Bugshit Latex - Latex Bodysuit Black

We don't usually name prices in our column, but Bugshit (or perhaps it's now called BugWear, I see that name on the included landmark) certainly makes me want to make an exception.

This lovely latex body suit, then, cost me L$125.

That's right, about twice what I tip a live DJ at an event for a request.

The store's been around forever, and helping the fetish lover on a budget since then.

The outfit has three tops, one with open breasts, and the other open with shaded openings; all of them in undershirt, shirt and jacket layer. Stockings and gloves, and the bottom in two versions.

Not that the quality is any less than excellent. This red catsuit is from Bug(shit/Wear), and it's one of my favorites.

In conclusion : Go, bring your friends, and have them bring their friends ;)

If you think the company name is funny then have a look at the designers name, i wonder if the two are somehow connected. *winks*

To sum up Bugshit Latex is pretty easy, cheap good looking latex clothing.

Ohh if you want to expose a bit more skin, most Bugshit outfit's we've seen have layers with opened zippers.

DV8 - Danse Macabre Boots

If we had to store lelo's ballet boots in real life closets, we'd have to live in a warehouse.

These are Danse Macabre, by DV8, some lovely detailed ballet boots available in dark green, dark red, dark blue, and dark dark... no, no, I kid : the colors are Red, Agate, Espresso, Jade, Moss, Pewter, Purple and Rust.

The heels are detailed and look quite authentic. Detailed prim laces in the front add realism.

The DV8 store is huge, and full of cool clothes and boots (how lelo found *these* I'll never know), so do give it a good look... when you have a fair bit of time free!

Ok, so i'm addicted to these things, there are worse addictions in the world and yes i'm planning to get them all.. *evil laugh*

You can see the Goth roots of DV8 in two ways, all available colors are dark and there is no scripting in these, really there isn't, we've checked..twice.

I love the black sock you see sticking out at the top and the dangling laces will attract nekko girls, so be careful when wearing these. *winks*

The general shape is well done and fitting is easy and made even easier with the supplied pose stand.

So great boots for a good price, and for you bondage bunnies, drop in a locking script and you have yourself a nice looking new toy.

Kayliwulf Kingdom - Bubble Girl

Introducing Bubble Girl, Kayliwulf's latest outfit. What is new here, you may wonder?

Well, it's the first Kayliwulf outfit designed for the new SL viewer 2.

For a calm, expert reaction on the V2 viewer by Deirdre, please scream the following at the top of your lungs :

"AAAAAAHHHH!!!! ARE THE LINDENS ON FUCKING DRUGS??? WHAT IS THAT HORROR? WHERE IS EVERYTHING THAT I TOOK YEARS TO LEARN? WHAT IS THIS DEMONIC ABORTION? DID THEY HIRE MICROSOFT DEVELOPERS? AAAAAAHHHH!!!!"

The outfit comes with the lovely number 4 heels we like, and the mask texture looks new, and is quite detailed.

Brave souls who have already moved to the v2 viewers will enjoy Kayliwulf's cutting edge work.

Ok this is a milestone for SL and us : the first SL2 viewer clothing we are reporting about.

First things first though: WOAHHAAA!!!! where did they put all the controls and options we are used to, i feel like a bloody newb!!!!

Ok we switched back to the trusty old viewer and calmed down a bit, so back to the outfit.

Back in the old viewer the two improvements you get with this outfit are suddenly clear.

First there is the tattoo layer mask which goes missing in the old viewer, luckily Laz has included the "old" prim mask so you can achieve something close to the SL2 mask.

But i must say the SL2 option looks much better. *sighs* i guess we'll have to move on sooner or later.

The shoes show the new invisi option in SL2, no more bulky invisi prims, smooth lines, seems this is the way forwards, if only the Lindens would give us something we can recognize.

So nothing earth-shattering in this outfit, but still it's a sign of things to come, so get it and try the new viewer, but better take small steps into that new world. *winks*

Open Pony

I was happily procrastinating, while pondering whether to go with my original idea for this week's article on a non pony sim (yes I know but I do have other interests).

By sheer chance a conversation between myself and a friend was overheard, and I was then informed of the Open Pony product.

