We saw the Kaina boots worn at Domme a Domme, and we headed to PixelFashion for a closer look.
We heard from Deesselle Destiny, the PixelFashion bloggers group admin, that Amandine Arai hasn’t been online for some time - we wish Amandine well, as we’ve received no replies from contact attempts with her or Ono Zinner, her partner.
That said, the boots looked good so we thought we’d share them with you. The demo includes all colors in the HUD so you can get a good idea whether you’ll love them or not.
The foot shape and heel are more to my taste than to lelo’s; more fashion than outrageously fetish, let’s say.
The boots are in different parts, each colorable separately; the colors are good but the tints are mostly dark - a bit more light would have been good in some, at least.
There is materials at work - and fitted mesh! - as the shine and texture clearly show. This is a thoroughly modern boot, and a design of excellent quality.
There are limited color packs - something that I believe should be a thing of the past. The color packs are 550L$ but the fatpack is 1100L$, making it a bit steep in my opinion.

PixelFashion - Bombast Bicolor
Deirdre
The Bombast Bicolor boots by Pixelfashion are available in a wide range of interesting textures.
Aside from the plain (so to speak) Bicolor I’m wearing here, there are versions with snake print, zebra and leopard.
There’s also a related model with a large number of spikes at the rear - when I say large, I mean I couldn’t rez the demo boot on our parcel ;)
The Bicolor, then, have six leather textures with a leather colored front and black rear, and three sole colors. The basic model has an alpha invisible for v2, but includes a box with v1.23 boots with invisiprims.
The boots arrive in a small, medium, and large versions. Combined with the included resize script, it took me moments to get these fitted.
The shape is beautiful - it’s that very much in-fashion-right-now hidden platform design, combined with a classic stiletto heel.
I reminded Amandine that we very much liked her PVC dress, and she promised to keep us posted... and we’ll pass the ball with webex - um, Blogger ;)
lelo
We found these boots on some girl at one of our hang outs, where we like to yak and look for nice new gear for you our esteemed readers.
So don’t be surprised to find us snooping your clothing when we see you wearing something new and exciting.
Shopping is so overrated. *winks*
This time we weren’t immediately in love with the look of the boots, but the shape caught our eyes.
When we saw they were from Pixelfashion we knew it was high time to pay them a visit.
When we arrived at PixelFashion we weren’t disappointed as Amandine made loads of versions of these lovely boots, so something for every one.

Latex Station - Desdemona Electric Blue
Deirdre:
A nice science-fictiony look for your fetish, this is the Desdemona catsuit from Latex Station.
And if you like the look of the heel, the Pixelfashion-Neurolab Ultimate Boots come in such a wide variety of colors that you’ll be able to match most Latex Station (or other) outfits with them.
There are some very interesting 3D effects on the suit, giving a spacesuit / armor feel to it.
Pad with a few weapons and a visor, and you can walk right into a Halo campaign... well, almost.
Just make sure you have plenty of time to shop if you head for Latex Station.
Between the size of the place and the number of outfits, you may be there a while ;)
lelo:
Woohoo, something matching my eyes... *winks*
Desdemona is a 4 part outfit, which is offered in 4 colors, we went for the electric blue because we both found it the most electrifying one of the lot.
The catsuit features some daring cutouts for the breasts, but the smoky transparent latex keeps everything PGish...
The patterns are well defined and work great to give you a look that should work on most SL space stations.
Some of the belts on the suit are in strange places, but every belt is an extra we gladly take.
So to sum it up, great base catsuit, great for playing Barbarella.. oops are my grey hairs showing.. *winks*

PixelFashion and Neurolab - Russ Dress
Deirdre:
For once, we actually saw a dress in a shop :) This is the Russ Dress, a 17-part outfit by PixelFashion.
It's really two versions of a dress, one in shiny black PVC, the other in smoky transparent PVC.
Excellent reflections, quite eye-catching and realistic.
A few nice prim parts are included : upper arm straps (in small, medium and large), and matching ones for chest and behind.
The skirt has a prim part, which I applaud. It's quite good, but the best I've seen is by Drawmachine. (Seriously, Armin, license and sell that thing, it's pure genius.)
I didn't have strapped boots to do it justice, so I pulled out my old Minx.. which I still love, after all these years.
lelo:
When we were shopping for the ultimate boots, a little while back, we saw this beauty in the PixelFashion shop.
It was under a big "NEW" sign, we just love signs like that. make our job a lot easier. *smiles*
I really tried to get Mistress into the transparent skirt for our fan's but i miserably failed. *winks*
Still great looking sexy dress with a public and private version in one smart little box.

PixelFashion and Neurolab - Ultimate Boots
Deirdre:
We've seen stiletto boots, but this is the first needle heel I find :)
These Ultimate boots by Pixelfashion/Neurolab have a detailed and realistic leather texture, and a very good foot shape.
The fit is excellent; the small size fit me right out of the box, with the assistance of a small invisiprim, didn't even have to use the resize menu.
Anything that minimizes the fuss of fitting and adjusting is good, to my mind.
A neat bit of info I swiped from their XStreetSL page :
When you change the boot color, the "Ultimate Jewels Set" will change the color of the jewel to match your boots automatically.
lelo:
If someone proclaims to have the ultimate boots we just have to check them out. *winks*
The boots come in all kinds of colors, and are grouped per color range, like with most hair packs in SL.
In each pack you get 4 colors, but if you like the look and are a frequent costume changer, you can get a fat pack containing all 29 colors.
In the pack you'll find the boots in 3 sizes, seems i'm a medium, the footshape and invisi prims to hide your feet, finally there is an English and French manual supplied.
The menu offers 3 options, with texture you can choose one of the 4 colors in the pack, with re-size you can adjust your boot size and the sound option controls the sound, nice and simple just the way we like them. *smiles*
So, great textures, many, many colors, easy to fit, wonderful shape, leaves only the heel which is a matter of taste, i would say the name is well chosen.
