Hu-Mares Stable at Stones N Rubber

Off in the region of Kinky Magic sits the transformation wonderland of Stones N Rubber (sNr), a place of latex coated dreams and frozen statue nightmares.

On the eastern side of this land, you’ll find the Hu-Mares Stable, on the main path around sNr, and at exit 1 on the Pony Highway. The Pony Highway is an elevated system of pathways around the island, affording carriage riders fantastic views of sNr.

Make sure to have your pony’s blinders on, otherwise they might crash your carriage over the guard rail as they enjoy the view too.

Hu-Mares Stable is one that caters to strict animal livestock treatment of its residents.

As one is transformed from a human into an animal, many restrictions are placed on them. The use of an RLV-enabled viewer, open collar or stable-provided implant, and pet hearing device is required to enforce restrictions and immerse the animal in the roleplay.

This is exciting to some (I’m getting tingley just writing about it), it represents one side of the spectrum of pony play that might be more than some can handle. From what I’ve observed, the life of a Hu-Mare is hard and requires much patience and dedication.

Those transformed into Hu-Mare Ponies may become Mares, which are permanent residents of the stable. The stable requires that one entering transformation choose between “classic” (typical ponygirl tack) and “rubber” (a specific latex outfit/look is welded permanently to the pony.)

Hu-Mares Stable’s facilities are well integrated into sNr. The barn has a number of stalls for the resident animals, as well as some guest stalls.

Adjacent to the barn is a training area, whip ring and walking track, where ponies will learn to adjust to their new situation under the strict supervision of Hu-Mares’ trainers.

A nice steeplechase jump course is near the barn, as well as a slalom course. Then there are all the roads and paths in sNr which are nice for carting, as well as the Pony Highway.

Occasionally events are held, such as a recent cart race on the Pony Highway. It was a very fun race, the excitement of a new course, seeing many pony friends, and the challenges of the course and environment (it was a very busy time for the island.)

If you are a pony looking for a month of hard work or a permanent home, perhaps sealed in latex, then Hu-Mares Stable at Stones N Rubber may be just the place for you. For me, its a nice place to visit (and shop), so you should definitely check it out.

Catch It - Janet dress

Shiny... :) The purple shine of Catch It’s Janet dress caught my eye at the Rubber Room mall, and it was a great excuse to go visit Pad’s lovely new store.

(He’s too adorable, so I have to mention him. When you arrive at the store, there’s a cool little mascot called Catchi waiting at the door, and sprinkled all around the store.)

Janet, then, has the same gorgeous shine as the one we loved in the Ultima catsuit - and sure enough, the only purple boots in my inventory were my Pixelfashion.

I had an amusing moment talking with Dodo Biscuit, who I thought was sales help, and who turned out to be a bot ;) Maybe I shouldn’t have spoiled it for you and let you say hi.. ah well ;)

Janet is a simple dress which comes in a short and long sleeved version, the magic is in the great shine on them.

In the fun little bag you get your dress in all available layers including the tattoo layer, there is also the, in my mind, mandatory skirt prim.

The skirt prim is full mod, so you can adjust it for that perfect fit, which improves the look of the dress quite a bit.

The dress is available in black, blood, blue, pink, purple (worn here by Mistress), red (as worn by me) and white.

Great colors, great shine, simple cut, have fun accessorizing, finding matching shoes should be a fun day out, if only there was a quick and easy way to see what’s out there...*winks*

Carmen's Shoes - Noel

Another tip from Pet, our world famous fetish shopper, this is the Noel boot by Carmen’s Shoes.

I was pleased to note that a v1 and a v2 version were included in the box. They fit me right out of the box, too.. no fussing at all, size or position.

Noel is available in black, as worn by lelo, and red - worn by me! - and blue, and yellow. A phat pack of all four colors is 25% off, a fair discount.

Luc, a friendly sales associate (is that the current PC way to say that?) at the store, directed me to a fun freebie : a Hallowe’en fur boot called Nova. Two separate versions, v1 and v2 - pretty smart, no inventory clutter :)

Noel is a great-looking, very detailed boot with good textures, even in the black version, avoiding the too-common black on black problem. The prims are exceptionally detailed, and look terrific.

