Kat sent us these gorgeous pony boots, and when I called her to chat, I got a glimpse at the incredible amount of work that goes into making them.I'd be lying if I said I understood everything, but I'm enough of a geekgirl to appreciate the sheer number of tools - and hours of work! - needed to produce work of this quality.
The pony boots are made of an astonishing 134 prims each. Aside from obvious duplicates like eyelets, they each have their own texture - which had to be made and uploaded into SL at 10L$ each!
It's good to think about this sort of thing now and then, and appreciate the work designers put in when making something intricate.
Makes it a lot easier to spend a bit of money on good boots!

lelo:I think Kat has the steepest learning curve of anyone we have meet yet, these boots are amazing especially considering they are the second pair she made for SL.
The sculpting is impressive and so is the texturing and as you might remember from her first boots you get quite a few options to choose from.
The menu lets you change the texture and the tint of the straps, boot and sole separately, you can also change the tint of the metal on the boots.
There is also an option to hide the lovely belts, not sure why you would want to but you can. *winks*
The last two buttons in the menu let you control the RLV compatible lock function, which shows some tiny little locks.
And an all important reset switch to get the colors and textures on the boots back into the original state.
Ohh and she already included the alpha foot for viewer v.2, isn't she a dear. *smiles*
