It must be a slow news day over at the Hollywood Reporter, as they’re calling girls wearing doll makeup “provocative” and “a growing concern”.

How about Lady Gaga wearing weird hats, guys? Is that “potentially dangerous” too? ;)

There have been fun makeup tip videos on YouTube for ages, and the doll look is a neat, entertaining thing - about as dangerous as cosplay, to my mind.

Eh. If it takes that silly spin to get something this cool in the news, I say do it.

Red Devil - Sheer Submission

Everyone loves dolls in rubber hoods (no? inconceivable!) so someone has to make them good outfits to go with said hoods.

Sheer Submission is a neat outfit by Red Devil including ballet boots, lots of latex, a few good prim bits, and not a lot of modesty.

The front cutout makes this an adult-sim outfit; not that you were planning to wear it to the next Linden picnic, but eh ;)

Included alphas let you hide feet (for ballets) or both hands and feet (if you’re also wearing the ball hands).

A fun, good-looking outfit, and a great example of the fine designs at Red Devil. Go for the clothes, go back for the service ;)

Sheer Submission is a lovely doll outfit in a box, offering you a nice collection of cloth and prim items.

You’ll get the Red Devil ballet boots we have shown you before, there are also mits and a fun rubber pony tail, no dolly should be without one.

Only down side is that there aren't any scripts in the prims, good for the sim but you’ll need some other item if you want to lock things up.

You also find two tattoo layer hoods in the pack, i might have mentioned this before but i just love to wear a hood but still see my own skin under it. Ohh and the difference between the two masks? One has a dirty word on it.

In the cloth layer you get the option to wear a sheer insert, as shown here, or go bare chested. You get all the available layers to mix and match.

Fashoes - Sinfull Snake Boots (dirty version)

Deirdre:
Fashoes introduces dirt in our nice clean digital world. But don’t worry, it’s a good thing ;)

The full name of those boots is 107D Sinfull Snake Fashoes (dirty version). They look good, but they get dirty as you walk.

Onoes! ;) You guessed it, there’s a fun built-in boot licking animation to take care of things. Click your right boot (that’s where the menu is) and invite your victim.

The boot is sadly the old style two-part thigh boot that looks funny when you sit, no way around it... except mesh. Hint hint ;)

The boots have a gorgeous black python texture, reprised in the cool chrome snakes here and there, including a nearly microscopic one right on the heels.

The twisted ankle chain is the best example I’ve seen in SL. Cool bangles include padlock and key, heart and snake. Good symbolism :)

Fashoes is Jareth’s new store. New name, same excellent work. Do give her a visit.

e.one - Sinful Latex

We got a call from Bekka Redgrave, and a nice surprise : a blogger pack of her nice new Sinful Latex outfits.

I said, this is a neat opportunity : we’ll let our readers discover a new store, and do a cool little 900-posts-related promo.

900 Posts

Today’s post is is our nine hundredth. Five a week.. 180 weeks? Inconceivable!

We featured latex 353 times, leather 90 times, and jeans twice. We’re nothing if not open-minded. ;)

Our first post, on September 22, 2008, stated our plan … how do you think we did?

We’re still finding new stores.. with the same mixture of pleasure and dismay: “Oh, you’ve been selling latex for four years, and we just found you. Um, hello.”

The good thing is, we’re still having fun shopping, searching, snapping, wearing, (doing free QA for designers... wink wink), snooping, prying, and generally poking our noses everywhere we can.

In short.. we’re still not bored yet ;)

Darkadia Spring 2012 Fetish Art Show

It’s a bit early to mention it, but Darkadia has had such success with the previous exhibitions that they’re hosting a fourth Fetish Art Show.

I say early, because the note I got from Mandy Galileo says it should start May 6th or 20th.

However, if you want to enter, it’s the perfect time to hear about it.

Aside from fetish photography this time, 3D work is welcome. Sculptures, installations.. the word is “Let your imagination run wild”.

The word after that is “Check with us for prim availability” ;)

Art will be set up to be sold, so you can even earn L$ (fame AND fortune!).

Lady Anne's - Corporal Punishment and Judas Priestess

Lady Anne likes uniforms. She likes them black, and spiky, and strict.

I’m wearing the Ministry of Pleasure Corporal Punishment. Discreet, subtle, understated... those are not words you’d be using here ;)

But it’s fun. Dressing for play is all about symbols, and no time for subtlety.

22 parts in the box, with some wild tattoos included (but not worn here).

