PixelFashion - Kaina Boots

We saw the Kaina boots worn at Domme a Domme, and we headed to PixelFashion for a closer look.

We heard from Deesselle Destiny, the PixelFashion bloggers group admin, that Amandine Arai hasn’t been online for some time - we wish Amandine well, as we’ve received no replies from contact attempts with her or Ono Zinner, her partner.

That said, the boots looked good so we thought we’d share them with you. The demo includes all colors in the HUD so you can get a good idea whether you’ll love them or not.

The foot shape and heel are more to my taste than to lelo’s; more fashion than outrageously fetish, let’s say.

The boots are in different parts, each colorable separately; the colors are good but the tints are mostly dark - a bit more light would have been good in some, at least.

There is materials at work - and fitted mesh! - as the shine and texture clearly show. This is a thoroughly modern boot, and a design of excellent quality.

There are limited color packs - something that I believe should be a thing of the past. The color packs are 550L$ but the fatpack is 1100L$, making it a bit steep in my opinion.

Real Restraints - Body Harness

Deirdre:

Marine’s latest release is a classic, O-ring and leather Body Harness. Simple name, nice and clean product.

Part of the harness is fitted mesh: the vertical strap below the middle ring, to be precise.

The rest is non-rigged mesh, fairly easy to adjust. In fact, Marine gives detailed instructions on adjusting your harness one strap at a time. (That will produce a better fit than you see in our pics - our very short production time, sadly, will do that.)

There’s a ton of goodies in the harness, including a leash handle giver. There were a few small bugs in early releases - if you have them, read the details here and fiddle if you like, or simply visit one of Marine’s updaters.

Our colleague (or esteemed competition, if you like) Aria Warden did a nicely detailed review, as she usually does. Do visit her blog and have a look!

Miss RLV, Marine Kelley, for those who have been living in a dark dungeon for the last years, has come out with a new harness.

Coming from Marine you are assured of the usual RLV abilities and follows the script layout we have come to know for years now.

The new features are that the harness is making use of the latest fitted mesh for part of the harness.

This part works great, adjusting the standard rigged parts to it takes a bit more work, Marine has chosen this way of working to give you the ability to adjust the upper part to lolas or tight corsets.

The second new feature is the fact that you can adjust tint and the pattern on the harness.

There are 35 preset colors, but you also get the option to enter the RGB code of your own favorite color.

With pattern you can add seams, studs or text to you harness, always with the option to interchange the background and text color.

So in all a very nice harness that should match any outfit you have, just plan some time to adjust it perfectly to your body.

Hyperion Creation - Sharon 1.5

Hyperion Creations Sharon is a serious heel and serious platform slingback shoe :)

I admit I was not really stunned when I saw the vendor pics at Hyperion on our first visit, but seeing the shoes worn did in fact convince me to feature them.

Right out of the box, you get a lot of good textures, including some very clever “socks” to match the built-in foot skin to your own - first time I see those, but I’m more of a boot person, the astute reader will have noticed ;)

The shoes are sized in a way I also haven’t seen: to match up with your legs properly, versions of the shoe are included to match different leg muscle settings. Pick the right one and the foot matches your leg perfectly.

I particularly liked the red pvc (shown in our first pic) as I consider these more “fun” than “fetish” shoes. But lelo correctly reminded me that some people are probably absolutely crazy about this style.

As the other two texture packs (sold separately) are so varied, we did our animated GIF trick again to give you a sampling - enjoy :)

We already showed you the dollarbies by Gaelleminois at Hyperion Creations and it’s high time we showed you her main creations, her shoes.

The look of her shoes is pretty good with a wicked angle for the foot, deadly spike heels and a platform that will make you rise above the crowd.

All in all more then enough to make these shoes desirable but the the form is only half the story, the included HUD’s make these shoes very special.

Two HUD’s give you 22 textures to play with, which can be used on almost all of the surfaces of the shoes, there are also skin and stocking textures.

A third HUD lets you play with the colors, shine, glow and sound of the shoes.

