DEM Renamer

Chloe Constantine is the scripting half at Dark Elf Manufacture. She called me with a cool enough toy, but it’s a little borderline, fetish-wise, so I told her I’d mention it in the Friday post.

The DEM Renamer, then, is a titler, but mostly a renamer. Titler is the more visible aspect, if not the most exciting.

Still, you can have multi-line titles, set colors, and the evil mode lets people around the victim, er, wearer, set the title.

The renamer is the more active part, and requires RLV. Here’s a quick quote from the instruction card:

"At its simplest, it traps your speech and then emits it, but with your assigned name. Give control of the renamer to someone else and they can rename you at will. But, there's more; the renamer can be set to substitute your use of personal references "I, me, my, myself, mine" into your assigned name. It's also possible to add custom word substitutions. The wearer can be blocked from saying words of your choice."

So a fun, restrictive toy for the bondage bunny in your life who needs to feel a little extra control.

Kayliwulf Kingdom - Dots Catsuit

A fun release from Kayliwulf, the Dots Catsuit line will add a bit of color in your wardrobe. A lot of color, if you have the budget: there are 55 different catsuits :)

This is a full catsuit, gloves and stockings included, in most layers except jacket, which is logical - I can’t think of any reason to wear something under a full opaque top.

Bright shine and vibrant colors plus a fun polka-dot pattern, even on the gloves. I don’t know what the inspiration was for this one, but it’s quite neat.

No hood included - I think it would have looked a little *too* funky, like one of those sixties Steve Ditko one-shot superheroes. (“Who is... the Dotster?”)

If you have a Kayliwulf Fetishcard hanging around your inventory collecting dust, I’d say now’s the time to use it :)

Ok, word has it Laz isn’t seeing dots anymore, but i’m sure he was dreaming dots for weeks after doing this project.

So the dots, well for one they are fun to look at and two with all these color options running into someone wearing the same combination will be a tall feat.

The suits come with the usual Kayliwulf shine and what’s not to like about that.

You also get the usual implant applier for your dots catsuit, only thing missing would be a quick dress tattoo layer.

So get your favorite color combination and find a second worn in SL, i dare you.. *winks*

Wrapped In Steel - Chastity Bra

I got a charming call from Reiisha Chau, asking me what the application process for the blog looked like.

We’re small enough that bureaucracy and artery-hardening hasn’t set in yet ;) So she sent us review copies, we had a look, found it good, and decided to share it with you, our esteemed readers.

Reiisha made the Chastity Bra for the best possible reason; she looked around and didn’t find a proper one.

This item is old school; not a sculpty or mesh bit in sight, just prims, cold-forged by ancient digital dwarves in the underground prim mines of Lonely Mountain.

It’s a handsome and detailed bit of gear, and nicely complements most chastity belts.

The bra is fully mod and copy, so if you want a good fit, arm yourself with patience, make a copy, and get forging :)

A new toy maker tonight, Reiisha with her brand new Wrapped in Steel, perfect name for the kind of gear she makes.

Well for now this is it, a lovely metal chastity bra, but Reiisha has plans for lots of shiny lockable toys.

As with the pure prim look, the menu is also simple, but as you know simple is good, it gives you the option to lock the bra, give away the keys and change the shine and color of it.

We won’t make this a new feature but for now WiS can only be found on Marketplace, so that’s where the URL points, show her some Linden love and she promises to get herself a nice little store.

So like Reiisha already noticed there a just a few of these kind of bras in SL and you know you need one. *winks*

Domina’s Duo - Elegance Evolution and Utopia Design - Sirius

We featured Elegance recently, and it’s worth sharing the new Evolution boot with you to show the nice improvement to the shape and texture of the boot.

The ankle folds are in the sculpt and they match the shine to perfection.

I still love the excellent heel and pointy toe, and the folds really add to the boots.

I confirmed with Gina, and the original Elegance line does not have the folds in mesh, only in texture.

This is a more fetishy boot than Bax’s Prestige, to my eye. Latex lovers take note :)

Some lovely new boots from Elisabetta at Utopia@Design, she’s slowly moving away from fetish and moving into fashion.

The Sirius have a good shape, all mesh, i just love her eye for detail, just have a look at the zipper and the stitching.

But shape is just half the story here, the quality of texture she used for these boots is amazing, it has a great leather feel, which you can almost smell.

And then there is the included HUD, which has 3 tabs, first are the presets, giving you 14 gorgeous leather options.

The second, textures, lets you color all the separate parts to your own taste.

The last called options, gives you the fitting pose, the resize and sound options, a very nice easy to use clean HUD.

