Perversion Island : LatexDoll Factory

First fetish spot we’ll review on Perversion Island is the new LatexDoll Factory, managed by the stunning latex mistress, Minako Yoshiyuki.

Like other themed buildings in Perversion, it is dedicated to one fetish and meant to welcome those who appreciate it.

The décor is abandoned factory, techno-industrial-postmodern, with a lot of steel plate, cement, and machines you’d expect to see in a science-fiction movie or a latex doll’s wildest wet dream.

Deirdre Young : “Please tell me about your place.”

Minako Yoshiyuki : “Well, this is/will become a latexdoll factory and a latex fetishist hangout.”

Deirdre : “I see you have some things already in place.”

Minako : “We have a latex coating device that literally coats a person in liquid latex, effectively giving them a whole new skin. The latex is then treated, washed, and applied to the flesh to make it feel natural as possible.”

Deirdre : “And are those holding cells ?”

Minako : “Yes, they're designed for people that like to remain here and to be brought out to play.”

Deirdre : “When do you hope to be fully operational ?”

Minako : “Either before Christmas, or maybe we’ll have a grand opening on new years”

Deirdre : “Are you thinking of making a group, or will this just be a play space?”

Minako : “So far I envision this place to be a playspace/social gathering spot”

Nemesis Nefarious Designs : model 07 transboots

A fun, original ballet boot with a skyscraper heel, cool prim work, and some neat options, which I will let my ballet boot expert introduce ;)

First time i saw these boots on display i just wanted the buy them, only problem was the weren't for sale yet.

Many weeks later they finally were on offer and i got them immediately.

That's when i noticed that a display even a 3d one can be very misleading, and that you should always look for the real deal being worn by someone else.

Needless to say i was a bit disappointed, i guess the long wait got my expectations up a bit to high.

The boots have a good looking leather cuff around the ankle and some very nice looking heel.

Due to the lack of texture on the front of the boot, the boot, sadly, looks to long.

It has a nice little menu, which lets you change the color of the 3 bands on the front of the boots and change the boot into a pony boot, which looks better than the ballet boot.

With the pony boots the length of the boots looks more natural (not that a pony boot is in any way natural *winks*).

The thing that misses is a nice texture and the option to lock the boots, which makes the locks on the sides a bit pointless.

I hope Khrome will reopen her store one of these days and fix the texture and scripting, my fairlight's are getting worn and i need a pair of good ballets so i can change them once in a while.

Badkatz: Leashkat

Deirdre:

LeashKat is a great catsuit by Badkatz designer Yummy Freelunch. It's one of the first pieces I got from her, way back when, and certainly not the last.

The amazing textures on the front are simply the best use of photography to make clothing that I've seen in Second Life. The straps, the studs, the leather folds on the arms.. all awesome.

There is almost no need for accessories; just put on some good boots and you're set.

Once you're done admiring the front, you'll notice the daring bare back - see, I wore my hair up for you guys. You just have to show off that dramatic central strap.

The store has gone through several incarnations, always improving. The current layout is terrific, things are easy to find, and new arrivals clearly indicated. Drop by and tell Yummy Deirdre sent you ;)

The first thing you notice about this outfit is the wonderful texture of the top.

The second thing you notice is that this amazing texture isn't continued on the pants, which are rather plain looking.

The belts, or leashes if you go by the name of the outfit, look great, though somehow they miss depth, i guess we have been seeing to many prim belts lately.

This outfit would be one of the top outfit's in SL, if Yummy had put the same care and attention into the texture of the sleeves and pant legs, as she did to the texture of the top.

This is a real budget bargain, with these prices you can really fill your wardrobe with nice clothing. *smiles*

Maison Broceliande - Armbinder

The latest bondage toy from Maison Broceliande, a lovely and detailed arm binder covered in zips, straps and buckles.. hey, like half my wardrobe! ;)

Yhis was kind enough to demonstrate the multiple chain : she hitched up three girls and pulled them around with one leash. This may not be something you need to do every day, but it looks pretty amazing.

