Real Restraints - Body Harness

Marine’s latest release is a classic, O-ring and leather Body Harness. Simple name, nice and clean product.

Part of the harness is fitted mesh: the vertical strap below the middle ring, to be precise.

The rest is non-rigged mesh, fairly easy to adjust. In fact, Marine gives detailed instructions on adjusting your harness one strap at a time. (That will produce a better fit than you see in our pics - our very short production time, sadly, will do that.)

There’s a ton of goodies in the harness, including a leash handle giver. There were a few small bugs in early releases - if you have them, read the details here and fiddle if you like, or simply visit one of Marine’s updaters.

Miss RLV, Marine Kelley, for those who have been living in a dark dungeon for the last years, has come out with a new harness.

Coming from Marine you are assured of the usual RLV abilities and follows the script layout we have come to know for years now.

The new features are that the harness is making use of the latest fitted mesh for part of the harness.

This part works great, adjusting the standard rigged parts to it takes a bit more work, Marine has chosen this way of working to give you the ability to adjust the upper part to lolas or tight corsets.

The second new feature is the fact that you can adjust tint and the pattern on the harness.

There are 35 preset colors, but you also get the option to enter the RGB code of your own favorite color.

With pattern you can add seams, studs or text to you harness, always with the option to interchange the background and text color.

So in all a very nice harness that should match any outfit you have, just plan some time to adjust it perfectly to your body.

Marine’s Goodies - Bubblizer

It’s not every day a designer tips us to another’s creations, but Kat Fetisov was the one who pointed us to the Bubblizer.

This is one of those toys that’s better suited to public locations and lots of players, so we went to see one on location at Stones `n Rubber.

It can be a fairly big arena, and they cleverly squeezed it in place at SnR.

If that one is busy when you arrive, there’s another at Bondage City. Or, you know, buy one for yourself ;)

There’s a soccer mode, a dodgeball mode, it involves large bubbles that change color, bondage will hinder you while you play, and you’ll need RLV for it to work.

Places - ImPAKt Fetish Mall

Our recent Malls page took us to cool places, to double-check slurls, decide what was too small to call a mall, and so on.

We stopped by Pak (Phssthpok says hi!) this weekend, and saw that a little bondage-fetish-rlv ecosystem had grown around Marine’s little shack on the prairie.

Good stores we know and have featured are represented, and one building has the name of the mall on signs in the window: ImPAKt Fetish Mall.

There’s even a building featuring the Adult Hub; I think it’s the first time I see a place renting space in a mall to advertise itself. Recursive!

The layout is typical SL land chaos - no neatly ordered rows of same-sized shops here, but it’s a nice concentration of kinky shops, with the dean of SL kink sitting unobtrusively in the middle.

Well worth an entry in our malls page, and well worth a visit :)

Real Restraints - Isolation Hood

We swung by Twisted Orchid last week, as faithful readers will recall.

We always keep our eyes open for cool fetish content, and as we walked past Marine’s little vendor at the Orchid mall, I spotted the cool Isolation Hood.

As anyone who’s ever seen lelo knows, I like hoods.

The Isolation Hood model is a classic - just cause I love you guys so much, I found you a nice vintage illustration by the Old Master himself, John Willie.

This handsome piece of restrictive virtual leather, then, is thick and sturdy-looking. It’s colorable, which I think we’re coming to expect more and more.

Buying a second sculpted or mesh item to have another color is definitely starting to feel dated. (Clearly this doesn’t apply to clothes-layer items.)

While this is not Marine’s latest effort, we did like it on sight and so there it is :)

And we thought we were running out of toys, but guess what, we are getting swamped in them, not that i’m complaining. *winks*

Next to the hood you also get the blindfold which works as a stand alone item but as you can see also complements the hood quite nicely.

Both menus of the hood and blindfold follow the usual Real Restraints way and should be easy to understand to the RR fans.

The hood does everything you might expect from a gag with the added possibility to deafen the wearer.

Add the blindfold and you can isolate your sub all the way, the nice thing is that you can set the intensity of the blinding (aka HUD) in 6 different intensities.

