My friends know I call lelo my magic pony because she has so many talents. Well tonight she’s a chauffeur, in a sharp Graves’ uniform called Order.

I think Jackie has this whole fetish/spy/sci-fi world in her head, and every couple of months, we meet one of the characters.

Order is suitable for a courier type: the briefcase is clearly full of scientific and military top secret.. well, secrets ;)

The shirt and tie are optional, and removing them changes the outfit quite drastically.

The cap’s shape is excellent, but the black-on-black makes it show as a lump from all but a very short distance.

Add some boots, a secret mission in enemy territory, and have fun :)

A lovely mesh driver's uniform tonight and i’m sure you already recognized the telltale Graves honeycomb texture.

In the folder you’ll get the blouse in all 3 layers and the panties in 2 layers. A pair of driving gloves complete the supplied cloth layer parts.

The prim parts give you two double arm straps, the collar and tie combo, a smart suitcase and the cap which can be expanded to house a family of 4. *winks*

Which brings us to the mesh dress, which comes in 5 sizes, i’m wearing the largest and had to make my breasts smaller, so better check the demos before you buy.

All in all another great looking bit of Graves kit. Anyone seen my limo, i’m sure i parked it here somewhere... *smiles*

Domina’s Duo - Captivance Ankle Boots

Deirdre:

Some more mesh goodness, these are the Captivance ankle boots by Domina’s Duo.

The sole is a fashionable platform and wicked stiletto heel, colorable in a variety of good tints (including what I swear is Hugo green), and red, which is a texture rather than just a tint.

The ankle strap has a cute and very detailed handcuff (zoom right in to see the keyhole!) and twisted chain.

The resize script is a joy - old boots that used to fit like snowshoes are a thing of the past, but sure aren’t forgotten ;)

The leather texture of the boot is large, and visible from a good distance; but it’s fixed to black, so this is a black boot with color accents. Tawny is smart; if there’s demand, we’ll probably see colored versions.

Excellent boot, very good price. Definitely worth dropping by DD’s :)

Boots tonight, lovely mesh boots by Domina’s Duo, they are making the heels longer with each new model, so hopefully they will make ballets pretty soon. *winks, nudge nudge*

The boots have a simple menu that lets you: resize the boots, move them around, change the look of the platform and belt and control the sound level of the boots.

With the platform button you get a choice of red, hot pink, pink, black, white, brown, blue, violet and green.

You can also set extra brightness and shine, this gives a very slight effect, but that’s good as the boots stay looking “normal”.

Now ladies, you are just a few inches away from ballet boots, time's a wastin... *winks*

Kcreations - Panel Dress

Kat keeps her mesh streak going strong with this gorgeous leather sleeveless dress, called simply Panel Dress. I have to talk to her about jazzing up those names ;)

Kat knows shapes. I always try on mesh without alphas, and the XS fit me 98% out of the box.

Speaking of alphas, she has thoughtfully included the textures, full mod, for us users of older viewers.

Stacking alphas is one feature I look forward to when we let go of Phoenix, on avatar baking release day; but we’re not holding our breath, to say the least.

If the amazing tints you get on your new leather dress from the included HUD aren't enough, an inexpensive Antique Leather Texture Pack is available with four awesome leather textures. I’m wearing the darkest (chocolate!) in our second pic.

A neat mesh dress by the queen of free catsuits, Kat Fetisov, tonight.

The dress comes in 5 sizes and as Mistress already said, the shape is very good, though i did have to lower my breasts for the perfect fit.

The shape is great but that’s not what makes this dress special, the special part are the texture you get with dress.

You can select PVC/latex, leather and there is a antique leather texture pack, each of which come with 32 color textures and a tint and shine option.

But this is not where it ends, there is also a texture developer’s kit, which allows you to make your own textures and she even allows you to sell them, just have your customer buy the dress from her.

Hugo’s Design - Yali Set 1

Here’s Hugo’s latest release, an expanded Yali set, with a little more coverage than the first installment.

While the main part of the first Yali was a body, heavy on the lace, this one is pants and a cap sleeve top.

Oh, it’s all open so you’ll have to wear quite a few bits to be decent, but it does work.