A note for taller girls: you may need to shorten your arms for the binder to fit.

Make a copy of your shape with different arms if you want to save time, and switch between them. Took lelo all of 30 seconds.

The MB armbinder is a thing of beauty, showing Yhis' talent for realistic bondage gear, and it's good to see that the scripting is getting better and better.

With the set you get the armbinder, a hitching post, a wall ring, a hitch column and a leash holder, all of them of good quality.

The hitching points are all copy so you can put them all over SL, and use them to hitch your subs to them.

As you would expect from a brand new bondage item, it is Restrained Life compatible, supports multiple owners and uses the real chain function.

A MB specialty is the seqchain option making it possible to make a chain of subs.

Another thing i like about the MB script is the fact that you can leash a sub everywhere and that s/he stays hitched even after a re-log.

Finally the armbinder offers many functions you might expect from a collar, like poses, prefix and channels for chat commands.

Maison Broceliande has firmly taken it's place in the short list of great bondage gear suppliers in SL, at least that's my humble opinion.

A true must have for every bondage dolly in SL.

Kayliwulf Kingdom : Red Dragon

One thing I love about Kayliwulf is how *rich* the colors are. This Red Dragon outfit is straight off a fire engine, and makes the shine really stand out. I feel like I should still have the new car smell ;)

As this little red dress leaves a lot of skin bare, I decided to accessorize a bit for a change and add a few items from other designers, as we do in real Second Life.

The jacket is from Cipher, and is similar to the one I reviewed in black. I thought the white would look awesome, and what do you know? I was right!

The collar is from Sweetest Sin, and since I was going white here, I bought a second one and made it white with a leather texture I stole, chopped up, lightened, and generally tortured in Photoshop until it looked good, then uploaded, applied, stretched.. if that leather isn't distressed, then it was meant to be kinky.

Great lacing on the boots, dress and gloves, great prim heels.. this dragon is the starting point of great outfits!

Perversion Island : Introduction

We're kicking off a new series of posts today, which will run every Friday for quite a while.

Consider subscribing to the RSS feed, it's going to be amazing! ;) You know, the orange thingy. Or get it delivered in your mail program! You're smart, I know you'll figure it out.

You'll remember that we already spoke about Bound and Determined, the play and social spot owned by Kailani Ling.

When the sim under B&D went on sale, Kailani got concerned for her club, and decided to buy it, and devote the whole place to kink.

The concept is simple : a city with places for the most fetishes around, for now a rubber doll factory, a kennel and a sleazy motel are set up, but there is much more to come.

The really great thing about Perversion is the fact that Kailani is only setting up the layout of the city.

Each play area will be headed by someone who is in touch with the wishes of the community it's aimed at.

We will feature each play area, tell you what it offers and talk to the people who run it.

And if we find any special things in the stores we just might feature those as well *smiles*

Jaqueline Fashion : Latexia black set

What first caught my eye in this outfit was the gorgeous prim mask, of course. And for a leather goddess, I seem to be spending a lot of time in latex. Oh, well.. I'm nothing if not open-minded.

(Out of the box, the mask attaches to your left ear, you may want to change that to your nose before you spend a lot of time adjusting the position... like I did.)

This is a complete outfit with a fair bit of variety, and a few fun splashes of red. Two different tops, two pairs of pants, plus a skirt, gloves and undies along with the mask.. add shoes and you're dressed for any fetish party.

The first top has a rather large chest opening highlighted in red, and a cute little Venus symbol. The second top is the same with two slender crossing straps.

The pants have daring holes on the tush.. either open, or covered up in red. I'm not sure I totally love it either way, but you have to take risks sometimes.

