system.

We went for the boring canvas and leather mental institution look, you can’t beat a classic. *winks*

Cold Embrace - Mini Yoke

Our awesome tracking system strikes again, as it reminded me to visit Cold Embrace. We found the cool Mini Yoke adorable - that is, I did.

It’s quite a clever design; I’m a little surprised I’ve never seen that exact same in real life.

The design is heavy metal; thick collar, thick shackles, thick hinges, big padlock, and a good battleship grey texture under the shine.

The pose is quite good, but doesn’t seem to have the highest priority; lelo’s AO occasionally wins.

It may be easy to say this after years of use, but it sure would be nice if the pose priority was a parameter instead of a set thing.

Don’t let your slave fall in the water with this one ;)

Nikala call this yoke a mini yoke but to me the cuffs and collar look massive, not a bad thing by the way.

The yoke comes with a body measurement list for a perfect fit, you also can adjust the yoke itself as its fully moddable.

Two warnings before you begin though, the yoke is no copy so better be careful and take your time you have 55 separate prims to move. *smiles*

The menu is along the lines of Marine's Real Restraints so very easy to master and offering you a wide range of RLV controls.

Fun little toy for the diehard bondage fan for that out of the ordinary look.

KDC - PonyPlay Rubber Bit

Another zero-day release .. look at me, all leet and hackerish ;) Hot off the pony bit press, this is the KDC PonyPlay Rubber Bit.

If like myself, you’re lucky enough to have a magic rubber pony, I’m sure she’ll appreciate the rubber bit instead of harsh metal between her teeth as she jumps. Ouch!

The straps have nice leather textures with stitching and prim rivets, and the metal parts are incredibly detailed.

The bit goes admirably with the bridle we showed you in June, so if you want your pony to look great and be seriously restrained, give KDC a look.

Someone must have been good, two toys in a row, looks like i’ll be bound all weekend, Woohoo. *winks*

But let's take a look at Kyrah’s latest creation, as she promised a while back she’s back doing pony gear, which is good news for me, half of my pony outfit is KDC, the other half is MB btw.

Quality is excellent as you might expect from KDC, the bit and metal parts are mesh and seems Kyrah can do mesh she can.

Kyrah keeps using her TouchBound system to keep stuff simple, not going into that discussion again, only say i like it and who has time to work your way through 20 layers of menus to leash someone.

Fitting it is also kept easy, just stretch to fit, easy as that, the bit senses the before mentioned bridle and connect to it automatically.

The supplied HUD lets you adjust the color of the metal and leather to fit your personal preference.

Need i go on or are you already on your way to buy it... *smiles*

Restrained Freedom - Body Cast

We stopped by Restrained Freedom and the first thing we saw in the door was the Body Cast. It’s new, it’s right in the door. Take notes, other designers!

Two other things are right in the door: a cool box of freebies, and a height-weight scale that told me how tall I am (not saying) with heels.

I thought my big ponytail was added to the measurement, but it turns out it isn’t. The z-adjustment in Phoenix is, though, so I seemed taller than lelo. The scale emitted an opinion about my BMI as well, so I gagged it ;)

The body cast is fun, and the shape is good - this isn’t a dumb cylinder, it really does look like a very tightly wrapped body.

Katie was at the shop when we dropped in, and pointed out the basement dungeon, full of fun naughty “damsel in distress” type bondage furniture.

She hastened to add that this gear was not intended for snuff play, just peril. So don’t actually push that guillotine button - oops.

Ok, guess what i got as a 5 year celebration gift from my Mistress, a lovely new body cast, ain’t i a lucky doll. *smiles*

All fun aside this is the new offering from our favorite bondage bunny Katie Paine, it’s a pain to catch her not in some form of intricate bondage that leaves her speechless.

The body cast is a simple mesh prim, just like a real body cast, the texturing is very good, making it come to life.

Sizing is taken care of with a xyz resizer and took me all of 30 seconds, where i spent most of the time finding it in the menu.

The menu takes a little bit of getting used to as it offers heaps of options, from poses to RLV, key systems and leashes.

The coloring option is fun even if you don’t see much clothing that you would match to this.

The walk or should i say tippy toe shuffle doesn’t get you far and once you have fallen you can’t get up, so a leash option isn’t there just for the fun of it. *winks*

Think Kink PetWorks - PetPod

You know how we love “hot off the press” items. Well Ilana just called me and said “this went on sale five minutes ago”. That’s going to be hard to top ;)

Introducing PetPod, and the related-but-not-included PetitePod, for carrying your petite avatar-slaves around.

The carrier itself looks darn authentic; I live near a vet clinic, and I see quite a few in use. It’s big enough for lelo, even with her fluffy Hybridz rubber skunk tail.

The sounds are very good - Ilana pointed them out and I played them : open door, snap padlock, pet scratching at the door. Fun!