Boots tonight and from a (for the blog) new designer, Mahalee Breen with her brand Carmen’s Shoes.

The prim work on these boots is amazing, and you might not be surprised that the total prim count of the boots is 340 prims, strangely 169 in the right and 171 in the left boot. Honourable mention on the blog who can find the odd ones out. *winks*

There is a certain theme going on with these boots that i just can’t really put my finger on, steel knuckles, police cuffs and dice... you connect the dots.

The boots come with a simple resize hud so no lag inducing scripts in the boots themselves, your local sim owner will be grateful.

The heels are lethal but luckily she added a bit of thicker sole on the end it to protect your floors
or trampee..

So better hurry getting these boots before they are all the rage about SL.

Hugo's Design - Yori

We’re back to the space-ey theme with Hugo’s latest release, a versatile outfit called Yori.

As usual, every part in every layer means you can do like Sian Pearl did with Graves and literally make new outfits with Hugo parts.

In fact, if anyone out there is already doing it, send us pictures and we’ll feature them :)

Yori is a great outfit with a solid black backdrop for the discreet color highlighting. And we know black goes with everything...

The outfit is available in all Hugo colors : baby pink, hard pink, purple, red, white and the new light blue.

Yori isn’t an outfit it’s a complete wardrobe, i’m not kidding there are 30 clothing items in the bag.

There is a full catsuit like Mistress is wearing and you can go just about naked with just a pair of panties and some pasties.

You get a corset, chaps, stocking, gloves, pasties, the catsuit with 3 tops, closed, open with sheer inserts and fully open.

Erik put quite a bit of work in the panties and the corset which look great with all the belts and rivets.

And as you might expect from Hugo’s all layers are included so happy mixing.

A nice little extra are the fun color matched sunglasses, just to add an extra bit of coolness to your look.

XTC Leather - Oppression

“HELP! HELP! I'm being oppressed!”.. well, the original Python line is “repressed” - don’t misquote to a fan, they bite ;)

This is XTC’s latest release, hot off the press : Oppression.

What a great name.. Oppression by Xaviar Thunders.. sounds like Obsession by Calvin Klein.

Xav was kind enough to give me an advance version for our anniversary party at Rubber Room - you’ll spot it if you look awful close at the first and last pictures of the set.

Speaking of pictures, look at the vendor pic and you’ll see four lovely models named : the contest winners for this month.

Obsession is one of those impossible - or at least really not easy - to make in RL outfits. We’re lucky XTC is in SL and not competing with Jean-Claude Jitrois in Paris.

Belts anyone? Seems Xaviar heard that Mistress has a thing for them and he does aim to please.

You can choose between 4 different colors: violet and noir, as worn by Mistress, and blood and sapphire, worn by me.

The set comes with gloves, pants, corset all nice and belty, you also get a nice leather bikini and nipple tape, all color matched.

The corset is connected to the pants by, you guessed it, another belt that runs all the way down the leg.

Lovely party outfit and the bikini can be used at the beach, just don’t swim in it, it’s leather after all.

Pony Starter Kit

Deirdre again : introducing our newest Pony Correspondent, Jo Ronin! Jo not only wrote us a great post for new ponies, she put together a free starter kit for ponies. See bottom of the post for a SLURL to pick it up.

If you want to play at being a pony, you will need to look the part. Ponies wear tack that is a humanised adaptation of the tack worn by a bio-pony.

To this end, all ponies wear a bit, bridle, body-harness, tail and hooves with a pony AO. It is also optional to wear an arm binder in place of hand hooves, as long as the pony's arms are suitably restrained. Also optional is a chastity belt, to thwart a stallion's advances.

Clearly, pony play is not for everyone, so it makes sense to get some free tack to wear while you explore some of the basics

Bit and Bridle

The bit foils the pony's attempts at speaking, for a pony does not speak. The bridle keeps the bit between the pony's teeth and controls the pony's head, thereby helping steer the pony to what the trainer or owner requires. It may or may not have other options including blinders, a blindfold, bite-mask, plume, ears, muffles, nose hooks and reins.