So looking for a pair of fashionable fetishy boots that will fit most of your outfits? Look no more here they are. *winks*

Harsh - Straitjacket

Dari fans, your patience has been rewarded. After long months of long days, Dari released her awesome straitjacket.

I was lucky enough to get a personal demonstration and I’m just mind-blown. The most important thing to understand is we can’t even scratch the surface of all the features, poses, color options and so on.

The straitjacket is an incredibly detailed piece of mesh art. The straps covering it add authenticity to the look and make every pose instantly clear to the eye.

The poses are carefully thought out, introducing struggles as typing anim and not interfering un-necessarily with AO’s. Want more poses? You can easily add your own.

There’s an Anim-Bot included with the straitjacket, a floating bit of cool s-f goodness that you’d buy separately from anyone else but which Dari just included. It’s a post, a following toy, and it’ll put the poses you drop in it into the SJ for you. (It plays a little tune when rezzed that I won't spoil!)

At the store, pick up demos to find the size that suits you best and buy that one; there's a fat-pack of all the sizes, but I'd say it's mostly useful if you have different shapes.

Phoenix viewer, that dear old clunky thing, doesn't support layering alphas; so here's a PNG you can save then upload to SL, and use to hide your upper body and hands.

Dari has a good bit of support and fitting requests on her hands right now; only natural on a big release like this. I'll suggest giving her a bit of time to breathe if you don't have urgent questions.

So pick one up for yourself and see what five months of hard creative work looks like ;)

Woohoo, Darien finally managed to convince herself that her straitjacket is good enough to sell, and believe me that’s not an easy thing for a perfectionist like her.

So what do we get after 5 months of hard work by Darien, an amazing looking piece of gear that will be a standard piece of every bondage bunnies wardrobe in no time.

As we both still use Phoenix we couldn’t use her new flex HUD and had to resort to the old blue window of options aka the menu.

This gives you access to no less than 14 arm poses, all with their own animations and the option to show or hide the hands in the jacket.

She also added 8 of the most common used BDSM poses for ease of use.

As you might expect you get all the usual locking, owner and leashing options you would expect from a toy like this.

You also get a HUD to change the texture, colors, shine, glow.. well mostly everything on the jacket so it matches your favorite outfit or the uniform colors of the hospital you are staying at.

For now there are 4 textures, from canvas to latex, but Darien has more planned.

So run and get yours today, i kid you not, this is a must have for every bondage bunny out there. Ohh and do try the latex texture with a low shine, it’s yummy. *winks*

AtaMe - Victoria Black V2

Deirdre:

Is “new and improved” the same as new? We’ll leave that one to the linguists. This is Victoria Black version 2 by AtaMe, a re-working of one of Milu’s older outfits.

The result is quite good. Milu says in the notecard:

“Victoria is an already existing line at AtaMe, But the transformation was so huge that it looks almost like another outfit.

I got rid of the system skirt and instead of having a skirt at all I made a sexy tiny shorts version, the texture of the prim skirt was also changed, put some work at making new shines and took off the pasties, replacing it by a hot bra.

The result is a damn sexy latex outfit as you can check for your self at the pictures bellow.

And this is the first of three. Victoria is a line that could be found in Black, Red and a light sugared pink version, but for now only the black one is available.”

That’s called “milking a press release”, kids ;)

We showed you the original version of this outfit ages ago, seems Milu thought is was time to improve it a bit and as we only showed you a picture of it last time, we thought it would be nice to tell you a bit more about it. 

Ok, bad news first, this isn’t a mesh skirt, but i do love these flowy things, can’t take my eyes of the nice flowing movement. *smiles*

In the box you will find stockings, an open and closed top, a tiny slip, a fun hat (which takes a bit to adjust to your hair) and the long skirt.

Like Mistress always says there really is money in making hats with hair included, SL should have more hats. *winks*

House of Alisha - Latex Crowd

Latex Crowd is one of Alisha’s odder creations. If you want to blend in the crowd, she supplies the crowd, and the blending :)

The box contains one latex crowd - to wear, not rez; mine vanished when I rezzed it for a closer look; I imagine it’ll show up in my lost and found soon enough.

In the box, then, you get one crowd, one alpha which hides your body, and one hair piece.

There is a “kneel down” animation, which makes you and your crowd curtsey together. There’s also a go to and follow option - invisible leash!

And if a stately procession is needed, you can change the walk speed.

I don’t figure on using this every day, but I bet you could make people really look twice by walking in somewhere with your posse :)

Alisha seems to be scared of being alone, just join the ball in her stores basement or walk to the top floor and have everyone kneel in front of you.