I loved the large, airy store, and found it easy to navigate. A mezzanine floor lets you look at much of the contents at a glance. Note that latex is definitely not Jaqueline's only line. I'll be back to look more closely at the leather ;)

Mistress just can't help herself when she sees a good looking mask, she just needs to get it *smiles*

In this case the mask is a single sculpted prim. Pretty amazing work, though it has a few little drawbacks. For one the nose part is a bit long and secondly SL can't really handle these sculpties which makes the sides look inverted when you look closely

The top looks great, and the skirt has some nice reflections. As usual with skirts in SL, it makes your butt stick out, but then i guess most girls around SL already have a extra butt-less skirt shape.

There is one thing that puzzles us about the skirt, why would a no trans object be no mod, some adjustments to this skirt would make life a lot easier.

The one thing that really makes this outfit are the folds under the knees and on the arms, looks good, giving it the feeling of loose fitting latex.

The holes in the pants are daring and fun, but not for everyone. A third version of pants with no holes might make this outfit accessible to more buyers.

KDC : deluxe head harness

Deirdre:
A fun bondage harness from KDC, with lots and lots of straps and buckles. This is more a bondage toy and less pony gear - no red felt under the straps, and not quite the look of tack.

The shape is very nice, and I like how all the straps tie to the around-the-ear piece and curve around the head.

Good fit all around except the rear vertical strap, which digs into lelo's head when we make the harness tight.

The gag forces the mouth open, which as I've mentioned before, I also like a lot.

We had trouble recently shooting some prim items - they vanished from sight when we zoomed in. Today's new server deployment fixed that.. just in time for this shoot. So thank you Lindens from all of us fetish photographers ;)

This was one of first toys, with the harness come a ball gag, a ring gag and a blindfold, there is an extra optional pony kit, but as you might know i went for the KDC bridle and not the kit.

The biggest missing option with this kit is the absents of some scripting in the harness, so in the end it's purely decoration, decoration i love to wear but one of these days i'll have to write some script for this one. Anyone have a nice locking sound they aren't using? *winks*

The buckles are very plain as is the texture but than i think this is a rather old design from Kyrah, but i hope she will consider updating it with some better buckles and texture.

I love the way the snap fastener look on the harness when the attachments aren't used, and the blindfold and gags match the fasteners without much fuss.

All in all this harness has grown on my, i've seen ones with scripting, better buckles, better texture... still i love this harness, it has become a part of me i guess.

Fancy Fashion: Alicia ankle boots

As usual, seeing someone wearing boots by Sean Taurog brought me to the store, and I just had to have those ankle boots.

The length is just perfect.. it's so eighties that it begs for big hair, padded shoulders and designer jeans.

The texture is gorgeous. You see great patent or PVC reflections... once you lighten it in Photoshop ;) Seriously, the boots just need to be a touch lighter to be stunning.

The last two pics in this post lightened in Photoshop for demonstration purposes.

(A designer was just telling me recently that textures don't look the same on prims as on simple clothing... This could be an example of the difference.)

The heel click sound is external, which can be good if you still have spots to attach it... I'm running out ;)

Positioning the shaft took a bit of doing.. I found that lowering it a fair bit avoided an unpleasant "ball-joint" effect. (All prim boots share that problem, though.) The seam on the out side of the heel will help you find the intended position.

All that being said, this is a gorgeous boot, and I love it.

The Alicia boots are very nice looking 80's ankle boots.

The prim work on them is very good, especially the belts are very nicely done and look like the real deal. There is just one small thing wrong with them, the buckle is pointing in the wrong direction. The pin should point away from the end of the belt.

The lacing is of a high quality and must have taken quite some time to get right, the high lights on the laces work great.

The heels look good as well, can't remember seeing a reflection on a heel like that, though somehow the arch of the boot seems a bit off.

The invisi prim is just a bit to long which shows by cutting the leg of just a bit above the boot, funny effect...

These boots show great promise, and with some work they could rival the Bax boots.

Kayliwulf Kingdom: Penny Lane

Penny Lane - the latex outfit - caught my eye at my last visit at Kayliwulf, and it looks as good on lelo as the vendor pictures suggested.

