Evelock - Femdom Hunt Success Story

We had a feeling that the Femdom Hunt had gone well, but I call Eve when I want the inside track on business in SL - she’s savvy and she likes a good yak as much as I do. :)

Over 1000 people picked up a copy of the gifts she offered during the Hunt - amazing results for *any* promotional activity in SL.

While those visits don’t translate into sales during the event, Eve notes increased traffic and sales since the end of the hunt - seems her strategy of putting out a bunch of new products before the start of the hunt gave the visitors something to see and remember.

Eve also put out a limited-offer cheapie during the hunt, and it sold like hotcakes; showing that the hunters do look around, and will pick up interesting items - more so than lucky chair jumpers, I would guess.

Stay tuned for more hunt gifts in coming weeks. We met some great new people along the way, and I believe our list of stores will get a boost :)

Not quite my specialty, the jewelry i usually wear are called collars and shackles and my ears, well don’t think many have seen them naked. *smiles*

In the set you get earrings, a necklace and a belly button jewel, all in shiny silver and all numberi.

Sesame Street could have a special with these; imagine the Count doing the numbers. *muhahaha*

Still they do look lovely and who knows next time Mistress takes me to a vanilla event i’ll have a opportunity to wear them.

Places - Victoria Academy

During the Femdom Hunt, we came across Victoria Academy and I thought it would be an interesting place to cover.

The faculty was pleasant and helpful, and we got tons of good info from them and the intro cards - from which I’ll steal outrageously to tell you about VA ;)

Victoria Academy - VA for short - is an adult educational establishment open to both male and female students that promotes the use of corporal punishment (spanking/caning/paddling etc...) as a means to impart knowledge and good behaviour on those who attend.

School and spanking roleplay devotees will feel right at home here.

Students are expected to wear the uniform provided and attend classes and/or events when able. Teachers are expected to be able to run at least one group roleplay (lesson) per month as a minimum and contribute to general roleplay outside of this when time permits.

Joining VA is a commitment. There are enough neglected ponies and subs of every other ilk that I believe this is a good thing.

We provide many interesting lessons and clubs and students often attend out of genuine interest rather than simply seeking a spanking.

While the first thing lelo said was “lots of rules, lots of reasons for spankings”, VA does seem devoted to actual learning too.

Victoria Academy isn't...

1) A School/Kindergarten. It is an adult educational establishment. To that end all avatars/students must fulfil the minimum age requirement of 18 years old and must dress and act appropriately.. Child avatars and mid-teens will not be allowed to roleplay on campus or take part in lessons.

I wholeheartedly approve, and in a world where avatars of every shape, size, color, race and description are the norm, the one type that creeps me out is children avatars.

2) A sex sim. Despite being rated as an adult sim, with adult avatars, we ask that any sexual activity/conversations be conducted in IMs and that no such activity take place in open chat or public areas. The campus is not a trawling ground for sexual partners and is monitored closely with any and all complaints acted upon immediately.

That one was a surprise, and it is probably the first adult area where I see such a rule. This being said, if you’re at VA it’s because you want that kind of roleplay, and there are plenty of other sex-ok adult areas.

What can I join VA as?

First off, we suggest you join simply as a visitor and take the time to get to know the campus/people and all that's on offer - a visitor tag gives you full access to all the amenities without having to decide on which role would suit you best. 

Most Dominants apply to be teachers (which allows them to punish students) whilst most submissives apply to be students. 

We also have Prefect and Head of House roles which appeal to Switches as they are allowed to punish students as well as being punished by teachers.

Application forms for all positions are available at the Reception Desk in the Main School Building.

There are rules for students, and rules for teachers. They seem reasonable, and based on experience.

But if you don’t love rules, VA is not for you ;)

Femdom Hunt IV Begins Tomorrow

The walk-throughs are done, the last-minute changes are done, the inevitable last-minute pull-outs, moves, weddings - ah, that pesky RL! ;)

In a little less than eight hours, the Femdom Hunt’s fourth edition begins, with 62 stores offering free gifts - many of them RLV related. New Femdom regions have joined the hunt this year, too.