The front zipper is reprised on the gloves, which are shoulder-length in this set.

As with other Hugo series, having them all will give you a ton of mix and match options.

Careful with the yellow - it’s bright! :)

A second installment of the Yali saga by Hugo’s Design tonight and yes it’s just as skimpy as the first one. *winks*

As this is a set you get more parts in the folder, 26 in this case, as usual every layer is included from tattoo to jacket.

I went for the bikini with the stockings and gloves, were Mistress went for the fully clothed version with the capped sleeves and the chaps.

You also can go for a long sleeved version and the mandatory open versions that are always included in the Hugo clothing.

So another addition to your collection of matchable Hugo’s clothing, isn’t that what we all love about Hugo’s Designs, we could fill pages of combinations. *smiles*

Moving Friday

It’s moving Friday in the SL fetish community, if you feel like generalizing from two points - hey, the media do it all the time, but I’m upfront with my data, at least ;)

Think Kink moves to Pirandello Bay, as we hinted two weeks back - but that’s not all.

Serjourn Daxter, our friend and the prime mover behind Freedom Continent, joins the Think Kink and takes over management, marketing, and all non technical aspects, freeing the girls to focus on creating the high tech naughty toys we love.

Dark Elf Manufacturing officially merges with Think Kink, too. They’ve been sharing space forever, this makes things official. Congratulations on all the cool improvements, TK!

The other big move is Latex Station, who changed servers to resolve some issues. The store keeps the same lovely new look (bye bye space station!) and will be finished tomorrow but I got Cindy’s permission to tell you now ;)

SeXy - Fiona and Madonna

Deirdre:

A bit of fishnet goodness tonight, to thumb our noses at Old Man Winter. I’m wearing Fiona, and lelo is wearing Madonna, by Henri Ebbage’s SeXy shop.

Fiona is definitely a reminder of our very early days in SL, where I used to run around in very brief leather and bits of fishnet. I may never forgive the store that sold me the leather freebie set for 600L$ ;)

Fiona is pretty brief, but that’s supplemented by a bunch of fun prim collars and bracelets here and there. You rarely see upper thigh bracelets outside of Second Life, for example.

All prim accessories contain a resize script, which will remind you that it’s removable. Frequently ;)

There were old-style boots included, the same lelo is modeling, but I changed them for my dear old Deviant Design Bliss ankle boots. Bliss are a terrific example of a bought sculpt seriously enhanced by excellent texture work.

So if you’re feeling rebellious, want to attend a Sex Pistols SL band concert, or have conservative parents to shock, Fiona is for you :)

Madonna comes with 18 pieces in the box, not including the ML, note cards and picture of how the outfit will look once worn.

10 of the items are prim, the others are cloth, the prims include fun looking arm straps, cuffs and earrings.

There is also a fun pair of ankle boots, which are pretty good for prims, but by now these have been surpassed by all the mesh goodness in SL.

The underwear layers give you the fishnet base of the outfit, the upper layers give you back a bit of decency. *smiles*

This is a fun little clubbing outfit for a very reasonable price, just add a pair of boots and you can party away like it’s 1984. *winks*

Places - Domme a Domme

Domme a Domme is an old hangout; old is awesome in a world where the average run for a club is 3 months.

It’s busy, too. We saw a very respectable crowd the few times we dropped in, and we’re told it’s not unusual to see 50 visitors at the same time, giving Bondage Ranch a run for its money.

The better part of the crowd seemed to be regulars, which sounds like a good thing to me - you go back to a place you like, right?

D-a-D is a living room-styled club on the ground level, with a few toys here and there. Inara (and Frank Lloyd Wright!) fans will recognize the layout as inspired by Fallingwater.

Lady Anne’s Latex Emporium - Yes Mistress III

While we haven’t run any Lady Anne outfits since Hallowe’en, it doesn’t mean she stopped producing them. But you have to admit the Demoness is hard to top :) 

A nice heavy rubber (and heavy metal!) slave outfit tonight, this is Yes Mistress III. We ran YM I, but skipped II. I’m no good with sequels, apparently.

