I received a message from Etherkye Hansen of Sugar Cube Productions, inviting me to sample his latest additions to the SL pony play community's collection of carts and racing sulkies in particular.

I have to admit, I was taken by surprise after making a habit of regularly searching ponygirls. pony play and the like, to find a place that had slipped by me. Shock! Horror!

After recovering from that shock, and changing into my pony tack, my first task was to take an unnamed brand of cart for a run around a carefully, and wonderfully built test track.

After a run around at full speed, which resulted in several crashes off the wall, and floating in the air on downhill runs, I switched to the new Sugar Cube Productions speedster carts.

Again, an attempted lap at full speed, but this time, with barely a single wall hit. Admittedly, there was still a little floating on the downhill gradient. But I think that is more due to SL limitations of the physics, particularly when at speed.

The steering was smooth and responsive, without the tendency to overdo it that plagues many other carts.

The cart is clearly designed with racing in mind, and is not a comfortable or romantic ride for two.

But as a pony, I enjoyed taking the cart for a run and found it very easy to actually make progress with it.

And the carts even come in a puppy variant for pony-vs-puppy racing.

The puppy version of the cart uses the same scripts, so will handle equally well.

The pony cart also comes in a 2-pony version, allowing one pony to control the steering, the other the speed.

So I bought one for myself - I recommend these carts that much.

Seriously. I shelled out L$500 for the cart, and would advise any racing pony to consider at least a trial.

The carts can be rezzed at the track at Sugar Cube's test track which can be found HERE.

I spoke with Etherkye at length on my visit, and am rather excited by some of the projects in the works. Watch this space for more!

Graves - Viper Catsuit

Welcome to spy school, recruits. I'm your instructor, Deirdre Y. Today you'll be issued your Graves Viper catsuit.

This elegant outfit will allow you to infiltrate, dissimulate, and generally carry out all the necessary spy stuff ... sorry, I don't know enough of the lingo to do the drill-sergeant bit.

This new outfit by Graves is perfect for a spy roleplay, and includes a cool spy briefcase and spy shades.

The outfit has a neat armored look on some parts that looks authentic as heck to my untrained eye.

The belt is a very good fit on me, a rare thing, and comes with or without some super-science glowy capsules.

The prim collar looks like it's part of the outfit - incredibly well made.

Just one thing : don't try to sneak past a fetishist in this outfit... it won't work ;)

A great looking stealth suit by Graves,i just love the texture she has used with this one, reminds me of sharkskin somehow.

All you need to do is add a pair of good looking boots like the BAX boots Mistress is wearing here.

If you don't want a super sleek catsuit there is also a sexy dress version of this outfit.

Which ever you choose you'll be sneaking around SL before you know it....

Places - The Dominion Femdom

We haven't covered a place in ages, and while shopping is good, there *is* Second Life outside of stores.

The Dominion Femdom is such a place - but don't worry, shopaholics, they have a good mall.

We've covered the group and blog in a previous post, but instead of just slapping a "places" tag on an old post, we decided to add more info - including a lovely group gift.

This is where this post started, really : we received a notice from the FEMDOM Group (which is an association of 12 femdom groups including Dominion), about the gift.

It's really quite generous : a bunch of latex pants, corsets, and shoes, in a variety of colors.

Also included : a FEMDOM group spanking paddle, and all the Femdom Magazines to date. Just join the group, and click the sign to receive the gift box.

So, the Dominion : a group of nine islands, some dedicated to the group, some residential, all devoted to female domination.

As we said, a very active group - it's not uncommon to see two or three events in a day.

Fussy inc - Envy Boots

Fussy looks more like a Victorian manor house than a retail store, but that's definitely not a bad thing.

The interior is classy and well laid-out, and the fitting room has drapes that close and a clever mirror.

The boots are made of sculpties, and are quite something to watch appear, all the spheres converting to the shapes, until you have lovely, scrunched leather folds around your ankles.

They have the look of the recent "hidden platform" boots, where the leather covers the platform sole.. pretty trendy :)

A lovely fashion boot that can pinch-hit for an actual fetish boot... and let's face it, there were fashion boots before there were fetish boots ;)

We saw these boots at on of our people watching spots and followed them to a nicely designed store.