Still not enough? Gaelle also sells two extra texture packs, one for clear textures for you stripper types and the second she calls the funny pack.

And some of those are pretty funny indeed: how about tartan with a marble sole or urban camo for the ghetto warriors.

Great shoes, even better texture possibilities, just beware that you’ll be switching HUDs quite a bit.

KDC - Classic Leather Posture Collar

Deirdre:

Kyrah’s blog was hinting that the Classic Leather Posture Collar was getting near, and sure enough, she released it this morning. I pounced and burned my fingers as it’s so hot off the press ;)

This is a staple of RL BDSM, and it is as powerful a symbol as you can get, so Kyrah gave it the full treatment.

Thick leather, big rivets, lockable roller buckle with metal-reinforced holes, riveted ring post - this collar screams “slave wear” loud and clear.

I took the liberty of snagging one of her pics, an “early normal mapping preview” because the shine  looks like someone lovingly applied several coats of mink oil to the leather :)

That said, Kyrah took pity on us poor late adopters and the collar’s texture looks absolutely stunning even in our tired old viewer.

I’ll quote Kyrah for a bit : “NOTE: this product uses a delivery box system and can be bought as a gift and distributed freely (no copy/transfer), it only becomes no copy/no transfer when the gift box is unpacked.”

You’re smart, you can take a hint ;)

Kyrah has been at it again and built us a brand new, exquisite leather posture collar, that looks good enough to eat.. or wear… *winks*

As before the collar does what a collar should do, it locks and secures your neck, putting you in a somewhat awkward posture, hence the name.

Some might not agree, but i love that in Kyrah’s designs, no RL collar can control your speech, you use a gag for that, and that’s Kyrah’s thinking as well, keeping the scripting clean.

The one thing you can also do with the collar is chain your wrist cuffs to it, using KDC’s TouchBound system: touch the side of the collar you want to chain to and touch the cuff next and you are bound.

Simple and elegant, just like the included color HUD that gives you a choice of 8 colors for the outside, stitching, inside and border of the collar.

The metal items on the collar, like the big ring on the front, get a choice of 7 metallic colors.

So go get it, i know you want to add this to your KDC collection… *smiles*

Lady Anne’s Latex Emporium - White Hot Leathers and Beautiful Savage Harness

Some really amazing bike leathers from Lady Anne for me tonight - lelo’s a little less covered up in her harness.

Astute regular readers (and as I like to say, there is no other kind) will recognize that Anne’s flame-decorated bolero is similar to the lovely Big City Girl outfit we showed you in DeVicious’ mad rush to Christmas :)

But the amazing cutout, flame-layered bottom pants are pure Anne. The white flames are original too, a little less brash than the standard orange.

The back of the jacket sports a cool skull-and-crossbones pattern with the motto “Biker Chicks Don’t Ride Bitch”, ie, passenger. You own your bike, and you ride it :)

The clothes-layer waistcoat vest completes the look. Boots are included, as well as big aviator shades which I skipped here.

As we were about to start our post, Anne gave us a call and we got a first-class tour of her store, which we hadn’t visited in ages.

I recommend you give it a peek, she added tons of new content - including a section with lots of kinky clothes and toys for men, something we just don’t see a lot of in SL.

Seems she likes to see me naked, well almost naked, everything is kinda covered up, but i’m sure you won’t be allowed to wear this on a PG sim.

The name Beautiful Savage Harness, covers the outfit but is longer than the outfit itself. *winks*

The harness is good old clothes layer, so no fitting issues with them, on size fits all.

Sugar - Laced Leather Pants and Kink Top

I must admit I dropped the ball a little on Sugar, and I apologize to her. In October, we ran into her at Rubber Room, and started yakking.

She gave me these beautiful Lo-Rise Tied Up Leather Pants - Silver Eyelets (the full name) to look at, and I thanked her nicely, then forgot to unpack them. Silly Deirdre!

Here we are, months later, we visit her store and see all this gorgeous work she’s been doing with our old friend Fyre Furse - well, better late than never, here we are.

