Latexia - Opencollar and Freebies

A quick nip by Latexia revealed a nice new booth on the top floor - to be honest, it may have been there a few weeks, we haven’t visited in a while.

The booth says simply “Freebies!”, and sports a wall covered in OpenCollar goodies.

Nice enough, Deirdre, you might say, but is that really worth an entire post?

You know me better than that ;)

There are also four cool boxes, containing in full-perm version :

- All the K9 Creations puppy play items
- A RLV ponygirl kit (new to us, that is we haven’t reviewed it)
- The original SexGen base for making animated beds
- and the Dari’s Haus full box of scripted bondage toys

So if you want inexpensive toys to use as-is or fiddle with and make cool new things, I think you should visit Latexia.

Think Kink PetWorks - PetPod

You know how we love “hot off the press” items. Well Ilana just called me and said “this went on sale five minutes ago”. That’s going to be hard to top ;)

Introducing PetPod, and the related-but-not-included PetitePod, for carrying your petite avatar-slaves around.

The carrier itself looks darn authentic; I live near a vet clinic, and I see quite a few in use. It’s big enough for lelo, even with her fluffy Hybridz rubber skunk tail.

The sounds are very good - Ilana pointed them out and I played them : open door, snap padlock, pet scratching at the door. Fun!

The scripting is Think Kink’s usual excellent quality. The pod is compatible with Xcite! and Sensations, has RLV, timers, sings, dances and makes coffee ;)

Ok, just about a month ago we told you about the reorganisation at Think Kink and here is the first new product.

As with all Think Kink products you get the easy to use PerfectPose system, so you just have to adjust your pose in the carrier once.

The poses are very good, especially the panic and sleep anim’s are fun and show an eye for detail.

There is quite a choice of colors for the PetPod: baby blue, baby pink, banana, beige, grape, grey, lime , melon and orange, the baby pink matches my outfit almost perfectly, but the beige looks the most realistic.

Only thing missing is the option to carry your pet around in the pod, though using edit to push it around does work.

DS Tech - Rubber Puppy

We got a call from Taenil Auxifur, the general manager of DS Tech, inviting us to visit the store and review their new Rubber Puppy avatar.

Taenil is a friend of Aria Warden, our fellow blogger (and new friend) at Restrained Reviews, so it was with pleasure that we accepted the invitation.

The DS Tech Rubber Puppy takes root in Alexie Birman’s K9 gear, which she open-sourced when she closed shop two years ago.

That said, some serious work is added to the original package. While the original was an ear and muzzle set, the DS Tech head is a full hood, with only eye slits.

This is intended to reflect the reduced view the puppy gets through a detailed puppy-play HUD.

The detailed owner’s manual is a must-read to understand some of the unique features of this avatar.

One striking example is the word command system : the puppy learns verbal commands which, once learned, unlock extra features.

This is a new item, and features and accessories are being developed as we speak. DS Tech is definitely a store to keep an eye on.

Ok it’s high time we did some puppy play again, so Taenil’s call came just in time.

The outfit looks good, even if it’s a bit black on black, but as usual the real beauty comes from within.

And within means the scripting this time, the owner has two forms of control, the usual collar click commands, including the usual lock, timer and leash stuff, but also some play things like toys and treats.

The second way is the more “normal” way : by voice commands, and here the fun and in-depth role playing starts, you have to train the pup to understand human, which will take some time so better prepare for that.

At first the pup will only get meaningless periods and comma’s, but over time 20 commands can be taught to the pup.

The pup itself has a rather amazing HUD to control it’s contact with the outside world, it can bark, sniff, emote... all with a simple touch of a HUD button.

The pup also has to work on it’s stamina or the eyelids in the HUD will close after some playtime, which only a good sleep can restore.

This is one of the most realistic puppy simulators i’ve seen yet. Be warned, this is full immersion puppy play.

Ohh and you will love to hear that more additions to the world of the DS Tech puppy is on it’s way, happy playing.

KDC - Paw Mittens

Some heavy leather restraints for a change : these are the KDC Paw Mittens.

Those thick leather pads should convey a good bondage feeling to your pet.

The leather textures and seams look great, and this is a great example of using mesh and prims together to best effect.

Mesh and alpha means these are not suited to v1 users; as more and more cool toys start using the new features, it will become harder to hold back.

The second pic shows the back of the paw, and the inside part with toe pads.. just so you don’t go thinking lelo sprained something really badly, those are two pictures ;)

Here’s another mesh product from our friends at KDC, waves at Kyrah.

These mittens feature a lot of the things i love about KDC’s products.

First there is the great quality of the design, just that a look at the stitching on them.

Then there is her leather textures, especially the orthopedic, shown in the close up is one of the best i’ve seen in SL yet.