A store mostly filled with shoes and boots but there are a few other items there as well.

The boots aren't quite fetish, but i guess for someone with a boot fetish they will do, not naming any names here. *winks*

The little leather lace on the side of the boot looks great, but then i guess i must have been a cat in a former life, things like that just fascinate me. *smiles*

So give the store a look some great shoes and boots you can wear in the more decent parts of SL.

Kayliwulf Kingdom - Latex Cheer Uniform

Rah, rah, rawr! ;) Introducing the Latex Cheer Uniform from Kayliwulf.

Training Accessories

Accessories are not essential for training a pony, but nevertheless, they can be a useful visual aid.

There are countless riding crops to be found in SL. A number of them are free : the Manbeater 2000 or Womanbeater 2000, for example.

I find these a touch clunky and rather useless. Fortunately, there are other options.

Xcite offer the buggy whip which is scripted to interact with an Xcite HUD and fill your chat with green text telling you how aroused a submissive is.

This is not the useful part - unless robotic cyber stimulation is your thing.

The whip includes a second tier of menu, which allows whip crack signals to be sounded.

You can use this to guide your lucky pony. Even blindfolded. Sort of.

Using the standard 1 whip crack to mean go, and 2 to stop, 3 to go left and 4 to go right, you can instruct your pony with some degree of accuracy - if not speed.

If you need to give two commands in quick succession, you may not be able to prevent the pony taking the cart over a cliff edge ;)

Everything else about the buggy whip is great: it looks the part, sounds the part, and makes any trainer feel perfectly in control. It just needs quick whip commands to be perfect.

I know of a certain HUD that costs next to nothing to help with that, but that's for another time.

Hugo's Design - Nomi (black)

This is Nomi, by Hugo's Design, part of the recent new release.

It's a lovely basic outfit, with the famous Hugo's clothes-layer buckles in front and back.

Full-access versions are available for the adventurous, and it can be worn without the pants as a body.

Throw on a few good bits like a jacket and boots, and you can do wonders with this outfit.

Nomi comes in 22 pieces so you'll be busy for a while figuring out which one you like the most.

The texturing is the usual high quality we have gotten used to from Erik.

As usual we don't show the open options, but you better try the different versions in a private place... or ask admittance *winks*

Next to all the tops and bottoms you get a nice pair of latex stockings which have a very good looking top band.

We're in Marquis Magazine 47 : Fetish in Second Life

It's all Elly's fault.

Last October, we were visiting my friend Elly Dagger, sitting on her gorgeous pier and looking at the sea, and out of the blue, she says "Some magazines write about SL.. have you thought about getting published?"

I was struck dumb. No, I hadn't. Like, ever. We do a blog, we have fun in Second Life.. wow. What a thought.

I called a friend who knows the fetish magazine biz, and he suggested Marquis.

I sent Marquis a letter of enquiry, got a friendly and encouraging reply, then sat with lelo to start writing.

We tried to pick spectacular and representative places and outfits, and wondered how to get them in good enough quality for print.

We got the article done, sent it in under deadline, and boom, we got published.

I'm still a bit stunned, honestly. So, here we are, some months later, with an advance copy of Marquis issue 47.

First, I want to encourage you to buy it and keep those fine folks in business - someone has to pay for all the latex polish, after all ;)

Anima Temptation - Dolora Clavis RedPet

We received a very nice call some weeks ago from Diaperedpet Jewell, a faithful reader of our little blog.

Seems she had a number of custom ballet boots made by Adira Aeon, and she wanted to show them to us, and see if we were interested in showing them.

Well, between the holidays and this and that, here they are at last : the Dolora Clavis Pet series.

Pet is an avid shopper, and loves getting custom work done. We'll probably show some of her other unique designs in the future.. stay tuned ;)

Ok, yes, i confess, i just can't let a pair of good looking ballets go by... and yes do own a fair amount of them... still never enough though... *winks*

So let's give these ballets a good look : first thing you'll notice are the belts, two of which close with some nicely crafted buckles, and one closes with a cute little padlock.