The top, from the Kink set, is a detailed short-sleeved leather shirt with a large cutout I’d call keyhole.. if your key is the size of a frisbee ;) There’s a tiny mini skirt in Kink, not worn here.

Detailed leather texture, sneams, snaps and straps make this top a really good match for the pants. Kink is available in black, pink and white.

The long laces really catch the eye on the pants, and the excellent folds and waist, knee and ankles make this some of the best mesh leather pants I’ve seen. I like how they go really long, but you’ll need ankle boots with these.

I used my usual long-pants trick: Bax ankle boots without the leg part, and they look made for times like this.

Though the thing that caught Mistress’s eye was the leather and you should know Mistress by now - she can spot new leather a sim away.

Domina’s Duo - Glance Overknee Leather Boots

Hot off the mesh press, we’re pleased to present the Glance Overknee leather boots by Domina’s Duo.

These are Tawny and Gina’s first laceup boots, and they look very good.

They feature the fashionable current platform look, a sleek tight shape (look at the ankles!) and almond-shape pointed toe.

Great folds and highlights starting at the front make these boots really stand out. No black on black here!

Tawny didn’t even wait for me to ask.. she said, “tell lelo a ballet version is coming in January” ;)

Just in time for the holiday season, Tawny and Gina at Domina’s Duo bring us their Christmas gift for 2013, lovely leather overknee boots.

The leather texture is a bit rough, but that way you can see it’s leather even without zooming in with your nose on the boots, not that we all would mind doing that. *smiles*

There are 7 sizes for the boots, so should fit most in SL, i’m in the biggest size, but then i do have pony legs. *winks*

The boots come with a HUD that lets you personalize them to your personal taste and needs.

You can select one of 24 preset color combinations, but you can also set the colors of all parts separately, using a color scale or rgb settings.

The boots are copy so you can save every option you make for yourself, and when you mess up a pair there is a nice little reset button in the HUD.

So better make some extra room under the christmas tree, these boots come in a big box.

DeVicious - Big City Girl and Memories

Deirdre:

We stopped by DeVicious again, just to see that gorgeous board fill up.

The visual impact is a lot stronger than simply thinking, hm, 17 outfits at 99L$ or free. Not that the words don’t have a lot of impact by themselves, but you know what I mean.

I was impressed at how many of the outfits are free. 99L$ or 69L$ won’t break the bank, but free is pretty darn awesome.

Tonight, I’m wearing Big City Girl, an ultra-fashionable capri pants and bolero jacket combo.

It was love at first sight, and the red just jumped out at me so I’m not showing you the other nine colors. The clever HUDs (two of them!) let you change the jacket, belt and pants color independently.

Included in the box are the excellent spiky Glow booties (we showed them to you in April), but I knew my Bax ankle boots would look awesome with this outfit, so voila.

Tell your friends to go, pick up everything, and tell their friends. The best Christmas gift you can give them is what we give you every day - good information ;)

On the 12th day of Christmas my good friend Steph made for me 20 lovely mesh dresses… *smiles*

Christmas is drawing nearer and nearer and the board keeps filling up with lovely little gems like the Memories dress i’m wearing here.

As before the dress comes in 5 sizes and 3 versions; default, shiny and leather. I’m wearing the leather version here, in a Large, i am a big boned girl. *winks*

The Vega boots come in black and white and 3 sizes, so they should fit most.

Keep an eye on Devicious, that calendar is filling up nicely and with prices ranging from 0 to 99L$, it’s always worth the tip, even if it’s only to see all the people go by.

Immerschoen - Jaydee and Donna

Deirdre:

Another walk down memory lane - we hadn’t featured Immerschoen in ages. Too many good stores!

I’m wearing Jaydee, a nearly-full outfit (just add footwear) and lelo’s wearing Donna, a clothes-layer outfit.

Jaydee includes a mesh leather jacket and pants. You’ll have to decide if you want tight waist or realistic legs, but you can’t have both. Eh, look like a supermodel for once, it won’t kill you :)

The jacket is good, with a simple shape and great leather texture: seams, folds, and not too much black.