Naturally, I thought they meant the Open Collar Pony Bridle. It turns out I was mistaken. That seems to happen a lot lately.

So, I was promptly bundled a package of a folder containing two boxes. As it happens, they contained a complete pony kit in black, or in white.

I could blabber on about the basic concept behind this, but, why not follow this link, and get yourself a kit of your own?

Just remember to register for an X Street account if you don't have one already.

The tack is complete, with the bridle featuring a selection of bits. But the most exciting part is this is full perms and open source.

I can't wait to get my hands on an RLV scripted version.

The very fact that this is open source opens up a wide number of options, and allows a complete tack set including AO for new ponies.

It's free, though naturally, donations are welcomed by the creators for their time spent on such a product. And deservedly so.

This is the first incarnation of the tack, so I would imagine if it is popular enough, will be updated and tweaked many times in the near future.

This is definitely something to keep an eye on - and what are you waiting for? Go grab your set and see what you can do with it.

Haiti Relief Event Weekend

Luxette Maximus, of Rubber Kittens, called us last night with an event notice : a charity fetish event at Latexia Space Station this weekend, to support relief efforts in Haiti.

The fund-raising part of the event will be an auction by numerous designers.. should be fun!

Bhadra's - Sculpted Ballet Boots

We got boots in the mail recently ;) Well, nearly : Bhadragura sent us this lovely pair for review, her new Sculpted Ballet Boots.

They're lovely and shiny, and the heel is a work of art. Even the ankle and calf straps are shiny and detailed.

Dolls who enjoy training and gaining proficiency in ballet walk will enjoy the "danger" mode.

Mistresses who watch in dismay as their dear slave plummets to the ground from a seated position will not.

The metal ankle cuffs look terrific. Even the chain links look better than the average chain.

A good menu lets the domme control the boot settings, down to the laces color.

There's a tremendous amount of good work in these boots. I think lelo will live in them for quite a while ;)

Ok, you know i love them and i can't get enough of them, so when Bhadragura send me these it was Christmas all over. *smiles*

These are an upgraded version from the Mistress ballets we did some time back.

And boy did she do an upgrade on these, she not only replaced almost all the prims on them, but also added quite some scripting to them.

All the prims are better defined and look sharp, the adjusting still takes a bit of work but with some stretching and moving around you'll get there.

New is that you can change the colors while wearing the boots, there is a choice of black, blue, pink plum red and white.

With these you get an nice little AO which you can adjust too the confidence level you have in the boots. You can also select danger which will let you stumble and fall at random intervals.

The boots are RLV compatible as you would expect from a fetish boot these days.

Like Mistress says i might spend quite some time in these the comming weeks.

Amilli Daviau Design - Python Boots Black

Lisbeth Cohen sent us the LM to this store, and told us Amilli had some "really hot boots", so we just had to have a peek.

The store layout is simple, and the new designs are right at the entrance : the Python boot, which we're featuring tonight.

The texture is excellent, especially the leather. The python print looks good too, I just don't own any python items to compare ;)

I love the ankle strap and heel chain : cool details that give a bit of a Western feel to a good high heeled boot.

Big invisiprims around the boot make it fit any size calf, and a good resize menu is included - make them tight as you like!

This boots are the kind of boots Mistress loves and i must agree with her they are pretty sweet.

In the box you get two versions of the boots: one in the color (black here, but there's blue, red, and brown) with python detail on the heel, and the other all in python, with color highlights.

The heel shape is great as are the buckles which are pointing the right way for a change.

The zipper on the back of the boot is well done and i love that little chain running behind the heel.

Fitting is pretty easy with the built in resizing script which has a nice little reset button when you lost track of all the changes you have made.

Another great extra is the walk sound that's included, this one you can just wear when you feel like making those heels klick, any heels you want that is.

Good fashion boot with a heel that makes it fit for a fetish goddess.

Kayliwulf Kingdom - Innocence Enslaved

A nice white virginal outfit for lelo today, this is Innocence Enslaved, by Kayliwulf.

This is quite a change from her usual hooded rubberdoll look, and a reminder that Kayliwulf has a fair amount of variety of types of clothes, as well as a large number of models in each category.