It was the first time I saw the anti-slip leash holder - it’s linked to a padded, metal reinforced cuff. Your puppy won’t run away, guaranteed.

What else? Classic thigh boots, animated crop, belt, armband with the triskell bdsm logo, and a great garrison cap... not only do you not need anything else, there’s not a room left over for wearing it.

This is a complete outfit for a very low price, only thing i added was my shape and skin, hair is optional as you can see.

There are 19 pieces in the box, 5 cloth layer, 1 alpha layer and 13 prim parts, everything but the kitchen sink.

The boots are far from my usual style, but they have a great leather texture and they are marching boots.

The cuff ear/nose rings with the chain are a fun touch and work well with the cap and glasses.

So when you are planning on BDSM world domination, Lady Anne has your uniforms waiting for you and your troops..

Jaimie Earst Fashion - Erika, Luiza, Elena and Tigra

On our last visit at Jaimie’s, she literally buried us under awesome outfits.

We try to space out posts on the same store, but I feel we actually waited a bit too long on these, so here are four great fetish outfits by Jaimie Earst Fashion.

In the first pic, I’m wearing Erika; the military cap.. well, lelo just said “that one has your name on it, Mistress”. She’s sharp that way.

Erika is a lovely, basic fetish outfit. No frills, no nonsense, just an excellent - and complete! - clothes layer outfit and awesome little ankle boots.

The cap is fully resizable and took mere moments to adjust. The whip is included, and has action and sounds.

The second outfit I’m modeling is Luiza. This is another simple, classy bit of fetishwear you can wear out dancing - well, wherever you like, really. (One day I’m going to Rubber Room in my PoC bikini.)

The flared pant bottoms are extremely clever : they’re prims, built into the boots. We review a lot of clothing here, and it’s the first time I see this done. Brilliant.

Sorry for letting these lovely outfits sit in the drawer.. better late than never, eh?

Tonight i’m wearing Elena and Tigra by Jaimie Earst. Not quite new but still very special and a good buy.

Elena is a great slave outfit and should go great with Erika, the thing i really love about this one is the fact that it doesn’t look like bondage outfit but it surely is one.

The scripts are in the belt, boots and bracelets; and work together, giving you some great binding poses.

As you might expect the usual owner and RLV options are included in the script.

The Tigra is a cool clubbing outfit which gives you flames in 5 colors: black, cyan, gold, pink (as shown in the picture) and silver.

You also get the prim belt that has a simple resize script in the box, the shoes i kept from the Elana outfit. They aren’t included with Tigra, but hey you do get 5 colors in the box.

So if you want a inconspicuous bondage suit or a great party outfit, get your butt over to Jamie's.

Rosal - Updated Tueur and Latex Thigh Boots

Deirdre:
We were people-watching at Mesmerize Dungeon (which is turning into, as lelo put it, “Fetish Ranch”), and our old friend Signal Demina showed up in gorgeous Tueur thigh boots.

I oo’d and aah’d, because we had just heard about them from Tsarina - seems Sig has an inside track at Rosal. I assured her I wasn’t jealous ;)

The boots are new, but that’s not all. It seems Tsarina updated the Tueur corset and neck corset. I imagine it means better scripts, because they looked pretty awesome to begin with.

There is frilly lace all over the things, so if you want to do a Cardinal Richelieu roleplay, you’re set. If you just want to look wicked in strap-covered shiny leather, it comes right off.

If you like color options in your clothes, the Fatpack versions of the Tueur separates give you red, white and black.

The Rosal boots have one of the most elegant foot shapes I’ve seen in SL boots.

Lelo was amazed when she saw the ballet heel was shorter than the platform - hey, for once I’m taller than my doll! (oops. pics say no. darn!)

Tsarina caught the boot bug and made 3 lovely pairs of boots for her Tueur line of corsets.

All 3 boots are thigh high and offer normal heels, platform heels, which Mistress wears and lovely ballets, with me in them. *smiles*

You can get the usual 3 base colors white, red and black in smart color change fatpack, and you can fine tune your colors with the supplied HUD.

The hud is a smart little thing that scans for colorable Rosal objects and lets you pick the one you want to pimp, so one HUD to serve all.

So if you want some great looking boots, that match one of the best looking corsets in SL you know where to look.

Hugo’s Design - Elements

Introducing a clever new line by Hugo’s Design, called simply Elements.

You want to build your own outfit, this is the line you want to look at.