The clothes layer bustier top adds a feminine touch to a tough biker chick look. Fingerless gloves and tats bring you right back to tough, though ;)

This is a good outfit if you like the biker look, and the price is quite decent. If you like the red and black combo, their MarySue outfit is the reverse: red jacket and black bustier.

Another round of latex tonight, this time from the Vienna based Immerschoen, in the form of a sexy, black, of course, catsuit.

The contents of the folder is pretty basic, just pants, jacket and gloves that give you the complete catsuit.

Used to be that you needed the the outfit in all layers, but with that lovely little add button that’s all in the past, a good thing for our inventories i would say.

As an extra you get a tattoo in a tattoo layer, which works great filling the big cleavage of the catsuit.

Have a look at the new catsuits Nici has produced, this is the least sexy of the bunch, we do have our rating to consider. *winks*

Alessandra - Leather Pants

We hadn’t stopped by Alessandra’s store in ages, it seemed to me. There are definitely a few more palms and things in the front yard ;)

We found some good leather inside: I’m wearing the Beltless Leather Pants, and lelo has a belted, laceup thigh version.

My belt-less ones are really low-rise, and sport a very good dull leather shine and not too many folds.

They’re pants-layer only, so you’ll want to shorten them if you want to wear them with boots.

Colors in the fatpack are black, brown, burgundy, olive and ruby; good colors, but I found that I have nothing matching them in my wardrobe. I rarely regret owning too much black, but this was one of those times.

I thought the brown in particular was just the right tint. You could build a great cowgirl outfit around those pants. Or barefoot hippie chick ;)

The great thing about cloth layer clothes is the fact that you don’t have any fitting to do, remember that? *winks*

If you like more than 2 of these colors the fat pack is for you as it offers all colors for the price of 2,5 pants.

Kcreations - Carmen Mistress Dress

A gorgeous long dress from Kcreations tonight, in the style that Crazy Outfits sells, and Heike made famous ;)

Kat drops by to chat with us when she has time (*and* she’s awake, we’re on at an inconvenient time for her) and she tells us about the tools she uses to make realistic reflections on her textures.

I listen, and nod, and wish I knew more about those things. She knows, so maybe that’s good enough.

The result of her painstaking work this time, aside from the obvious great dress, is an authentic-looking zipper down the back of the leather texture.

As usual, she sells her work at about a third of what I’d expect to pay. I sure hope she makes it up on volume. Show Kat some love, hm? ;)

Kat has been playing with mesh again and we are left with a long long dress, a lovely long long dress i may add.

In the lovely little bag, which looks better than some of the outfits we find, you’ll get the dress in 5 sizes, an alpha layer, the textures of both the lower and upper alpha and a HUD.

Kat made the alpha a bit short so you have legs going into the dress, but if you have pony calves like i have, you’ll have to wear a bigger size. *blushes*

The HUD gives you the possibility to not only change the color of your dress but you can also select if you want it in leather, like Mistress is wearing or latex worn by yours truly.

The dress suffers the same problem as every long dress in SL, so be careful which AO you use and where you sit.

Still at this price with all these colors in two materials… how can your wardrobe live without it. *winks*

Ponka - Valkyrie Boots

We have a few ways to keep track of the stores we love. (While we’d love to sit here and get cool new designs rain down on us from on high so we could take our pick, the fact is that most posts you see in our blog are the result of a good bit of detective work.)

One of the aforementioned ways is to keep an eye on our designers’ blogs. Sure enough, a peek at Beponka’s blog this weekend showed us that she has hopped on the Phat Azz wagon (fans take note!). It also showed us the beautiful Valkyrie boots.

Valkyrie are rigged mesh with a clever leather folds texture. I particularly like the area around the back of the knee - very nice work there.

The foot shape is a very current platform and extreme heel look. I want to say hidden platform for the shape, but the line is clearly defined, so yes and no.