It’s a silly toy but somehow it does bring a smile to your face and you can’t help to run around, fly and generally do silly things with this one.

So get yourself some rubber company, join the crowd and have fun... *smiles*

Haha Studios - Kinky Transparent Latex and Latex Teddy

Two unusual outfits from Haha Studios tonight, and as they landed in my inbox, I get to model both :)

The first, Kinky Transparent Latex, is a clever idea. Two different transparent catsuits, meant to be worn over a colorable underlayer.

The fun thing is you get all that twice: once as tattoo layer color plus underlayer latex, and once as underlayer color plus shirt and pants latex.

If your viewer doesn’t support tattoo layer, you’ll appreciate this.

The other, Latex Teddy, looks like a surfing wetsuit - if they were made of bubblegum pink latex with contrasting piping :)

I asked Haye about the short legs and sleeves; were there matching gloves or such? No, she said, she just felt like making something that left limbs bare. Mission accomplished, then.

Unusual designs if you want a change from the more common looks; I pretty much guarantee you’ll stand out in a crowd with these!

Haye did send me a few interesting items as well but, well, we found them a bit ..hmm graphic so we’ll skip them, like i said they are interesting so you might want to give her store a look.

I do like the latex texture Haye uses: it has a bit of a marbled look that is especially visual in the Kinky version.

The teddy is the first catsuit i see with, i my mind, cut off pants, but what i’m only happy when every inch of my body is covered in rubber. *smiles*

On the upside it’s a great way to show off your legs and that’s what she was going for.

So like i said give her store a look, she does have her own taste and a lovely twisted mind.

Rosal - Unmei Corset and Neck Corset

More gorgeous mesh goodness from Rosal tonight, this is the new Unmei line of corset and neck corset.

Rosal corsets are just a breeze to fit lately - the non-mesh lines required a bit of care to fit to the body.

Unmei (the name means Destiny) has Japanese elements: an obi bow at the rear, cool silk ropes and tassels, and a cool Kanji character on the front of the corset - the menu lets you pick, you’ll get to learn good Japanese words.

If you note that some of these things are missing on my pics, it’s because they’re hide-able and I did :)

I made the straps black to emphasize them, but that’s only a small sample of all the color options you have with this gorgeous item.

It will require a bit of thought to match Unmei to your wardrobe if you want all the cool extras, but if you simplify, it’ll jazz up a catsuit something remarkable :)

Tsarina has been busy again and seems she took some Japanese inspiration for this one.

The thing i love most about these new mesh corsets is the way you can finally walk, sit, live with a corset in SL.

There are quite a few ways you can personalize these corsets to you personal taste.

First you can hide the obi, character, straps, back plate and back tassels then there is the option to change the character on the front, there are 11 fitting options.

You get 7 preset color textures: white, black, red, turquoise, pink, purple and tan.

You can also use a color picker to adjust the colors of every separate part of the corset, but make a safety copy first in case you mess things up.

Tsarina was kind enough to add a box with all kinds of alpha combinations for us old timers who still live in V2 viewers.

You know the drill, run run buy buy... *winks*

KDC Lorelei Hoods and Saint Torley Day

What would I do without Inara?

While I’m trying on sexy boots and sticking lelo in bondage hoods, she keeps an eye on the world and points out the important stuff I would miss.

Seriously, subscribe to her blog. I have her last 451 posts in my Thunderbird (best RSS reader ever!) and I would be a poorer leather goddess without them.

So what does she have to tell us about today? Why, the fifth annual feast of Saint Torley! It’s just two days from now, this Sunday. See the press release for details.

Like most residents I’m sure, Torley’s cheerful “Friendly Greetings!” accompanied the videos that taught lelo and me how to get our bearings, do cool stuff, and celebrate our creativity in Second Life.

It says the event is not endorsed by LL or Torley. I’m betting he’ll be too busy blushing furiously to endorse anything ;)

We nearly let the KDC transparent hoods go with the quickie mention you saw last Friday, but Kyrah called, and asked if we wanted to feature them.

The trouble for me was, I was concerned they might be seen as just another color of the same thing. 

I mentioned mesh colorable items like the cool Elegance boots as a coming thing - residents may not be mad about buying colors of an outfit if too many one-click-to-infinite-color items came out.

Kyrah listened closely. It’s gratifying to talk to someone who’s actually interested and not just looking to refute an argument. She pointed out an important difference between a tinted item and an original-color texture: the white highlights get tinted.

This makes a muted, much less interesting colored item. It’s fine for a quickie, color-coordination thing, but a good quality colored item will always look better. Even though the untrained eye may not consciously realize the difference, there will be the feeling that it’s “nicer” somehow.

