KDC - Classic Leather Posture Collar

Kyrah’s blog was hinting that the Classic Leather Posture Collar was getting near, and sure enough, she released it this morning. I pounced and burned my fingers as it’s so hot off the press ;)

This is a staple of RL BDSM, and it is as powerful a symbol as you can get, so Kyrah gave it the full treatment.

Thick leather, big rivets, lockable roller buckle with metal-reinforced holes, riveted ring post - this collar screams “slave wear” loud and clear.

I took the liberty of snagging one of her pics, an “early normal mapping preview” because the shine  looks like someone lovingly applied several coats of mink oil to the leather :)

That said, Kyrah took pity on us poor late adopters and the collar’s texture looks absolutely stunning even in our tired old viewer.

I’ll quote Kyrah for a bit : “NOTE: this product uses a delivery box system and can be bought as a gift and distributed freely (no copy/transfer), it only becomes no copy/no transfer when the gift box is unpacked.”

Kyrah has been at it again and built us a brand new, exquisite leather posture collar, that looks good enough to eat.. or wear… *winks*

As before the collar does what a collar should do, it locks and secures your neck, putting you in a somewhat awkward posture, hence the name.

Some might not agree, but i love that in Kyrah’s designs, no RL collar can control your speech, you use a gag for that, and that’s Kyrah’s thinking as well, keeping the scripting clean.

The one thing you can also do with the collar is chain your wrist cuffs to it, using KDC’s TouchBound system: touch the side of the collar you want to chain to and touch the cuff next and you are bound.

Simple and elegant, just like the included color HUD that gives you a choice of 8 colors for the outside, stitching, inside and border of the collar.

The metal items on the collar, like the big ring on the front, get a choice of 7 metallic colors.

So go get it, i know you want to add this to your KDC collection… *smiles*

KDC - Vacuum System

Are you ready for torture? S&M? Horrible abuse, we’re-talking-Amnesty-International-stuff here? Introducing… the Vacuuming chore by KDC ;)

Now this is not a bondage bench you just put down and it’s ready to use, I’ll tell you right now.

But the setup looks worse than it really is. One run through and you’ll get it. Which doesn’t help you *beforehand*, but that’s the way of the world ;)

As the system owner, you have a bit of setting up to do. Fortunately Kyrah gives good documentation and a step-by-step for getting started.

Basically you'll rez and name a room controller. Using it, you’ll rez and name an object that will let you define the area to vacuum. Your victim does a first run of cleaning, and you’re set.

I’ll mention that the vacuum rezzes from the holder, so you don’t look for it when you unpack the box.

The whole system takes up 15 prims once in place, so it should be usable in the smallest skybox without putting you over your limit. The items themselves are handsome and nicely detailed.

Lelo assures me there are legions of maids eagerly awaiting this toy, and I believe her; as she pointed out, I am clearly not the target audience of this excellent torture device.

Here’s something new from Kyrah at KDC, something to keep your maid out of trouble when you aren’t in SL, or get her into trouble when you get back. *winks*

Introducing the KDC Vacuum System, as with most KDC things, she has kept the system very easy to use, just pick up the vacuum and klick to turn it on.

If it runs out of power, yes it’s cordless, just place it back in its holder and it will recharge itself.

Is the cleaner full, just take it to the included dustbin and empty it into it, by, yes you guessed it, clicking on the dustbin.

Then there is the evil overlord, aka the room manager that will indicate the cleanness of the room in the form of a green bar, which will haunt good little maids in their sleep. *smiles*

Having said this, Kyrah explained the science behind the system, all sciency like, with nodes and percentages, suffice it to say it works and even checks under the sofa, so no cutting corners with this system.

So put your girl or boy in your favourite maids uniform and let the room manager keep them on their toes, if the ballets aren’t enough for that.. oops personal fantasy slipping through…

Anyway KDC Vacuum System gives you a busy maid and a clean house, what more could you wish for.

KDC - Wasp Gasmask

Kyrah’s been working hard again, and I sometimes feel like the laziest person in the world compared to all our designer friends :)

The result is the KDC Wasp Gasmask, a great bit of gear for our heavy rubber dolls and the people who love them ;)

We’re a few days post-release, which is a good thing since Kyrah’s had time to fix bugs, one not even her fault. You can read the details on her blog.

The mask looks really good, with textured rubber straps for pulling it tight like a RL one. The lens colors are pretty subtle, cyan and so on. I might have liked mirror and opaque lenses options.

And we are back to toys tonight, didn’t i tell you they were just falling into our laps lately, well tonight we present you the new gasmask by Kyrah at KDC.

