We’ve just been warned by Milu Laval of Atame, and she asked us to pass it on.
Virtualget.net looks like a standard shopping cart, but is in fact a phishing site.
They stole pictures and descriptions of items off xstreetsl, and are pretending to sell them.
This is a scam to get your credit card number.
Linden Labs have been notified, but tell your friends so they don’t get caught.

Squeaky Rubber - Circuit Catsuit
Deirdre:
Squeaky Rubber never ceases to delight us.Introducing the Circuit line of catsuits - I'm sad to say they've been sitting in our closet for a month, but I plead busy on LFFW.
The color combinations are awesome, the white in particular just blew my mind.
The price is very reasonable for the excellent quality.. go on, get a couple. Or go nuts, and get them all ;)
lelo:Now here is something you don't see every day, a fun texture on a catsuit, and it continues the robotic theme we had yesterday.
A simple 4 piece outfit in underwear layer, so you can use it as a base for other clothing.
They come in 4 fun color combinations, something for every one i think.
The shine is somewhere between POC and Kayliwulf and the texture that gives the catsuit it's name gives it a futuristic look.
So if you love to run around the space sim's or are into cybernetics these are for you and if you are simply looking for a good looking catsuit.. well go ahead and buy them. *winks*

AtaMe - Water Collection
lelo:
Quick note from us on Sunday, our friend Milu just called us with some news we just couldn't keep from our readers.
First of all she has moved her shop to the Red Light Center so we included the new SLURL as you are used from us.
Secondly and more important the first of a new line of latex clothes by her, the water collection, which will consist mainly of latex bathing suits and bikini's.
The first one is this B&W one which comes in both underwear and shirt layer.
The shine is as we are used to from AtaMe, quite good and the white works very good, very sharp lines in this one.
The new line will have a special price in honor of the move to the new shop, just 150 ls.
So better get them while they are hot.

Latex Fetishwear Fashion Week : Seven Deadly Sins
This is already day four of the week-long event.
The shows and parties are going awesomely well, we're seeing gorgeous designs from cool folks, and as a special treat, I'm giving you an advance peek at tonight's event, the Seven Deadly Sins at NoRSim.
Here's a view from above, showing how the stages are laid out.
And here are the sins. Wrath here,
followed by Lust,
then Envy,
Pride (which goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall)
Gluttony,
Greed,
and Sloth. I could write more, but I need a nap ;)
Don't forget too check out the schedule for the remaining week at: http://docs.google.com/View?id=dxhwknn_10dp3pjwdk

Latex Fetishwear Fashion Week : Last Update Before The Event!
Ok folks, this is the last update for the LFFW, since the event is this weekend. We had new designers come on board, so make sure you check out the information page for the list of shows.
Vain Inc. and Sexy Second ads are already out, and ICON magazine should be out any day.
We sent word to all the bloggers we know, and a few we don't know ;)
Please, tell your friends to tell their friends.. we hope this event will be big, fun, and the first of many.
And since we're just a few days away, I thought a quick interview with the organizer of the event would be à propos :
Deirdre Young: So, Lexie, tell us a bit about yourself.
Lexie Jansma: I am a fun-loving girl, and I do what I love here, which is planning events.
I previously planned events at several locations including several fetishwear fashion shows, but the Latex Fetishwear Fashion Week is my largest event by far.
I love coming up with themes, decorating, doing custom builds and making things happen that people have not seen before.
It is always nice to hear at the end of the day "That was amazing", "I have never seen anything like that", or "You did all that work for one night?".
I just smile and say yes, and people remember what an awesome event it was.
DY: What motivated you to launch LFFW ?
LJ: It's an old idea of mine. There is hair fair, shoe fair, jewelry fair but no Fetish Fair.
In fact, there does not seem to be many major fetish events.
I was brought on board by a modeling agency to create some fashion week events.
I proposed a fetish event at the time. Unfortunately nothing happened with them, and my idea just stagnated.
So when I began working at Latex Station, I decided now would be a good time.
DY: Anything you wand to add?
LJ: It has been a lot of work of a very talented group of people, so I want to thank them.
The designers have really given a lot of themselves.
I hope that people come to the shows and enjoy their time at the fair.
I want the fetish community to come together because no matter our differences, we are all here in this great big SL together.

Graves - G102 Boots
Deirdre:
Another original pair of boots followed to a store. Don't shop, people-watch. It's a lot faster ;)
These are the G102 boots from Graves, in a very good white, matching their outfits perfectly. They are also available in black and ruby.
There's a couple of cool prim ankle and leg straps included for decoration. To stick to their one attachment point policy on boots, those come right off.
There's a darker white (we call that grey where I'm from) version of the boot, if you want to wear them with something else and the bright version is too much.
The store is beautiful, very clean layout, easy to find things. Don't miss the futuristic reception desk if you visit.
A great boot, a very decent price. Come on, you're probably like me and have way too much black in your wardrobe ;)
lelo:
Jackie Graves has some very interesting designs in her store, one of which are her boots.
The most amazing part about them is the way the prim color matches the color of the cloth-layer shafts.
First time i've seen a match like this, best thing is that you don't have to adjust the prim shaft and it's a sleek looking one as well, well for most. *winks*
Give the shop a look, her designs are very original and the quality is very good.