In my opinion, the best free Bit and Bridle is the Dari bridle, just be sure to reset the scripts when you get it. Generally it looks the part and it is functional. The open collar Shiny Bridle is also very good, but I find that the head straps always seem a little odd if you see it from a distance or with lower graphics settings.

Body Harness

The body-harness is designed so that a pony may be hitched to a cart securly and safely. It should be sturdy enough not to break, but flexible enough to allow movement of the pony without chafing or other harm.

The body harness is probably the hardest to find for free. FFF and PPP have both put out nice harnesses and there are a few others that are passable.

Alternatives including "bodies" with woven straps also work. The important thing is that it must be sturdy. A latex or lycra body will be destroyed in minutes if used as a harness, but if it has re-enforced straps woven into it, it should be workable.

Hooves

A pony's limbs end in hooves, both legs and arms. Foot-hooves have no heel and keep the pony nimble on the balls of their human feet while enhancing the look of their calves and buttocks.

My preferred free set are the Kiri Hooves and the various modifications that have been made from them. PPP/LMR made a purple set, a red set was available from Hayao and FFF produced a pink set.

There are also different sets available from Maison de Broceliande and AK Stables.

Tails

When a pony is prancing and wiggles their hips, the tail accentuates their movements. Attached by either a harness or a butt-plug, this adds extra flare to the pony's gait.

Which tail you pick is up to you. There are many nice flowing tails available for free from most Stables. Some have plugs, some fit more closely to the base of the spine, others are part of a harness.

Arm Binder

A pony does not have hands, so in stead of using a set of hoof-mittens to prevent a pony from using her fingers, an arm binder can stop her using her arms. Either way, same result.... pony wont be undoing any latches or buckles.

The best free binders are those by Dari. For a pony, given they have a tail, I favour those based on the Dari U-Binder.

Sourcing Tack

Tack is not always the easiest to find, even if you want to pay for it. Some gets put out, then moved, taken down, upgraded, changed or simply goes out of fashion.

To make things a little easier, I have compiled a crate of all the free tack I have been able to find. It is not an exhaustive collection as some items I have are not transferable, but it also contains a few useful landmarks you may find useful when looking for tack or inspiration.

Alternatives

We already said that you can use an arm binder instead of hoof-mitten.... so what about other items you already have?

Chances are you have a nice head-harness or a body that you can be strapped into, and there's nothing to say you cannot replace any of these items with one to express your individuality as long as it remains functional, is in the spirit of pony play and is within the rules of the stable.

So feel free to experiment, show some individuality and start the next fashion trend.

Elixir - Renegade Minidress and Belt

Elixir traded their space station for a gorgeous pair of facing stores. It was quite a surprise when we landed in the middle.

The second store, Boingo, is fun but less shiny and space-y - we’ll stick with the Elixir brand - but do have a look at both when you visit.

The Renegade dress is simple and well-made, as you can see if you zoom in. Sadly the details fade at a relatively short distance.

The prim part stands out a bit because the dress isn’t a flat color, but detailed textures. But as lelo says, it’s a lot better than doing without.

Khorus mentioned that she had been busy with the new stores, and seeing them, I believe it. New designs are rumored to be upcoming... we’ll be keeping an eye out :)

Here is a great option for the mandatory LBD that should be in every girl's wardrobe.

Khorus did a great job on the texturing, bringing life to the entire dress, not the black on black you see so often.

The cut-outs are quite revealing, but just on the right side of being sexy and not trashy, the fishnet panels on the back are just lovely.

The outfit comes in all layers but better take care, not all tops fit perfectly to the bottoms.. just like in BDSM.

The skirt comes with the usual prim panel, hiding that awful Linden boeboe.

The stockings really look like thigh high boots to me, especially with how the top looks from behind, so let's all call Khorus and ask her to make them into boots. *smiles*

Once again those fishnet panels on the back of the calves are to die for...oops blond alert. *winks*

The belt is sold separately and comes with a handy notecard explaining how you can adjust it to fit your hips.

So better head over to Elixir and get your LBD.. they *are* mandatory you know.

Deviant Designs - Marquise Boots

Some gorgeous boots from Deviant Designs, these are the Marquise Boots, which just seem to have been made to match KCreations excellent leather catsuit.