You might know that i’m a bit of a KDC fan, i practically live in her catsuit and headgear, so i’m always happy when she comes up with something new.

First things first, this is one good looking gasmask and a model i haven’t seen in SL yet.

As you might expect the mask uses Kyrah’s smart touch bound system for the locking and a similar system to add the filter to the gasmask.

There is a HUD included that makes it possible for you to adjust the color of the mask to your current outfit.

With the HUD you can also control the sound level of the mask, please turn it off or at least set it to low in public places.

Go get them while they are hot, this is a rubber doll must have and something that shouldn’t be missing in any doomsday preppers inventory.

KDC - Knee High Pony Boots

A new release from KDC - the new Knee High Pony Boots came out yesterday so I’d say this qualifies as “hot off the press”.

The KDC pony boots have a classic shape, with a very slight arch; a pony would be mostly on her toes. That’s not a bad thing; you *should* keep your pony on her toes ;)

The front lacing is not common on pony boots, but adds realistic detail, like the inside zippers.

The metal horseshoes are shiny but not chrome. A cool rear-support bit sticks out behind the hoof and makes standing in these boots more plausible-looking.

Have a look at Kyrah’s blog to see the development process she went through; I for one have a better appreciation of the amount of work that goes into our beloved fetish items since reading those posts.

Woohoo a new release from Kyrah at KDC and she’s back at making pony gear. *smiles*

The pony boots are a beautiful mesh construct and can be fully stretched into shape.

I had to make them quite a bit taller, Kyrah is what you might call a bit petite compared to me.

The boots are copy so you know the drill; make backups before you start tinkering with them.

Clicking on the boots gives you access to the visual and sound settings of the boots.

There are 5 areas you can color: the horseshoe, the lace, the boot, the hoof and the heel.

Each area has their own textures, from leather for the boots to wood for the heel, and the textures are quite amazing.

Only thing you might want on these boots would be a locking option, but then a RLV relay should be able to take care of that.

Get them while they are hot, well i’m sure they will stay hot until Kyrah builds new ones, still run run run... *winks*

KDC - Lined Chrome Chastity Belt

We’re a bit late on this one, as Kyrah released at the beginning of the month. But if you run buy KDC’s new chastity belt after reading our post, you’ll have missed a few bugs and updates.

Early adopters are sometimes known by the technical industry term “unpaid beta testers” ;)

Seriously, the more intricate the toy, the more chances of things going wrong. And this one is full of animations, chains, color controls and things... the toy bunnies will love it.

Visually, the first feeling you’ll get if you’re like me is “sturdy”. The big D rings, the rivets and padded edges give an impression of solidity to this metal belt.

See Kyrah’s blog to get an idea of the belt’s development. I just love seeing something like that once a product is released.

Fans may have read it to keep updated during development.. but I think the waiting would drive me nuts ;)

As much as i love Kyrah’s clothing (i practically live in her catsuit) her toys are the thing i really look forward to.

So i was quite happy to hear she was working on a chastity belt, my good old Odium is starting so show its age.

As usual with KDC the look is simple, but don’t think simple means bad, Kyrah has a great eye for detail.

The belt comes with a straightforward HUD that lets you change the color of the lining, the metal and the metal shine.

You won’t be surprised that the belt comes with Kyrah’s TouchBound locking system, yes i know, main theme seems to be simple here. *smiles*

For fitting you’ll need to use the good old Linden edit options, not a hardship, but could be easier with a script. Remember to make copies.

So like i said, a simple, easy to use, color adaptable piece of kit that should keep you out of trouble.. well the sexual kind of trouble that is. Nothing says "owned" like big locks on a full metal chastity.

KDC - Mannequins

Kyrah made a cool set of mannequins - not the doll kind, sadly ;) - this is news mostly of interest for designers.

I’ll be lazy and paste her notice here ;)

The clothing dummies are out, includes black and white fullperm “undercoat” textures.

2 Fullbody mannequins (for full outfits)
2 Lower body mannequins (pants, pantyhose, etc…)
1 Bust mannequin (shirts, bras, etc…)
All the mannequins are also available in a “dual layer” version, so you don’t have to make special textures for them if you don’t want to and can use your clothing textures as is. Also, the mannequins use the SL texture patterns of course.

KDC - Allycat Latex Pants

Some more of teh shineh for you tonight, the lovely Allycat Latex riding pants.

Kyrah is better at documenting her work than many designers, so if you want to see the progression of the design, see her blog entries from January 9th to February 2nd.

Throw on some good boots and a smart jacket and you’re all set for an afternoon of pony training with these shiny new pants.