| Deirdre: Today is a very special day for lelo and me. Two years ago, we met at Desperation Island, and we grew closer over the months, until she asked to marry me. As anniversaries go, wedding days are important, it's true... but we'll never forget the day we met. lelo: Each and every day i'm amazed at how lucky i am to have found my Deirdre, or better she found me... that's what makes this day so important to us... |

Dari's Haus Closes

We interviewed Darien Caldwell recently.
She is now concerned enough about the coming changes to adult content and privacy in Second Life that she is closing her store.
I encourage you to read the details on her site, but basically, Linden Labs is responding to US government pressure.
We are apparently expected to give up a large portion of our privacy because the American Congress is concerned that parents aren’t preventing their children from engaging in pretend sex in a 3D game.
Darien is the first designer we hear about who is taking this step. We sincerely wish her well, and respect her decision.
In a gesture of admirable generosity, she is releasing her creations in the public domain.
You can find the box with her collection at
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Yurim/235/87/31
or
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Aneslasleja/62/58/2.
Here is the link to the article on Congress's involvement in Linden Lab's policies.
And here is an article on the congressman seeking re-election who started the trouble.

Say No To Adult Content Segregation
I just received a link to a page on the Second Life issue tracker : http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-2727RichD Tomsen is requesting that Linden Labs discontinue the entire plan for Adult Content segregation, which would require any adult business on the mainland to be moved to a "red light district".
We agree with Rich that most residents don't care, and the ones who do are the ones who need a G-rated area.
This solution disturbs fewer people. It is simpler. It has fewer calories ;)
lelo and I are standing in a pony play area.
"Ponygirl" is on the list of words that are now flagged as adult.
As a demonstration of how censorship works, the list of those words which was on the Wiki page has now been removed.
I ask you to vote on this critical issue.
You will need to login with your Second Life name and password, then click Voting.
Petitions work. If hundreds of thousands of paying customers tell a business something.. they may listen.
Tell your friends. Tell them to tell their friends.

Late April's Fool
A little humor inspired by a silly site that makes me laugh :
"She's a rubber doll with a gift for map reading and a penchant for pony-play..
and she's a soft-spoken domme with uncanny people skills... they fight crime!"

On the subject of our grade system
Deirdre:
We try hard to avoid doing this, but it seems we've offended someone.
A recent grade was perceived as not good, and resulted in a designer being mad.
I'm not trivializing this. We don't intend to make anyone unhappy, so we will try to clarify things.
First, discussing with lelo, we agreed on our meanings.
Regular readers will have noted that I am generally looser in my grades than my dear doll is - I'm an easygoing domme, what can I say? But since we're making things clearer, I'll probably get a little tougher in the future.
Since we have the luxury of choosing what we review, it will be very rare that we will give out bad reviews - we just don't mention the bad stuff.
Here's exactly what our rankings mean :
A dash ( - ) means no opinion. We got the item from an automatic vendor, so we have no opinion on service, for example.
6 is passable. Okay quality, passable service. I wouldn't throw this item away if someone gave it to me. Price is high, I would probably shop around for another designer making a similar item.
7 is good. Good quality, good service. I would buy again, I was well treated. Price is decent. A 7 is not a bad grade at all.
8 is remarkable, above average. The work stands out from similar designs, the service was very, very good. Price is good, no strenuous shopping required.
9 is extraordinary. The quality leaves everyone else in the dust, the people are extraordinarily nice and perhaps even became close personal friends of ours. Price is awesome. As an example, when I buy Sirena hair at 195L$, I'm thinking, price 8. If I got the same for 100L$, I'd think price 9.
10 is beyond any expectations. The quality is unmatched, the service is stellar. We give 10 on price to good freebies.. free is hard to beat.
PHD's Alyssa Jessop interrupting her design work to immediately replace our pony cart (vanished in an inventory bug) and custom-fitting the new cart to lelo's long legs for free is a good example.
Based on this new understanding, we even went back and looked at some older grades, at either extreme end, and we'll be revising them today.

Happy New Year from Bora Bora
Happy New Year to all our readers, from lelo and myself in Bora Bora, our favorite beach spot in SL.We hope you will have a wonderful new year in Second Life, and that you will continue to enjoy our posts.
We'll keep bringing you good pics and reviews, looking for more good designers and good clothes and toys.
We definitely want to continue posting daily - although it's sometimes more work than we first thought.
"Ha, this will take five minutes!"
Well, it turns out that it doesn't ;)
We'll be introducing new models and guest-written posts, as some of our friends are pretty savvy shoppers.
We'll continue our coverage of Perversion Island as it grows and develops... including our own club, Bitch Goddess.
We also want to add links to other SL-fetish related blogs. If you have one, or know some, do get in touch with us.
As always, we welcome your comments and suggestions.

Merry Christmas
When we started this blog last September, we certainly had no idea we'd be writing a Christmas post. But here we are at number 70! One post a day has a way of creeping up on you.
We've had over 4000 visitors, with many regulars coming by every day.
Thank you for reading us, and we hope you're enjoying this little project as much as we enjoy searching for fun clothes and toys, and writing about them.
Our best wishes to you and yours.