The cool leather folds under the straps are what caught my eye first.. I thought this was a boot made entirely of straps!

They fit a lot nicer if you have a v2 and wear the included alpha sock.

I had to enlarge them a bit, and they look ok, just not really tight as I love - tight boots may just be the reason I switch soon.

Gorgeous texture, terrific prim work, and great foot and heel shape. The store is one of those rusty warehouse jobbies.. just bring a few bodyguards when you go shopping ;)

There’s a certain event this Thursday, 3PM at the Rubber Room, and lelo and I want to invite all our friends and readers to join us. It’s not the most convenient time if you’re in Europe, but we’ll be there.. saying no more today, but stay tuned!

Mistress just loves a pair of boots with some belts on them, and when she saw these she was immediately sold.

And i must say i love them as well, though for me its more the deadly heel and the platform.

The boots come in: blue, purple, black, red, mocha (brown) and white, all with the great looking leather texture.

If you really love them and you want to get them all to match your various outfits there is a fat pack giving you all 6 for the price of 4, now that is value for money.

Though better wear something old when you get them, it’s not a place to wear your Sunday best. *winks*

Jaimie Earst Fashion - Ulma and Penelope

We were at Latexia, minding our own business, when these great outfits jumped out at us ;)

Lelo spotted the new shoes and boots in Jaimie’s stall, and we decided to stop by the store.

As it happens, Jaimie just made a new one, a gorgeous open thing with lots of air and water, and a great California look. (The old store will remain open, to support a friend’s sim, a very, very cool thing to do.)

I’m wearing Ulma, one of a series of new outfits Jaimie created recently. If you say it reminds you of The Night Porter, I’ll say that was my reaction too.

The cap is a plain (but very shiny) sculptie, and it is fully resizeable. The whip *is* included, and it works well. The suspenders cover your nipples if you have long hair to assist them ;)

The shine is excellent on the pants and gloves, giving them a realistic latex texture. Top and bottom are offered in all layers so you can cover up when you go out.

The ankle boots are great, with quite an extreme heel. They come with a v2 alpha mask, but you know my POC invisiprim trick by now, so like me, you won’t let a little thing like that trip you up.

Jaimie is definitely worth visiting regularly.. we’ll be showing you more soon!

Jaimie has been busy again and made an entire collection of great new outfits, all complete with some very nice heels.

I’m wearing Penelope, which comes in underwear and shirt layer, covering all the naughty bits.. just.. *smiles*

You also get 4 prim parts, the lovely boots, which come with their own flared trouser legs so you don’t get that skin color on the inside like you get with the cloth layer and flared sleeves for the arms.

Jaimie took a lesson from Henry Ford and made her collection available in all colors just as long as it’s black.

And to be honest i think 90% of my wardrobe is black so a good choice i would say, leaving you with extra money to buy yourself more of her great designs.

So go and have a look at her amazing new store and her new creations, they do look good.

Marine's Goodies - Riding Reins HUD

Deirdre here :Our search bore fruit! Please welcome our first new Pony Correspondent, Kendra Chemistry. That's right, I said "first"... stay tuned for more :)

While out on a nice cart or saddle ride with your ponygirl (or boy), have you ever longed for an easier way to role play holding and using your pony's reins? To save my typing fingers, I'd resorted to using gestures for things like "/me snaps the reins" or "/me pulls the reins to the right" when trying to role play reins.

Marine Kelley, of Real Restraints and RLV fame (and a very pretty ponygirl herself), has released a creation from her personal box of goodies, the Riding Reins HUD.

Riding Reins is a HUD that is worn by the rider/driver, which presents a set of signal buttons that will chat the emotes you would normally type, along with realistic sound effects. This is especially useful when your pony is blindfolded, and the emotes need to come quickly to keep them on the path (and out of the bushes or stream.)

While its possible for the pony to follow directions from just the chat, they can also wear a copy of the HUD (purchased separately) in a slave mode, to see the directions just as the rider sees on their HUD. The pony can then respond quicker and more precisely than they would if they were staring down at chat.

To use riding reins effectively, it takes a bit of practice for both the pony and rider. The pony must be trained to respond to the HUD, and the rider needs practice to predict when to give a turn, as different cart and saddle vehicles turn at different rates. This training experience can be both fun and frustrating, and requires a bit of patience.

