Karu Karu - Rachel

The day after we featured the Tiffany boots discount, Chane called us with a new outfit. This is Rachel, a versatile body with lots of good straps and zips :)

We’re featuring the colors from the Popular Pack here, ruby, pink and black, but of course Rachel is also available in the other Karu Karu colors : blue, powder blue, purple, red, white and yellow.

The Ruby is quite dark, nearly a black with blood-red highlights. The red is a good light tint, so you have a clear choice.

The top features deep cleavage and bare belly button: you could go surfing in this and only get a few stares ;)

The bottom comes with stocking tops, and adds a third strap at the top of the stockings for extra length.

Without the top the stockings end a bit abruptly, so you may want to do without the stockings altogether if you wear the bottom without stocking top.

Fat and Popular packs are great discounts, so if you like Rachel and want variety, definitely go for them.

Another round of latex tonight, this time by Chane at Karu Karu, so it should be good for a great mix of skin, latex and belts.

Fetish Cheapies

A couple of nice inexpensive bits of fetishwear fiendishly priced to get you in the store tonight ;)

We showed you the lovely Tiffany ankle boots by Karu Karu a long while back.

We also showed them to you when they were sold by someone else, but that’s the nature of bought sculpts.

Chane is now selling Tiffany in Ruby - matching her signature color - at 99L$ instead of the regular 249. That won’t last long, so don’t wait if you want them :)

Latexia Party and Last Karu Holiday Release

This is nearly our last post of the year: we’ll be back on Christmas day with our wishes, then on Monday, January 6th, 2014.

Two cool quickies for you before we go: a winter solstice party at Latexia, and another holiday re-release from Karu Karu.

Karu Karu - Ilona Holiday Edition

A festive outfit from Karu Karu tonight, this is Ilona, Holiday Edition.

It’s a fun outfit for us because it’s also the first Karu Karu outfit we ever featured, in March 2011 - wow, where does the time go?

This Ilona is a pants-layer only version, so you’ll either want to wear ankle boots or Edit Appearance and shorten pants a bit - you know the drill by now, I'm sure.

Gloves and a shirt-layer top, so lots of room to wear a jacket or coat over it if you get chilly - I wrote that and I just had to throw on my Republica fur jacket from Indyra   ;)

A cool Karu Karu classic, revamped for the season, at a decent price. Grab a mic and do your best Santa Baby karaoke!

Halloween Releases at Karu Karu

Orange wear season is upon us. We’ll probably feature costumes and assorted Hallowe’en content in coming weeks, so let’s start with classics :)

Chane is re-releasing a set of four outfits in Hallowe’en orange for 99L$ for a limited time - a great deal if you like the color, otherwise a convenient seasonal deal.

Karu Karu - Buckle Strap Combos

Some cool new straps and rings and buckles at Karu Karu, and as there’s a wagonload, we’ll just show you two, and the vendor pic for all of them together is our third pic.

Now I was discussing harnesses as possible domme wear with lelo, and as usual, my sweetie and I agree, short of throwing a catsuit under it, no amount of accessorizing makes this a Mistress outfit. (Mind you,  it looks stunning over my red POC catsuit!)

The astute reader will have guessed that Rosal Tueur gloves and Bax Regency boots are not included in the Karu Karu box ;)

I’m wearing the Combo number 4.. Chane should have made one more, just for the name.

The straps and big O-rings and buckles make a striking symmetrical pattern, and the thigh straps make a great garter belt.

Lovely, inexpensive additions to any outfit, or worn as-is if that’s your taste, you’ll definitely catch the eye.

Karu Karu Maxine and Firestorm 4.4.1

I caught Chane Karu online this week and we had a fun yak - to me that’s the top perk of the blog, staying in touch with the makers and the shakers in SL.

We discussed Lolas! Tango implants, and how they seem to have won the race; I confirmed that we see do many designers creating appliers for them.

Chane got into them too, and this weekend’s 99L$ discount has the Tango appliers included.

The Firestorm installation was fairly painless, as I said recently. That’s a good thing, because the team just released version 4.4.1.

Sigh ;)

The good news is that it fixes a bunch of stuff.

Don’t forget to do a clean install, and do use the Backup feature to save your settings if you love them ;)

Your logs are not included in the settings backup - you'll want to backup those manually.