The thing i really like about these ballets is the flat toe-box which makes them very walkable.

The ballets are scripted, giving you the option to set the sound level, turn the AO on or off, an AO with a very good beginners ballet waddle, and off course the mandatory RLV locking option.

The colored heel gives these ballets their name, it's a sharp stiletto heel which is red in this case, matching one of Pets many outfits.

And just new 6 new colors have joined the options for these ballets so give them all a look at the store.

Kayliwulf Kingdom - Latex Gothic Vest Suit (Black)

Another delightful men's outfit from Kayliwulf, shown here by our favorite male model, Mr. Seph Ishelwood, who recently put in a serious work week at the Men's Wear Fashion Week.

I think Lazarus has hit on the perfect mix of classy men's wear and latex fetish, and all his recent releases have been hits.

In fact, since we've had a few good men's outfits lately, we've added a men's wear label tonight, and we'll be adding it retroactively to our previous posts.

Maybe it's a failing, but I'm pretty happy with the little talk we gave at Dominion some months back, and I thought hey, it's good enough to keep it handy for anyone who missed it. So, voilà, a link.

To return to the outfit (me so meta!) it's cool, with just enough detail to make it three-dimensional : the hat, bow tie, and black shirt buttons make it come to life.

The matching-colored socks are adorable.. just needs a handkerchief now ;)

The outfit includes: a vest, pants, shoes, a top-hat, a bow-tie, shirt studs and cuff-links plus 16 colors of matched tux shirts and socks.

And is available in all 26 kayliwulf colors and there are two demo colors for just 10 ls.

The shoes are just a shoe base but work surprisingly good this way.

Seph has it easy with his short hairs, no fiddling with the top-hat. *smiles*

A good looking outfit, add a good shape, skin and hair and you'll be sweeping the girls or boys off their feet.

Male Riding Gear

Just to show I'm fair and not totally female oriented in my shopping, you guys can also pick up a few rather nice equestrian outfits for yourselves.

Mako Magellan offers a wonderfully detailed complete set, including I believe a hunting horn. Sadly, not having a need nor the male shapes, I haven't purchased this item.

Included are a traditional English red riding jacket, jodhpurs, boots and the detail is suitable to convince any pony you are the boss.

Weighing in at just under L$1200 for the whole set, though I understand the items are also available as separates for those on a budget.

Alternatively, E Watkins offers riding outfits for men also, and at a bargain price. Textures on the clothing are well put together and certainly create the look.

Riding jackets are L$300, jodhpurs are L$75. The riding boots are L$500 and look great on.

If the perfect English gentleman look is not your style, perhaps looking at some of the western based sims and stores can offer up a wonderful cowboy or ranch style.

There are so many to choose from that it's hard to single just one out, and, requires some more shop hopping to research :)

There is also the cavalry outfit featured a few weeks ago in men's sizes for a little more variety.

If i can find a rich, male volunteer, I will cover these in more detail. Sadly, this is something that isn't in my inventory, nor do I feel it would be prudent to get some.

Whichever look or style you guys go for, there is no reason us girls should get to have all the dress up fun, and jeans and a t-shirt just doesn't do it if you are serious.

So go on, get yourself some special riding gear to train your ponies in. Tell them Jaydana sent you. It wont get a discount, but it might get me a freebie.

Hugo's Design - Lexie (Hard Pink)

Another batch of new outfits from Hugo's Design - just came out today! - and we're featuring Lexie first.

I just had to razz Lexie Jansma a bit about that.. "excuse me, ms famous fashion icon, I-get-outfits-named-after-me" ;)

We offered to do a few updates, since there's a fair bit going on at Hugo's lately : contests, fashion shows, new releases... it's all pretty exciting!

So about this lovely Lexie outfit : shiny, transparent, elegant, and transferable.. lelo has more, but as usual, I'll recommend it as a good start for a nice and naughty outfit.

FJ Design - DMC Extreme (black)

Deirdre:
DMC (or Devil May Care) is one awesome model from a variety of other good boots at FJ.

The straps, chains, buckles, and other assorted bits, are all sculpties - the boots are pretty spectacular to watch as they rez.

