Purrfect 10 - Killer Heels

I had to search through my wardrobe for a moment to find something deadly enough to match Ten’s new Killer Heels.. I think XTC’s Viper dress does the trick.

And I already had switchblade boots .. the revolver heel rounds out the collection ;)

I fine tuned my skin color again with the basic color ball so here’s the new improved Deirdre skin color : RGB 202 125 73, Hue Sat Lum 24 55 54.

There’s a pretty fancy skin toner device included in the box, which uses an external program called Color Cop to very cleverly “eye-dropper” your own skin color to feed into the color ball.

Killer Heels are available in a wagonload of colors : White, Crimson, Cream, Chocolate, Tiger Pink, Tiger Natural, Tiger Turquoise, Camo Red, Camo Grey and Camo Gold.

Each color includes basic black, so you can make them all the primary colour, all patent black or a mix of both. The metal parts also can be changed to silver or gold. And each pair has a choice of 8 sole colours. If you can’t match your wardrobe, you just aren’t trying ;)

I’m sure they will be someones fetish, we just couldn’t let them go by.. could be the fact that Ten was pointing them at us at the time. *winks*

I’m glad Ten toned them down a bit and didn’t good all they way as they did with Rose in Planet Terror.

Still all joking besides, these are great looking shoes, the bullets with the little diamonds are a work of art and well the heels are killer.

So when you are looking for a very sexy bit of home protection, don’t look any further, these are the shoes for you.

Purrfect 10 - Halloween Black Widow Heels

“Hello darling, it’s me Deirdre, Mistress of the dark...” Well, Elvira I’m not, but this Hallowe’en nobody can say I didn’t make an effort ;)

The delicate little critters climbing on the lovely sandals by Purrfect 10 give them their name, Black Widow Heels.

They’re a total steal at 99L$ if spiders don’t give you the heebie-jeebies (black widow, brown recluse, funnel-web.. don’t get me started.)

Amusing anecdote: I had the skin color set perfectly, then used a fun Sirena hair trick, “/2 color black” to see if my usual blonde locks could be made to match the Mistress of the Dark look.

Well guess what? The shoes heard the command and turned black. Aaaagh! ;)

So, Deirdre free tip of the week: once you’ve matched the shoes to your own skin color, make note of the color, kiddies. (That’s the six numbers in the Texture color picker: RGB plus Hue, Saturation and Luminosity. Mine are 220 141 101, 20 63 63... that may give you a starting point.)

Purrfect 10 - Persephone Boots Patent

Is it a boot with bits missing, or a sandal with extras? Well Ten says it’s a boot, so that’s good enough for me.

Persephone is a very good-looking open-toe, open-back boot with lots of straps and buckles.

It comes in two interesting sizes, based on your leg muscle size (you’ll see that in Appearance). Mine is 56, so the size 60 version fits me pretty much like a glove.

The boot texture is excellent, with good plausible shine and bright colors. The texture change script is really fun.

I’m wearing the Magenta Persephone here (with the nice old Deamon outfit by Hugo’s) so the secondary color is black : I can change the boot itself to black while keeping the straps pink, and all the permutations.

Trim, sole, heels can all be changed.. down to the toenails. Persephone boots are available in black, chocolate, cream, crimson, lilac, magenta, rosedust, salmonrose, slate and white.

The skin color picker very cleverly uses SL’s own color picker on a sphere that gets rezzed in front of you. Match to your own, apply. Presto.

A very good value for the price, even though this is not an inexpensive boot. Support good boot designers so they don’t starve and go make furniture ;)

Third pair of boots this week, feels like we have a theme going there.

Now Purrfect 10 is more of a fashion store, but every boot with heels like that and this many buckles can only be a fetish boot.

Better take a good look at pictures of the boots, for the colors and don’t buy them by the color name, you might get a slight surprise.

Purrfect 10 - Isabelle Boots

The Isabelle leather boots by Purrfect Ten are unique and clever in a number of ways.

When I opened my 10-pack (while I haven’t needed Aquamarine or Chartreuse boots too frequently, well it’s nice to have the option), I had a moment of worry as I saw every color except black.

It turns out black is the secondary texture for all the colored boots.

By selecting Textures, Main Boot, Secondary, I turned the lovely Crimson boots into lovely black boots.

The lace panel, heel and sole can get the same treatment, each separately.

“Colors” as opposed to textures, are applied to the laces and eyelets.

The boots took a bit of fitting, and I’ll give you my super duper secret trick for adjusting boots : wear only one, and adjust it, using your bare leg to guide you.

Then make the other boot match. This is based on entirely too much time spent fitting boots in SL... I’ll ask Think Kink to make a universal boot adjustment system, I think.

The Isabelle boots have a gorgeous leather texture, nicely visible in black or on the myriad of colors. The heel has an elegant shape, as does the foot.

One last challenge remains : finding them in her big store ;)

It’s been a while but this was one of those, “wow look at those boots! who made them?”

A quick inspect and an even quicker tp later we were standing in front of the longest walkway we have seen yet.

Ok when you want to buy something at Purrfect ten better bring some comfortable shoes, it’s quite a walk from the LZ to the store itself.

At least Ten was so kind to put a nice little resting area at the end of the long walkway to the store, talk about considerate.

It is a fashion store so better tune down the fetish wear, so you don’t scare the natives.

The boots are available in: Amethyst, Aquamarine, Chartreuse, Cream, Crimson (worn here), Fuschia, Magenta, SkyBlue, Violet, White and of course all can be made black.