I had lelo model that one, because a) I can't be hogging all the nice Kayliwulf outfits, and b) I had a hunch that her curves would show off the outfit better than my own more slender silhouette.

The texture was clearly designed to look good on bell-bottoms.. a nice change from "spray-on" skintight pants often seen in latex. And maybe bell-bottoms are the sixties reference in the name.

A nice classy look, original and fun.

Nice little number from Kayliwulf Kingdom.

And for once almost PG, ok it would turn some heads in RL *winks*.

The top it almost transparent in all the right places, well it's a milky kind of latex they use, but it makes the top close to PG.

The rear of the top... well there really isn't one in this case, just the reflections on the milky transparent latex, all the way down to my tush.

The pants have the usual KK latex reflections, and end in some very nice bell-bottoms. i didn't like them in the 70's, but on this outfit they work.

The outfit is completed with the KK 10" platform strap pump, in the same color as the rest of the outfit, and they work well with the bell-bottoms.

The pump comes with the controls Laz has been putting in most of his new prim shoes/boots, giving you control over the sound, AO and bling.

All in all, a good addition if you want to take your love for latex into the PG parts of SL, and yes they exist *winks*

Mesmerize Dungeon : Deluxe Latex Catsuit

I had a sudden impulse to spoil lelo, so I took her shopping. Mesmerize Dungeon is a neat place, techno-fetish style, I guess you'd say.

The hood looks very good, and we've looked at more than a few from other designers - most didn't look nice to me.

This catsuit is shiny in the right places, and comes with a built-in SPZ - Strategically Placed Zipper.

The perfect gift for the rubber doll who has everything : more rubber ;)

A new addition to my wardrobe cutesy of my Mistress.

This is a full body suit covering you from head to toe with thick shiny rubber, pity SL doesn't have smellovision. *winks*

The set contains both clothing layers, great for mixing and matching.

The hood has small holes for the eyes, mouth and two little nose holes, there is little to no skin shown, so you don't get another look from the skin.

The catsuit has some nicely placed zippers, a double sided one over the back and covering the crotch, two on the calf's to fit you boots under it and one on the back of the head.

The reflections are great and give the suit a rubbery look when you zoom in on the texture you get the feeling you can see things in the reflections.

The suit has some darker lines on it giving the impression of seams where the suit is fused together.

As a bonus you get a pair of platform boot, not really my taste, but a nice extra none the less.

A good base for every rubber doll's outfit... just add the lockable toys... well you get the drift.. *smiles*

NanoGunk : Catsuit, "Slinky Circles Blue"

This is one of my favorite catsuits, and it would be showing wear if there was such a thing in Second Life. I wear it as something to cover in good accessories, almost like a skin.

The reflections don't say latex to me.. more a spandex or PVC. The texture has a grain you can see up close, but just gives a great realistic feel from a distance.

The holes are a fun touch, and are certainly distinctive. No worries about running into someone wearing the same style as you, unless it's actually Nanogunk too ;)

Included with the basic catsuit are two transparent versions, one 50% visible and one 75% visible. They *are* fun, but you'll need the included panties and bra (or nipple covers) if you're not in an adult sim.

I love my shoulder gloves - either you're a leather goddess or you are *not* a leather goddess - but I had to edit appearance and shorten the catsuit sleeves so my gloves showed.. Deirdre's tip of the week for you ;)

Very good-looking catsuit, no visible lines where the bottom meets the top.

The texture is different from any i have seen on latex in SL, it's not as shiny as PoC's and when you zoom in it consists of little dots.

But the two things that make this catsuit stand out are the holes in the side of it and the nice little logo on the back.

This one is truly for the girls, as the reflections really focus on the breasts.

Minx Shoe Design : Boots, "Badass Babygirl"

Deirdre:

Another excellent boot from Minx, Badass Babygirl is a platform knee boot with a skyscraper heel, lacing in front, and amazingly detailed buckled knee and ankle straps.