The scripting is Think Kink’s usual excellent quality. The pod is compatible with Xcite! and Sensations, has RLV, timers, sings, dances and makes coffee ;)

Ok, just about a month ago we told you about the reorganisation at Think Kink and here is the first new product.

As with all Think Kink products you get the easy to use PerfectPose system, so you just have to adjust your pose in the carrier once.

The poses are very good, especially the panic and sleep anim’s are fun and show an eye for detail.

There is quite a choice of colors for the PetPod: baby blue, baby pink, banana, beige, grape, grey, lime , melon and orange, the baby pink matches my outfit almost perfectly, but the beige looks the most realistic.

Only thing missing is the option to carry your pet around in the pod, though using edit to push it around does work.

Needful PIXEL - Cookie and Doughnut Gag

Some new torture devices from Needful Pixel : the Cookie Gag, and the Doughnut Gag.

I wish I had thought of that for real life : tie a doughnut in your slave’s mouth, and forbid them to take a bite... see how long that order is obeyed ;)

You’ll need to take a bit of care fitting the gags; there are no resize scripts included, so get yourself a good stiff pose stand, and take your time.

I like that you can hide the strap holding the gag and cookies.

“Take that doughnut out of your mouth, I don’t understand what you’re saying!” “Mmmgpphh!” ;)

Time for some new food..ehh gag’s.. ehh food-gag’s tonight.

Needful PIXEL release two additions to their food gag’s line, a doughnut and cookies.

The doughnut really works very well as a gag, the cookies..well lets say it works in SL.

The menu gives you access to all the features in the gag, like lock, lock timer, show/hide gag, show/hide strap, etc, etc..

The menu does take a bit of getting used to, for example to show the gag you first have to lock it then you can select the show/hide options.

The one thing really missing from this gag is a good resize script, though on the upside the gag is fully mod when it comes to the prims.

Small tip for getting the perfect fit, move the gag ring back behind the strap.

So fun gag, the doughnut gag is a must have for all the police people in SL. *winks*

AiTech - Universal Gag

Deirdre:

Asami gave us a call - new gag, would we be interested in having a look? Well, that’s an automatic yes, pretty much. It doesn’t guarantee a review, but very few people call us to send us junk.

Asami’s gag is a mesh item, dead easy to resize and position, with six options : ball, ring, or bit gag, all of which can have overhead straps or not.

The rings have a wonderful shine, but the straps are dead black; this means that they will pretty much disappear on someone wearing a black hood - not an issue on bare skin, but let’s say having a rubber doll makes me acutely aware of black on black ;)

The drool.. well. It’s authentic-looking, and maybe it’s your thing. But it’s an option. Options are good.

A lovely toy, not that expensive considering all it does.

It was time for a new toy and Asami called us just in time with her Universal Gag.

The menu control on this thing is extremely easy and you will be able to work with it in minutes, if you can live with the gag is another story.

You get the usual owner options: add, list and remove. One button to turn the drooling on and off another to set the amount of drool produced.

You also can turn the speech garble on or off and it’s severity, the garble is pretty intelligent and only garbles the “spoken” words in emotes that are between quotations.

Lock is another easy one, when locked you can set a timer.. or not. *winks*

RLV is also a simple on off option in the menu, you also can set a name for the wearer of the gag used by the garble system.

Finally you can select the 3 gags and if you want the harness, 4 simple buttons. That’s all there is, that’s all you need.

So easy to adjust, easy to use gag, just make sure to wear it over a contrasting rubber hood.

KDC - PonyPlay Bridle

A beautiful new bridle from KDC, called simply PonyPlay Bridle.

It’s brand new; the post date on Kyrah’s blog is yesterday :)

As lelo is usually covered in tack, I shot the first picture “naked”, that is, just with the bridle over her catsuit.

The colors are for demonstration purposes; I don’t recommend you actually set your bridle to pink and purple ;)

The second pic will give you a good idea of the bridle worn by pony in full gear - acquired from various sources, obviously.

You can read the detailed description of the coloring hud, in particular: the simple picture instantly makes things clear.

A handsome bit of tack, which will definitely get a place of honor in my own pony’s more frequently worn gear.

It’s been awhile since Kyrah made something for pony play, but she is back with this great looking bridle.

I’ve been wearing her original bridle for years now and i still love it to bits.

The new one does look better and with the simplicity of the touchbound system makes it way easier to control.

The bridle comes with a color change HUD that lets you change the color of the other, inner and contrast colors of the leather as well as the color of the metal parts.

This first version comes with a first add-on, the blinkers and just like with the touchbound system it’s simplicity itself to ad them, just point and klick.

According to Kyrah’s blog more add-ons are on the way.. can’t wait to see what she will add...