Many of our friends worked long and hard to produce gifts to offer on this hunt, and it’s very cool to see a project like this last for years in a world where three months is a long-term relationship ;)

Antony was kind enough to explain the “hunt path” to me: seems some stores have a landing zone which is a ways from the hidden gift, so a path lined with various things shows the way.

He explained this because he mentioned that the girls at Plausible Body had a bit of fun with this concept last year

Of course a Femdom hunt path will include a sub male to trample along the way ;)

Femdom Hunt Is Coming

You may be aware of the Femdom Hunt. It’s a big, fun event, and it’s been simmering on the back burner for some months now.

By which I mean that other people are doing the work ;)

To pitch in, we’ll just remind everyone that stores that want to be included need to get in touch with the organizers.

I’ll paste a bit from their recent post :

The hunt will run from October 18th 2013 until November 3rd 2013, inclusive.

As with the first three hunts we'll be taking applications from a mixture of vendors and Femdom regions and hangouts and making the hunt a journey through the wider Second Life Femdom community.

Applications are now open. Please note that applications are made online and that vendors and Femdoms have separate forms.

If you have any issues or problems filling out your application please don't hesitate to contact Antony Fairport or Zardia Avindar.

KaS Corset Update and Aug. 17th Party Reminder

For all you KaS corset lovers, there is a free update available at the KaS stores. 

Salid has gone Mesh with her corset so the new version now moves with your body. *woohoo*

There is a slight down side to the new Mesh version as the training bit has been taken out of the corset, you now have all 4 versions in your folder.

You can still train in the old one and do the silly walk while training and wear the new one when you are done and have gained a elegant walk.

So get over to KaS for this update and if you didn’t buy it in the first place..DUH..this is a must-have, girls. *winks*

Anima Temptation - Raffinata and Courtesan

Malls.. I don’t know what we’d do without malls.

They may seem like a necessary evil at best, especially if one near your favorite club seems to be a good source of lag (like, 500% your recommended daily allowance), but for finding cool new stuff at a glance, they can’t be beat.

We were visiting Freedom when lelo saw the Anima store.. well we hadn’t featured them in ages, so we went in, and lo! Cool new stuff ;)

The Raffinata shoe (or bootie, as you like) by Anima Temptation has a wicked stiletto heel and a tiny, fifties-fetish toebox. The ankle strap is another classic touch. Available colors are black, pink and red.

The shape of the shoe is really great. And one aspect I appreciate (as it’s getting rare!) is that both an alpha version for new viewers and a version with old school invisiprims are included.

So support your local mall - remember, it probably supports your local club ;)

We’ll start the week with a nice little double feature by Anima Temptation.

Mistress is wearing the Raffinata ankle boots, with heels that make them absolute fetish boots, that and not to mention the locking option on them.

I drew the short straw and ended up with the ballet shoes. *winks*

Which i absolutely love, Adira took the shape of pointe slippers and added the heels, that’s how they always should look.

Just look at the way the sole is bent under the toebox, just like the real thing.

The eyelet and red laces give the shoes some extra life and a good focus point.

The scripting is simple and easy to work with, offering you control over the walking sound, a good working resize option, three AO options and an extra corset function and finally you get access to a MoLock system.

Nothing fancy, but everything you need in an easy to understand menu system.

The help button which you will find on each menu page will take you to the MoDesign webpage, so no outdated notecards, now that’s great customer service.

Femdom Hunt

We got a nice note from Zardia Avindar telling us about a new hunt.

As it’s definitely related to our usual topics, I’m happy to announce the upcoming Femdom Hunt !

I had never heard about hunts before the first one we announced here, although lelo had - she’s the real brains of this outfit.

We had fun hopping from store to store and looking for the hidden prim that gives you the free gift at each stop.

How does a hunt work, you ask? If you do, you weren’t paying attention just now ;)

It’s really pretty simple, and the real challenge is for the organizers : making sure all is in place, redirecting store 20 to store 22 when store 21 pulls out.. Zardia did her homework, it’s plain to see.

The hunt starts Friday the 15th - that’s right, 2 days from now. It lasts for two weeks, with 16 Femdom sims and 55 stores taking part.
