Hugo Party At Latexia Tomorrow

Latexia Space Station, home of the Latex Dolls, sports a nice new dance floor and is getting ready to receive Hugo party hosts for a classic Hugo-sponsored Best in Latex party!

There haven’t been any events at Latexia in a while, so we’re happy to see the Dolls getting back in action.

The party begins Saturday November 30th at 11AM SL time, which works out to 8PM for Europe - you have to guess that most heavy rubber fans are from Over There.

Everyone gets a 250L$ Hugo card, nothing to sneeze at :)

New Page - Fetish Malls

They’re lag fests, sometimes labyrinthine, sometimes clean and easy to navigate. Sometimes they’re around a big store, sometimes they’re just rows of booths.

I’m talking about malls, of course.

A spot in a good mall remains a great way for a Second Life Designer to be seen, and in particular to display their newest items and lure shoppers to their main store.

There are old malls, fixtures of SL that have been around for years and years; Latexia Space Station, say. Others are built around a club, like Venustus mall, or Rubber Room.

Malls need traffic, so they’ll usually be around a big draw, like Bondage Ranch.

Big malls have waiting lists, but small malls will solicit designers, to the point that we often see profiles saying “no mall invitations”.

Events draw people to clubs and to the attached malls, benefitting the stores - smart malls can take advantage of those.

A good mall layout makes it easy to browse quickly and even try things like furniture and poses.

You can spot something unexpected in a mall; Marketplace, in contrast, is for finding something specific. A good mix of content makes an interesting browse.

You can also meet people in malls - that’s where I met lelo, at the Desperation Isle mall, *ahem ahem* years ago ;)

We’re starting a page tonight, listing the fetish malls we know, and we’re sending an invitation to all our readers and friends: tell us about any fetish-themed malls we don’t have in our list.

We’re even making it a contest, with a serious prize - we’ll announce it as soon as we decide what it is. Suggestions welcome.

AtaMe - Lana and Vamp

A nip by Latexia Space Station told us there were some new Atame releases, so we made a beeline for Milu’s nice new store and picked up Lana and Vamp - I’m wearing Lana.

I love sleeveless catsuits, they have a retro feel or je ne sais quoi. And of course long gloves give you that nearly covered up look.

Lana is cut pretty much as far as it goes, both in front and back, to the point that I had to break out my little PG heart.

The contrasting floral pattern on the front is a great touch, drawing the eye in an otherwise fairly simple design.

The shine on the color versions looks good, using tints to avoid a solid mass of color. I wore the orange and pink, and there’s also a black version of Lana.

Mistress is wearing Lana with the extreme decollete’s and i’m wearing Vamp, in which people will love to see you go. *winks*

The outfit is good old fashioned clothes-layer and comes in all layers, including the quick dress tattoo layer.

Amazingly the Lolas applier is included in the set, Milu is breaking with an SL tradition here. *smiles*

You never can have too many catsuits and in SL you can even afford them, lets hope Milu keeps up giving us lovely designs like these.

DeVicious - Revival

Deirdre:

It’s cold in RL, so we’ll save the minidresses for SL ;) This is Revival, a cool minidress from DeVicious.

Steph dived into materials with her usual enthusiasm, so aside from the five HUDs full of cool colors, you have four versions of each dress: one plain, and three in materials textures: floral, leather and spandex.

The included note gives a great explanation of the materials features, in particular leather bump map for texture, and floral print using specular layer for shine.

I really feel I learned something by seeing those examples. You’re encouraged to mix and match, of course.. if your viewer supports materials.

The XS dress fits me like a glove.. a slightly too small glove ;) So I’m wearing size Small here.

Once again, Steph sets the bar high indeed for designers. 50 dresses times four materials.. buying any single-color item is going to be more annoying as time passes, I'd say.

It has been quiet at DeVicious, but seems Steph is back and still producing a small clothes store in every box. *winks*

Once again you get 50 dresses and 2 pairs of boots in this kit and Steph has gone full out with the materials, giving you a standard version, a floral materials, a leather materials and a spandex materials version.

She also includes a materials version for the boots, i really hope firestorm will feature materials soon, the pictures look great.

You can imagine that the folder gets pretty big with all these versions, sizes and not to mention the huds with all the dress options.

Hopefully this means Steph is back and this is the beginning of another great run of lovely clothes, at prices and options that are unmatched in SL so far.