We don't see a lot of white clothes, somehow - maybe it's the stigma of the grey un-rezzed?

Good contrast on a dark dance floor, I should think... but maybe this is more of a bedroom outfit.

Couldn't help it, the name of this outfit just caught my eye and i just had to have it.

It's a 10 part outfit, complete with the stiletto strap pumps, please be kind and turn off the bling.

The top, gloves and skirt are in that great Kayliwulf invention, lacetex. i just love it.

By the way the skirt is more like lace lining on the corset, so better beware of drafts.

The PVC & Chrome corset comes with one of Laz's patented (not sure if they are but he should) prim bows on the back, lovely little detail.

The shiny sheer stockings complete the outfit, which i would call sexy without being slutty.

Best Pony Sim - (i am not sure what you mean by dedicated and non-dedicated... i guess this is dedicated)
I really love Tropical Dream... It never has much of a crowd, but it is so well designed and laid out. It is always a pleasure to visit. I also think it has by far the best cart track, and the best slalom course in all of SL. The steeple course (my personal event) is quite good too.
Best Steeple Course - In the olden days (2 years ago), Friendly Filly Farm had the best course by far. It was tremendous fun to race, and absolutely gorgeous looking. Sadly, they removed it for some reason, and the new course is super laggy, not half as visually appealing, not as challenging, and not much fun.
It is very difficult for me to pick a favorite Steeple Course now, as none of them compare to the old FFF course. If forced to choose, I will call it a tie between Naughty Angel and Tropical Dream. Naughty Angel is nicer, but Tropical Dream has less lag.
Best Slalom Course - Tropical Dream by far! Amazing one of a kind scoreboard, super poles, and low lag. None of the others come close.
Best Cart Track - Tropical Dream by far! Really fun course, and it is wide enough to accomodate 2 carts side by side which makes for really fun racing. It is possible to race up to 4 carts simultaneously on the track. I can't recommend this course highly enough.
Best Dressage Field - This is dificult to choose, as they are all pretty much the same functionally. I guess the choice comes down to ambiance. i kind of like Alley Kat and Tropical Dream and Maison Broceliande, but really, i like them all.
Best Pony Retailer - Morbid Studios by far. The prettiest pony gear in SL.
Best Pony Correspondent - You, of course! hehehe
Pony Trainer of the Year - Miss WhiteSatin Sands of AlleyKat stables.

Hugo's Design - Ruri

Another hot-off-the-press, shiny new outfit released just yesterday, this is Ruri, by Hugo's Design.

It's available in all the standard Hugo's colors : Baby Pink, Black, Hard Pink, Purple, Red and White.

The cleavage-revealing top has a cute little set of horns on the heart... kawaiiii! ;)

Some good solid straps all over the sleeves, gloves, stockings and skirt remind us that this is fetish wear.

The colors are an excellent match for Bax ankle boots... just sayin' ;)

I guess this one falls into the category sexy cheerleader or at least sexy.

I just love skirts like these and the added belt makes it even better.

Only thing is you'll need to do a bit of adjusting to get it to fit just right, but that a little price to pay.

The top has a nice cut out showing some skin and cleavage.

On the bottom of the cute little shopping bag you'll find a pair of good looking fingerless gloves and a pair of stockings in matching colors to the skirt.

PixelFashion and Neurolab - Russ Dress

For once, we actually saw a dress in a shop :) This is the Russ Dress, a 17-part outfit by PixelFashion.

It's really two versions of a dress, one in shiny black PVC, the other in smoky transparent PVC.

Excellent reflections, quite eye-catching and realistic.

A few nice prim parts are included : upper arm straps (in small, medium and large), and matching ones for chest and behind.

The skirt has a prim part, which I applaud. It's quite good, but the best I've seen is by Drawmachine. (Seriously, Armin, license and sell that thing, it's pure genius.)

I didn't have strapped boots to do it justice, so I pulled out my old Minx.. which I still love, after all these years.

When we were shopping for the ultimate boots, a little while back, we saw this beauty in the PixelFashion shop.