The locks are part of the outfit, so we’ll risk a rare nipple slip and claim a Janet Jackson-style wardrobe malfunction if anyone complains ;)

Lady Anne is the champ of gathering parts into great, inexpensive kinky outfits.

When she showed us YM III (I love when Anne drops by and shows off her creations and we have a chat!), she was indecently pleased with the hook - well, it *is* fun and naughty.

The O ring harness overlaying the outfit looks great, and just gets a bit overwhelmed by the rest of the black. The straps are mod, so if you want to fiddle with colors for contrast, it might make for interesting options.

A fun full outfit from Lady Anne’s tonight, you just need to add a shape and skin.

The box is pretty full with 19 items, three of which are old favorites by Dari Haus, namely the Ballgag S2, the blindfold and the locking binder S2C. Why try to improve on perfection.

You’ll also get nipple locks, a labia lock and an anal hook, all original Lady Annes.

There are also ankle cuffs, a collar and ear muffs included, all the items are lockable and RLV enabled, so that should give you hours of fun.

In cloth layer you’ll find a tattoo catsuit, riveted string and corset, giving the outfit a bit more appeal.

Finally you will find a pair of chunky boots and the aptly named porno pigtails, didn’t i warn you that the box was pretty full.

KaS - Mesh Catsuit

Smooth. Smooooooth :) KaS’s new mesh catsuit is just a joy to move your eyes over.

KaS is not the loudest advertiser, or the most active Marketplace user. Salid just works quietly, cranking out amazing content at her little store now and then, setting the bar for every other designer... and possibly chuckling to herself ;)

The catsuit is in parts, allowing you a number of good options.. and looking as closely and critically as I can, for the life of me I can’t see the joints. Very cool.

For fun (and experimental and practical reasons, of course) I tried on my black latex Bax Prestige boots over the catsuit, and they fit like a glove.

I’m wearing the Small version, and there are two smaller ones, XS and XXS. If you need smaller, and this is me saying this, someone needs to get you a sammich.

A note for Phoenix users, lelo and I both experienced crashes while editing worn prim clothing with the catsuit on. I’m not enough of a scientist to try it a few more times on purpose, but it sure looks like mesh comes at a price in old viewers.

Some lovely mesh from my favorite corset maker, in SL, Salid from KaS made a great looking all meshy catsuit.

Though as with her mesh dress, this is a catsuit system, giving you quite a few options.

You can select: high and low collar, with or without gloves and bare feet or pumps. Like i said it’s a system. *smiles*

You get 5 sizes and one corset size in separate boxes, try the demo in the store for the right size, but if all fails, Salid also includes a special shape in the box.

You’ll also find a HUD in the box giving you the a choice of 23 textured colors, with a choice of the part you want to color, next to that you can also set the glow.

Latex Station - Lisette

Introducing Latex Station’s latest creation, a shiny shiny latex outfit called Lisette :)

The red version closely matches Bax’s own Venetian red, so adding good footwear to Lisette won’t be a challenge.

Lelo’s wearing the bellybutton-baring short corset, and I have the long.

The clothes-layer lacing texture and zipper are big and easy to see from a distance. I might have liked to see the rows of x’s continue up on the corset, but the smaller ones in the middle work too.

Two layers mean easy mix and match with this outfit. Wear the underwear layer and pile on your favorite accessories, or slip a catsuit under the shirt layer, and Robert est ton oncle, as they say in France. I think ;)

Lisette is a straightforward latex outfit, giving you a top, long pants and long gloves, both the pants and top come in two layers.

The top or corset as Cindy calls it, comes in two lengths, wear the short one if you want to show off your six pack. *winks*

The outfit is available in 3 colors, next to the red and black we are wearing here there is also a purple version.

This is a fun bit of shiny latex which you can wear on your trips through this magical world we call our second home, if only we could do that in real life, especially at these prices.

[H]arsh - Cryptic Mask

There’s a new Dynamic Duo in town, thanks to the amazing Cryptic mask by [H]arsh.

Dari performed her trademark combo of incredibly detailed mesh, stunning textures and brilliant scripting on this little mask.