You get a choice of 10 colors for the glove and strap and 7 colors for the metal parts.

Finally there is the TouchBound locking system, arguably the most intuitive locking system in SL. i love it, just point and lock, you can’t get it any easier.

Ohh and when you get your paws, take some time to unpack them, the opening of the package is another little work of art... enjoy..

Kinky Comic

No pony post this week, but no sweat : here’s a puppy strip!

This is a recent page from http://collar6.com/, a fetish and BDSM comic.

It’s been running for quite a while, so if you start at page 1, you have a lot of reading ahead of you.

This black and white strip is a break from the main storyline, in a lighter, non-preachy tone.

HybridZ - Submissionz Bitchsuit - Spotted Fur

HybridZ always surprises us with something out of the ordinary.. the Bitchsuit is no different.

You might be familiar with the art of a fellow who signs “The Veterinarian”... if he didn’t invent the bent-knees and bent-elbows bitch suit, he surely pioneered its use ;)

HybridZ did a great job.. if you can wear that suit and not feel dehumanized, I’ll be pretty surprised.

The dalmatian pattern is not the only one available, but we picked it because the black latex looked a bit too black-on-black in the vendor pic. the bane of prim design in SL.

The suit changes the wearer’s shape and skin, but lelo’s baby blues are pretty distinctive.. and when they gaze at me from that puppy face.. I just want to rub her tummy ;)

Here’s something new from in my book the creators of some of the most extreme AV’s in SL.

You get a complete AV with this kit, you just have to supply the eyes. *winks*

If you want to play more sexual games there is a prim pussy included, i guess doggy style poses should work with this one.

The supplied HUD gives you quick and easy access to the poses in the AO, everything from lay to wash is available.

The suit’s menu gives control over the RLV features, i’m glad to see they kept it simple so your not clicking for hours to set up your pup.

Finally there is a pee option, just in case you are into that, they do try to cover all the bases at HybridZ.

Z. Design - Puppy supplies

Zenga Ling has been making puppygirl (and boy) toys for a long time.

Zenga was not available so we decided to simply tell you about the store without doing our usual evaluation process.

The toys look good, and full puppy kits are not that common - otherwise we would simply move on.

Several interesting new developments were visible at the store : a muzzle with an animated tongue caught lelo’s eye, and a long awaited puppy AO hud grabbed my attention.





The toys are not inexpensive : 700L$ for the full kit, same for the AO.

So drop by, evaluate the toys for yourself (there are lots of demos to see), and maybe drop a line to Zenga telling her that the press is her friend... and she shouldn’t bite the hand that feeds her ;)

No, we had a great time with Jay over the last couple of years, but RL beckons, so we wish her the best of luck.

Lelo and I will continue keeping you informed about cool pony people, places and things.

My sweetie discovered a new pony sim, and we went to investigate : Le Manoir de Sade, which like other sims not exclusively devoted to pony play, nevertheless has an excellent pony (and puppy!) play area.

This is one of the only - if not the only - French pony-related sim we’ve found.

Sade was established in 2008, and a pony attempt was briefly made at the time, but the current pony group has been active for the last three months.

The sim is gorgeous, with lovely stone architecture and landscaping, and a number of fun little nooks to sit and chat.

The puppy area has a fun obstacle course with jumps, tubes, a balance beam.. it looks like quite a challenge.

The pony dressage field has a neat feature we haven’t seen elsewhere : you can select the markings for the figures on the ground with a touch on a sign in the fence.

Ponies train Wednesday and Sunday nights, usually. Angelique Redangel is in charge of the pony training.

Slick - Isolation Hood

We saw this new item at Slick!’s Latexia shop, and it immediately grabbed my eye. Puppy hoods are getting more popular lately and I think they’re pretty attractive.

So a quick call to Mika, and lelo was muffled, encased, deafened, and generally sensory-deprived, in these attractive hoods.

We also got from Mika the main reason these hoods came about : letting a sub focus exclusively on their dominant without distractions. It’s hard to fault such a noble purpose :)

The canine hood is intended for furries (and just to be clear, is a separate purchase) but as I said, I like it a lot so expect to see lelo sporting it when we go out.

The glowy ear-rings give a cool, sci-fi look to the device. The colors are good, allowing you to match non-basic black rubberdolls (we’re traditionalists, what can I say?)

Toy time again tonight and we found you a beauty this time.

The hoods come in a fun little box and fit me directly from the box, which must be a first for a prim hood, wearing a rubber-hood under it does help though. *smiles*

The menu works very nicely, especially the way the buttons change when you select a function makes the whole thing very intuitive.

As you would expect the hood uses RLV for it’s restrictive functions and offers you 4 gag levels, 3 blindfold levels, 2 earplug levels and is reset protected.