The heel sounds are controlled via a menu in the right heel, and are extremely convincing. I feel like I'm scuffing the floors everywhere I go when I have the steel heel sound on ;)

It's difficult to tell for sure, but I would guess the heels are 8" high, with a 2" platform. Which makes a killer six-inch heel that you wouldn't wear for any extended period in RL. Isn't Second Life great?

I could wish the boots were mod, I might reduce the calf a little. But it's a minor thing... I love my boots tight.

As I examined my boots for this article, I noticed the boots sink in the ground a bit... just enough to throw off the proportions of the platform when you stand.

If anyone is looking that closely at your boots, though, you should have a seat, relax, and let them kneel in front of you... because they probably want to lick them ;)

I love these boots, they have the highest heels and i *do* love high heels.

The boots have a nice platform, which is just right, not the stripper kind, just an elegant looking platform.

You just have to look at the way the belts around the ankle and just under the knee are buckled to understand that Nikki loves details.

Details like the little lashes to pull the boots up or the laces that move with every step.

I get the name of these boots, they really look badass and i guess being knee high makes them babygirl size.

And finally there is the sound they make, the steel scratching the floor sends shivers down my spine, as you might have noticed i really *do* love heels.

Still a woman wearing these boots sends only one message, "here comes trouble..."

And ohh i love that kind of trouble... *winks*

The Odium

Deirdre:
I'm going to stop complaining about how evil these toys make me seem. I promise. Soon.

The Odium is a wicked-looking, padlocked, heavy-duty, no-kidding-about-it chastity belt. Metal bumps in front, chains in the back, this would give any medieval princess serious chills.

It gives a good metallic contrast over lelo's rubber.. along with her wrist and arm cuffs, and the Amethyst collar matching, the Odium looks like part of a set of metal restraints.

We looked for the store, and only found a little spot in the Little Shop of Kink mall. Which is perfectly fine, not every designer churns out hundreds of items.

So there you go. Add the metal mask, and you'll need a dolly to wheel around your dolly ;)

Hmmm where to begin with my odium.... i love it and i hate it, so i guess it does what it's supposed to do. *winks*

It looks great, like Mistress says, there is no doubt what this belt is all about.

I practically live in it, it's somewhat like my second collar, another part of my Mistresses control over me.

There are two little things i don't like about the belt, well three when you count the obvious,it's a chat spammer first class when someone wants to be funny and flicks the odium.

Luckily mine is owned by my Mistress so she is the only one who can flick it.

The other thing i don't like is the way there always seems to dangle something from the plug.

The things i like about it, next to the wicked look, is the good scripting and that it's easy to hide in a PG sim.

The scripting gives the owner the control over the plugs and of course the locking of the belt, but also the timer, coloring and chastity.

This chastity is a great addition for user of Xcite! or sensations genitals, turning the chastity on prohibits the genitals from cumming.

With the coloring you can change the look of the odium to match your outfit, or in my case my cuffs and collar.

All in all a great addition to every subs outfit, shows you mean business *smiles*

Kayliwulf Kingdom : Yin Yang

Yin and Yang is a new outfit by Kayliwulf, and it looks good!

Give me a white cloak and I can do a fair White Queen impression. Here's a link for the culturally challenged ;)

The lacing is a fun detail but fades somewhat in white. The prim laces on the dress, gloves and stockings are a lovely little touch.

Clean and classy, a good foundation for an outfit, but you may want to accessorize.

Another lovely creation from kayliwulf.

Based on their prim boot, this time with lacing down the back of them.

The boots are white with white lacing and silver eye-holes, another color for the lacing would have worked better, but i guess that would not have worked with the design.

The boots are combined with black latex stockings, which peek over the tops of the boots, giving it the Yin & Yang effect.

The white dress has the same lacing as the boots, here the Yin & Yang effect is being achieved by a nice bit of black lace at the top of the cups.

The short, short dress suffers from the way short dresses are drawn in SL, which is a pity, i hope this will be resolved in a future update.