Restrained Freedom - DJ Gag

Deirdre:

A very neat toy by Restrained Freedom tonight, this is the DJ Gag. If it looks familiar, you probably watch Britney videos with one finger on the pause button.

This cool gag is shown for a few seconds around 2:08, sporting the distinctive “b” logo of Beats by Dr. Dre. (Katie’s has her RF logo instead.. fair enough.)

Naughty suggestion of the week : everyone call the store and order a Britney gag, just to make them uncomfortable ;)

The straps have a nylon texture, and shiny rivets anchoring the speakers part solidly. Cool little RF padlocks hold things firmly in place on the sub’s head.

The vendor blurb says materials processing is applied to the speaker grille, and since Firestorm doesn’t let me see that yet so I’ll take Katie’s word. For now. I’ll check in 3 months, Katie! ;)

So, a cool and clever toy by the queen of bondage bunnies, and a fast release - the video premiered in September!

Ok, i’ve heard of using music to silence someone, but here they took it a bit too literal, Katie painstakingly copied the original and added her own special magic to it.

You will find all the usual Restrained Freedom options in this gag, more locking options than you would ever need, renamers, garblers… everything really.

But there are a few things that really stand out with this one, first there is the primary use of this gag, the sound machine, it comes with a dance, music note particles and a sound bite of the original song. This will make you the center of every party, just a pity it can’t stream music.

Then there was a surprising option i haven't seen in SL before, you can uses sign language when wearing this gag, i nearly fell off my chair, this is brilliant, ok there are only 17 words, but that’s more than you would usually be able to utter wearing a gag like this and the most important sign is in it as well “love you”, what more do you need? *smiles*

Now the question is does this portable speaker system have a ipod dock or is it usable for the more generic audio solutions. *winks*

We Actually Received A Group Notice

We actually saw a Fetish Consolidated notice go by today.

(I’m still absolutely stunned by how casually everyone on earth seems to take the fact that notices, a fundamental SL feature, mostly don’t work reliably.)

So. This random notice (from PoC) coming through reminded me to have a peek in the group’s archives.

We saw that Antony Fairport has been hard at work and released The Submission HUD, a cool one-stop HUD for RLV.

We won’t enumerate the HUD functions - just have a peek on Z and A’s blog and see the details and related products.

The PoC notice pointed to this week’s group cheapie, Sylvia, in light pink and black lace.

Places - Genre BDSM Expo

Another Pet tip, Genre is a clever idea: a monthly event featuring the different cultures in SL.

Floating in a cool little snowglobe skybox, vendors offer items created by various designers, in line with the month’s theme.

Prices are capped at 100L$, and items are new and exclusive to the event.

Expos start on the 15th and run for a month or so; perhaps not a lot of time for an event of that sort, but as I now say about these things, I wasn’t consulted ;)

Note givers at the entrance give info about the event, and how to participate.

Pet stocked up (I think she said she bought 10 items!), so take that as an endorsement of sorts ;)

I mentioned hat hair more than once so it’s fun to see someone implement the idea. Everyone buy one and make the designer a millionaire as I predicted, please ;)

Alessandra - Leather Pants

We hadn’t stopped by Alessandra’s store in ages, it seemed to me. There are definitely a few more palms and things in the front yard ;)

We found some good leather inside: I’m wearing the Beltless Leather Pants, and lelo has a belted, laceup thigh version.

My belt-less ones are really low-rise, and sport a very good dull leather shine and not too many folds.

They’re pants-layer only, so you’ll want to shorten them if you want to wear them with boots.

Colors in the fatpack are black, brown, burgundy, olive and ruby; good colors, but I found that I have nothing matching them in my wardrobe. I rarely regret owning too much black, but this was one of those times.

I thought the brown in particular was just the right tint. You could build a great cowgirl outfit around those pants. Or barefoot hippie chick ;)

The great thing about cloth layer clothes is the fact that you don’t have any fitting to do, remember that? *winks*

Evelock - Femdom Hunt Success Story

Deirdre:

We had a feeling that the Femdom Hunt had gone well, but I call Eve when I want the inside track on business in SL - she’s savvy and she likes a good yak as much as I do. :)

Over 1000 people picked up a copy of the gifts she offered during the Hunt - amazing results for *any* promotional activity in SL.

While those visits don’t translate into sales during the event, Eve notes increased traffic and sales since the end of the hunt - seems her strategy of putting out a bunch of new products before the start of the hunt gave the visitors something to see and remember.