The leather texture is gorgeous, and the heel is excellent. I'm tempted to stop there, those are really great boots :)

They come with the nice resize script we're seeing more frequently now. Careful with it, though : a proportional resize for my slim legs means the boots got shorter, too ;)

The overknee part resizes independently of the calf and foot, which I think is pretty smart.

A note card in the boot makes an interesting suggestion : to ease lag around you, you may consider deleting the resize script after you're done with it.

FJ Design has a nice little store with a great selection of boots.

We followed the lead of some other boots we saw at the ranch, but when we saw these boots we were sold.

These boots would be a nightmare to put on with all those belts, one of the perks of SL. *winks*

The little black dress by drawmachine is a great match with these boots, or any other boots for that matter.

We really suggest you give the place a good look, it isn't big but the variation in design is large, something for everyone.

Sintimacy - Asian Catsuit 5.0 Revelation (Red)

Sintimacy is big. Old, well-established.

One day I may get over the fact that I keep discovering stores like that after years in SL, but right now, it still amazes me.

They had a wagonload of good outfits at very reasonable prices when we visited, but this Asian themed one was the one I found the most striking.

The blending of red and black is well done, the shine is subtle.. there's a lot to like here.

The cut-outs are deep and daring - if there's a fan of butt-cleavage in your life, they'll love you in this outfit.

Here is the newest offering from Sintimacy a twist on their best selling Asian catsuit.

With this outfit you get an option for long sleeves like shown here and a strapless version.

The print on the sleeves, and for that matter the pants, is wonderful, i just love those cherry blossoms.

In keeping with the Asian style of the print the texture has a nice silk look.

The catsuit shows a load of cleavage, front and back, i wonder if that's the reason Mistress had me model this one... *winks*

The outfit is on the middle (shirt/pants) layer so you can add underwear and a jacket or corset to jazz this one up, not that it needs it.

Kayliwulf Kingdom - Blue Streak

You could make a case for this outfit being for a showgirl, or a ring mistress with the cool top hat.

Either way, it's called Blue Streak, and it's new from Kayliwulf.

There's a lot of transparent latex, and a little bit of blue.

The back is completely bare, so this is a good time to break out the big hair for modesty ;)

The long laced boots and gloves (with cool prim laces) will help you feel a little less bare.

The #4 heels are in matching blue instead of the contrasting metal we've seen in the past.

The top hat is a slight bit of victoriana left over from the last post but the rest would give an averige victorian an heart attack.

The rest is blue and a streak is about all there is to it. *winks*

I got curious about the name.. Merriam-Webster says the expression dates from 1830, so we're still firmly Victorian there.

It either means something that moves very fast, or a constant stream of words : "Deirdre talked a blue streak" ;)

So if you want to surprise your loved one with a sexy outfit in the bedroom or work as a ring mistress, this is the out fit for you...

Chaps

Hope you all had a great holiday period, and it's not been too bad returning to normal once it's all over.

This week's post is about trainer outfits - and more particularly, chaps.

The old Wild West is a popular environment, and features the equine theme rather prominently.

So why not a few cowboy or cowgirl trainers or owners of ponygirls?

Wonderfully textured, available with two sets of "underpants" in jeans or jodphurs effect.

Some chaps are barely more than a all in one set of garters and stockings, great for sex, but, not so good for working a ranch.

The E Watkins chaps look great, and when worn with the jeans under pants layer, a pair of cowboy boots and a nice checked shirt - all that's missing is a lasso and 10 gallon hat.

And your pony. And maybe some rustlers to round up :)

The best thing about these chaps is, they look great for wearing off the ranch too and are reasonably priced at L$300 a set.

Available in black, blue, red or brown leather these are an essential addition to any ranch owner's wardrobe.

Or, if you are like me and love leather - well they work on that level too.

VvB Stiletto Heels - Slave Doll RLV Ballet Boots

Viktoria works hard at improving her designs. The Slave Doll RLV Ballet Boots are a good example of this.

She's already got excellent prim and texture work going for her, and now she's introducing Restrained Life features to her boots.

So if you like your boots shiny, slender, and controllable by your dominant, this pair is for you.