Once both rider and pony have learned Riding Reins, I have found cart driving and saddle riding experiences richer. I'm very proud sitting in the saddle of my well-trained blindfolded pony while those around stand and watch in awe. Thank you Marine!

Hugo's Design - Cordelia and Survey

Two cool bits of news from Hugo’s Design tonight : the Cordelia catsuit, and a cool survey that might let you win 1000L$’s worth of latexy goodness at Hugo’s.

Cordelia is a nice outfit, if a little plainer than the usual Hugo’s products. There are no straps or rings, although the cutouts in the closed version are pretty dramatic.

The black cuffs at the end of the colored sleeves are a nice touch. If you go diving with this outfit, most people shouldn’t freak out ;)

Cordelia is the newest creation coming from Hugo’s Designs, i would class this more as a party outfit than a fetish outfit.

Still, even a rubber doll like me needs some party clothes in her closet. *winks*

The main color of the outfit is the classic black latex, complemented by some fun colorful highlights, available in all the usual HD colors.

Next to the great Hugo’s latex texture, you get some great looking cutouts on the chest, making it sexy not slutty, and a very well defined zipper on the back.

The outfit comes with a choice of 3 versions of gloves, all long ending just past the elbow and coming in the main color, black with a main color band and finaly the main color with a black band.

He did the same trick with the stockings which dramatically changes the look of the outfit.

The finale choice you get is long or short sleeves all as you might expect from Hugo’s in all available layers including the tattoo one.

T and T - Boots

Lullala gave us a call and invited us over to see her latest release, a pair of boots to use as an accessory to her famous chastity belt.

The heavy metal look to the boots definitely matches their intent : this is heavy metal restriction gear, not fluffy girls-just-want-to-have-fun fashion.

So turn on the cuffs, the straps, the spikes, the padlocks.. you know, these should come with a walking-with-metal-boots-AO ;)

The boots are just one of a couple of wall-fulls of accessories for the chastity belt, so make sure you have a look around the castle-store.

And if you have an older version of the chastity belt, you should get the update installed. Make sure you have time - it look lelo 10 minutes on a fast connection, and the process shouldn’t be interrupted.

The sign near the updater warns you to give things time to settle before taking off belt or plugins after the update. Knowledgeable staff is there to assist you if you need.

There’s a demo chastity belt you should definitely look at if you are interested in T&T products : it works for a half hour, giving you a good bit of time to learn the features.

The T&T crew have been at it again and made another addition to the ever growing belt family.

The belt controls all aspects of the boots, from the looks of the boots, which will automatically follow the looks of the belt, to the good old RLV options.

The options list is very long, too long for our blog, and the menu matches that length so better take some time to learn the ropes, or chains in this case. *winks*

Next to the color and texture change you also get the possibility to tweak the look of your boots by adding chains, d-rings and spikes to your boots.

These boots come only in a V2 version and come with 4 different height alpha layers.

Finally i just have to mention the lovely little locks on the boots when you lock them.

Red Devil - Cleavage Catsuit and Bumble Bee

Some fun new releases from Red Devil this week : the Cleavage Catsuit, and Bumble Bee.

Dementia also sent us the Sheer N Hot body, but we’re running out of room here, so you get it as vendor pic only (although it's very nice).

You’ll be amazed by the number of parts in Bumble Bee, as it comes in several versions - lelo explains it really well ;) It’s a fun outfit, and with Hallowe’en coming, it may win you a few costume contests.

The Cleavage catsuit has some really great reflections. In the colors, you get the feeling of transparent colored latex not touching the skin quite everywhere.

Note that the nipples are pretty prominent, so you’ll want to think about wearing something more on non-adult sims. Covers are hinted to be in the works ;)

The nice long black gloves are included with Cleavage, but not the boots, so I dug my nice old Kayliwulf strapped ones out of the closet... a good match.

Bumble Bee is a fun little outfit for those themed parties, though i’m sure that the average fairy will love the wings and i just adore the little stinger.

You get 3 choices in the package, black on color, color on black and only a harness in color, the color being one of the following: black, baby blue, blue, neon green, baby pink, pink, teal, silver, red and purple.