Be kind to the volunteers in the support group, they’re about to be swamped by tens of thousands of new users (as Phoenix becomes unusable soon) and upgraders (as old Firestorm versions suffer the same fate).

Karu Karu - Lindsay and Brooke

Last of the massive new release we got from Chane last month, I have Lindsay and lelo has Brooke.

We ran into a few Firestorm “features” on our first photo shoot in the new viewer. Lights have a lot more “ooomph” in FS than they had in Phoenix. A *lot*.

I had to turn off my face lights, move back our studio lamps.. and I’m still not 100% satisfied.

Keep this in mind when you examine the pics, ok? Chane didn’t change her colors, it’s us.

The Lindsay cutouts and transparent latex underneath combo looks really good. At first glance it looks like a body, but no, wait, that’s connected to the pants in a chaps kind of look. Love it.

Lindsay comes with closed and open version of the pants, shirt layer top, and shoulder gloves.

Do drop by the store and see the latest release, a skimpy number called Buckle Strap Combo 3, which Chane describes as “kinda like a buckle strap bikini, almost” ;)

Karu Karu - Carmen and Monique

Chane released a bunch of great new outfits - we have them sitting here and we’ll show them a few at a time so we don’t swamp you, ok? ;)

I’m wearing the laced top Carmen outfit tonight, with Jenna boots. The laces on the top are not crooked like many others you see, which makes me guess that Chane actually corrected for the chest shape.

A basic shirt-pants-gloves outfit, Carmen is not impossible to coordinate with other things, but is a lot easier to mix and match with other Karu Karu outfits.

The Jenna boots are available in all Karu colors, but you may wish to go with black ones on some colors - I thought yellow boots made it a little too “Kill Bill” ;)

The current 99L$ discount is the Zip Suit in Ruby, a striking color when it’s allowed enough coverage. I’ll say hurry and go snap it up before it’s gone :)

Some good old fashioned shiny latex tonight, this time from Chane at Karu Karu, so prepare for lots of belts and laces. *smiles*

I’m wearing the Monique outfit, for which there are some lolas appliers available which we won’t keep from you, my poor old back.

The underwear layers give you a lovely smoky transparent catsuit, the upper layer gives you the lovely outfit you see in the picture.

I’m also wearing the Brenda boots, which, just like Monique, are available in all the lovely Karu Karu colors and they match the outfit perfectly.

Only little down side of the boots is that they are tiny when you first rezz them, but a smart little resizer takes care of that problem in seconds.

So lovely shiny latex that stands out from the crowd, in lots of fashionable colors with matching boots and Lolas appliers... what’s not to love.

Ohh and keep an eye on her discounts... only thing better than latex is cheap latex. *winks*

Karu Karu - Zora Catsuit and Jenna Boots

Chane’s discounts are always awesome, and this week is no exception.

The Zora catsuit is not new, but I imagine this fun bright green one is, and it comes with a surprise: the Lolas Tango appliers, instead of being sold separately, are included with the green Zora.

A cool transparent suit is included as underwear layer, covering you from neck to ankles.

That makes the pants pants-layer only, which will require you to shorten them a bit (mine are at 80%) in your Appearance menu if you want to wear them with boots.

The Jenna boots are at a great discount as well, so expect a few Karu fans to wander around in black and green soon.. hey, maybe there’s a superhero theme there. Green Karu! ;)

The Jenna suffer a bit from the black on black syndrome, but they’re great fashion boots: a bit slouchy, with straps from top to bottom. Hey, I had slouch boots in the eighties!

Lets start with the boots, they are lovely fashionable boots, with a great leather texture, only real downside is the fact that they are so low heeled they hurt my feet. *winks*

The boots are quite small in the box but the included resizer will take care of that in seconds.

For the catsuit you get the option of wearing it with an opened or closed top and bottom, though that last one would need a lot of parent guidance.

Karu Karu - Halloween Body Zip Suit

Hello boys and ghouls :) Ok, Elvira I’m not, but tis the season to be silly.

Chane made a really clever catsuit this year, the Hallowe’en Body Zip Suit. Two versions, one layer each - this is not a mix and match item, it would pretty much defeat the purpose.

The bones are grey rather than shining white, and they look really good. You should get quite a few double takes wearing this one :)

Also, as a special Hallowe’en offer, there are two sets of favorite Karu Karu outfits (Nona, Tanja, Synergy and Natascha in one, Nadine, Susan, Yasmin and Monica in the other) in pumpkin orange, for an incredible 99L$ per set.