The pants were rendered with Kyrah’s 3D tools, then tweaked for highlights and occlusion, according to her blog. Probably exposed to kryptonite radiation and buffed with ArmorAll, too. ;)

Seriously, you'll notice the awesomely detailed creases and highlights.

Each color box comes in two versions, with a black (or white) complementary part.

I especially like the tattoo layer version, which doesn’t require two parts to wear.

Note that you’re getting pants and nothing else. A matching top may be coming but wasn’t announced - that’s just me speculating, here.

Some lovely latex riding pants from Kyrah tonight and as you might expect she spent way too much time on them... still it shows. *smiles*

Even if this is only a pair of pants you get 12 parts in the box, which give you two color options, in all possible layers, including the tattoo layer we love.

As the pants reach up to mid waist, which is normal for riding pants, part of them is in the top layer.

The pants come in all KDC colors and are combined with basic black or white as second color.

So planning a nice ride with your pony this spring, KDC has your new pants. *winks*

KDC - Ponyplay Bits

Hot off the presses: New bits from KDC, so if the last batch we showed you wasn’t to your liking, which i find hard to believe, here’s more choice.

The bits come with all the options we showed you before, like the Touchbound system and the color HUD.

They also integrate nicely with the bridle, which we didn’t show here to prevent confusion.

We’re showing you a good sampling here, but if you look on Kyrah’s blog, you’ll see four recent posts showing three new bits each.

The bits are transferable until unpacked, which I think is brilliant and more designers should do this.

Kidnapped! - Maid Accessory Gags

Remember in August, when a shoe-gag in a store reminded lelo she had a good one in her inventory?

Well, the store where we saw the memory-jogging toy was Kidnapped!, and we return to it tonight to show you a great toolkit for the maid in your life: the Maid Accessory Gags.

Some are well-suited to static poses, maybe with a ton of bondage gear, or just an order to “stay still!”: the lamp gag and ashtray gag, say.

The others encourage a more active participation on your maid’s part, scrubbing, ironing and vacuuming.

These are simple but good-looking toys; I think we don’t really require mesh toilet brushes yet ;)

So it was time to slip into my favorite maids uniform by KDC and chase the dust bunnies around the house.

The kit comes with everything you might ever need so your favorite bondage maid can keep the house tidy.

The look of the gags is good and for me a perfect fit, there is no resizing menu but the gags are fully mod.

Scripting is simple but does everything you need from a toy like this, including a fun little struggle game to get you out of the gag.

There is the usual RLV support and for the lovers of open keys a ban list to fight off the “klickers”.

KDC Lorelei Hoods and Saint Torley Day

What would I do without Inara?

While I’m trying on sexy boots and sticking lelo in bondage hoods, she keeps an eye on the world and points out the important stuff I would miss.

Seriously, subscribe to her blog. I have her last 451 posts in my Thunderbird (best RSS reader ever!) and I would be a poorer leather goddess without them.

So what does she have to tell us about today? Why, the fifth annual feast of Saint Torley! It’s just two days from now, this Sunday. See the press release for details.

Like most residents I’m sure, Torley’s cheerful “Friendly Greetings!” accompanied the videos that taught lelo and me how to get our bearings, do cool stuff, and celebrate our creativity in Second Life.

It says the event is not endorsed by LL or Torley. I’m betting he’ll be too busy blushing furiously to endorse anything ;)

We nearly let the KDC transparent hoods go with the quickie mention you saw last Friday, but Kyrah called, and asked if we wanted to feature them.

The trouble for me was, I was concerned they might be seen as just another color of the same thing. 

I mentioned mesh colorable items like the cool Elegance boots as a coming thing - residents may not be mad about buying colors of an outfit if too many one-click-to-infinite-color items came out.

Kyrah listened closely. It’s gratifying to talk to someone who’s actually interested and not just looking to refute an argument. She pointed out an important difference between a tinted item and an original-color texture: the white highlights get tinted.

This makes a muted, much less interesting colored item. It’s fine for a quickie, color-coordination thing, but a good quality colored item will always look better. Even though the untrained eye may not consciously realize the difference, there will be the feeling that it’s “nicer” somehow.

So I agree with Kyrah: the Lorelei hoods are a different item, one that required a lot of work, and is worth sharing with you.

But since we ran the Lycia hoods barely three weeks back and already gave you a peek at Lorelei’s face last week, let's just say, it's out, it's cool, and it's worth seeing.

KDC - New Hoods Sneak Peek

Kyrah (of KDC) had some trouble with her pc, but was able to repair it (the little hamster needed a shot of Red Bull, I think) and all is now well.

It did slow her down a bit, but she was able to show some preview pics of her upcoming transparent latex hoods.