So I agree with Kyrah: the Lorelei hoods are a different item, one that required a lot of work, and is worth sharing with you.

But since we ran the Lycia hoods barely three weeks back and already gave you a peek at Lorelei’s face last week, let's just say, it's out, it's cool, and it's worth seeing.

Sassy - Discipline Dress

We hadn’t visited Sassy! in a few months, and guess was waiting for us right in the door?

A lovely new, shiny little black dress! Well, black or red or blue or pink or white or purple; this is the Discipline Dress, a new release by Sassy!

It’s so new it’s not on the store blog yet. In fact, peeking on said blog, I saw I had missed some mesh goodness - we need to visit Ivy's lovely store more often.

There may be some terribly clever way to wear the upper layers of clothing, like over a fishnet body suit or such, but the little dress stands alone so well that it doesn’t really require it.

I like the detailed shine, including the excellent skirt folds on the front of the prim skirt part.

Add some good heels and gloves if you want that extra fetishy touch, and dance the night away.

In the lovely little bag you get all the layers you want except a tattoo layer, but practically you only need to wear two bits, so no biggy.

You also get the, in my book, mandatory prim skirt insert, that hides the Lindens skirt boeboe. *winks*

This is a short, short dress so better take care in the upcoming autumn weather you are sure to catch a cold in this one.

Still, great looking party dress in some bright colors and with a lovely shine, so how can you go wrong with this one.

LieWen - Half 'n Half Catsuit

Hikari tipped us to a cool little mall called Friends of Rubber, and a peek around gave us a nice new store: Liewen, by Evelyn Stromfield.

We had a look inside, and found this neat and original multi-layer catsuit called Half ‘n Half.

Thanks to clever layering over a fishnet sleeveless suit, you get some fun one leg and one arm contrast. And pasties. ;)

That might be enough for many designers, but not for Evelyn! She also includes six different highlight colors on each catsuit color she sells.

Lady Gaga-style wedge ankle boots complete the outfit.

All included prims come with a resizer script - the maximum size on the boots is pretty spectacular.

We look forward to seeing more original designs at Liewen; we’ll keep you posted.

A new latex designer tonight, Evelyn Stromfield from LieWen has a few innovative catsuits in her shop including this Half 'n Half catsuit.

She makes great use of the clothes layers we get in SL and offers some fun color accents on the base color.

The undershirt layer is used for the pasties that makes this catsuit PGish, in line with last nights post you get more tape matching the accent colors.

Over that you can wear a fishnet catsuit which comes in black and white.

In the pants and jacket layer you get the catsuit and a choice of 6 accent colors.

You will also find color matched gloves, that end in prim belts and a pair of fun looking booties, which aren’t quite fetish but are great dancing shoes.

So get your favorite color and support a new designer, we do need more of those in SL.

Real Restraints - Tape Gag and Blindfold

If you own a black van, Marine’s latest toy is just for you ;) Introducing the Tape Gag and Tape Blindfold, by Real Restraints.

This is a tip from our friend Pet, who is rarely as excited as she was when she called me to tell me about the tape gag - the very day of the release, I’ll add.

So I got curious, and I have to say that I now see what all the commotion was about. This is a pretty cool and original bit of bondage gear!

Of course, my first thought was, let’s see if duct tape will stick to lelo’s latex hood... turns out it sticks just fine.

A fun and inventive toy by the queen of RLV tonight, Marine has found her way into mesh and added her special kind of scripting to it.

In the box you will find two mesh items, the gag and the blindfold, there are also two notes and a LM.

Now for the fun part, the sounds, Marine found some very good sounds when you add or take off layers of tape.

With the growing layers of tape the (RLV) restrictions of the gag and blindfold grow and grow.

Starting at a blurry visioned, whispering sub up to a total deaf mute.

Next to the usual fun timer, owner and other RLV options, there is the option to change the texture on the gag.

There are 3 skin textures, 6 leather textures and the standard duct tape texture, yes it’s duct as in air duct, not duck.

You can manually adjust the coloring to match your skin or favorite outfit.

Now can anyone tell me how I can get this tape off my rubber mask? *winks*

Hugo's Design - Justi

Deirdre:

Justi (the new Hugo outfit) is named after Justy (that is, Justme Unsworth, Hugo’s party manager and general sweetheart).

Justy is often at Rubber Room when we drop in, invariably cheerful and friendly, the life of the party. She couldn’t be with us at the 1000th Post Party but referred us Rikki Scarmon, who did a bang-up job.

Justi the outfit is a versatile folder of parts: the two main versions are suit and body. I’m wearing the suit and lelo the body with the optional garters in our pics.