With my usual tact, I poked a bit of fun at her, screaming “Nightwing!” when I saw it for the first time, but she knows a) I love masks and b) I love her work.

She quite correctly pointed out that everything looks like something else, and we moved on. I want to suggest eye hole shapes and all sorts of cool mask shape ideas to her so we’ll see how much of my input she’ll tolerate ;)

It took me bare moments to adjust the mask to my face. It’s resizeable and reshapeable, so take a safe copy and experiment. I made a really thin wide version, just for fun... first of many, I believe :)

Dari’s selling this awesome little gem for 150L$ - ridiculously low for the quality.

If you were wondering, I dusted off my old Lady Zora outfit to match the mask.. I definitely need more capes.

Tonight we have a quick project by Darien from [H]arsh, i’m sure it must have pained her to rush it to market. *winks*

Still if you know Darien, you know you’ll get a well modeled, well scripted bit of kit and she manages that even with a “simple” mask.

When you click the mask a menu springs to life which gives you all kinds of options to personalize the mask to your own taste and outfit.

First there is the option to set the transparency of your lenses, next you can set the glow of the lenses, 1.0 gives you a heat ray that will put Superman's to shame.

There are also options for textures, color and shine for the lenses, you can make them shine like the sunglasses of a Californian highway patrol officer.

For the mask itself you’ll get 10 quick color textures, or you can make your own color by playing with the RGB settings of the mask, that is if you can’t find a fitting color in the 141 presets.

Fitting the mask is easy, being mesh it stays nicely on the bridge of your nose, though i didn’t have to touch it at all.

So planning a life in Gotham, need a mask for a fun ball or just want to rub a bank, [H]arsh has the mask you’ll need. *smiles*

Hugo’s Design - Yali

Introducing Yali, Hugo’s first release of the year - an attractive combination of lace and brief latex.

We’re both modeling the closed version of the body. Two open versions are included, one designed open and the other zipped open, a clever bit of work :)

Our friend (and fetish bloodhound!) Hikari called us from the Hugo store to mention Yali, even though it’s not ideally suited to her because of her stripes.

Hik is really cool; we just don’t know that many furries who dress up a lot, what to say of wearing latex and other fetishwear.

Yali is a lovely bedroom outfit, simple to throw on (still loving those tattoo layers) and requiring only good heels.

Marketplace Store Sells Copybotted Shapes Of Famous Residents

Thief : one that steals especially stealthily or secretly; also : one who commits theft or larceny

CelebrityRehab sells copybotted shapes of famous SL residents, under their own name - without permission, of course.

(Ironically, he sells them no copy, no mod, no trans.)

If you’re like me, you see all sorts of things wrong with this.

Not only is it using resident’s names without permission, which must be some sort of ToS infraction; but clearly the only way to have laid hands on people’s shapes is by copybotting.

Think about that one for a moment; he has 90 shapes for sale in his store. He had to stalk 90 famous people and stand next to them to copybot their shape; creepy!

There is of course the distinct possibility that they are not the SL-ebrities real shapes; in that case, Grotesque Lyric, an obvious unpaid account alt (all of 64 days old as of this writing) is simply engaging in fraud; well, plus using resident’s names without permission.

I was going to invite every one of you, dear readers, to make an abuse report about this insane usage of Marketplace, but I gave Inara Pey a call and she set me straight.

Oh, I made a support call to the Lab first, but the PFY - I’m mad, and I’m assuming, ok? ;) - immediately called this a “dispute between residents”.

I’m really glad the police don’t treat muggings and home invasions as “disputes between residents”, by the way.

Inara, then, gave me the facts. It’s a DMCA case, and what’s more, the victims (by which I mean the residents whose names and shapes are being abused) can't place a DMCA request; the shape designers are the only ones who can.

So conceivably, every victim must call the designer they got their shape from, get the designer to DMCA the Lindens.. who are then obligated to remove only that one shape per DMCA request, leaving the store open.

The Lab’s IP guidelines mention that celebrities have a “right of publicity”; but somehow I doubt that the fame level of a blogger or famous SL resident is enough to protect them.

A second PFY, when I insisted about resident’s rights to their own names under the Terms of Service, declined to “translate” them for me, as he put it.