You get all the layers so you can mix and match them with your favorite catsuits, corsets or jackets.

The catsuit comes in the same colors as the Bumble Bee and offers you the option to go bare breasted, sorry no picture of that one guys, or not and it, once again, comes in all layers.

The reflections look great and i just love the white border around the tear shaped cutout.

In both cases, batteries.. ehh boots not included, just so you are warned.

Naughty N Nice - Justified Oxford

Lelo spotted the Justified Oxford shoes from Naughty N Nice at the Rubber Room mall, and I had to admit that they looked good.

There’s more to Naughty N Nice than shoes and boots, however. Nice and naughty clothes, skins, and a number of fun accessories I’ll let you discover.

I will add that her partner, Koose DeGroot, makes motorcycles so expect quite a bit of leather :)

The Oxfords are really fun, with an all prim look that suits patent leather very nicely.

While visiting the very classy and nicely laid-out store, I saw a sign mentioning a shopping event from Sunday September 11th to Monday the 19th.

How can you say no to a pair of classic Oxford pumps, especialy when they come with good sized platform and killer heels.

The prim work is quite good on these, i especially love the look of the laces.

You get a V1 and V2 option, so even those who just can’t say goodbye to the good old V1 viewers, these boots will work for you as well.

The boots come with a nice, easy to use, HUD that offers you control of the walking sound, size settings, skin tone and nail polish color.

I had to adjust the position of one boot and the second preset skin was a good match so thumbs up for that.

These boots come in: red suede, black suede (sorry no blue suede), zebra, spotted, skulls and spikes, tiger and Oxford, the classic version we feature here.

Help Wanted : Pony Columnist(s)

Hello everyone :)

Much as lelo and I love ponies and pony play, we are somewhat disconnected from the scene - the daily blog does eat a fair bit of our time.

So we’d love to find someone who is knowledgeable, has been around the ponyplay scene for some time, and who could give useful information to our readers.

It might be difficult to find a new thing to say every week.

If you want to join with the understanding that you’ll be on the team but not sole responsible, that works for us.

Topics to be covered include pony places, events, advice, gear... anything useful and entertaining. See the previous Pony Correspondent posts for inspiration.

I’ll add that we have on occasion covered puppy play as related to pony, so an occasional post would be welcome.

What else? Ideally you’re comfortable writing in English, even if it’s your second language.

Think Kink - Xaminator

We hadn’t heard from Think Kink in a while... some silences are ominous ;)

The evil minds (and evil little hands!) have been busy : the Xaminator here is just the first of a series of devices that will be coming soon, with entertaining names like Humiliator, Flytrap, and a number of others.

This entertaining toy, then, is not just cool-looking. It contains the latest version of the TK scripts, improved, lightened, and all the great taste with just half the calories.

In particular, one new feature bondage bunnies everywhere have apparently been clamoring for is the timer. In typical TK fashion, they made the coolest looking one around - no stupid floating text here.

What else? The usual PerfectPose (for TK - you need to look around a fair piece to find those features on other toys) adjustment to the avatar size system.

RLV enthusiasts should avoid (or come stand in reach of) the Graboid, whose pedigree is described in the card and which I won’t spoil ;)

Since this device isn’t all black shiny metal, there’s a nice set of colors you can set it to aside from the default red shown here. Even the metal can be changed - I like the silver and medical green combo.

Drop by Think Kink, and give the Xaminator a spin.. it’s the first thing inside the door. Have fun ;)

Boohoo a new toy from the girls at Think Kink, ohh wait that’s just the expression the toy puts on my face, doesn’t quite match my RL expression right now. *winks*

It takes a bit of work to adjust the pose but at least on this one you can adjust it and as you already know the toy, all of them in SL, will remember it.

The sound effects of the vibes are very realistic and add to the role-playing experience, i wonder how they recorded those, must have been quite some fun to do that.

The chair comes with some very nice goodies, like a RLV relay, cuffs, whip, dildo and paddle.

As a bonus with the cuffs, you also get a DEM collar. It's a basic model, but free is good, eh?

So get ready for hours of RPing fun, and don’t look so sad its all in good fun.