House of Alisha - Latex Nun Autobot

Deirdre:

Latex Nun is the latest autobot by House of Alisha. Not everything Alisha makes is fetish-related, but the fetish stuff is definitely interesting to us.

Autobots (not the Transformer kind) are “based human characters aimed to aid roleplay or entertainment sims, or for assistance in shops and so on”, according to the note by Lady Alisha.

A simple menu lets you control the basic functions of the bot : face me, come here, follow me, and so on.

The bots can also sense and greet nearby avatars; they can also be programmed to follow a path you walk while wearing a recorder (sold separately).


The Latex Nun is simply constructed, but it does what it is designed to; it’s a neat and potentially useful toy to put down in commercial spots. It’s also just one of the many bots and lovely items Alisha creates - do visit the store and see for yourself.

(Note that the nun itself is the “vendor”, and like other bots on the floor, are demo models you can play with before you buy.

Interesting little one tonight, you might remember the amazing ball gown we did a while back.

The maids of honor that were included there, have been available for some time as standalone bots.

But now Alisha made a new addition to her bots, they now have a RLV grabbing option, so when you get too close to one of these and you have an active RLV relay, you will get grabbed.

Best burglar alarm system i’ve ever seen, the victim stays locked until the owner releases them and the bot will keep working as before.

So it will greet people coming close to it, it will bow, follow... well you get the drift... and with the victim still trapped in it.

All you will see of the victim will be their head, when trapped a lovely alpha is supplied, hiding everything from the head down, also great for Halloween. All we need now is a head alpha and we can go as knight with cut off head. *winks*

DXW's Creations - Gimp Doll

When we first saw the gimp doll suit at Mesmerize Dungeon, I was impressed. This is good use of mesh :)

Of course, you can’t inspect mesh, so I said hello to Genara Stromfield who was wearing it and asked her where it was from - this was actually our first contact with DXW’s.

This outfit should get the heart of all the rubber bondage dollies racing.

It covers the wearer from head to toe, eyes and mouth included; “dollies don’t have opinions”, as their ad says :)

The default black suffers from the usual problem, fading into a bit of a dark mass; but the color highlights remedy this somewhat, and switching to other shiny colors makes the gimp doll much easier to see.

You can remove the blindfold and gag, but the large breasts are bolted on, so to speak. A male version of the suit is included in the box.

So, a fun, simple outfit, giving you as much opportunity for rp as you want, and a few good RLV locking functions; keep an eye on Amelie, she’s definitely going places.

Time for a not entirely new mesh AV, but it’s so good we didn’t want to keep it from you.

As we said before Amelie is an mesh artist and she added RLV to this outfit to make is irresistible to the dollies out there.

The look is simple but good, no unnecessary frills on the outfit, well the torpedo tits could be seen as frills but they are hardly unnecessary. *winks*

For the fashion conscious dollies out there she added a color change menu to the menu, giving you a choice of 11 colors and for all the different groups of the outfit (boots, soles, trim, main and metal).

There are a number of locking and gagging options with the gimp, interaction with the gimp is somewhat limited, but that’s what being a dolly is all about. *smiles*

So great looking mesh AV, i’m curious what she will come up with next, ohh be careful not to touch the “i am dolly” button, you have been warned.

Toy's Toys - Teddy Chair

While there is competition in Second Life commerce, sometimes it’s pretty civilized. I was talking to Chloe at Dark Elf last week, and she mentioned Toy Wylie.

That’s pretty much like BMW sending someone to Audi; but not only did she refer me, she gave me an introduction :)

Toy was busy, but she did invite us to have a look around and see if we liked anything. Her island is not your usual shop, I’ll say no more and give no spoilers.

Her specialty is RLV traps, and even with a pretty specific description like this, there’s a lot of variety in her toys, from cute to disquieting.

The bear chair caught my eye. It caught more than that; I sat on it, thinking “ha, I don’t run RLV, I’m invulnerable”, congratulating myself on the cool chair I got and bondage toy lelo got.

When the bear paws caught me and dragged me in, I was genuinely surprised :)

This is a simple, fairly good-looking bear chair, and a fun toy. I’ll let lelo describe it and invite you to visit Toy’s Toys... cautiously ;)

Time for a fun bit of furniture tonight, of course furniture with a nice little twist.

The lovely bear is a dangerous seat for your unsuspecting.. ehh guests.

The simple design of the chair is also mirrored in the simplicity of the scripting in it.

As with any good toy these days it’s fully RLV compatible, even if it works without the use of RLV, RLV offers a few easy controlled extras.

The victim's chat is damped while trapped, but click on the bears mouth and it closes and the victim is fully muted.

This also works with the ears and eyes, blind the bear and you blind the victim. Elegantly simple scripting, just the way we love it.

The victim can try to escape by clicking the zipper and playing around with it to try to open it.