Well, I’m mad at the thief, and I decided to shine a bit of light at him, causing him some shame and discomfort if nothing else. As a reminder, here's our 2009 post about intellectual property.

Graves - Elegance

We saw the Elegance dress go by some time back at Graves, and when I tried the demo, I had problems similar to the ones I described with DeVicious’s Dream Evil outfit a while back.

I must now admit, I was wrong, and Steph Catseye was patient enough to help me get things right.

Mesh as it is right now, is made for common body types. When Steph (and others, I’m pretty stubborn so I said no to many others before her) suggested I modify my shape, I was firm. Clothes fit *me*, *I* don’t fit clothes.

Well. There’s theory, and there’s practice. In practice, to be able to wear current-state-of-the-art mesh clothing, you (and I) may have to compromise a little bit.

The change is nearly undetectable, even to hordes of adoring fans who inspect my body every night here - lelo and I have the most thoroughly documented shapes and skins in Second Life, I dare say ;)

With this simple change (a nod to the mighty force of gravity), mesh tops fit me better, and I can now model Jackie’s gorgeous Elegance dress. Yay!

The texture is classic Graves sci-fi hex, which means I can leap out of my dress into a space-catsuit and still be coordinated.

I’ll just mention that this dress will require the most demurely feminine seated pose in your inventory: knees together, ankles together, and don’t fiddle or you’ll see mesh fold itself in the fourth dimension ;)

All the buckles you see me wear are prim extras you can wear to personalize your dress.

Kayliwulf Kingdom - The Reveal

It’s always a pleasure to see a new Kayliwulf release and be able to share it with our readers.

The Reveal is a fun catsuit with huge cutouts. The cutouts are picked up by the big black lines (which would be fairly impossible on RL latex),

The included sandals look good - the heel in the same color as the outfit is a neat detail you don’t see every day.

The catsuit is in underwear and shirt-pant layer, allowing plenty of mix and match options - a transparent catsuit underneath, say.

Woohoo, first latex of the new year and it’s from our old favourite Kayliwulf Kingdom.

The Reveal is a 7 part outfit, available in 3 colors, red, blue and pink, which is based on the new Reveal catsuit and we thought Laz was done with his hole phase. *winks*

For the shoes you get a simple HUD to change the colors of the sandals, all KK skin colors are under presets, for not KK skins you can enter the RGB code or manually adjust the color.

You can also use the HUD to change into latex socks, all KK latex colors can be selected, you can also select the colors for your toenails.

Lazarus has put the lavender and violet version of the catsuit on the gift table in the KK store, should be fun to mix and match those.

Pony Tuesdays at Twisted Orchid

We had a fun surprise tonight, as Kailani Ling made an announcement on the SL Ponygirls Club: Tuesday nights are now Pony themed events at Twisted Orchid.

The Orchid is the oldest still-existing club where lelo and I hung out. Arsheba, the first, went the way of much in SL and moved on.

Well I couldn’t see an announcement like that go by without visiting. Orchid and ponies still have a spot in my heart even though I mostly moved on.

The crowd was good, and while there wasn’t a stampede of ponies, there were quite a few, and much of the rest of the guests were in good-looking fetishwear - I wasn’t the only one in XTC leather :)

Happy New Year - Our Plans for 2013

Hello again, everyone, and happy new year! We hope your holidays were long and restful like ours were.

We had time to plot and scheme and prepare the new year’s project list: it’s long and interesting.

First, the blog remains a daily, as it has been since 2008. It’s still the fun happy project it was when we started.

The Fetish Spot is starting up satisfactorily. We need to let all our designer friends know it’s there, a bit of a long process, but we’re hoping to fill those walls with cheapies for you soon!

Speaking of the Fetish Spot, it’s getting its own page at the right, here -> No, I kid. I mean it’s now in our list of pages at the top right of the blog.

And, we moved to a new spot ;) Our esteemed neighbors at Thunderbird Island asked us to scoot over to let them expand, and out of the kindness and generosity and humility that makes us famous ;) we agreed.

We announced the SL Fetish Fashion Fan Club group a while back; well, it’s going into operation tonight!
