KL Kiki - MissQ Boots

Deirdre:
Sometimes we’re reminded of designers we featured in the past in the oddest way.

Seeing someone with the Kiki group tag at Mesmerize Dungeon got me curious to drop by the store and see if there was anything new and exciting (or as I usually say, I’ll also take new or exciting).

Well the MissQ boots are both new and exciting :)

They’re excellent sculpties, and although Kristina was worried, with everyone coming out with mesh, I say the shape is a lot more interesting than the medium.

MissQ are great, classic fetish boots that I don’t hesitate to compare to VvB’s. lelo even remarked “this is someone who knows RL boots”.

The heel is very interesting: a close peek reveals that it’s wide when seen from the side, and thin when seen from the rear; almost like the blade... of a stiletto ;)

Cool metal details on the fronts and sides, rear laces that are all subtly different, and a cool ankle strap round out the look.

Excellent boots, which I was glad to find and I’m pleased to share with you, dear readers. Don’t be so shy, Kristina :)

lelo:
Here’s proof that sculpts aren’t dead yet, courtesy of Kristina Deschanel from Kiki.

This is the kind of boots i like, good angle of the foot, high platform, thin heel. Ok, they aren’t ballets but you can’t wear ballets all the time... *winks*

In the folder you will find 4 items, the boots, left and right, the alpha base and finally the shoe base, simple and easy.

Clicking the boots gives you the menu that lets you adjust the size of them and the sound levels they produce when walking.

I had to adjust the boots just a bit as they were riding a bit low compared to the alpha, not a real task.

The boots are available in black, black/red, pink, red and white. Better get them before everyone starts wearing them.

KL Kiki - Shy Ballet Boots

Deirdre
It’s been ages since we dropped by Kiki’s.. and sure enough, we saw someone wearing the new ballets, and were reminded.

Anyone with the idea that we’re going about this with method and order... well, thanks for the vote of confidence, we’re trying, but Chaos is strong ;)

The Shy boots are a recent release, and they look good. The prims are detailed, and some of the tiny ones are smaller than I thought was possible.

The shape of the boot is great, the shine is good, just enough, not too much. The shape of the sole and heel are a big improvement over the old model we reviewed - that’s always a pleasure to see.

Those are not the cheapest boots we’ve seen, but you get good value : excellent design, and a lot of menu features and poses.

By the way - post #600 today, yay us!

lelo
Yep, ballets again.. and again and again until we have done them all..*Muhaha*

Ok, back to Kristina’s little gems, the prim work is very detailed, give the heels and metal sole-plate a good look.

The texturing is kept simple, just the right color and using the standard shine option, which in this case works perfectly. They are available in red, pink, white and black.

In the box you’ll find two versions, one for V1 and the other for V2 all labeled so there can’t be any confusion.

The menu shows that Kristina owns a BDSM club as the options here are very well suited for that lifestyle, offering a owners menu, poses and control functions. Best of which is the come function, making you run to your owner.

Great looking boots with a little extra, what more can you want?

KL Kiki - BettyBoop

Deirdre :
We keep finding wonderful new stores, and there seems to be no end in sight to that particular aspect of Second Life.

KL Kiki have an impressive assortment of toys, aside from the excellent variety of ballet boots.

The Betty Boop model looks really good - the designer visibly understands that you can't make every part of a boot solid black ;)

Excellent design, great texture, cool little details like locks, rings, laces.. lelo loved them on sight.

Do drop by the store and have a peek. They have live models under glass, and an unpacking area for your purchases, for when you can't wait to get home.

And as a little bonus, here's some ballet boot humor - how often do you see that?

lelo:
As you might know by now, i do love to wear ballet-boots, so we are always looking for good ballets.

And there is absolutely no shortage of ballet-boots in SL lately.

When i had just started you had a choice of the Gigi's and the fairlights and for me the fairlights are still the boots to beat in SL.

Well i think Kristina has just done that, they look great, fit well and the thing i truly like it the square toe-box, which makes them really walkable.

Only little drawback is the lack of scripting in them, no lock option or other goodies, but we can always hope *smiles*

You can still lock them with the use of RLV and the right relay, and you can't beat the look of the lacing on these boots.
