Minx Shoe Design: Boots, Sultry Obsession

Best, boots, ever. Mmkay? ;)

Heels : I haven't seen better in nearly 15 months in SL.
Texture : very good.
Extras : Fun details like studs and tie behind the knee.
Sound : Bitchin' heel click.
Price : Well, they ain't cheap, but they're worth every thousand L$ ;) No, I kid. Not that much.
Store : Terrific, we said that before.

More? You bet. Two sizes of prim calves, for us slender types and for the curvier girls.

The boots are copy but not transfer, so you can experiment and not ruin your originals.

I just wish that they were modify. The studs are great, but not for all occasions.

Kayliwulf Kingdom - Latex hood (FetishDoll Skin 1.2K)

I love hoods. A hooded slave is just really sexy to me. There's something about the anonymity that says "slave!" and "sex doll!"... Ahem ;)

When I first saw lelo, she was wearing this hood. Needless to say, I keep her in it a lot of the time. (We joke that our friends won't recognize her without it.)

In Second Life, a hood is a skin, which is to say, a texture applied to the body. The "3D" effect around the eyes is a very well done fake.

Oh, you see a few prim hoods like the bane isolation helmet (we may cover that sometime) but generally, I think it's tricky to get the head shape just right.

I love wearing hoods and i wear them often; mainly this one, which is one of the older designs from Kayliwulf. I have it in 3 colors but favor the black one.

As i use the Kayliwulf skin already, there is no difference between my normal skin and the skin wearing this hood, which also means that my eyes and mouth stay as i'm used to.

This hood is one of the few i have seen in SL where the openings for the eyes and mouth aren't just openings in the texture but are given a real depth.

This care for detail is also seen around the ears, which themselves are simply black but a nice highlight around them gives the illusion of the rubber stretching over them.

The hood is the base of your look: by adding extras like prim head harnesses and gags you add variety.

I had a small issue with this mask when i first bought it : i chose the wrong skin color under the hood.

A simple call to Daphne Goodnight from Kayliwulf and the hood was exchanged no questions asked. Great customer service, as promised.

Sn@OKs : Lady Zora in Latex

I don't know who Lady Zora is, but she has great taste. I saw someone wearing this outfit at Bondage Ranch, and I thought, "Me want!"

So a quick right-click, inspect (oh, come on, we all do it.. it's harmless snooping) revealed it was made by Sn@oks. Search, teleport... but once in the store, finding the outfit took ten minutes.

This was a few months back. As lelo and I returned to the store to have a peek before writing this piece... we searched for the outfit for 10 minutes. Yes, again.

Now, I know good store layout is a challenge. Sn@oks has a lot of outfits. But the place is literally like a maze. All the sections look the same, no signs anywhere, and the grouping by category is a little... mysterious.

I don't think you should find things despite store layout. I think store layout should help you find things.

All that aside, this outfit has some of the best leather textures I've seen. The corset is really eye-catching, the boots are pretty good (except the foot, but you mix and match your favorites there - I use Minx) and the arm and leg straps are fun extras, at a very reasonable price.

The cape caught my eye first, though.. I *love* capes. This one is big and full, and falls like capes should and never do in real life.

A great outfit for any fetish occasion.. except dancing ;) No, just take off the cape, silly.

This Sn@Oks outfit is very sexy without being slutty, the cape gives it a very domme look, though i would recommend wearing it with other boots or as Mistress does it with other prim heels.

Complete it with a whip on your hip and the subs will be laying at your feet. Next to the great looking leather texture the one thing that really makes this outfit is the lovely cape, it's multi layered and has a very good looking collar.

Look on the second level for some nice freebies and a place to camp.

Minx Shoe Designs : Pump, "Sweet As Sin"

Minx shoes and boots have fun names. This pump is called "Sweet As Sin", and it is :)

Excellent heels are a Minx trademark. These folks understand stilettos like few other designers in SL do.

Great design, nice textures giving realistic reflections.. sadly, the nice heel-clicking sounds that come built-in with most Minx boots isn't available in these shoes.

Very good store layout, you will find what you're looking for with one glance at the well-labeled sections.

No opinion on service, I never had any trouble.

Prices are a little high, but for good value, we don't mind... too much ;)

i love the heel design of these pumps, as with most Minx shoes made with great attention to detail, with these pumps Mistress's lovely legs look even longer than they already are.

The shoes are no-trans but Minx offers a gift service where you pay Nikki directly and tell her who you want to send which shoes and she takes care of the rest.

Prancing Harlot Designs : One-Pony Cart

I just love this cart. The best part of pony play, to me, is to be driven around and see the sights with my beloved magic pony, lelo.

We entered the Iron Pony trial with this cart : a cross-simulator endurance race along the Linden roads on the mainland organized by Marissa Akula, of Questionable Virtues.

We went across seriously bumpy country, and never had a hitch.

Simulator crossings can be wild in any vehicle : we bounced, sank in the ground, lelo went invisible.. we still made first place ;)

Linden Route One is another great ride we took in this cart. There is a lot to see in SL, and touring with your pony will give you memories to treasure.

The cart has a simple straight forward design, easy adjustable texture to personalize the look of the cart.

It supports one pony and two riders. Controlling the cart is easy, it uses the normal walking controls and page up/down controls the speed of the cart. Only taking corners takes a little practice; there's a little drift to the outside of the turn.

When we got it, it was a little low for me, making my hooves sink into the ground. A quick call to Alyssa Jessop, the owner and designer of PHD, and within minutes she adjusted the ride height to fit me perfectly.

Great customer service from her and the best was yet to come, a couple of months ago due to a Linden sponsored server hiccup, our beloved cart wouldn't rezz anymore, another call to Alyssa and the cart was replaced no questions asked, she even had the adjusted model still in her inventory and sent that one.

Fairlight balletboots

Best balletboots in SL, personally i love the ankle version, been wearing them for almost a year now, the locking sound still sends shivers down my spine.

A nice extra is the RL feature and that you can copy and color the boots the way you like. A big thumbs up for Fairlight.

Julia Faulkland, the owner, scripter and designer, only makes the boots in a ankle and knee high version. She has a nice looking, locking bondage mitten, which i still have to try personally, and that is all the bondage things she makes, which is a great pity her work looks great.

If you like a nice sci-fi look, the main shop is a thing of beauty.

I never needed help with a fairlight product so i can't tell you about the customer service, the update to version 2 (RL-viewer) was easy and works well.

Kayliwulf Kingdom - Shaved Ice

Kayliwulf Kingdom is one of the largest stores in Second Life, fetish or not.

The owners, Lazarus Luan and Daphne Goodnight, have been pioneering the marketing technique of "give till it hurts" : freebies, parties, fashion shows... it's really hard not to love these folks.

The parties are great fun, and a perfect excuse to wear the new outfits you buy. Laz is an amazing DJ... some of the oddest requests get played ;)

My latest purchase from Kayliwulf is this outfit, FetishDoll X Shaved Ice. Don't let the color put you off : it looks fantastic in sunset or midnight lighting, it totally brings out my tan, and if you want to stand out in a crowd wearing black latex, this is for you.

I love the calf and thigh straps, and my pictures don't do justice to the sculpted prim heel and foot. As with most SL clothes, they look better in movement.

The store has an incredibly wide inventory - to the point of being a little slow. A bit of patience is definitely required, for visiting the store or the parties.

Hi there,

Join us on our journey through the fetish side of Second Life. We'll bring you a daily report of the things we find in SL : the good, the bad and the outright funny.

We'll report from the clubs and events we visit and give you our unbiased opinion of what is happening, and we hope you'll let us know if we miss something!