The boots are not expensive if you get one color at a time, and the fatpack is a decent deal, but I am getting spoiled by mesh color-changer HUD’s lately.

Beponka just recently re-worked her store, and the new look is very clean and modern. Do drop by and see her new lines - she’s not just a latex maker anymore :)

Some lovely mesh boots tonight, made by Beponka at Ponka Designs.

The boots come in 5 sizes and run a bit small, so better check the demo before you buy.

Beponka has gone for an extra level of difficulty by letting your legs show through laces on the back of the boots, great effect but it does make fitting a little bit harder.

Great upside of this way of working is that you can see for instance the nylons you are wearing or at least bits of a tattoo you have on your legs.

The boots come in black carbon, black leather, black satin, brown leather, pink leather, rainbow, red leather and white leather, something for everyone i would think.

I'm wearing the black carbon in the first picture, must be the first time it see carbon used for boots, i love the look and they should go great with a Graves outfit.

 

There is also a fat pack available, don’t get confused by the fun striped boot in the line up, it’s the fatpack.. *smiles*

Lady Anne's Latex Emporium - Temptress and Petulant Princess

Some cool new releases from Lady Anne tonight - I’m wearing Temptress, and lelo is modeling Petulant Princess.

Temptress is an all-clothes-layer outfit, not a prim part in the box.

The leather texture is decent, with seams and a few good buckles.

Long leather gloves are included, and footless leather stockings. Hey, I had leather leg warmers in the eighties, so leather stockings are not that implausible, ok? :)

Temptress is really inexpensive; that’s one of Anne’s creations great virtues. You can fill a shopping cart at her store for very little.

Add some good boots and you have a decent basic fetish outfit for peanuts. Virtual peanuts! ;)

I’m wearing, well a lot actually, Petulant Princess, all collected and put together by Anne from Lady Anne’s Latex Emporium.

As with all of Anne’s outfits is a collection of a lot of parts, making one lovely and very cheap outfit.

This one is made up of: 7 cloth parts, including the hood in tattoo layer, so yes that’s lelo you see under the mask. *winks*

Then there are the boots, ok so no mesh, but they do work with the rest of the outfit and just 2 years ago we would be amazed by them.

You’ll also get assorted ruffles, sleeves and skirt giving the outfit it’s own royal look, the included pigtails in black and white add to the total look.

Finally there is a posture collar that gets lost in the ruffles, a lovely leash holder and a rather loud riding crop.

Not sure why she gave this outfit to me, well it is latex and has a corset but me petulant? Never! *huffs and stomps away*

Restrained Freedom - Mesh Hood

You know how we love hot off the press here.. well the Restrained Freedom Mesh Hood is going on sale tomorrow - how’s that for hot? ;)

I called Katie yesterday and said hi, what’s new? She said not much, except for that hood I’m releasing soon… she’s such a dear ;)

This versatile mesh hood has six shapes included - they might very well have been six different products. Throw in the straps, the gags, the ears… I’d hate to count all the permutations!

The long manual is definitely worth reading; this toy will keep you busy for hours just trying variations :)

Lelo does a good job of touching most of the features, so I’ll just mention the renamer in the gag, which will prefix everything you say, and the smart emoter, which will garble only the text you emote, and not the actual emote verb.

If you like variety in your bondage hoods, this toy is definitely for you.

Toy time tonight, this time by the girl that needs to be restrained so she’ll slow down once in awhile, Katie Paine from Restrained Freedom. *winks*

Next to the hood being all meshy, it’s full of all kind of goodies you might expect from a bondage bunny like Katie.

Just the keys access part takes 3 pages in the considerable manual, there are main keys, master keys, emergency keys and a so called ice key.

That last one is very interesting and the first time i think i’ve seen one in SL, it gives someone control over your key for a set time, great for a play around bondage bunny.

There are 6 hood types included in this on, i’m wearing the monk and maiden version here, next to that you can add a panel or ball gag, earmuffs and a blindfold.

Next to that you can change the color and texture of the separate hood parts, add the fun ears on top of it, select a laced or zippered style and have your hair stick out of the back of the hood.