Another fun toy by Marine that should keep you happy for months, and with the colour and 3 hair options the cloning should be kept to a minimum.

Marine’s Goodies - Mousewheel

Sometimes we scoop Aria, sometimes she scoops us ;) Either way, it’s a good thing that she’s there; her reviews are way more in depth than ours.

In our defense, the daily post thing means that in the two hours I spend with lelo, we must:

- take good pictures
- try to catch all the interesting options on an item (I sometimes fail there)
- shop for more items (that’s usually our Sunday)
- write an entertaining and informative bit each (you keep coming back; a good sign!)
- and introduce as few errors as we can

Which doesn’t bring us directly to Marine’s Mousewheel, but I’ll non-sequitur right into it anyway :)

This is a bondage toy straight out of Gord’s imagination.We played with it somewhat briefly, but I have to say I like it a lot!

If I was going to pick nits, I might say that the large covering on one side mostly hides the slave unless she’s facing left, but that would be it.

You must see Marine’s own blog for the ton of videos (featuring Marine in a sexy hip-swaying walk!), detailed explanations, pictures.. and even news of updates to the wheel after a week in use.

You’ll note that while this is a Marine Kelley creation (easily recognized by the astonishing amount of painstaking work in every part), the brand is Marine’s Goodies, not Real Restraint. Here’s the word, straight from Marine’s blog :

Another toy this week, seems someone has been good this week, this time it’s a toy by Marine Kelley the queen of Restraints.

Not sure where Marine got her inspiration for this wheel, my bet is on a new four legged pet in RL, but i love the idea.

The basic concept is simple, but nothing about Marine’s gear is ever simple, she has a lovely twisted and kinky mind.

Take the included lights that take their power of the wheel and even change brightness with the speed of the wheel.

There are loads more options in this lovely little wheel, but i’ll let you read up on that on Marine’s blog , just take it from me this wheel will give you hours of fun.. ehh training. *winks*

Real Restraints - Siren Ropes

Pet is my Real Restraints informant ;) She called us on the tape gag, and now she alerted us to the Siren Ropes. Thanks, Pet!

First thing I will say about these awesome ropes is that Marine works *hard*.

Be sure to see the video demonstrations of some of the animations. I say some, because there are 314 animations in the ropes.

Most of the ropes are unrigged mesh, easy to resize, and the rigged ones are meant to follow your movements: wrists to ankles, for example.

This is definitely the must-have toy for hardcore bondage bunnies... and maniacs with black vans.

Yeah, yeah, I used the black van bit last time too.. rope, duct tape, I’m expecting a red bandana blindfold next time ;)

Real Restraints - Tape Gag and Blindfold

If you own a black van, Marine’s latest toy is just for you ;) Introducing the Tape Gag and Tape Blindfold, by Real Restraints.

This is a tip from our friend Pet, who is rarely as excited as she was when she called me to tell me about the tape gag - the very day of the release, I’ll add.

So I got curious, and I have to say that I now see what all the commotion was about. This is a pretty cool and original bit of bondage gear!

Of course, my first thought was, let’s see if duct tape will stick to lelo’s latex hood... turns out it sticks just fine.

A fun and inventive toy by the queen of RLV tonight, Marine has found her way into mesh and added her special kind of scripting to it.

In the box you will find two mesh items, the gag and the blindfold, there are also two notes and a LM.

Now for the fun part, the sounds, Marine found some very good sounds when you add or take off layers of tape.

With the growing layers of tape the (RLV) restrictions of the gag and blindfold grow and grow.

Starting at a blurry visioned, whispering sub up to a total deaf mute.

Next to the usual fun timer, owner and other RLV options, there is the option to change the texture on the gag.

There are 3 skin textures, 6 leather textures and the standard duct tape texture, yes it’s duct as in air duct, not duck.

You can manually adjust the coloring to match your skin or favorite outfit.

Now can anyone tell me how I can get this tape off my rubber mask? *winks*

Real Restraints - Sassy Ponygirl AO

I haven’t seen a butt wiggle like Marine’s Sassy Ponygirl AO since the majorettes in the Destination Calabria video.