The first parts we have (and there are strong hints that many more are coming) are Bikini, Body, Chaps and Pants.

What you get is excellent latex textures, and not too many frills - buckles were kept to a minimum ;)

The parts are all the same flat price, 125L$. You can put an outfit together of a few Elements for a reasonable price, then accessorize, and Bob, as they say, is your uncle.

All Elements are available in the nine Hugo colors. See Hugo’s blog for more examples.

The shiny pants give you two options, with or without belt, and as usual in all the possible layers.

The bikini looks great with its sharp lines, the little borders around the edges and tiny buckles on the belts.

I’m sure these bottoms will be illegal in most US states, good thing SL is a bit more liberal. *smiles*

Ponybound Sim - Follow-up

We had a lovely chat with Canary Twine, of Ponybound. Following our post of last week, she sent us a notecard with more info about the sim and answered some of our questions.

First, the sim is indeed related to the Ponybound store, and while the development is currently on hold, the products are still available at the store.

Here’s part of the card she gave us :

The sim doesn't have any designated trainers, nor is it designed for structured role-play/events. It is completely centered on low lag training and is “there” to be used by anyone and everyone.

The facilities offered on the sim include:

• Ground Level - For beginners there are steeples, regular slalom, running slalom, barrels, and a wooded carting path.

• Level 1 - For the more adventurous...a show jumping course that promotes accuracy, a flower showmanship track, and a dressage track.

• Level 2 - Here you can find all the carting activities, an innovative carting race track, cart slalom, and cart barrels.

• Level 3 - Advanced steeples and slalom blend. Sky steeples that have a safety net below to catch falling ponies.

• Level 4 - A small store area for pony tack (including the Ponybound latex gear), cuffs, collars, profile photography. It is currently under construction but some products are up.

A maze is also in the works.. stay tuned ;)

The sky steeples is what we chose to snap today, as it’s really spectacular. I tried to walk it - any pony *running* through that course is probably related to Superman.

Pietas Obscurum - Mesharah Boots

Mesharah is a good, Google-friendly name. Not that naming your boots “Thigh Boots” is a bad thing in itself, but they will never be found in search, barring a minor miracle.

I admire unique, simple names. To me, Kayliwulf is the all-time champ, all weight divisions in SL for a store name : simple, unique, unmistakable.

Mesharah is a strong contender for an item name. There’s a city in Iraq with that name, and that’s about it. (Mind you, I had to Google Khanuy Gol, our sim, to find out that it was a volcano in Mongolia!)

These lovely, unique-named mesh thigh boots, then, are wedges with a unique foot shape. They ride a bit low, so I had to raise my avatar (one of the nice Phoenix options, z-modifier) by a few cm.. well, it’s what high heels do, isn’t it? :)

The shine is excellent, particularly on the calves; very good work there. The thigh straps at the top are distinctive, I’ve never seen the like before.

A few good notecards are included, a fitting guide and a good reminder about LOD.

Another set of mesh boots this week, this time a more fashionable option from Pietas Obscurum.

This is one of those products where the box is almost more beautiful as the item itself, well almost. *smiles*

For ease of fitting you get 5 sizes in the box, a Small fits Mistress perfectly and a Large works for my pony thighs, so i’m sure the XL will work for most men.

The bindings on the back of the top of the shaft look great, giving these boots something special.

I also love the folds just above the calves and above the feet, great stuff.

The heel are a bit too fashionable for my taste, but then i’m the girl that wears ballets 24/7.

Ohh and yes they do bend at the knees, sorry can’t get enough of that. *winks*

Think Kink - Ghoulslight and Changes at TK

Deirdre:
Ilana gave me a call yesterday, with some big news about Think Kink : perms on all the TK toys are being switched from no copy + trans to copy + no trans.

Why is this big? Seems many dungeon toys are sold no copy + trans. If you have more than one dungeon, you buy the item multiple times.

To compensate this, copyable items are typically more expensive. This is not going to be the case at Think Kink, I hasten to add. Some pieces are even being reduced to 99L$ and joining a new “value” line.

Switching perms around gives everyone the option to have one toy at the dungeon and a copy at home. And at work. And at the country house. At the beach... ;)

It also protects you from loss : my gorgeous Motor Loon bike frequently vanishes in sim crossings, for example. It usually returns, but not always. As it’s copy + no trans, I don’t have a heart attack when this happens.