They look good, and with her usual thoroughness, will be available in varying thicknesses (I read that as tint), to accomodate skin tones, along with zip, no zip, pony- and pig-tail openings.

KDC - Lycia Hood

Another same-day-as-the-release post, this is the brand-spanking-new KDC Lycia hood - and not “lycra”, as I first misread ;)

When I asked Kyrah what colors it came in, she was lazy and said “the 15 KDC colors?”, so I decided to go the extra mile and show them all. We’re good that way, here at SLFF.

The Lycia, then, is a seamed-and-glued look hood. It looks as good as the Revo suit it matches, with the same nice authentic touch.

I usually think of bits and bridles when I think KDC, but as lelo reminded me, the basic black latex catsuit she lives in comes from Kyrah.

So if you want to stand out in fun latex colors like Sweet Blue or Olive, KDC’s the shop :)

Well i hope that’s enough lelo’s for a while. *winks* We just had to show you all of Kyrah’s lovely colors.

The hood looks simple, but don’t be fooled it takes a lot of work to make something look as simple as this.

As you can see the hood is available in all 15 KDC colors and perfectly match her revo suits, completing the line for us rubber dolls.

You get 6 versions of the hood in the fun unfolding box, plain and zippered and with single or double ponytail holes.

Kyrah recommends the “genius” ponytail from Tuty, though most others should work as well.

KDC - PonyPlay Rubber Bit

Another zero-day release .. look at me, all leet and hackerish ;) Hot off the pony bit press, this is the KDC PonyPlay Rubber Bit.

If like myself, you’re lucky enough to have a magic rubber pony, I’m sure she’ll appreciate the rubber bit instead of harsh metal between her teeth as she jumps. Ouch!

The straps have nice leather textures with stitching and prim rivets, and the metal parts are incredibly detailed.

The bit goes admirably with the bridle we showed you in June, so if you want your pony to look great and be seriously restrained, give KDC a look.

Someone must have been good, two toys in a row, looks like i’ll be bound all weekend, Woohoo. *winks*

But let's take a look at Kyrah’s latest creation, as she promised a while back she’s back doing pony gear, which is good news for me, half of my pony outfit is KDC, the other half is MB btw.

Quality is excellent as you might expect from KDC, the bit and metal parts are mesh and seems Kyrah can do mesh she can.

Kyrah keeps using her TouchBound system to keep stuff simple, not going into that discussion again, only say i like it and who has time to work your way through 20 layers of menus to leash someone.

Fitting it is also kept easy, just stretch to fit, easy as that, the bit senses the before mentioned bridle and connect to it automatically.

The supplied HUD lets you adjust the color of the metal and leather to fit your personal preference.

Need i go on or are you already on your way to buy it... *smiles*

KDC - PonyPlay Bridle

A beautiful new bridle from KDC, called simply PonyPlay Bridle.

It’s brand new; the post date on Kyrah’s blog is yesterday :)

As lelo is usually covered in tack, I shot the first picture “naked”, that is, just with the bridle over her catsuit.

The colors are for demonstration purposes; I don’t recommend you actually set your bridle to pink and purple ;)

The second pic will give you a good idea of the bridle worn by pony in full gear - acquired from various sources, obviously.

It’s been awhile since Kyrah made something for pony play, but she is back with this great looking bridle.

I’ve been wearing her original bridle for years now and i still love it to bits.

The new one does look better and with the simplicity of the touchbound system makes it way easier to control.

The bridle comes with a color change HUD that lets you change the color of the other, inner and contrast colors of the leather as well as the color of the metal parts.

This first version comes with a first add-on, the blinkers and just like with the touchbound system it’s simplicity itself to ad them, just point and klick.

According to Kyrah’s blog more add-ons are on the way.. can’t wait to see what she will add...

KDC - RevoSuit

There’s a new catsuit in town, and boy, is it detailed :) Introducing the RevoSuit, by KDC.

Short of standing in a latex shower (better left to erotica stories), latex is made of rectangular pieces, assembled together to cover the body.

Seams and zippers are therefore inevitable, and the very cool thought Kyrah apparently had (my ESP is sketchy at best, I bought it at a surplus store) was, let’s make SL catsuits more authentic by adding said inevitable parts. It’s not a bug, it’s a feature!

There are base and metal zippers, depending how much you want them to stand out. Front, rear, shoulder entry, in all layers.

And if that’s not enough, separate gloves and stockings (called Misc Parts) so you can mix and match as I did in the second pic. Nothing changes a color catsuit quite as much as black gloves and stockings.