For the fashion-conscious bondage doll the hood texture can be changed from rubber to leather or metal and you can select the following colors: black, red, pink, purple, yellow and blue.

Lights on the collar and earpieces give you a quick status of the hood, so you can see why your dolly isn’t listening to you. *winks*

A lovely piece of kit, simple elegantly sculpted and very solidly scripted, but careful who you give control over it.. and you...

Euro Pony (Revisited)

You may remember a while ago I visited the Euro Pony sim, and was impressed with the setup there.

Well, the sim has been redesigned and looks better than ever.

The landscaping has been made more lush and green, and the barn has been upgraded.

Lots of skyways to test your pony's carting skills, and all the usual array of training equipment fill the sim, including a speed cart race track.

New to the sim is a puppy area, complete with a teeter board (see-saw).

Best of all, the stadium is still there, though it has had a lot of the extra prims removed, presumably to reduce lag.

The updated sim looks even more impressive, with a wider range of equipment to keep any pony busy.

If you have not already been there, be sure to take a look, its a great looking stable, well laid out and spacious to boot.

Puppy Gear: K9 Creations

I know, I know, this isn't pony related, but puppy play and pony play have a lot in common.

This week brought with it the sad announcement that Alexie of K9 Creations is closing her store.

There is some good news : she is following in the footsteps of Dari's Haus, and making her entire collection of saleable items available Open Source.

That is, completely FREE. Good news to those with short pockets.

It's always a shame when a designer and creator decides it is time to stop, but a brave and noble gesture to make their stock available for free.

This gives some of those who may want to try puppy play a good excuse to give it a go without having to invest heavily.

Remember, this is a whole stock collection, including the puppy gear (muzzle, paws and tail), kennels, dog runs, dog collars, dog beds, catchers and throwers and wicker beds.

This really is something that should allow many of the puppy curious to finally immerse themselves into a puppy scene and find out if it is for them.

Some die-hard puppies may worry that quality, free items will cause an influx of poor quality puppies to flood the scene : those that don't care enough about the lifestyle, and instead just annoy the more serious puppies.

Whilst this may happen, it also allows potentially more quality puppies too.

I am sure most puppy-friendly sims will make this collection available for free, but if not, feel free to ask at most pony or puppy places, or drop me a notecard in world.

And I want to wish Alexie good luck in whatever venture she takes to next. Thanks for giving us great puppy wear over the past 2 years.

Maison Broceliande - Puppy Fetch Game

So you have a puppy. Maybe she’s wearing K9 gear, and looking terrific.

She follows you around on your leash, and if you found good AO, maybe even curls up at your feet or whatever.

But if you want to *play* with her, here’s a cool toy from Broceliande : The Puppy Fetch Game.

This is one toy that actually goes to the owner rather than the pet.

An included note explains the mechanics, and another gives some rather stern rules for puppy play.

I was able to throw the toys (mouseview, click - dead easy) about 15 meters. Plenty for play, you don’t really want this to turn into a crawling marathon.

The fetching attachment worn by the puppy is transfer but no copy. You get two, which should be fine unless you have a kennel ;)

Ok, this isn’t a new release but we think this is so much fun we just had to show you.

The fetch game is a simple two part system, the owner wears the toy thrower attachment and the puppy wears the fetch attachment.

When the owner throws the stick, bone or ball the item flies across the field and the puppy can chase it.

When you get to the item the fetcher automatically picks it up and places it in the puppies mouth, please remove muzzle before play. *winks*

When the puppy returns to the owner the item is dropped at the feet of the owner, just like a good puppy should.

As you might expect from a MB product the texturing is pretty good.

K9 Creations - Puppy Gear

We’ve been seeing some pretty puppies around SL lately, and I decided to go looking for the gear.

K9 Creations were instantly helpful, and so we present their Puppy Gear tonight.

There is no AO included, but Alexie assures us that one is on its way. Until then, most collars offer a perfectly good crawl animation.

The muzzle is made of shiny black prims, so we used a light grey to show the detail in the second picture.. but lelo makes such a pretty black rubber puppy that I think we found her a new look for fetish events :)

In the kit you’ll find almost everything you see here, we just added a POC skin and of course my collar.

You also get a nice little HUD to control the colors and textures of the gear, so you can adjust it to your own liking.

The items are all copy so you can save a couple of you favorite color combinations.

As you would expect from a modern kit like this all the items are fully RLV compatible and as you can see in the pictures some of the restrictions show on the gear, like the steel muzzle when you are chat restricted.

The RLV options are easily adjusted in the menu and there are 2 pages of options in the muzzle that mostly control chat and IM.

The paws have their own 2 pages of options and these control the touch and travel options. Here you can also control if you leave paw prints.

You get two tails, one of which twitches, but you can switch that on and off by touching it.

Hmm, now where can i find a good water hydrant in SL. *winks*