Sassy is a cool, original animation override that should be a breath of fresh air for ponygirls everywhere. "What about the ponyboys?" Well... this one is pretty squarely aimed at the girls, sorry.

Marine decided that it was time to do better than the old standard. I think that’s how anything ever moves forward.

See her blog post for the details - to say nothing of the 14 videos! - I won’t sit here and transcribe ;)

I *will* say that this is series of great animations and poses and sounds intelligently put together.

Ok, this is a warning, i know it says made by Marine Kelley and we put it under the Real Restraints tag, but it’s actually sold under the Marine’s Goodies brand.

I know you were hoping this would be a new kind of restraint but then a good pony AO is a big part of RP, so well worth a look.

The AO hud looks like most and that makes controlling it quite easy, but that is where the common ground stops.

Marine managed to fit nine, yes you read that right, nine (9), very sexy looking pony walk and the included hoove sound is very realistic.

Just in case you aren’t a hoof wearing pony *frowns*, she has included the sound of normal heels.

There are 6 separate arm animations, from the normal infront of the chest to the bizarre fully tucked.

You also get the 3 most used pony gestures in the pack, stomp, stomp twice and curtsy, everything a well behaved pony needs.

So have a look on her website and judge for yourself, this is a must have for the modern sexy ponygirl in SL.

Real Restraints - Vixen Leather Cuffs

A tip from Pet, a call to Marine, and lelo is once again tightly restrained - the International Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to lelo will have a fit!

Introducing the awesome Vixen Leather Cuffs by Marine Kelley.

This is quite a complete and versatile kit, as you see from the pictures. The posture collar looks great, and has a convincing feel of solidity.

As with the armbinder we reviewed, I’m impressed with the authenticity of the designs. These toys were made after examining closely (and spending time in) good, solid leather restraints.

New and improved cuffs by the one and only Marine Kelley, Miss RLV herself.

In the box you’ll find 9 items, not including the 3 manuals, yes these cuffs come fully loaded.

There really are way too many options in them to list here and do them all justice. So here are the ones that caught my eye.

Most of the good “old” options of the metal cuffs which are in my opinion the, till now, best restrictive cuffs in SL can be found in these.

The collar gives you 4 options, from a basic leather collar to the high posture collar shown here.

The yoke is a great new feature, the adjustment is a piece of cake and the sound effects are great fun.

Finally i want to point out the vixen texture options, making it possible to match the cuffs to most outfits.

Real Restraints - Armbinder

One day I’ll stick Marine in a cage and interview her - in the meantime, we’ll present you with some more of her terrific work : this is the Arm Binder by Marine Kelley’s store, Real Restraints.

It’s a lovely thing to look at.. I suspect lelo is going to be spending a fair bit of time in this toy.

The rich red color, in particular, with the lovely light and shadow effect, is just the thing to put on a black rubberdoll.

Do visit Marine’s store and help support all the hard work she does for bondage bunnies everywhere.

I’ll let lelo give the detailed description - after all, it’s not a gag ;)

You just have to love someone like Marine, she single-handedly dreams up RLV, makes some of the best restraints in SL and stays so humble.

Just look at her little stall on Pak, which hasn’t changed in all the years i have known it, some very big stores grew around it but the stall stays as it is. I just love that.

Another thing i love is this armbinder - it should be mandatory for all the dolls in SL.

You get 3+3 looks, as Marine puts it, 3 closed or full versions and 3 open versions showing the straps over the shoulders.

The menu will look very familiar for anyone who has ever worn a pair of real restraints, and who hasn’t? *winks*

You won’t be surprised that there are the full RLV controls in the binders, as well as timers and the RR key system.

For our fashion victims there is the “binder tex” plugin, making it possible to adjust the colors of your binder to match your outfit.

I won’t go into all the options you can find in the armbinder, but there is one i really have got to mention, there is a silent button in the special menu, please, please use it when you play in a public sim.

Now go get one, get yourself locked in and struggle your way out, Marine says it might be possible.