Some of you might recognize the Slaverina ballet boots we did a while back.

These are based on those but have 2 important extras:

One. they go over the knee where the Slaverina's went to the knee.

Two. they now are RLV enabled, making them a bit harder to remove once locked. *winks*

As usual the quality is very good, only take your time and a good pose stand to adjust them.

As with the old version, this one is also available in a version with out the belts and locks called the Prima Donna.

So lace yourself into these skyscrapers, let your favorite Domme lock you up and enjoy.. *smiles*

Bhadra - Rubber Doll Set

We haven't done a rubberdoll look in a while, so here's Bhadra's Rubber Doll Set.

The prim hood looks great, and the little flashing lights on the sides are a neat touch.

Maybe it makes slaves beep when they back up?

A great menu, full of fun options yet easy to navigate, is included.

Some clever choices were made : you click "color" repeatedly to cycle through the list, for instance.

A good-looking kit for beginner or experienced doll, and the black and white is a nice change from the solid black look.

The complete rubber doll set by Bhadra is 12 piece rubber doll start set.

In the set you'll find a plain white catsuit, a very good looking black corset and a pair of black gloves.

Next to the clothing the set includes a good looking full hood gas-mask with an optional long breathing tube.

The menu on the mask lets you change its color, turn on the smoke and breath sound (please turn it off in public places) and control the "hair".

The platform boots can be locked by clicking on them, first click shows the straps, second click locks them showing the locks and making them click into place.

There is also a rubber pussy string, but we don't show it in our picture to maintain our PG rating.

All items have a Masters note-card, in which you can write the people you want to give control over your toys.

The mask offers the dominant in control some nice functions, including a titler, an IM alarm and a blindfold, all of course RLV compatible.

Add some good cuffs and you are ready to be the doll you want to be....

Coco Designs - BomberJacket (black)

A gorgeous leather jacket I saw someone wearing at Twisted Orchid.. just had to have it.

I'm starting to have more motorcycle jackets than a biker gang ;)

The level of detail is incredible : the prim pockets have realistic seams, the little prim zippers are perfect, the stretch collar, waistband and sleeve are just amazing.

In fact, there are so many prims on this beautiful jacket that the cloth layer jacket is almost unnecessary.

Even the inside of the jacket is detailed, so if a leather fetishist peeks at the jacket instead of looking at your cleavage, he won't be disappointed ;)

I love the white-and-glass look of the store.. clean and classy.

There's a smaller men's section across the hall at the landing zone - I missed it on our first visit! - called Coco Homme.

This was again one of those see it want it jackets.

After a quick inspection, don't you just love that option, we were on our way to the store.

The store is the definition of minimalist design, something we both love, and the layout is easy and quick to understand.

The jacket was quickly found and on the way we saw loads of good looking designs, clothes, shoes, belts... on and on all a good mix of cloth-layer and prims.

Coco has a unique gift-card system, you'll get a hud showing a black card, click on it and you receive your gift, very elegant, but beware don't try it before you give it away or you'll end up with a very nice addition to your wardrobe.

You can find the gift selection to the left from the LM, you'll find a pair of good looking leggings as a demo gift so you can experience the gift getting yourself *winks*

Ohh and when you are there look at what's on the roof, quite amazing, at least we think so.

Kayliwulf Kingdom - Kensington and Chelsea

Happy new year, everyone! Hope you had a good holiday, and you're back all well-rested and bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, like us!

Continuing their string of Victorian-inspired outfits, Kayliwulf presents Kensington and Chelsea.

The severe black and white theme is brightened up by the gold buttons and grommets on the gloves and boots.

And the little hat is adorable ;)

This 16-piece outfit goes well with the other Victorian outfits by Kayliwulf.

This time you get a black pair of thigh-high laced boots with gold trimmings, with matching laced up gloves.

The tux shirt with the little bow-tie and the bling buttons looks great and works very well with the vest corset.

Finally there is a cute little top hat with a nice little bow on it, again making it work with big hair is a bit of a challenge.

So if you want to RP in a Jack the Ripper sim and still wear your beloved latex, give this series a look, you'll love it.