Eve also put out a limited-offer cheapie during the hunt, and it sold like hotcakes; showing that the hunters do look around, and will pick up interesting items - more so than lucky chair jumpers, I would guess.

Stay tuned for more hunt gifts in coming weeks. We met some great new people along the way, and I believe our list of stores will get a boost :)

Not quite my specialty, the jewelry i usually wear are called collars and shackles and my ears, well don’t think many have seen them naked. *smiles*

In the set you get earrings, a necklace and a belly button jewel, all in shiny silver and all numberi.

Sesame Street could have a special with these; imagine the Count doing the numbers. *muhahaha*

Still they do look lovely and who knows next time Mistress takes me to a vanilla event i’ll have a opportunity to wear them.

Shoetopia Has Begun!

You have to say that in your head with the Mortal Kombat voice: “It has begun!” ;)

The Shoetopia fair which we mentioned Tuesday is now on, until November 30th.

The double sim layout is absolutely gorgeous - shoe heaven, city-of-angels kind of a theme.

We had a little difficulty coming in - too popular, I guess - and the smart fashionista will wait a few days to let the pixel dust settle before visiting. Proving, sadly, that I am not smart ;)

We know very few of the designers at this fair outside of Bax, and perhaps this will lead to posts about cool new stores - but there’s a good bit of non fetish footwear, so then again, maybe not.

Bax’s booth is introducing her new patent leather boot, and is surprisingly fetishy; corsets and boots and things - I won’t spoil it for you, drop by and see it for yourself.

I remind you that the charity of the event is Soles4Souls, so give generously if you can.

Sado and Maso Fetishes - Tube Leather Dress, Latex Pencil Skirt and Latex Boots

We were hanging out at Mesmerize Dungeon, peoplewatching and yakking about this and that when I remarked to lelo that Nadinelina had a nice shiny skirt I didn’t recognize.

Lelo inspected the skirt to determine the designer, when she walked in! We’re not often that lucky, so I pounced mercilessly and said hello. :)

Minxsam was actually someone we had seen around the hangouts, but I didn’t know she had her own store. We got to talking, and she turned out to be a total dear.

She recently moved her store (so make sure to note the new LM in this post) and she invited us to visit at Blacksilk and see if anything else grabbed us.

We returned the next day and found a large, clean store with big couches out in front - suitable for a chat with 15 of your closest friends - and as we were finding cool things we liked… Minxsam walked in again :)

We got the shiny skirt and gradient boots for lelo; gradients are all the rage this season!

This gorgeous leather minidress caught my eye, so here I am. It’s called Tube Dress Leather, clearly inspired by the Kcreations school of naming items ;)

The texture of the leather is big, nearly croco big, but it’s fun. The highlights are very clever, suggesting lighting from above. The back lacing is great, worthy of a corset.

The sizes on the dress are not bad, but not the standard 5. I’m wearing size 2, which pinches a bit, but size 3 floated a bit. Mesh…

Good quality, very reasonable prices. I definitely recommend SAM.

It’s a happy day for us when we discover a new designer in SL and it’s even better if she turns out to be very nice. *smiles*

Introducing Sado and Maso Fetishes by Minxsam or just Sam Huntress. She offers a pretty eclectic collection of things, and as she puts it, stuff i need and like.

I’m wearing the Latex Pencil Skirt, which comes in 7 sizes so it should fit most, but as with most mesh dresses they do have a hard time with my curves, nothing new there.

The folds and shine of the texture look very good and she offers quite a few more of this type of skirt in her shop, so you better give them a look when you are into dresses like these.


Next to the skirt i’m wearing her boots, which are of simple mesh design, but the thing that really grabbed our attention was the way they fade from red to black and still manage to have a great shine.

The boots come in 4 sizes and i’m fitting perfectly in a size 3 so bigger women should be able to wear these as well.

There is no shoe base included in the set, which isn’t strictly necessary when using alphas but if you want that high heeled feeling, better wear some from your other boots.

So good looking gear from a very nice woman at even nicer prices.. go go go… *winks*

Places - Victoria Academy

During the Femdom Hunt, we came across Victoria Academy and I thought it would be an interesting place to cover.

The faculty was pleasant and helpful, and we got tons of good info from them and the intro cards - from which I’ll steal outrageously to tell you about VA ;)

Victoria Academy - VA for short - is an adult educational establishment open to both male and female students that promotes the use of corporal punishment (spanking/caning/paddling etc...) as a means to impart knowledge and good behaviour on those who attend.

School and spanking roleplay devotees will feel right at home here.