That’s right, you could buy 8 outfits for 198L$. The vendor is near the landing zone, in the “impulse buy” area at the store ;)

The top zipper opens to the belly button and just barely manages to cover up the girls, the bottom zipper is a bladder infection waiting to happen. *smiles*

You don’t get feet with the catsuit, i guess all those little bones were a bit too much work, so better wear some boots with it.

Nix 2 is similar to Nix, but sports a cool fishnet underneath, in matching color: the purple latex has purple fishnet and so on.

Karu Karu - Lindsay

Between summer and capped IM’s and notecards not always getting delivered, the blog is a bit more of a challenge lately.

But old friends call us, which helps a lot :) Chane had this lovely catsuit to show us, called Lindsay.

It’s all clothes layer: shirt, pants and gloves, no fuss.

There’s a fatpack with all 9 colors, at a great discount, but there is also a clever “popular pack” of the four favorite colors (ruby, white, black and pink) for half the price of the fatpack - a great compromise.

The store is new and improved - very clean and easy to navigate (or cam if you’re lazy like me), with the Lindsay vendor visible right at the landing zone... right next to a little 99L$ discounted item. You know, like candy bars next to the cash register ;)

There are just 4 items in the folder, a shirt, two pants and the gloves, nicely in the middle layer so you can wear underwear under and jackets or corsets over it.

This is a great party outfit that comes in 9 different colors, so something for every mood.

And when you meet that special someone in a club, which shouldn’t hard in this one, and you decide to do a bit of poseball hopping the second version of the pants comes into play, that zipper isn’t just for show. *winks*

Karu Karu - Synergy

You know what they say, if you like someone, they have a style, and if you don’t like them, they’re repetitive? ;)

Synergy has some similarities with Ilona, but since we love it, we’ll say that Chane, like other designers, has a style very much her own - which you will recognize once you’ve seen a few of her designs.

This, then, is Synergy, by Karu Karu. We got the fat pack because I wanted to show a good sampling of the available colors.

The bright colors are really bright, and the darker ones, like ruby, are really dark.

(To be clear, Lelo's wearing red and not ruby in the second pic.)

I like the straps on the elbow gloves, matching the hip cutouts. The neck strap is fun if you like chokers (as I do) and don’t want to wear a prim one.

The lacing is a nice cleavage enhancer, making even my modest curves really stand out.

This is a very nice outfit, and the excellent price (even better on the fatpack) should encourage you to drop by Karu Karu soon soon ;)

A return to Karu Karu, means a return to simple quality outfits for good prices.

Like with the Ilona you get 5 items in the box, the base transparent catsuit, the latex top and the gloves.

The big difference are the lovely D-rings and string keeping the deep, deep cleavage in check.

You have a choice of black, blue, pale blue, pink, purple, red, ruby, white and yellow catsuit, something for every occasion i would say.

The pants are flared, but by shortening them 10% they will work great with boots.

Great sexy party outfit, which shouldn’t miss in any strippers wardrobe, platforms not included. *winks*

Karu Karu - Ilona

We’ve been meaning to cover Karu Karu since the Latex Fetishwear Fashion Week (remember that?), and we found one of Chane's boutiques in a mall recently, which reminded me.

A short trip to the main store, a long visit (there’s really a *lot* of great outfits) and we picked Ilona to show you. Why did that one outfit grab me and not another? I couldn’t say.

It’s representative of the store, it’s really quite good, comes in a rainbow of good colors (nine!), and is pretty inexpensive.

The store is huge, and the outfits are worth seeing. Plan to spend a fair bit of time there if you do as we did and follow the old labyrinth trick of sticking to one wall.

Just add your favorite footwear, and you have a great fetish outfit... or clubbing, or gunfighting, whatever ;)

The big Karu Karu box contains 5 clothing items, which doesn’t seem like a lot but the keyword here is quality not quantity.

You get the catsuit in clothing layer, leaving room for a jacket or corset in jacket layer.

There also is nice extra transparent catsuit in underwear layer, which works great with the main catsuit, giving it more depth.

The transparent catsuit is a nice base for countless outfits or can be worn by itself if you are really brave.

The high quality textured belts give this outfit its “this will never work in RL, but i love it in SL” look.

A pair of long gloves complete this inexpensive outfit and give the shop a look i’m sure you’ll find something you’ll love.