The set is finished off by a pair of nice opera length gloves, and you'll guess right, once again there is a lacing, this time along the top.

Sadly there is no black in the gloves, to keep with the Yin & Yang style.

Kinky-O! Black Leather Spiked collar

Lelo had trouble with her Amethyst collar some time back, and when I mentioned this to Kailani Ling, she immediately offered me a replacement from her Kinky-O! collection. She has showed time and again that she is not just a smart businessperson but a thoughtful, friendly lady.

(To finish with the Amethyst collar script crash : we never heard back from her, and lelo figured out how to fix the problem - resetting the script. She lost all her configurations but it got the collar working again.)

The Kinky-O! collar is well-made, in a leather and spikes way. Lelo's more of a rubber doll, so it was a change for her.

The commands are straightforward, similar to Amethyst's, so there was no confusion or long learning curve.

With sixty animations included for free - it will be a fun evening or three going through all of them ;)

So if you are looking for an intro collar, I would definitely recommend this one.

Simple collar of a simple design, the real great thing about the Kinky-O! collars is the many, many versions Kailani offers.

We have chosen the black leather spiked collar, it's got a simple leather look and the spikes give it a bit of a goth look.

It doesn't offer all the options the Amethyst does but it has all the things you need: 60 pose, owner system and leashing.

The collar is controlled with the usual chat commands, and has the useful channel option to cut clutter in local chat, as well as the prefix option (useful if you have more than one collared slave).

This collar is a great option for someone who wants a stable, inexpensive collar with a personal design.

The Kinky-O! scripting is much more advanced and stable than what you'll find in freebie collars - those crash each and every time there is a Monday in the week.

One thing i miss is the option to put an owner's name, or any other text, on the collar.

Going on the experience we have with Kailani, the customer service should be way better than the service Amethyst offers... or better, doesn't offer.

Even if you're not looking for a collar, you should have a look at the Kinky-O! Shop, loads of nice toys and most you can test in the shop itself *smiles*

POC Latex catsuit

To my eye, this catsuit looks more like a coat of blood-red nail polish than like latex.

The reflections look super realistic, with a number of rich tints setting the bar quite high for other latex designers.

The store has a nice, simple layout and a cool, trendy warehouse feel... you won't get lost in this one.

One little annoyance : the "neon lighting" above the vendors look realistic, and would make a lot of sense in RL.. but here they just interfere with seeing the top of the picture.

The latex texture of Powers Of Creation is just amazing, the shine on it is so deep it's almost liquid. The first time i saw it, i was sold.

POC offers a wide variety of colors in their latex, but all with the same liquid quality.

Kai doesn't have outfits like Kayliwulf does but concentrates on basic clothing and color combination's. Sadly this means that he only work with textures and cuts, but don't use prims in his designs. I wonder what he could do if he would combine his texturing work with prims, lets hope he will take up that challenge.

The prices are very low if you consider how much you get with every purchase.

The store is very clean but as usual with this amount of vendors a bit laggy, i just love the way the different products are displayed and are delivered in those little cans.

Black and this blood red are the best colors, but that's just my humble opinion, just try them all... *smiles*

Steel Mask by Illyria Eros

Another lovely device which contributes to my evil reputation. This is more a head cage than a simple mask. Locks, blindfold visor, echoes.. this is heavy metal bondage ;)

I like the shape, although I might have put a few more straps at the top to hold the thing in place.. fortunately, gravity is not a huge factor in Second Life... lelo would need neck muscles like a wrestler to hold that up.

Satisfying clicks and clacks when you lock the various bits on, a convincing metal texture, and a medieval-ish design.. this is just the right toy for the bondage bunny in your Second Life.

One of my more severe looking masks, it looks massive and it is... This was one of those things i saw and just had to have, just like Mistress always tells you.

Only problem was finding it, at that time i hadn't learned the little inspect trick and the mask and it's wearer were gone before i could ask about it.