This is an open crotch outfit, so I dusted off my little self-censorship hearts. The “closed” version offers a crotch strap, which doesn’t quite do enough for non-adult sims.

For a test (not shown), I wore my PoC bikini bottom as underwear under the pants layer suit bottom, and things looked a little more G rated.

A nice outfit with lots of straps and rings, but if Erik makes a Deirdre outfit, I’ll ask for a closed bottom ;)

Ok here’s one of those, “i hope i haven’t forgotten an option” packs from Hugo’s, better stretch your inventory to full screen height.

No less than 40 clothes items in the folder, including 12 tattoo layers.

There are 3 outfit options, body, body with garters and full suit, all open and well, closed as Erik calls it, the little belt doesn’t hide very much.

You also can select if the sheer breast part is in the outfit color or in black, the stockings and gloves offer you the same choice. Though the black isn’t sheer in this case.

I wore the top over the sheer tattoo layer to hide the girls, sorry boys, works great, another great use of the many layers in the Hugo shopping bags.

KDC - New Hoods Sneak Peek

Kyrah (of KDC) had some trouble with her pc, but was able to repair it (the little hamster needed a shot of Red Bull, I think) and all is now well.

It did slow her down a bit, but she was able to show some preview pics of her upcoming transparent latex hoods.

They look good, and with her usual thoroughness, will be available in varying thicknesses (I read that as tint), to accomodate skin tones, along with zip, no zip, pony- and pig-tail openings.

Domina's Duo - Elegance and Seduisance Boots

Deirdre:

A long-time reader tip (thank you Rubberdoll Magic!) led us to Domina’s Duo, and the two excellent designs we’re showing you tonight : the knee-high Elegance, and thigh-high Seduisance mesh boots.

These are original designs by Gina Lurra, not bought and painted sculpts - there’s nothing wrong with those, but we do love to see new creations.

I’m wearing the Elegance Rainbow here; they’re colorable to match any outfit which is giving you trouble (Hugo green and yellow come to mind).

There’s a good assortment of starting colors, and you can fine-tune them by brightness, tint and saturation.

Or, if you want something to do the job quickly, the included notecard suggests using a color picker and links to a pretty good free one

With this, you point to a spot on your outfit you want to match, and enter the red, green and blue values in the Color Pick HUD button, and presto - you have matching boots. Tip : use a pose stand to avoid moving, it'll make picking the right color easier.

The boot shape is terrific, and will be suitable for fashion outfits as well as fetish. The pointed toe is a shape I love, in particular.

Another pair of good looking boots tonight, this time by a, for us, new designer team, Tawny Mirror and Gina Lurra.

The Seduisance boots i’m wearing are mesh as you might have guessed and come in 6 sizes, so they should fit most AV’s in SL.

The leather texture is amazing, as is the look of the zipper in the inside leg.

As usual the mesh works brilliant and the shape looks very realistic with all the natural looking folds.

I just wonder what she would make when she sets her mind to ballet boots, just a suggestion. *winks*

A.I. Toys - Sculpted Handcuff Jewelry

It took me a moment to remember how we got to A.I Toys, but with lelo’s help, I got it: about two weeks back, I got the idea to go peek around Think Kink’s new locations in little malls we don’t know. (An included notecard in a toy - hint hint, designers!)

First mall on the list was Dark Wishes, where we saw a vendor for A.I. Toys, which we followed to the main store.Well, Bare Rose it ain’t, but there’s still a few cool eclectic items in the store.

The little handcuff jewelry set really caught my eye, and before I could blink, lelo had bought it and offered it to me (it’s trans!).

Keen-eyed readers (and I mean stalker level, here) may have noticed that about the only piece of jewelry I wear aside from my wedding band is a necklace with tiny prim hearts.

So what am I wearing here? A necklace with tiny prim handcuffs :) It’s part of a very inexpensive set including handcuff earrings. I love it, and you can look forward to seeing it in future shoots when I forget to take it off ;)

A.I. Toys include a good sexy shape, a RLV tranq gun (I want a RL one!), and this hilarious sign post I couldn’t resist sharing with you, indicating in standard Vienna Convention design that high heel and corsets are mandatory.

Woohoo, i finally managed to get Mistress to wear my cuffs!! *winks*

Ok, so they are jewelry but still it’s a first step.

Just kidding, gladly Mistress isn’t a switch as switches confuse the heck out of me, and i don’t have a dominant bone in my body.

Still, when i saw these i just had to buy them for her, thinking they would look great on her and boy was i right.

The prim work is amazing on these, and i hope she will make some matching real sized ones, would be great to have Domme and sub matching cuffs. *smiles*