It was under a big "NEW" sign, we just love signs like that. make our job a lot easier. *smiles*

I really tried to get Mistress into the transparent skirt for our fan's but i miserably failed. *winks*

Bootgasm - Sensual

Another nice find at Twisted Orchid.. spotted someone wearing these, and we just headed straight for the store. Who could resist that name?

I like stiletto heels. A lot. I may have told half the designers in Second Life that I wanted a pair of these. (They're from Domination Shop in Germany, if you're curious.)

So the Sensual ankle boots are a step in the right direction.

A good stiletto heel, excellent textures, and a good resize script : I hit -5% five times (which counter-intuitively reduces to 77% of original, count it for yourself!)

Expect a fair bit of fitting out of the box : rotating and moving up and down to make the boots even.

Aside from that, good, simple ankle boots. No heel click, no bling, no fuss. Wear them with jeans, or with a nice Squeaky Rubber catsuit :)

Well these boots are made for Mistress, high heels, pointy nose and more than a few belts.

When we were at the store we were in luck to find Tad putting the last hand on the new store, which is bigger, better and full of boots, boots and more boots.

The store is divided into a couple of departments to make searching easy, there is a neko/moon boot department, thigh high, ankle and calf boots are in their own corners of the store.

And there is a Fetish department, where the boots have some nice names like: enslaved, dominant and tied.

So have a look, it's the largest boot store in SL according to Tad, we didn't check, so if you know a bigger one, please let us know.

Kayliwulf Kingdom - Glass Slipper

We received a notice Saturday.. some pretty exciting news for shoe fetishists, I'd say :

Kayliwulf Kingdom is proud to announce the grand opening of our new Glass Slipper store!

The store is on Hughes, a different sim than Kayliwulf's central location.

The un-demos are "fully functioning and unmarked versions of our products in specific colors we've selected", in case you wondered.

They've been a specialty of Kayliwulf for a long time, but if you're just discovering them via the shoe store, you'll appreciate a fully functional demo to try on for fit, menus, and all the good stuff.

Glass Slipper is a nice little store, set in a cool snowy region. Once inside, everything is in easy reach - no need to fly from one end of the store to the other.

Unbridled

By chance, almost out of desperation, I entered a search in SL to see if I had somehow not noticed a new store or pony sim, and, imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this gem of a store.

Unbridled seems to have popped up from nowhere. And it offers a few original items that impressed me.

And even more lucky, the owner was there working on a new product, which I am sorry to say, I interrupted for a while.

Mina Keng cuts an impressive figure, and was only too happy to chat, although was cut short by a real life interruption. Don't you just hate how that happens?

I looked around and saw a neat cage where the pony, once inside, has no option but to sleep standing up, just like a real pony.

Unfortunately, I gave into temptation and sat on the cage out in the store, and found myself rendered helpless and unable to escape. Pesky RLV!

Left with no other option, I cammed around the store where there is a pony bath complete with hand pump and poseball for the trainer to bathe the pony.

A breeding rack, with blanket for the mare to kneel on, and a stool for the trainer to comfort the nervous mare. A lovely touch.

Also in store was a smaller bath with brushes for the trainer to ensue the pony is clean. The obligatory milking stand, but with some original twists.

Also featured is a cart which allows RLV hitching of the pony, a selection of poses for the driver, including a cart horse whipping action, and a cage for a spare pony for those longer journeys.

Marvelous idea once more. And at a bargain price of just L$350, I couldn't help but get one.

B-Squared sent us this lovely outfit some time back, called Black Widow, and it's time to run it.

It's another of these multi-layered jobbies : 21 parts in the box, not counting landmark and notes.

The net shirt is absolutely gorgeous, and will probably be part of some of my regular outfits for a while.

The corset is available in under or overbust version, with the lack bra available alone - mix and match heaven.

All I'm wearing here, then, is on the bra and shirt layer, leaving the jacket layer free for you to complement to your taste.

Three different pairs of latex gloves, and some good-looking zippered tights complete the outfit.

An excellent value considering the number of parts and options you get.