New improved low-lag vendors should give you another reason to visit the store ;)

Yes, it is as uncomfortable as it looks, really it is. *rubs her sore butt*

As with most Think Kink toys, you get the Perfect Pose system to give you that perfect fit every time.

Old favorites like the Graboid!, arousal control, access control and timers are also available through the easy menu.

The get button gives you a choice of the help notes, a whip, paddle, dildo, cuffs and the Think Kink RLV relay.

The candles are a nice touch, though they could have gotten better candles that don’t drip as much. i’m glad that wax comes off latex pretty easily. *winks*

And i left the best for last, it’s a free giveaway in the running Supernatural Hunt, so go and follow the leads, it will last till the end of the month.

Kcreations - Ballet Thighboots

Some awesome new mesh ballet thigh boots by Kcreations today.

Kat had a few small difficulties with these boots - and fixed them, she’s good that way - so if you already bought these, see the included note and get them updated.

Aside from the excellent mesh shape, you’ll love the textures included with these boots.

I wore a few Kcreations catsuits here to show how well they match. The included color HUD is a jewel of simplicity and good design.

The big thigh and ankle straps look good even from a distance, and the leather grain looks great from middle to close-up. From a little further, you just see the usual great Kcreations shine.

A detailed notecard gives you a bunch of useful information about the boots, and the hud, including stuff you never knew about mesh; well, I never knew, that is. I look forward to your letters ;)

Seems Kat isn’t done with mesh just yet, she just finished these ballet boots and they are lovely, i must have been a good girl. *winks*

As you would expect the fitting is a piece of cake, i just had to reduce the size of my legs to 43, i do have pony thighs.

Next to the easy color change HUD you can also click the feet to get the play part of the boots.

The menu gives you the option to set the walk restriction from none to a crawling speed severe, Kat put some great anim’s into the boots.

You also can select public or private RLV access, which leads to the locking part of the boots and more fun with the “try and get out of these” game. Where you can try and struggle your way out of the boots.

Not sure though why you would want to, have fun matching these up to your most outlandish outfit and try not to get stuck in them... well... *smiles*

Hugo’s Design - Leva and Kela

Deirdre:
Two lovely outfits from Hugo this week - recent enough if not exactly hot off the press: Leva (moi, in hot pink) and Kela (lelo in purple).

I’m afraid I’m getting addicted to the tattoo layer; one click and you have a full outfit, just add gloves and stockings (and your favorite footwear). Convenient!

Leva is one of those latex-doesn’t-do-that-in-RL outfits, but it’s our good luck :) The nice combination of sheer catsuit (with huge cutouts) and harness looks good.

The gloves and stockings are the same pink as the harness, and wearing them or not gives quite a different look to the outfit (see our second pic for the without).

There’s an open version (not shown) which does away with the bikini, leaving only harness and catsuit.

Note that the closed version is not that closed - I’ll start selling little prim censorship hearts outside Hugo’s one of these days ;)

Ok, it’s official, Erik is a workaholic and there is no stopping him, really there isn’t he’ll just keep on going and making us more and more sexy latex.

On a personal note, yes, that’s Mistress in pink, don’t worry all is well, i checked, no fever so all is good. *winks*

Kela comes, as usual, in all layers and gives you the option of an open, nope sorry, and a closed version.

You also can choose if you want to wear the outfit with or with-out garters, and these garters look big enough to hold up 2cm thick rubber stockings.

Better get over to Hugo’s quickly, these have been around for the better part of a week and the next new thing should be right around the corner.

Wild PonyGirls Valley Farm and Ponybound

We blinked, and Freedom got a new sim ;)

Well, almost. The Wild Ponygirls moved to the Farthest Shore. The sim looks really spectacular, with intricate cart tracks I can’t easily do justice to in one pic.

Things are still getting built - a move is a big deal. But there’s already sky platforms for cart racing and steeple being put up.

A lovely, lushly green addition to the Freedom Continent - hey, maybe the pony taxi will resume!

We got a nice call from Dragan Nightfire, tipping us to the Ponybound training field.

It doesn’t appear to be related to the PonyboUnd store we reviewed before, but let’s face it, it’s a pretty good name ;)

Very clean, lovely place (when you visit, note the beautiful mountains), and as advertised, very low lag.

There are boards showing script use, memory use, and lots of good info any big pony event should consider to minimize lag.

XTC Leather - Def Con Leather Dress and Boots in Chocolate

We keep in touch with Xaviar, sharing spectacular pics and cool things we find. In this latex world, a good leather designer is a friend to cherish :)

He drops a bomb on us tonight : the Def Con Leather Dress, in rich chocolate-colored leather with distinctive leather braided seams.