Students are expected to wear the uniform provided and attend classes and/or events when able. Teachers are expected to be able to run at least one group roleplay (lesson) per month as a minimum and contribute to general roleplay outside of this when time permits.

Joining VA is a commitment. There are enough neglected ponies and subs of every other ilk that I believe this is a good thing.

We provide many interesting lessons and clubs and students often attend out of genuine interest rather than simply seeking a spanking.

While the first thing lelo said was “lots of rules, lots of reasons for spankings”, VA does seem devoted to actual learning too.

Victoria Academy isn't...

1) A School/Kindergarten. It is an adult educational establishment. To that end all avatars/students must fulfil the minimum age requirement of 18 years old and must dress and act appropriately.. Child avatars and mid-teens will not be allowed to roleplay on campus or take part in lessons.

I wholeheartedly approve, and in a world where avatars of every shape, size, color, race and description are the norm, the one type that creeps me out is children avatars.

2) A sex sim. Despite being rated as an adult sim, with adult avatars, we ask that any sexual activity/conversations be conducted in IMs and that no such activity take place in open chat or public areas. The campus is not a trawling ground for sexual partners and is monitored closely with any and all complaints acted upon immediately.

That one was a surprise, and it is probably the first adult area where I see such a rule. This being said, if you’re at VA it’s because you want that kind of roleplay, and there are plenty of other sex-ok adult areas.

What can I join VA as?

First off, we suggest you join simply as a visitor and take the time to get to know the campus/people and all that's on offer - a visitor tag gives you full access to all the amenities without having to decide on which role would suit you best. 

Most Dominants apply to be teachers (which allows them to punish students) whilst most submissives apply to be students. 

We also have Prefect and Head of House roles which appeal to Switches as they are allowed to punish students as well as being punished by teachers.

Application forms for all positions are available at the Reception Desk in the Main School Building.

There are rules for students, and rules for teachers. They seem reasonable, and based on experience.

But if you don’t love rules, VA is not for you ;)

Bax Coen Design - Regency Boots Patent Leather

If there’s one thing that’s better than announcing a release early, it’s announcing a Bax release early ;)

These shiny beauties are a patent leather version of the Regency boots we’ve featured before.

While I will always prefer leather, the brighter shine will let those boots match more of our wardrobe.

The gradient on these boots is the reverse of the Hallowe’en version; that is, the foot is colored and the top is dark.

The Patent Regency will be introduced at the upcoming Shoetopia shoe fair, a charity event supporting Soles 4 Souls, a non-profit organization fighting poverty worldwide.

Their current emergency is relief for the typhoon victims in the Philippines.

So attend Shoetopia, give generously, and buy lots of shoes for a good cause. How’s that for win-win?

PS : I’m wearing the lovely PoC outfit from yesterday, in that double-layer combo I mentioned; it looks great and I wanted to share it with you :)

Some lovely new colors will be released for the Recency boots in the Patent leather textures.

Four of them fading from a black top into red, mint, blue and white feet, and five solid colors, namely black, red, pink, baby pink and white.

The menu in the faded boots give you the choice of coloring your heel and sole in either black or the fade-to color.

With the solid colored boots you can change the color of the zipper and the sole of the boot to boot color, white or black.

As before the boots come in 3 sizes, BBW, Plus and Normal, and i still fit into the Normal size, let's hope i still do after Christmas. *winks*

Powers of Creation - Twisting In And Out

Deirdre:

Kai gave me a call last week, and asked me if I wanted to see his latest release. Yeah, no, that didn’t take too long to consider ;)

Presenting Twisting In and Out, a bunch of different outfits in the same box.

Twisting In, Suit has the colored sleeves and the transparent middle, and Twisting Out, Suit, has the colored middle and the transparent sleeves. You can superpose them for fun options since they’re on all clothes layer.

This means you have five items times four versions. I can’t help thinking this is one outfit that would be greatly simplified in tattoo layer… not that putting on a top and a bottom takes a half hour. Eh, call me spoiled.

The body is fun but a bit bare for me. There are no gloves or stockings included in the kit, but if you managed to read this blog for years and you didn’t buy *one* outfit that has long latex gloves and stockings, you’re tough. :)

Something new from the master of the deep deep shine latex, Kai at PoC has been busy again.

Twisting In and Out is a lovely looking combination of PoC’s trademark deep shine latex and his, just as shiny, smoky transparent latex.

You get 4 options, two catsuits with long sleeves and two bodies with short sleeves, the other option is the colored latex and the smoky latex switching places.