Bridle had moved shop, so better use the landmark in this post, ohh and i mean she transplanted the ruins of her old shop, so better get over there and spend some money, she really could do with a roof. *winks*

While we were checking out the shop we also gave the sim a look and it's worth a good long second look.

First thing that caught our eyes was the Dari Haus shop across the street. (For those of you who missed the story behind Dari's Haus, better follow this link.)

If you are still looking for the Dari box of (free!!!) toys it's still in the Dari store.

The sims Deadly and Deadly Drama are owned by Miryam Robson, who we met while looking around.

The sims feature a great little fetish mall, a club, a castle with all kinds of BDSM equipment and a nice garden on the north side of the sims.

Small word of warning, or advertisment.. Deadly is a strictly FemDom place and males are forced to be submissives.

Rubber Kittens - Mistress Doll

When we visited Rubber Kittens recently, I was concerned that it was a ghost ship, sailing without a hand on the wheel.

Nothing could be further from the truth. A call to Luxette got us a nice little interview with her.

She has indeed been away for a short while, but she's back, and has a huge update under way. No date yet, but we'll sure keep you posted.

Today's outfit, then, is Mistress Doll. We've seen it on occasion at Rubber Room, as there's a nice little rubberdoll community building there.

It's quite an impressive outfit : heavy rubber enthusiasts will find a lot to like here. Suit up, and go dominate some rubberdolls :)

Don't get the name of this outfit wrong, i don't switch. *smiles* really i don't..

The outfit comes with 13 parts, including a shape for ease of fitting.

The cloth layer parts are quite good - i just love the black and red combo.

There are also a pair of prim boots included, though you might want to wear some good looking ballets with this one.

The thing that really stands out is the gasmask, which offers some fun role play options, including a hud that obscures your vision.

You also have the choice to see and hear your breath, please don't use it on busy sims, not everyone is into heavy breathing. *winks*

Finally there is a urine collection bag, can't say i'm a fan but it completes the picture.

Kcreations - Calf Boots

Kat called us with some just-released, hot-off-the-press new sculpted boots, so we pounced - remember, you saw them here first ;)

They're calf-boots, with a nice clean shape and good heel out of the box.

They look typically eighties-styled to me, but that's just mama Deirdre's grey hair peeking out under the blonde Sirena.

Good heels, a nice shape with a wide-ish toe box that lelo loves (more than I do) and a great leather texture.. tuck some jeans in those, hop on a motorcycle, and you're all set.

These boots will keep you busy for years, yes you read that right years.

First things first though, the boots have an amazingly good shape and the texture really works great on these.

The next thing are the heels, the boot comes with 4 quick change heels, from a wedge to the shown stiletto's and there is a more clunky style heel.

It gets interesting when you select the textures, 22 in all to choose from.

But if you think that's where the color fun ends you are wrong, very wrong indeed.

The boots come with a HUD color selector very much like the one you might know from building in SL.

This gives you endless color combinations, with separate colors for the boot, the sole and the heels.

Ohh and one more nice little thing, they are copy so you can make as many color combinations as you like and add them to the outfits of your choose.

BAX better beware here's Kat and she is going places.

Kayliwulf Kingdom - Red Hot Jazz

Another excellent men's outfit from Kayliwulf, this is Red Hot Jazz.

This one says musical to me. Picture a dozen guys dressed like this dancing around Madonna... fun!

As usual, excellent little details, cuff links matching the shirt buttons, shirt cuffs showing through the coat sleeves.

Model wear or party wear, you decide!

There are 16 pieces that come with the outfit.

The red jumpsuit looks good with the usual Kayliwulf shine, and i just love that cute little red bow-tie on the black shirt.

The clothlayer shoes look amazing, still find myself trying to inspect them. *smiles*

A nice walking stick completes the outfit, could be the name but i really imagine a guy wearing this in a jazz club... not sure about the latex though. *winks*

Pony Movies

An old friend called me last night, and asked whether I knew a ponygirl who might like to appear in a SL movie.

Well, I said I could ask.

She also needed a location : a large manor, mansion or castle, with a road leading up to it.

It just so happened on my travels, I had found such a place.

I teleported there and brought her in, and while trying to see how it might work, I found myself volunteering to slip into tack for a trial run.