I’m wearing black and lelo baby pink in the first pic; then I have sblue and lelo has olive.

As the boxes contain lots and lots of folders, make sure you click them and use the supplied unpack script rather than doing the usual open.

Kyrah has been working hard the last 2 months making an all new latex texture, the first one we have seen in a while.

She improved the latex texture quite a bit, making the shine look more realistic, adding realistic seams and folds and adding figure enhancing shadows. *smiles*

The suits are offered in 3 different ways, the basic version gives you the catsuit with color matched front to back zipper, in all layers.

The premium edition adds metal zippers, back to front and shoulder entry and the always fun breast zippers.

Finally there is the complete package offering you all the colors (black, blue, bpink, brown, green, lblue, lgreen, olive, orange, pink, purple, red and sblue) in the premium edition and giving you a nice discount of 25%, always a good thing.

On another happy note, Kyrah lowered the prices on quite a few of her older latex products.

KDC - Paw Mittens

Some heavy leather restraints for a change : these are the KDC Paw Mittens.

Those thick leather pads should convey a good bondage feeling to your pet.

The leather textures and seams look great, and this is a great example of using mesh and prims together to best effect.

Mesh and alpha means these are not suited to v1 users; as more and more cool toys start using the new features, it will become harder to hold back.

The second pic shows the back of the paw, and the inside part with toe pads.. just so you don’t go thinking lelo sprained something really badly, those are two pictures ;)

Here’s another mesh product from our friends at KDC, waves at Kyrah.

These mittens feature a lot of the things i love about KDC’s products.

First there is the great quality of the design, just that a look at the stitching on them.

Then there is her leather textures, especially the orthopedic, shown in the close up is one of the best i’ve seen in SL yet.

You get a choice of 10 colors for the glove and strap and 7 colors for the metal parts.

Finally there is the TouchBound locking system, arguably the most intuitive locking system in SL. i love it, just point and lock, you can’t get it any easier.

Ohh and when you get your paws, take some time to unpack them, the opening of the package is another little work of art... enjoy..

The KDC laminated cuffs are a lovely and impressive looking bit of gear.

These heavy metal restraints will send the bondage bunny in your life in an extatic fit just looking at them - just have a gag handy to smother the squeals when they actually put them on ;)

I kept lelo simmering for some minutes (eh, in bondage.. she didn’t mind) while I scratched my head and tried to remember where I had seen a similar layered metal look.

I did eventually find it : Martin’s Rigid Cuffs is the store. As the esteemed Martin is a better maker than photographer, here’s a sample of his art seen from the side.. you know, that actually *shows* his design.

Kyrah has ankle cuffs as well, so if you like bondage bunny squeals, you know what to do ;)

Her new products are in mesh, so if you haven’t switched yet, take the plunge, the water is fine.

The cuffs come with Kyrah’s wonderful touchbound lock system, touch and lock, easy as can be.

The mesh makes for a great looking cuff that won’t break the bank prim wise, just 9 prims per cuff.

If the touch bound system confuses you, you might want to take a look at her excellent product guides.

So if you are looking to expand your restraints into the mesh realm and you want the, in my humble opinion, easiest locking system in SL, then get these.

Ohh and did we say they look amazing?? well they do... *smiles*

KDC - Kokoro Maids Uniform

Lelo had a fun idea for this week : a special on maid uniforms.

It led to some interesting shopping and we met some neat people along the way; I think this is not a bad way to discover Second Life.

Lelo will do most of the describing and details, so let me start with Bound Maid Manor, which we found in our travels.

The Manor offers a 10-level training program for maids, including lots of RLV bondage and servitude. Detailed notecards explain the duties and rules applying to maids who join.

This is no naughty-maid sex play; the uniforms are expected to cover everything at all times.

Which brings me to KDC’s Kokoro. Any less naughty than that and you have to start thinking about nuns habits and burlap ;)

It’s a classic and I see no reason it can’t be around for many years to come.

To kick off our maids week, an oldie but goodie.

I think this uniform has been around longer then most of us, but in my humble opinion it’s still one of the best in SL.

It’s a good combination of cloth layer and prim clothing, and one of the few where the SL skirt works, giving the feel of loads of petticoats.

Just love the way the prim parts bring the skirt to life, especially the splash of red from the bow makes this one pop.

There are two caps included so that they don’t interfere with your hair, very smart and considerate.

Take some time to adjust the prims to your AV. Kyrah builds to Japanese sizes, so it took me a few minutes to get everything to fit just right, but it was worth it.

Just add some good shoes and you can start your dusting.

Ohh one little tip, there is no underwear included and the skirt leaves quite a bit of peeking room, so better beware.