You’ll get the outfits in all layers, except for the tattoo layer, so you should be able to combine this with other clothing, though matching other clothes to this will be hard.

Good looking and most of all shiny party outfit from the old master himself, best news, he’s back… *smiles*

No Salvation Club Party is Tonight!

A little reminder that No Salvation is having their party tonight.

The 8 PM SL time is sort of a deal breaker for me, and lelo will be counting bouncy little rubber sheep by then.

Moyet - Corset Dress Multicolor

Deirdre:

Our friend Arsinoë has been away for some months but I stopped by her store and loved the little black dress - well, mesh, multicolor, tons of options little dress so I picked it up.

The HUD turns this dress into a number of possible color combinations- for fun I made a lime green dress with red collar and corset - all possible, not all good ;)

The shape is not based on the five standard sizes we often see in mesh clothing. As a result, I ended up with a pretty generous bust.

The red and black combo suggests Starfleet to me, for some reason. Hey, if you’re not a nerd, what are you doing in SL? ;)

The gloss is pretty spectacular on mesh - lots of curves and reflective surfaces, I guess. My pic is with gloss off, but a pink dress with high gloss looks like pink chrome :)

There are nipple piercings, hidden in my pic, but controlled from the HUD: show-hide, and metal colors.

Aside from being a little short, this is a fun mesh dress for a pretty reasonable price.

The dress comes in 5 sizes, but better get the demo before you buy, we all know how mesh can be.

Next to that you can remove the top and skirt part of the dress, leaving you with a corset.

The removing is done by the included HUD, which also lets you change the color of the separate parts, there are 8 fashionable colors to choose from.

So looking for a job in a starship that will stay unnamed, here’s your sixties inspired, too short dress uniform. *smiles*

Latex Station - Glass Cage

Deirdre:

A new item from Latex Station, this lovely bondage toy is simply called the Glass Cage.

There are two versions, one with the “Latex Station” text etched in the glass, and the other sporting the LS logo.

The poses are good, there are a ton of different colors both for the glass and the frame, which you can multiply by six glass effects (“spatter” is a little ominous) - making a cage that will suit most environments, I’d say.

RLV toys is definitely a new area for Latex Station, but there may be more coming.

Cindy is cooperating with Mija Perfferle, of Deviant and Bizarre, who we featured in August, and it’s possible that we’ll see more but I can’t discuss that yet ;)

A not-inexpensive toy, but it does a lot, looks good, and doesn’t eat up your prim allocation. Bondage bunnies early Christmas gift, perhaps. If they’ve been super good, you understand.

Cindy at Latex Station is branching out into toys with these glass cages and being a smart designer she had Mija Perfferle build her special Latex Station editions.

Getting the Latex Station version makes a lot of sense as this knocks off more than half the original price, not bad for a bit of good looking advertisment.

You would think that a good looking cage like this would eat a lot of prims but due to the magic of mesh it only costs you about 7 prims.

The cage has a trap mode and timer options to work independently of direct supervision, set up in a public place and see what you might catch. *winks*

The look of the cage can be adjusted to match the look of your home, there are no less than 70 glass colors, 4 glass textures and 5 colors for the frame.

The scripting is very solid and easy to understand and you can see that Mija is a bondage bunny, like the way how your options change when you are inside of the cage.

Anima Temptation - Tubes and Dildo Gag

We ran into Adira at the Rubber Room last week - the awesome party we dropped in on was sponsored by her store, Anima Temptation.

She proceeded to cover lelo in bondage toys - usually that’s my job, but since lelo loves those things so much, I couldn’t say no.

Seems Adira has found her way into toys and is leaving her shoes behind, two more inventive little toys by her tonight.

First there are the Tubes, which at first i thought would be some kind of cage, but a vendor pic quickly set me right.

You get 4 Tubes or plugs, two versions for the mouth, a pussy and an anus tube, the last one holds all the scripting, so you’ll always need to wear that one.

The tubes can be opened and closed and hold all the RLV toys you could ever want, but for me the big thing are the included animations that make the wearer of the tubes usable.

There are 10 fully adjustable animations included in the package, suitable for couples and threesomes.

The tubes are easy to resize and color so they should fit anyone and every outfit and better keep your safety key tucked away so you can reset your Tubes in case of emergency.

Secondly we are showing you the brand new Dildo Gag, which just like the Tubes comes with a nice collection of animation so you can put the Gag to good use.