The director came along, and before I knew it, we were filming the scene : the star arriving by ponygirl carriage at a house, a 30-second scene.

It took almost 3 and a half hours to film.

Take after take. repeat the same path, using a different camera angle.

Sounds boring? It might. But it wasn't. Not one bit. I really enjoyed my SL acting debut even if it is a non speaking role.

The director admitted this is a pet project and may take forever before it is released, if ever, but still, I was most happy to play a part.

Naturally, there was no financial reward, this was purely to help out a friend, and to get my foot in the SL acting door. But also, I was delighted to see a venture like this.

And that the venture promoted a scene involving pony play was just something I couldn't help but get involved with.

I'll post more details when they become available.

On a different note, I have been passed a few notecards over the past few days from people putting their votes in for the pony awards.

I would like to thank all those that have, though without a venue or any solid plans, I have no idea if this will progress further.

With more interest from you, this becomes a more likely possibility, so, keep the votes coming.

Also - keep an eye out for the Femdom day as featured on this very blog : ponyboys will be racing, so, cheer them on!

DV8 - Razor Girl

Razor Girl is amazing. There's no other word that fits.

The box opens into such a huge list, you'll make folders out of sheer self-defense.

Mine are : accessories, boots, extras, gloves, pants, socks and tops. (Extras are a habit of mine, and include the note and landmark.)

You must read Vasha's note. This is not just an outfit : it's an expression of a future-gazing, optimistic, interesting philosophy.

If someone felt really patient and wanted to mix and match and snap pictures, I have no doubt over 100 outfits would emerge.

The two choices here reflect some of the variety, but far from all of it. I just had to show lelo the folder content, and she said, oh, we must share that :)

One small example of how smart this kit is : the collar comes in a spine and chest version, both already fitted in place.

If you have a jacket prim or other item that gets displaced by a collar, you will appreciate the attention to detail.

The outfit is very reasonably priced, considering all you get.

As our blog grew in size slowly designers took notice of us and started contacting us.

But this one is different, DV8 was suggested to us by one of our readers, and we would love to get more great suggestions like this.

Once we were at the store, the Razor Girl outfit caught our eye, had to be the amount of outfits on the vendor picture.

As Vasha says in the included note: "Razor Girl is my vision of the ultimate expression of traveling light without sacrificing an ounce of style"

She even included a small suitcase in the kit. *smiles*

Femdom Day 2010

This weekend, March 6th and 7th, the prominent Femdom groups of Second Life will gather for a weekend of celebration and fund-raising.

The dates were chosen to coincide with International Women's Day on March 8th.

This is the second annual event - last year's attendance was in the thousands, so whatever event you want to attend over the weekend, make sure to arrive early.

Proceeds from Femdom Day will benefit Pro Mujer, an organization working to improve the life conditions of poor women and their families in Latin America.

Hugo's Designs, which we've covered regularly here, will participate in the fund raising, with a fashion show in which the outfits will be auctioned off - should be fun!

POC - Sheer Sin

Another brand new release - Kai called us just this Sunday with his new "Sheer Sin" line.

It comes in eight colors : Amber, Amethyst, Diamond, Emerald, Onyx, Rosequartz, Ruby and Sapphire.

Modeled here : Deirdre in Amethyst, lelo in Ruby, and from the back, Deirdre in Onyx, lelo in Diamond.

The colors are lovely and delicate, and do an amazing job of suggesting semi-transparent rubber.

The master of shiny rubber has come up with something new, shiny sheer rubber.

The texture is still as shiny as it always was, but it now reveals your skin.

The outfit comes in three parts, body, stockings and gloves, so you only buy what you like/need.

With the body you get three options: long sleeved, short sleeved and sleeveless and those come in all layers so you can combine them with tattoos or corsets.

The zipper on the back is lovely showing his eye for detail.

The gloves also come in three versions: glovettes, long and short gloves.

Finally there are the stockings which offer you a choice of socks, stockings and extended stockings, which are on the pants or underwear layer.

I just love a stocking with a nice seam, especially when i don't have to adjust it. *winks*

Al the items are copy so you can add them to your favorite outfits.