As you might expect from a Restraint Freedom toy, it comes with every possible RLV option you can imagine and you do see that Katie lives in RLV. *smiles*

So get your hood and get restrained… this one should keep you busy for a while.

Kcreations - Skirt and Shirt Set

Another cool and sexy mesh creation by KCreations, the Skirt and Shirt set is, as Kat says, “casual, fun and yet sexy at the same time.”

The t-shirts have some of Kat’s quirky and kinky style messages like “My boots are down there - get licking” … which you just gotta love :)

This is a nice outfit for occasions where out-and-out dungeon wear won’t quite work.

Not that most residents will have a stroke when they see a leather catsuit, but I do remember visiting an art exhibit with lelo a long while back and having nothing to wear but fet gear - we did stand out :)

The set is astonishingly inexpensive, so stop by Kat’s store and pick it up before everyone else does.

They both are all meshy and come in 5 sizes and 3 versions, Advanced Lighting Model in latex and leather and the normal versions for everyone stuck in Firestorm. *winks*

As you might expect from a Kcreation outfit you’ll get a nice HUD which lets you change the texture to 32 preset colors in latex or leather.

You can also control the tint and the shine of the texture as well as hide either the shirt or the skirt.

But the fun really starts with the second HUD which gives you a choice of 6 BDSM themed prints for you shirt and with the included texture developer’s kit you can make your own.

Sunshine Technology - Deluxe Mesh Mittens

We got a call from Emma about certain updated mittens - would we be interested in having a peek?

It turns out we certainly would ;)

These are quite an improvement over the previous ST mittens; so much that Emma offers a free update.

You know we don’t usually point to Marketplace, but you should definitely have a peek at the mittens there to appreciate the variety of textures you get.

The mittens look really good, and would suit puppy play as well as general leather bondage. First thing lelo pointed out to me were the cool little padlocks on the inside wrist part. Love that attention to detail :)

An update of a fun little toy we featured some months ago, the mittens from Emma at Sunshine Technology.

We usually don’t feature updates, but this one was too good to let slip by, first as the mitten is now all nice and meshy.

Secondly because of the great update offer that Emma is planning, a free update to the mesh leather mitten for the customers who bought the old version.

And to top that you can upgrade the leather mesh version too the deluxe for around 50 L$, how’s that for a great deal.

All the old RLV goodies are still in place as are the texturing options, though with the deluxe you get a lot more of them.

So go get yours if you haven’t already and if you have the old ones, keep an eye on her store for the update.

Chez Gigi - Raye Black Leather Jacket and Pants

As sometimes happens, a lead to a store let us discover something even more interesting than the original item.

Ann, a regular reader we often chat with at MD, was wearing a red leather jacket with the shine turned waaaay up ;) It looked pretty good, so I asked, and she pointed me to Gigi's.

The store is simply huge. We saw quite a lot of good fashions, including very inexpensive boots, but Raye jumped out at me.

It’s an eighties-style leather outfit, and it reminded me of some of the wilder North Beach Leather designs: it’s very elegant, and a bit over the top :)

The top and pants are mesh, with five sizes included. The XXSmall is the one that fit me best. Three alphas (top only, bottom only, and full body) let you mix and match the parts.

The shine is really gorgeous in front, a bit more muted in the rear. The pants are very long, so you’ll want to give some attention to your footwear, either pumps or ankle boots (I’m wearing Bax with the top part removed here).

So wear your biggest hair, put on some Genesis, and party like it’s 1983 :)

By now you should know what happens when Mistress sees a good piece of leather clothing, yep she’s on it in seconds.

That’s what happened here and before i knew it we were visiting the store, now store is a bit of a big word i would say.

The store filled to the roof and even the outside walls are full of vendors, so finding things is a bit of an adventure.

But between all the confusion you can find quite a few gems like for instance Raye Mistress is showing here.

So got some spare time? Go and explore Gisele’s store, it’s worth it and the prices are pretty affordable, just tell people where you went so you can be found. *winks*