It’s hot off the press - like, coming out at the store as I write this. God I love exclusives :)

Def Con is a gorgeous little leather dress, in biker “indian” style, with XTC’s usual excellent textures, perfectly matching skirt prim part, and a good variety of openings if the skin you want to show off is your own.

The matching (but not included) boots fit me out of the box. They don’t come with a resize script, so take a copy and edit by hand - it’s pretty straightforward.

So if you want to stand out from the latex crowd - not that there’s anything wrong with latex! - you know where to go.

Def Con comes in 3 stages, Def Con 3 is what Mistress is wearing the full dress, with Def Con 2 you lose the front panels and Def Con 1 (aka global nuclear war) opens up the back of the dress.

You get the dress in the pants and shirts layer, just where you would expect it.

Xaviar also added gloves and net stockings to sweeten the deal, and they do work great together.

As expected the leather texture is quite yummy and chocolaty and it’s also used on the matching boots.

The boots, which are sold separately, are of a simple fashionable style, well i guess a heel like that would put them in the fetish category in RL.

Finally i just have got to mention the prim skirt inlay, hiding that awful SL cloth skirt, i might have said this before, but i do love these little prims.

There’s a new catsuit in town, and boy, is it detailed :) Introducing the RevoSuit, by KDC.

Short of standing in a latex shower (better left to erotica stories), latex is made of rectangular pieces, assembled together to cover the body.

Seams and zippers are therefore inevitable, and the very cool thought Kyrah apparently had (my ESP is sketchy at best, I bought it at a surplus store) was, let’s make SL catsuits more authentic by adding said inevitable parts. It’s not a bug, it’s a feature!

There are base and metal zippers, depending how much you want them to stand out. Front, rear, shoulder entry, in all layers.

And if that’s not enough, separate gloves and stockings (called Misc Parts) so you can mix and match as I did in the second pic. Nothing changes a color catsuit quite as much as black gloves and stockings.

I’m wearing black and lelo baby pink in the first pic; then I have sblue and lelo has olive.

As the boxes contain lots and lots of folders, make sure you click them and use the supplied unpack script rather than doing the usual open.

Kyrah has been working hard the last 2 months making an all new latex texture, the first one we have seen in a while.

She improved the latex texture quite a bit, making the shine look more realistic, adding realistic seams and folds and adding figure enhancing shadows. *smiles*

The suits are offered in 3 different ways, the basic version gives you the catsuit with color matched front to back zipper, in all layers.

The premium edition adds metal zippers, back to front and shoulder entry and the always fun breast zippers.

Finally there is the complete package offering you all the colors (black, blue, bpink, brown, green, lblue, lgreen, olive, orange, pink, purple, red and sblue) in the premium edition and giving you a nice discount of 25%, always a good thing.

On another happy note, Kyrah lowered the prices on quite a few of her older latex products.

BarePeds - Ankle boots

Sometimes we hear from a designer, sometimes we go looking to make sure they haven’t been dragged off by gypsies.

I was pleased to see the nice variety of ankle boots at BarePeds, but I was a little surprised when Qeux backed up the shoe truck and buried us under all the models :)

In fact, he came by and we had a very cool and unexpected chat.

Seems that BarePeds was put on a slight pause as Qeux is developing products at his other store, Lovers Playground Petite.

What products? Accessories for “petites”, the latest thing in avatars. Tiny, well-formed mesh avatars. Here’s Qeux wearing one - note the tiny CFM boots :)

The BarePed ankle boots, then : I’m wearing the belted version in the first pic, and they look pretty darn awesome.

An excellent shape, a few great prim details (like the little heart at the rear you nearly need a microscope to see.. there’s a lot to love here.

We were looking through our list of designers we hadn’t covered in a while and BarePeds caught our eye, so we had a look and we weren’t disappointed.

We showed you his knee high boots the last time so now it’s time for the ankle high boots.

There are 6 versions to choose from: belted, laced, collar, collar tall, cuffed and lace buckled.

All boots come in three sizes small, medium and large and don’t have a resizing script, for both of us the medium was a good fit.

The magic of alpha socks working hard, but for you still clinging on to the V1 viewer there are also invisiprims included.

Nice choice of good looking boot on the edge of fashion/fetish, hope he’ll get back to making big stuff soon. *smiles*