Somehow this feels like years ago. Problem with the mask is, it's a one of, it's the only product Illyria makes or better sells, so the vendors are small and hard to find.

The mask covers the full face leaving small looking hole and a hole for the mouth, so you can still uses that *winks*, if set right the hud gives you a "realistic" view trough the holes or total darkness if the looking holes are closed off by a metal plate.

The mask it self is of a simple design, just the way i like it, good texture and easily fitted to the head, the locks and rings look realistic and give the mask a realistic look. Only thing i don't like it the fact that Illyria doesn't make more toys like this.

A must have for every bondage lover out there, most severe looking thing yet.... but hey we are just starting... who knows what we'll find...

The Black Boot Club

Founded by Mistress Elly Dagger, the Black Boot Club is a place for boot lovers and boot wearers.

The emphasis is strongly femdom-femsub, but male doms and subs are welcome. Elly is a strict domme, and any sub who hopes to be well received here had better be on their best behavior.

The club is not your typical strip joint, it's really more meant as a social and play space for boot fetishists. The conversation frequently turns to shopping - you're shocked, I know - and I've certainly seen some of the best boots in Second Life worn here.

So pull on your best boots and come on by if you want good company, good music, and good fetishwear-clad ladies... and, to be honest, a few bad fetishwear-clad ladies too. ;)

It has 2 levels, the ground floor is for dancing and conversation, the upstairs is more for role play and offers some very nice bondage toys.

The main goal of the club it to be a meeting place for like minded people, in this case mostly Mistresses and their subs. Most evenings are filled with some dancing and mostly conversation.

a nice extra feature is the picnic area on the beach, a great place to see the sun rise from the sea.

The club is owned by Mistress Elly Dagger, who, unlike most other club owners, has no real financial objectives with the club, though tips are most welcome to keep the club running *winks*. This is most notable by the lack of dancers and tip jars on every square meter of the club.

So all in all a great place for some intelligent conversation about topics close to our hearts and the music at the club shouldn't go unmentioned, a great mix of 80's and 90's classics. Gives the place an extra edge over the other hip hop, techno, goth... filled clubs.

Ohh one final little thing i should mention, the line dances, a real must see....

Kayliwulf Fashion Show at Playboy Sim

Fashion shows are great fun. Fetish fashion shows? You'd have to use a stick to keep me away.

Kayliwulf's fashion show last Saturday was the usual professional production by Daphne Goodnight and crew. There's no way to bring a lot of people (79 at one point) to a sim and not get hit by the lag monster, but the models did well despite a challenging environment - I crashed twice and I wasn't even walking around.

(Of course that got me wondering: could you do a fashion show at the edge of one sim and have the crowd sitting on an adjacent sim? It wouldn't help the crowd, but it would help the models. Just a thought.)

Potvin Tigerpaw did a terrific job of dj and narrator for the fashion show. He has a great Torley-like sound (think California surfer dude and frequent "haha.." or go on Youtube and search for "Torley Second Life tutorial", you'll see what I mean) and really sounded like he was enjoying himself.

I was wearing Shaved Ice, so it was pretty neat to see it modeled. Of course, I think it looked better on me.. ;)

It has been a while since the last Fashion show from Kayliwulf, so we were quite excited to go to this one.

As usual, the sim was packed to capacity, which, sadly, slowed things to a crawl.

A funny thing was the fact that after 10 minutes or so the models rezzed somewhere over the water, the stage and with it the backstage area rezzed a couple of minutes later.

The lineup consisted of the usual nice latex outfits from KK, among them the Shaved Ice outfit we featured a couple of weeks ago. It's a shame that KK has so little latex for the boys, after 6 times the same latex tux in different colors we had gotten the idea...

The DJ (Potvin Tigerpaw) was very good and funny, though no substitute for DJ Laz.. His comments were nicely complemented by Daphne's explanation in chat.

All in all, a good show from the KK models, i saw some nice tops and dresses i hadn't seen "live"....
